The Broken Path

[member="Harley Fenstermacher"]

"Good to know, I'd like to ask the Republic to provide support to the Resistance. How do you think that would go over?" It was now out in the open and she was relieved to have said it before going any further. She liked knowing that someone was ready to go against, well consider the Sith evil rather than provide them jobs and a place to hide.

The High Council of Alderaan had already met and discussed ways to combat the sith. Peaceful..they were going to do it peacefully...she smiled again. She knew Marina would not approve fully but she would approve of a way to keep Alderaan safe. One more visit from the Sith and it was likely to break the people of Alderaan.

It was then in the presence of her highness and their intended host for this trip Andulf, for the most part, kept silently still in the background. Choosing to instead follow the lead of her highness Faith lead in the initial meet and subsequent greetings. Which he was in a way gladly willing so for if nothing. He was not so much in the mood at that time engaged in any conversation given the fact. Thought his injury he sustains earlier and had been for the most part kept under wraps from most if not all present.

At any rate after a brief diplomatic small talk between their sovereign and their host that talks then turn to him. With her highness
Faith starting by introducing him as such with his official standing in the meet. To which their host turn face him as he then spoke.

"Oh, quite a pleasure to meet you all Ja’rrod Categaern Andulf Nicholas Teraan, the more the merrier, though I believe that such a group a bigger table for lunch will be needed".

To which with a respectful notion to acknowledge their host and replied back.

"All things considered aside it is much my pleasure meeting your acquaintance ...."

At which time having said his response he then let her highness and their host speak ....opting not to neither interject nor put forth any point of conversation between him and their host for now. If only he'd hope to push that for later when he felt a bit better soon as the medicine he took while in transit here in private would eventually kick in to relieve his pain. Something which he presumed might not have been loss on her highness. Who for the most part knew him at some level in the past given the fact they been a ward of her highness home in the past given their family history. To which he couldn't help doubt that she maybe suspect something was up with him but then again it could be nothing. As he sort base it the way she glances at him briefly for the time being but seems not said anything about it. To which he was both thankful as he was relieved.....in that as best intention go. As ambassador, he had no less plan for certain things. That he hopes could come in handy or very least aid in secure some sliver of security for their homeworld as well the cause he then overhears her passingly converse with their host.

He had given [member="Andulf Nicholas Teraan"] and affirming nod upon his greeting, but had to turn back to [member="Faith Organa"] at the woman's proposal. The Rebel alliance, he had heard much about the new power, seemed that they had given the Sith quite the pounding as of late. "So, you are asking if I can push the senate to supply the republic with support, well I believe such an agreement could be made in the senate easily". "Such may take a while since the Alliance would need to contact us, along with possible espionage mission to make sure the Sith do not catch wind easily, though I have to ask why approach the senate about this when you could have just asked me personally"?

The statement may have gone over both representative head, but Harley wasted no time explaining his position. "After all I am certain Harley & Co Logistics Incorporated would have no problem supplying the rebel group with ships, craft, weapons and even medical supplies. What's more most of my companies items are open market good meaning that if the Rebel Alliance wound up with them the RR could not be at falt". She may not be keen on it but if the Rebel Alliance wanted weapons here and now HCLI would be more then happy for the business along with some good karma under the belt.

She laughed again, "Because I thought at first I would just talk to each Senator and arrange for each planet to provide support. Then as we were walking and the blood began flowing again I thought, well why not see what Senator Fenstermacher says about it all. The Resistance is a small group gaining some support but to keep up their offensive against the sith they need supplies, and people. Since the Republic doesn't like Sith...it seems like a good start."

She actually felt a bit of relief but she realized that one Senator saying yes was one thing actually getting the support that was something else.

"And we have a specific way to communicate to help keep Resistance Supporters from drawing attention." Her Aunt's Greenhouse provided a good cover and it was wild to a degree how they got things done.

