The Average Bar Thread Strikes Back

Kixi nodded her head at the Trandoshan with pure satisfaction. She managed to win this battle without killing her opponent. He had just pledged his life to her for life. Nothing could be more satisfying. She smiled. "Rise my ally". Vinskk did as asked and got on his feet. She looked at him again, eye to eye, the fury in her eyes had vanished, she seemed like another person, calmness had finally came to her. "I Kixi Rajki accept your life in which you give to my service." She paused and the continued. "My offer still stands, you may come with me, or you are free to go your own path, if ever I require your services Vinskk, the Force will guide me to you". She could feel the hate inside of him burning in defeat, however she sensed honour in him. He would never attack her again and would give his life to her, her family and her friends if ever required as promised.

Vinskk seethed internally. The way she accepted his oath with such...pride. He wanted to rend her flesh, to feel her skull on his foot as he crushed her head to a grisly pulp. But his honor bound him. The Trandoshan bowed his head in fury and hissed, "Vinskk's life for Human's. Vinskk will go with you." He holstered his carbine and, embarrassed, waited for Kixi's instructions.

Vinskk clearly hated her. She could sense it. Yet his honour and oath for her were stronger. No harm would come to her. She could feel it through the Force. "Very well then". Kixi handed the Trandoshan a data pad. "Here are the coordinates to my orbiting starship. Meet me there in the next 30 minutes. If you have other things to take care of first, inform me now and we'll wait until you are ready", her voice and tone had changed completely. Only 10 minutes had passed, where she had unleashed a fury of hate at the Trandoshan, and now she was as calm and cold as the water in a frozen lake. She could sense just how much this frustrated the Trandoshan. However that's what seperated the elite Jedi from the rest. Vinskk accepted the data pad. "Any more questions before I go?" Kixi asked.

The Trandoshan burnt inside, a fiery inferno of shame and hate. But he controlled himself. He would be shamed in the eyes of the Scorekeeper if he did anything otherwise. So he swallowed his pride and asked, "Where are Trandoshan and Human going?"

"To Coruscant" Kixi replied. "We are going to Coruscant. And I have the perfect mission just for you", Kixi smiled her eyes lit up and menacing once again as well as raising an eyebrow. "You'll enjoy your new assignment, this I am sure of", Kixi contained gesturing with her hands, "However you'll be briefed once we are on our way and you settled in".

Vinskk lightened up a bit inside. At least Coruscant was a familiar haunt. All the cantinas, vices, and credits you could ever want and more. Many nice Trandoshan ladies as well. Quite a number of jobs there too. At least it wasn't somewhere boring like Dantooine or Telos. The Trandoshan, in a slightly better mood, said, "Let us go then, Jeedai.

"Excellent", Kixi exclaimed. "You have the coordinates to my starship's whereabouts. Meet me there in half an hour". And with that Kixi turned around and left the bar and rushed off to her personal star fighter, the Calder mit Arkhan in which she would fly back to her awaiting starship.

The Trandoshan sighed, angry, but resigned at the same time. Exiting the cantina, Vinskk boarded the Broken Talon, passing by the many cages that housed his various cargo before climbing up to the cockpit. He sat down at the pilot's seat and started the already warm engines. Vinskk then took off to the coordinates provided, his head a mix of emotions. Angry? Definitely. But at the same time, the Trandoshan was intrigued, and even a bit impressed by the Jeedai. She was an interesting Human, no doubt. His mind then wandered to the job coming up, whatever it was, and the life debt he now had to consider in his everyday actions as his barge soared out into space...
