Halycon... Horn... It was a name that burned in the prideful heart of every Correllian... None who were born on the now ruptured world didn't know their names and deeds. So Julius entered another bid, sipping the martini and flashing his bidding partner a winning grin, raising the glass in salute to them. Hopefully he could obtain this, as it would be fitting in the lightsaber of one who intended to revive the old Corellian Jedi ways... And such things had enough of a legacy to his people, it would undoubtedly draw attention.

Though she wasn't a Sith, much less involved in their religious cult or even remotely sympathetic to their cause, Braith was a fan of having knowledge - especially knowledge which was known to be related to the sort of things she already knew and was interested, or skilled, in. So the auction which involved the holocrons of XoXaan and Marka Ragnos, two of the most famous Sith in their entire history - the former being rumored to have instructed Darth Krayt prior to his rise, and the latter having been the mentor and master of Naga Sadow as well as the Sith Lord famous for his leadership during the golden age of the old Sith Empire - immediately caught the witch's attention. She was, to the majority of the galaxy, a master of the force leaning closer to the darker sides of the spectrum - though she didn't recognize the force as being capable of just being two sides of the same coin, rather a much broader spectrum that only became evil when used for evil or with bad intentions - and was a well-versed alchemist, comparable to many of the more well-known beings in the galaxy. While Braith remained more obscure, not wanting the vast attention that the more-known alchemists garnered, she did still harbor masterwork equipment that were unique in their own right.

Many unique pieces in the auction attracted her attention, not the least of which were the two holocrons she'd seen upon opening the list, but also the Yoke of Seeming, the dual datacrons involving the codex she knew of, and of course the Soulsaber.

On Lot C, the holocron of XoXaan, a bid was made involving a large quantity of credits - 800,000 - and her own personal, masterwork, alchemized sword, the Great Divide, and the formula to create Simmersilk - a form of fabric of her own invention which reflected blaster bolts in the same way glistaweb did, only through alchemy rather than Yuuzhan Vong creatures.

On Lot Q, the holocron of Marka Ragnos, a bid was made involving a proportionately large quantity of credits - 600,000 - as well as a contractual agreement for her creation of a new, original, blend of metal, made through metallurgy and alchemy, to be produced by the request of the auctioneer (via her company), a handful of Offering Crystals, and her own personal spear, the Maw of Midnight.

In amidst the crowd sat the elderly gentleman in crisp black tuxedo, his salt and pepper hair combed with military precision of a career officer. His sharp eyes wandered the crowd as he thoughtfully tapped his thumb on his data pad.

He took a small tumbler of Amber colored alcohol from a passing server and sipped it gingerly as the bidding began to increase in exorbitant fashion. With a single finger he tapped out his first bid. "50000 credits for Lot R." Then pushed send.

Another sip and more tapping of his thumb before he crossed one leg over the other. He had little to lose and all to gain in this. He began again to peck at the data pad and placed one more bid. "50000. Credits for Lot U."

With that he sipped again from his glass and watched passively as the auction continued.

Lucien was here for one reason and one reason only, Lot T. The soul saber had belonged to his former master and friend Mikhail Shorn, a man whom Lucien believed he had failed. Mikhail was dead Lucien knew and his children scattered across the galaxy one with him and the other who knows where. The soul saber promised closure for him and he was eager to have the weapon even with the dark tails that surrounded it.

He put his starting bid down electronically, he feared the bidding would grow stupid fast however, he recalled reading that someone had bankrupted a planet in one auction. He couldn't compete with that.

"Ask the Auctioneer if the seller of Lot T might consider meeting privately with me to come to an arrangement on the saber" He instructed his assistant. Maybe he could convince the owner to part with the saber for a sensible price.

Rhodes tapped a pen against his table at a rather quick tempo, waiting for someone to outbid him. Sure enough, a notification rolled across his screen telling him he had again been outbid on the Yoke. Thanks to Ostanes, he now had only two items to bid on instead of three. It seemed like [member="Darth Pikiran"] was rather keen on getting the item; 8,000,000 credits was a lot of money. The crime lord didn't have millions upon millions to spend, so he would have to soon resort to other methods if he were to win the auction.

Lot O- 9,000,000 credits, 1500 unmarked 24 karat gold bars

Damien noticed the bid came from an ally, one he could command better than most - but he did not. Instead he just upped his bid. While 1500 was a large number, it was for a metal that was galactically able to be found. There were few planets without the mineral.

So he only needed a slight boost to keep up..

Or maybe he should just blow the bid out of the water..? Damien did have the money to do so. Not so much as friends of his, but he was rich.

"Why do you do this to yourself?" murmured the Shasan Adept at her elbow. The question deserved better than the brush-off at the tip of her tongue, so Selka kept silent. Force-severed she was and might always be, and she could get used to that, even though in secret she'd been a Sith Master. She had rather a lot to live for.

"Because," she said quietly, "some of these are going for a pittance. They deserve better, and there's profit to be made from them."

Popo heard the up bid and frowned. There wasn't a huge amount he could do to beat such a bid. It was a strong and, admittedly, decisive one, but there had to be a way to beat it. The Hutt wracked his memory at the various things his company made and manufactured and the various things he himself owned. For a while, nothing struck him. Nothing stood out as comparable to the standing bid. Nothing...

And then it hit him. Something he'd made and designed years ago. Something that had sat in warehouses for a long, long time. That might just beat out the bid. Maybe. Possibly.

It was a worth a try, at least.

For now, though, he'd play it safe. He'd bet something that had interest from a few areas in the past, something that could be easily copied and condensed if need be.

"For Lot T, two Skochas, two Hotshuhs, 10% stock in the Wheel, and a copy of the HWK-I Facial Recognition Program!"

Shrugging, Ostaned cued up the screen again... Certain items did deserve more respect than they were getting, and money was something he had in spades. Besides, it wasn't as if he hadn't just made several million in the last few minutes just off residual revenues from AEI, and these items would help with pushing the company forward to even further heights than when it was under [member="Rave Merrill"]

"Lot Z - Kallig's Scorching Lightsaber," the whiphid lifted a large hand to gesture to the new display case presently being added to the staging area by the auction officials.

"And Lot AA - A pair of..." the whiphid paused, brows raising and eyes narrowing, "hmm...a pair of boxer briefs of the Lady Vrag, Hand of the One Sith Empire."

He stepped away from the podium to have a word with the lot coordinator. You've got to be joking. ...it's verified? Very well.

Back to the podium, "there you have it. Both lots have been verified authentic. You may start your bidding."