The small laugh from the Queen and her care free nature was quite a relaxing situation for himself, no real tension in the air, just two important figure heads working things out."Well, I can say one thing, you mind works in interesting ways, though out of all the senators only me and Adder Dawnracerhttp://starwarsrp.net/user/17473-adder-dawnracer/, most of the other senators do not know much about war and are more preoccupied with their own planets". "Though your logi is pretty sound, the Sith will sooner or later be coming for us, better to indirectly strike at them now rather then later... that may be a good point to bring up in the senate for such a discussion", be something new to talk about at the very least.

"Oh, you have communications? that is a plus, another extra point for using in the senate, if people know certain pasts of it are secure then the more support it will have". "In the mean time if the Rebel Alliance has anything in need I may be able to arrange some equipment for them to use in there conflict with the Sith". He was not sure what the Rebel Alliance has access to, but he was certain himself and the RR in time could give the necessary supplies to the fringe galaxy faction.

Marina DeVoe

Not a flight attendant... just a risk.
Location: A little late walking into the session
Post: 3

"Yes, DeVoe...Marina..." She peeped over the receptionist's holo-pad, pointing to her name among the Alderaaii delegates. "..there...see?!...right under Bekka." She was so helpful in assisting the woman.

Her smile dropped however a few shades under when she inquired about why her name was highlighted in grey and not brightly enhances as the others, like the count, Bekka and her queen.
As it turned out; she hadn't turned out...
Not on time that is, and was highlighted gray as being absent.

"Gasp...no way!" ... Marina couldn't believe it. had she not checked the date and time..twice? And she had punched her hyperdrives and...and...and somehow showed up late AGAIN!

She were informed the representatives were already in session and that she should consider being as quiet as possible when she slipped in.

"Sigh...yes. Yes, of course." Marina replied, most definitely not wanting to draw attention to her tardiness again.
A quick glance inside the great chambers, revealed her queen presenting herself on the floor. Marina nodded to the receptionist and silently mouthed a thank you before tippy-toeing inside.
She gave an apologetic smile to Bekka who's eyes met hers. But of course, as much as she and Bekka became friends, marina still got the head shake of disappointment from her friend. Well, she couldn't blame Bekka, as Marina had agreed to share the responsibilities with their queen and somehow or other, as the gods may have it; she rarely made it on time. But it wasn't that she didn't take her responsibilities serious. It were more circumstances of trying to multitask, doing too many things at any given time that seemed to chop up time itself. Hense; tardiness.

Bekka moved the document folder she had put in marina's place so as not to look like they were missing a person. Marina slipped quietly next to Bekka, as Queen [member="Faith Organa"] took the floor to speak.
This immediately got Marina's full attention, for the matter were as to what the Republic stance was on the sith. Naturally with the recent attack on their home world of Alderaan a few months back by the Sith Empire, Marina's view on the sith were more reinforced on her disliking them in total. Of course she knew not all siths were like the masochistic butcher sith that had lead the attack on her home world. But in general, Marina wasn't at all too keen on any powerful force user. So what they connected to the force...they should all contain it in their pants...or under skirts, was her opinion.

It weren't that she wanted sith banned or evicted from systems, no. The galaxy comprised of billions, if not a trillion intelligent life forms. And only a few hundred if not a thousand such force users..both jedi and sith or whatever combo-jumbo variants fractionalized them, were known to exist. Both, if not all the powerful force users combined only made a minute fraction of the entire scope of living beings. But yet, these powerful force users were the ones that for the most part had caused countless wars, sufferings and devastation.
So Marina's opinion of force users both jedi/sith or in between, had no right to govern or rule the trillions of beings in the galaxy.
And especially the sith of all the force users. They were the worst of all troublemakers.

And she were about to unconsciously open up her trap while her queen still had the floor, if it wasn't for Bekka who slipped her a kick to her ankle.
'Ouch.." A bearable audio peep came out of Marina.
Marina immediately zipped up, giving Bekka a side glance and a silent 'Ouch..that hurt' look. But it worked, and she remained silent as her queen spoke.

