[member="Maximilian Vinticus"] I know that feeling. I am such a huge fan of Schwarzenegger, but this...? This just looks garbage, and I count more shots of his T-800 as a CGI creation than I do actually him in person.

It's a big, loud CGI action fest and not the tightly scripted action-thriller we had with the original two that favoured practical effects where possible and a good story.

How would i go about getting a bounty, how would i roleplay that, by that i mean that i know how to roleplay it just that i don't know how to go about starting the roleplay with the Bounty target or how that would work, if someone could help me i would appreciate it very much.

You think he's not REALLY had the impact we thought for his return to films - it's been very rocky for him in the lead to have a string of hits:

'The Last Stand' - $48m ($45m budget)
'Escape Plan' - $137m ($50m budget)
'Sabotage' - $17m ($35m budget)
'Maggie' - $182k ($4.5m budget)
'Terminator Genisys' - ??? ($170m budget)

Obviously this is his BIG Hollywood film since 2013, with big backing and big stars and his big iconic character so I expect it will bring in the bucks. But critically it's so important for him not to have another "meh" return, especially on the one franchise that he is best known for keeping going.

We will just have to wait and see.

I also found this today - an exclusive look at the 'The Terminator observatory punks vs the new 'Terminator Genisys' observatory punks:

What do you think? I miss Bill Paxton, but of course this will be a "new" 1984 timeline, and I hear the iconic "F**K you a**hole!" line is still here. :D

[member="Ludolf Vaas"] This is their 'Days Of Future Past' - keeping it in the timeline of the original 4 Terminator films but now changing things (aka "cheating") to offer a new reboot whilst keeping everything else familiar.

I really can't decide how this is going to be...never has a series, since probably the Superman films, caused so much worry about sequels that just haven't delivered to the original and heads for a car-crash.

I get what they're doing. It's a reboot that's not technically a reboot.

But come on. If you're doing shot-for-shot remakes of scenes like the one with the street punks above, it's a fucking reboot.

The sad thing is that Terminator was once one of the only franchises that had a sequel that was not only good, but actually brilliant. The times they have a-changed.

Seems James Cameron watched this as views it as the 3rd movie, and thinks it's worthy to follow his:

I am guessing Avatar 2's teaser is in the previews for this movie.... but for the film itself.... I don't know the trailer kind of gave away a lot of the surprise for it. I am still going to see it and more then likely it will have its moments of cool.

It should have some nostalgic wow moments, I just fear another over-bloated CGI fest that turns a near horrific-nightmare sci-fi franchise into a cartoony Michael Bay-action fest. I've already seen too much CGI Arnold in the trailers for my liking.

I'm really interested to see what they do in the already established 1984 timeline we know and love, before turning it on it's head.

And something tells me that they wouldn't give the biggest twist to John Connor being a Terminator away on purpose. My betting is he's not even John Connor - I bet Matt Smith is, or something. They're not stupid and won't ruin the whole movie for us; just want to make us THINK we know where it's going.

I'm still debating on going to see this movie. I loved the first two movies in the franchise, Everytime I see the trailer I burst out laughing at old Arnold playing an aging terminator. It just doesnt make sense, I think I will wait for this to come on Netflix.
