The Dark Side.

So, my character has an interest in the Dark Side. Does this faction acknowledge it's use, or is that not permitted? Also, I can't decide what sub-class I should choose..

Hello Guldan,

No. We are lightsiders, we do not use the dark side of the force within SJ.

However, that does not mean your character could not be 'edgy', roguish etc. But Dark Jedi .. nope.

Not even if it is used for good? I meant in a similar way to Kyle Katarn. I would use the Dark Side, but I would use it for good.

I have noticed you wish to join the Shadows. Even though some of us there are 'darkish', but that is more in character rather than force alignment. The Silver Jedi would not allow darkside powers to be used, it goes against our tenants as Jedi of the light. And most of the Shadows would be after you...

You might be best suited to the Ession Reformation faction. SJ is a light side faction .. and that is it. I struggle a great deal with using the dark side for good, the dark side still remains corrupting regardless of what you use it for. And as a member, I would see it as a threat to others especially the Padawans.

@Guldan The Force is a duality. There is nothing the Dark Side can accomplish that the Light cannot do similar, if not better. If there is an effect you wish to simulate or a power that strikes your fancy, I can offer any number of Light-Sided and beneviolent alternatives. However, if it is simply shadow, hate, blood, or death your character seeks after ? Might I recommend a lifestyle change? Lol.