She nodded and understood, "Yes most everyone thinks that since the Sith are so far away that they do not have to think about it. It is business as usual but in truth it is a slow gradual moving machine that twists the minds and words of the most innocent turning them into happy slaves. We need an effort to stop them to let them know their words are wasted on those who know the truth and are willing to sacrifice what need to."

Her world had already suffered too much at their hands and the Council agreed it was time for a new path.

They had been walking along and talking, "Do you wish to discuss this with the members of the Senate or can I address them and make this plea?" She looked back and caught the sight of blonde hair and knew Marina had caught up.

They were beginning to give her a nickname which might be cute in other circumstances but on the galactic stage it was something that would follow her and stick.

30 million kilometers distance blackness opened up for but a spit second as the Raven's nest dropped out of hyperspace.
He had downloaded the same coordinates as that which he had gotten from the Mariner IV's nav computer unbeknownst to his sister. But he had modified it so that his corvette class stealth vessel would emerge within the system, but well out of range and sight.

"Hold position here....I'm taking a Raven over to the planet." He gave orders to his helmsman.

'My Lord, shall I transmit an update of our current status to the Duke?'

"No. Cease any transmissions going out. When there is something for me to report, then I'll inform my father personally"

'Very good my Lord'

The R-1 RAVEN stealth fighter dropped out of the JDS-1, and headed toward the planet Ciomia like a shadow within darkness' void. It was unseen...undetected, like its mother ship the Raven's nest.
It's own emissions couldn't be detected by any means as it burned a modified fuel of tibanna isotope which itself turned dark as the blackness of space itself.

Jerrid kept radio silence as he narrowed the distance between the Raven's Nest and Ciomia in just a few short minutes. The entry into and down to the planet went as smoothly as any entry, only that he remained cloaked. He had his sister's beacon...a homing device she herself were not aware of, which had been implanted microscopically when she was born. Incidentally, Jerrid too had the same microscopic implant...only that he were aware of it. It's range however was quite narrow, barely extending 1/4 of a given hex. This had given reason as to why he had to acquire the coordinates as he did from his sister. He had not been privi of the information as it had been deemed Republic Security. This system had to remain secret and undisclosed, for fear of The Sith Empire acquiring the coordinates to the new Republic world which the Republic Senate had convened.

Jerrid had no love for The Sith Empire. He were a Knight within the Order of Shor. A Darksider for sure...only that the siths whom were outside the circle of Shor were no more than self absorbing rabid vermin. A pestilence to the Galaxy as some Orders of Jedi and other offshoots of the ancient order had mutated through the Millenias. He was here for his sister. She had of late gotten into the political arena..the turmoil of the galaxy. Her intentions were honorable and not in question.
What was in question, were the political alliances that were playing both sides of the political fence. Both his sister and current queen of House Organa were too vulnerable among the hidden vermin that had slithered themselves within the Republic.

Harley peaked an eye brow at the blonde woman who seemed to just arrive, probably one of those new additions that [member="Faith Organa"] had talked about. Were they some sort of secretary or ambassador? He did not know, but regardless the Queen was allowed to bring who ever she wanted to the meeting, within reason of course. Giving a small internal shake of the head the Senator turned back to the queen as she continued her speech about the Sith, earning a few nods from the Echani senator.

"Yes that I can understand, they do reach far, attacking the Jedi, core worlds Alderan and much more, most of their ranks benig made up from the One Sith probably adding to that". Even with their whole 'bring order to the galaxy that the Sith Ascendancy as it used to be call had Harley knew that the Sith Assassins and other that joined with them along with the new debunk eternal empire wanted nothing more then to bring to ruin all those that would oppose them. The poeple that they save being kept in line with threats, propaganda or manufactured problems that the Sith introduce and then solve, like the zombie problem on Miral.

"If you wish to talk with the senators be my guest, though I do have to point out that the Republic is not really in any condition to start an all out war against the Sith, not unless their are more willing to join us in such a battle". The Silver Jedi where a good ally, but with the Mandos in the pockets of the Sith and the CIS along with the CSA neutral it would be a steep battle to fight, even with the GE destroyed and the FO occupied with other events.

