Tents and Teradins

It was clear Lya was not entirely open to the suggestion of being blocked out, but did go along with the practice. Both of them putting a barrier up to keep the other out. The little wolf had more practice and kept Ra out far easier. Laughing a bit at the answer Vulps gave, Ra nodded with that smile on her face.

"Now that does sound like it could be interesting. So just close the door and it's done? Seems so easy in saying it, but far harder in practice."

She stubborn but not a mentalist. Maybe just by being stubborn, she could learn to keep Lya out.

"Over time it can become second nature. Ace and I had a lot of practice with the amount of times I ended up getting shot at. She may not like it now, but I'm sure that in time, Lya will be grateful for it." As such communication wasn't through the force, there wasn't much Vulpesen could do in way of monitoring Ra and Lya's progress, but he could certainly see her working for it. "I suppose the best way to put it, is that you need to will her not to see what is in your mind, or what you're feeling. To decide that all that is happening is only felt by you. When I took blasters to the leg, I willed the pain to not go any farther than me. And Ace willed connection between us to close so that it didn't reach him. You could of course, also trying pushing throughs to the back of your mind where they're harder to reach."

"How long have you two been together anyway? I'm pretty sure that's a huge factor in things. Lya and I have been connected what maybe two months? This being the first time we've had a good solid chance to get away and focus on our bond."

Distance for them right now mattered, but she didn't think that would be case for long. Nodding at his advice though, she would have to work on things. And as she thought about feelings, Lya looked up sort of did a humph and turned away. Closing the door between them with ease, Ra just looked at her shook her head.

Turning back to Vulps if Lya had been talking to Ace and they weren't closed off, he would know what thought Ra had.

"Want to put this to a test?"

If looks meant anything, he should be able to read hers easily...

Raising a brow at Lya's hmph, Vulpesen turned to face her as she turned back. Ace had refrained from distracting her with his own thoughts, and as such, Vulpesen was unaware of what was in Ra's thoughts. At least, he was until he looked up and found himself trapped in her gaze. Easily catching her meaning, he flicked his tail over, wrapping it warmly around her waist while a smile spread across her lips. "Well, practice does make perfect." Leaning forward, he caught her lips in another kiss, ensuring that he closed the door between himself and Ace, the latter of whom went off to join Lya.

There was no need for any further sleep, so the time spent now in the tent passed, but eventually came to an end. Practice was indeed done, but Lya still had the upper hand in things and Ra laid happily next to Vulps. Arms, legs and his tail all wrapped together.

"Still going to need to work on my end of that, but this is going to be quite fun."

Smiling broadly as she looked at him, Ra poked his nose just slightly.

"So what are the plans for the rest of the day anyway?"

[member="Vulpesen"]

Laying with Ra in the cover of the tent, Vulpesen found himself in a bit of a daze, his arms encircling her as she poked and asked her question. "Fun's certainly a way to describe it." He playfully nipped at her finger as it retreated back to its owner. "I was thinking maybe a ride through the woods, see what we can spot. Was there something you wanted to do?" Despite his words, and the plans he had made, it was increasingly obvious that he wouldn't complain if all she wanted to do was lay there tangled together, with his fingertips idly tracing random designs across her back.

"You're the camper here, not me, Vulps."

Laughing at the play nap, she relaxed to his touch and just rested her head on him.

"I wouldn't mind seeing what is out there. Considering I already know about certain trees. With you around, I'll be fine anyway."

"Then I guess a trail rides in order." Leaning his head forward, he placed a small kiss to the top of hers. Feeling her resting against him was wonderful, and something he could certainly get used to. He of course had had the suspicion that certain entertainments would be had when he invited her on this trip, but revelations of love and affection like this were more than he could have hoped for. "Though, it might be better if we got dressed before going out." There was a tinge in regret in his voice, brought on by the idea of leaving their comfortable position.

The soft kiss almost meant more than anything else to her. A simple sign of tenderness that went hand in hand with the care he had shown her. In his answer to her unspoken question the day before, had been a surprise. This camping trip was proving far more enlightening than almost anything else Ra had been through. However, while he might know how he felt...she did not know her own.

Chuckling, she nodded and started gathering up her belongings.

"What do you expect to come across out here?"

Sitting up, Vulpesen called his clothes into his hand, thankful that the force allowed him to do so without ever getting up. As he redressed, his cast another glance towards Ra. "Maybe a few teradins. A Pack of zipher if we're unlucky. If we are lucky, maybe a couple of pythros. Sure their poison breath can make you bleed from places you didn't know you could bleed from, but I'm fairly certain I can prevent them from puffing up and letting it go." Welcome to Veradune, he thought. Where even the most adorable puff balls could kill you in the most gruesome of manners.

Not at all feeling modest as they got dressed, Vulps had seen every bit of her now and there wasn't a reason for it.

"The trees I am aware of. What are the others?"

Searching for her socks by touch, Ra looked at him as she pulled them on over her feet.

[member="Vulpesen"]

"Zipher are bipedal reptilians. I suggest finding something to duck behind when you find them. They have a tendency to shoot acid out of their mouths." Once he had put his trousers and socks back on, he started on his boots. "Pythros are adorable little flying puff balls. I don't suggest getting too close without first calming them with the force. As I said, bleeding from places you didn't know you could bleed from."

[member="Riamah"]

"Of the two I think I would rather come across the puff balls."

He had taught her how to perform beast control, it wasn't something she had gotten to practice. Not one to go out into the wilds often...well she didn't need to use it. Just the basic lesson given to her when they met was all the use she had of it.

"Blood can come from anywhere though..."

[member="Vulpesen"]

"So would I." Slipping on his shirt and Vest, Vulpesen picked up his coat and went to unzip the tent, allowing them to leave it at their leisure. "Fair enough. But still, with the horror stories I've been told, I'd rather not find out just what everywhere entails." Stepping out of the tent, Vulpesen stretched out and let out a satisfied groan as his bones seemed to pop and click into place. Aight, buddy. Get Shadow over here. We're about ready to go. Somewhere off to his right, he could hear the shuffle of grass as Ace responded to his unspoken message, doing as he asked and rousing the larger canine.

Taking only a few minutes longer to get dressed, Ra joined Vulps outside on short order. She was almost surprised he hadn't asked how she knew blood could come out pretty much anywhere, but he had spent time with the sith as well. So he very likely already knew even if he didn't say it. They had talked a little of their respective pasts and knew some of where the other had come from.

"Would put healing to the test for sure. Something I can't do."

Lya ran up to her and found her way to wrap up around her neck and sit on her shoulders.

"Ready to go. You;ll have to point out anything else that's interesting."

Whistling for Shadow to come over, Vulpesen waited until the large fox to swing his tails around, forming a sort of step system with witch the two humanoids could climb aboard. Settling down on the mount's back, Vulpesen offered a hand to help Ra up behind him. "Considering how many times I've been shot, I'm sure I could help you learn to heal if you want. Just try not to put yourself in too many positions where you'll need it." Hearing for her request to be notified of anything interesting, he gave a short nod. "Will do."

[member="Riamah"]

Him helping her up onto Shadow's back was becoming almost tradition by this point and brought a smile to Ra's face. Accepting the hand, she climbed up behind him and wrapped her arms around Vulps.

Muttering into his back, "I'm not sure I can. All part of alignment or something. Not enough light in me?"

Not sure how things worked totally, Ra didn't think healing was an option for her.

[member="Vulpesen"]

Feeling her arms around him, light up a spark of joy in Vulpesen, and in response,he curled his tail around her waist while Shadow secured them on her back. "You ain't much darker than I am, if you are at all. I'm certain that the force will let your mend wounds and knit flesh." Slowly starting off, Shadow trotted through the forest. "I think a lot of it has to do with motivation. The sith are so concerned with greed and power that they block themselves off from such selfless actions. But you've changed Ra. You always had a spark of light in you, and with this path, I believe it's growing."

[member="Riamah"]

There was still a sense of doubt in her, but it lessened some at his words. Time would tell if she was even meant to be a healer. Much more of a logical thinker, less of a Force user and one not to stay back in battle, she didn't think it was an option for her. Granted she preferred to stay in the shadows and move her pawns. They were the ones people would see and not her.

Something she had done all her life. It was just how she was.

"Maybe it is...maybe it isn't. I don't see the change in me honestly. Never fit with the sith and certainly not with the jedi. You started the questioning things when we met and that continues now. Perhaps, I don't belong classed with either."