[member="Marina DeVoe"] - [member="Jerrid Syn"]

She had to think about what the Senator was thinking she remembered when another was the Echani Ambassador gosh at times she felt so old. Where was Alexander Sannes now? Had she stopped communicating with so many after becoming Queen? Did the responsibilities of office take her away from what was truly important?

She smiled it sometimes hid the fact that she had drifted to another topic, "Senator this is your field you tell me what is the best thing to do." She wanted to ensure the message got out and however the Senator felt was the best approach she would follow.

"Know this Senator we aren't looking to start an all out war. A little resistance, providing ships and supplies to those willing to take the front line." She wanted them to have the options that were available and to know that there were ways to participate without taking up a blaster.

" Whew..." A small silent note of relief sounded off behind her queen.

Marina being a pacifist, despite having witnessed the sith and their acolytes tear her world nearly apart, couldn't phantom having Alderaan and its people become aggressors. Not even in the name of peace and not even against the vile sith. To marina, all life was precious, including that of sith. Well, at least beings who potentially possessed some sort of soul, spirit, or whatever the force gave them conscious. All these forms of spirits whatever anyone called them had potential to change...to finally be good.

"Huh?..what?..." Marina got nudged again by Bekka who was walking alongside her and too following their queen. naturally, Bekka was much more well behaved, having been in Queen [member="Faith Organa"]'s court for much longer than Marina. It wasn't that Marina was not well behaved, she most certainly was...just that on occasion she tended to speak her mind or at times get too emotional when talk of war or changing Alderaan's peaceful beliefs, which to Marina was like embedded age old religion. Yes, she was an Alderaani traditionalist.
Bekka didn't reply, other than place a silent index to her lips for Marina to follow.

Bekka communicated to Marina to keep quiet and not speak until their queen asked them to speak. And that meant for Marina not to sigh, snicker or make any audible remark. Of course Marina gave her the ol' one eye lift of a brow and puckering lips. Bekka just shook her head and refused to play games, behind their queen. Of course, Marina's games were innocent and mostly always aimed at Bekka who for the most part took her duties way too seriously. Then again, it should be something by which marina should be following by example. But their queen was anything but an edgy or crabby old monarch... who pretty much treated them like daughters.

Well the part of them doing their part of helping with supplies and stuff in the front lines was what perked her up more. It was directly in marina's scope to do just that. And she had been doing just that on her own when not keeping court or late appointments like today with her queen. if there was one thing marina did, and that was helping less fortunate systems...whether they were caused from natural catastrophes or during the onslaught/aftermath of battles. She was by all means a humanitarian, besides a pacifist.

With her queen's words ringing out to [member="Harley Fenstermacher"] , Marina nodded in total agreement. This she herself were committed to. It wasn't just wishful thinking or mere talk by her queen.

Best thing to do? several ideas came to mind, though [member="Faith Organa"] did help narrow down what should be said to get people on their side, being democratic meant that even if the senator did not support it, as long as a majority of the public supported the moves it would be passed. Though each planet would have their own agenda's there was one over arching benefit for starting minor conflict and military porduction, somthing that hopfully reap a nice yield for the republic.

"Here is what I would do... now the Republic is quite far away from the core world, fare flung away, not really important of worth peoples times, what we need, as a government, what is desired by most people is galaxy wide recognition between allied factions". The FWC, Silver Jedi, even the CIS and many others are all people that we seek to get a closer bond to in some extent, though for the most part we are not seen as important". "If your proposed action was to somehow spread good knowledge among the other governments in a way to bring more legitimacy and popularity towards the Republic I am certain many would be in support".

It was an idea that both political figures would like as such would legitimatize their rule, the people would like it as such would make them seem part of a proper government and as a whole may persuade more people to join the ranks of the still emerging galactic power. "You can add your own spin to it your highness if you wish, but that is the sort of argument I would make, along with more jobs and the whole doing what is right mumbo jumbo".

Bekka was right...she shouldn't figit so much and just listen. After all, that was why them two (she and Bekka) were there alongside their queen. Marina was in fact an intern..a future Alderaani representative and there was much to learn and experience in the court of her queen.

The man whom they were in company with, a Jedi of sort from what marina had come to catch up on was from the Silver Jedi Order, was speaking what so many from other allied factions were considering. If all non sith or First order aligned factions were to amass as one coalition...the sith and their minions would be overwhelmed. But again, this not only meant numbers, but certainly more casualties. Oh how one couldn't exist without the other.
But maybe...just maybe such a coalition of factions that would greatly outnumber the said sith and First order could in a way act as a deterrent. Who or what faction in their right mind would take on an overwhelming force? Even the vile sith and Imperials weren't so blind as to further chance weakening their strength in doing so. Sure they never hesitated in sacrificing many of their own, but only if their objectives were met.

What [member="Harley Fenstermacher"] was speaking about would certainly put the alliance numbers and resources way above what the sith or FO were capable in taking on as a whole. marina looked over to Bekka and her queen. Queen [member="Faith Organa"] had indeed been speaking of the very same concept and idea about unification with her own High Council...even with Marina's father, [member="Duke Kyle DeVoe"] .
Just that the very idea of being called out by the opposing sith and FO meant thousands, if not millions of lives that would be lost...and on all sides. Yes, Marina still couldn't come to separate which lives mattered more. All lives mattered, being allied, sith or Imperials. If only everyone could see that. But not everyone understood that and especially the sith and FO. Their goals and visions were on supremacy and with no compromises. It were do it their way, or be destroyed.

Marina got nudged again by Bekka.
"Huh?.." Marina gave her a look.
Apparently, Bekka thought Marina was daydreaming and not paying attention.

She nudged Bekka back and told her she was now being silly. "It's what I've been hearing and it makes good sense...just that I'm concerned of the cost...in lives if it doesn't work as a deterent.." She whispered to Bekka.

[member="Harley Fenstermacher"] | [member="Marina DeVoe"]

"The FWC is not the force it once was it is pretty much in a shambles and struggling to find a spot in the galaxy again. But the Royal House of Alderaan with its few members would have a alliance with the Republic. And there is no reason why Alderaan cannot approach the SJO but I do not know...." oh she did, "I do know someone in the CIS maybe they could voice this as opportunity." She thought of Karlie Lynn Destat the young Viceroy who came to help Alderaan and there was also Derek Dib yes there was a possibility.

What Senator Fenstermacher wanted was someone to vouch for the Republic. What the Republic needed was to reach out and make their presence known. Faith wanted to make sure she understood what the Republic was before she put herself out in front to say to those she knew that the Republic was safe. She knew there were concerns that it would become like the old Republic. She was afraid of that too.

Faith heard a voice from behind her, she turned and looked at Marina, "Speak up Marina what is your concern?" If anything Faith had hoped that Marina would learn enough from being around her about speaking her mind at the proper time. If there was a concern about the discussion then Marina should speak.

He gave a small nod to the queen, "Yes I know that the FWC is not as it once was and lacks quite a lot of it's former power, but I am not so much as looking for you to recognize the Republic, but convince them that helping fight the Sith will in turn make others recognize us". "More over I am sure there would be many among the senate that would have sympathy for Alderan and the brutal ass kicking that the Sith gave it". Pity points kind of, but a strong argument that did get many people on ones side, emotions where powerful weapon.

"I myself know of some methods to get the Republics name out their and help the rebels but due to my business and own views many may look to it as a bias proposal, but coming from a person like you from another planet who has a reputation will carry more weight to the argument". After all getting the republic involved in the fighting was a benefit for both him and her. Before he was able to continue the conversion the queen made note to the girl standing to the side, Marina her name was apparently, being asked to speak up about some concern after she muttered something. "Oh is this the other associate you were referring to upon your arrival"?
