The Devil Inside (Nickolas Imura)

I smiled devilishly as she said that I would have to deal with her. Jen was so full of herself. I knew that when she said that performing a mental attack she would side-step, I could do just the thing to get aren back for a little while longer. "Oh so you got better at mind games have you? We shall see." making an attack towards her mind, I push into her. Forcing my own will over hers. I would win in this battle, despite what Jen would do.

Jen's smile darkened. As Nick attempted to penetrate her mind, she did exactly as she said she'd do. She use Aerin's consciousness as a shield, blocking the assault completely. Aerin was plunged into darkness. She couldn't see or hear anything. It was cold, and there was nothing there at all. So this was the Hell Jen had been in. A world where she was completely alone....

Jen laughed. "Contrary to popular belief, I do have power, boy. With that, I never lie." She purred. She put her hands on her hips and looked around. "Now, what do I want to do first? Hmm, so much possibility! Especially now that the whelp's quiet..." She began walking toward the door, a skip in her step.

I smiled and shook my head. Sadly the woman was predictible. I was not actually attacking the woman. A force power called "Meld" was where I could enter the mind of one person of my choice and SHARE my power with them. When I had hit into the mind of Aerin, I smiled brightly as I gave a huge amount of power to Aerin to fight off Jen. Because of this Force Meld power, I could even speak to Jen in her mind. "Too bad you let me get to Jen. Calling out what you would do only gives me time to prepare. Bugger off Chucklefeck."

I let my power increase and flow into Aerin as in the "Depths" was really just me covering her for a moment, only to release her on Jens mind. "Have fun ladies."

Aerin felt a sudden surge of energy well up inside her. Without a second thought, she lashed out at Jen. Jen was quick to counter. The two waged a savage civil war.

Meanwhile, in the real world, Aerin's body simply stood there, motionless. Her face was blank, and her eyes continuously flickered from green to red.

The battle quickly became more intense. Jen had fought Aerin into a bitter stalemate. It was as if two walls were mercilessly pushing against each other, waiting for one to give in. The surge of power Nick had given Aerin was dwindling fast. Jen began closing in once more. "You've fought valiantly, Aerin. But when his power is gone, what will you do then?" Jen asked as her consciousness began to mold around Aerin's. Nick's power was a mere seconds from disappearing. Aerin continued pushing Jen, though she was growing too weak to keep fighting. Finally, when it appeared Jen was in control once more, something changed. Aerin's anger flared for a moment. "No way in HELL!" Aerin screamed. A surge of Force energy blew Jen backward, sending her into the Hell that Nick had shown her once before.

Aerin's body suddenly passed out, and collapsed to the ground. Her eyes were closed, but Aerin had won. However, Nick only helped partially. The power that defeated Jen in the end was her own.

Watching as Aerin was battling within her self, I allowed my mind to stay inside just enough to see what was going on, but stood back to avoid any hits from the two feral women. It was then that when Aerin burst forth with energy, I was pushed out entirely. I was even hurt getting a ping in my own mind as Aerin started to fall over. Instantly, my left hand lashed out and with the force grabbed her body to prevent head damage should she hit her head. stopping her, I then moved over as my right hand massaged my temples. WIth the force, a few credits for a tip came out and landed on the table as I reached out for the little girls hand. "Meridith, we have to go home now okay?" The little girl as she was done eating, Stood up from the chair and walked over to grab my right hand. I placed her hand on the chair to keep her there as a mental teather while I picked up Aerin with my left over my shoulder like a fireman's carry.

Grabbing the little girls hand with my right, or more so human hand, I led her out as a waitress asked what happened, With a small answer, "She passed out. She hasn't been feeling well, trust me she is fine." Giving her a smile as I walked out.

Aerin stayed out for a good six hours before finally coming to. She slowly opened her eyes. It was dark, and she couldn't really see anything. By now, her clothes and hair were only slightly damp. She was on something soft, and there was a thin cover over her. Wait, was she in a bed? But how did she get here? Where was here? She sat up a little bit, trying to look around.

During those six hours I had dropped the little girl off. I had kept Aerin outside on the porch bench. The parents had asked and I said that she was tired. In total, I was probably there only five minutes to drop off the girl and accept the money. After that, I brought her to my place here in town. It was a small apartment with just a bed in the other room which I put Aerin in. Laying her down, only taking off her shoes to not dirty the sheets, I was in the other room with the holovision watching old shows about random crap I didn't really care about. But I was sipping on a beer while I poked a hole in the can with the talons on my left hand.

While I had covered her up, I sat there on the couch away from her so she could have her room. I didn't want to crowd her when she woke up and question on who was in control now. but I hoped that the rest that she had was adequate for her to rest up and prepare for the other battles ahead. I contemplated on asking her to maybe stay with me for a while so if something else happened like this I could take care of her or she would not have the fear of someone taking her and putting her in a bad situation..... and I liked her company. We both had something in common than most others.

Aerin slipped out of bed. She realized she was barefoot, but it was too dark to find her shoes. As she fumbled around for them, she accidentally tripped over a small chest at the end of the bed. She hit the ground with a thud. "Ow! Son of a-" She cursed a bit, some in Huttese, some in basic. She'd landed on her left elbow, and now it throbbed like no one's business. Well, that was just peachy. She got back on her feet and decided that maybe it would be better to find a light switch first.

The holovision was low, so when I heard banging in the back room, I smiled as she had gotten up. It was then that I heard another, and well it sounded bad. Reaching behind me, I used the force, and seeing as how I knew the area round me, I used telekinesis to turn on the lights in the other room for her. Even when they were half way across the room from the bed. She could see that her shoes were placed on the dresser next to the door should she want to grab them. But next to them was a cup of water that had half melted piece of ice in it. WIth the battle in her head, I was sure she might have a headache. and now that she stubbed her toes, next to it was a small OTC pain killer for her head and muscles.

As the lights came on, Aerin sighed and smiled a bit. "Thank you!" She called into the other room, her voice playfully sarcastic. she walked over to the dresser and grabbed her shoes, slipping them on. She then downed the painkiller and the ice water, hoping to nip the throbbing elbow thing in the butt as soon as possible. She opened the door to the bedroom and walked over to the couch. She leaned down on the back of it, folding her arms and resting her chin on top of them. "You seriously watch this crap?" She said, looking at the holovision.

Hearing a Thank you from the other room, I smiled and shook my head as I took the last sip of my beer. It was then that while the door opened, I took the beer can, crushed it in my left hand and placed it inside the couch cushions to look like I was not drinking, And since I have been sipping on it for over an hour, my breath did not smell like I had been.

Aerin asked if I really watched this. Shaking my head, "Usually I don't watch anything as I would probably be working or doing something other than babysitting and then taking care of a passed out 'girlfriend.' As well you should know, others did really think you passed out because of how tired you were." bending my neck almost backwards to look at her I smiled brightly as I was joking with her. Seeing as how we first me, I had kissed her to keep our cover of a couple. And seeing as how both of us worked well together, it worked again a few hours ago.

"Go ahead and sit down." Standing up I went over to the kitchen and asked out loud, "You want anything to eat or drink?" All the while, I was grabbing a glass of a green liquid called "Javajuice" where it tasted like many different kinds of fruits.

[member="Aerin Summers"],

Aerin shrugged. "I was kind of tired, actually. Tired of losing," She said, a slight hint of anger in her tone. She looked toward the kitchen with a smirk. "And 'babysitting'? What, did I cry and keep you up all night?" She joked. She sat down on the couch and began flipping through channels. When he asked if she wanted anything, she said, "Sure, I could eat something."
[member="Nickolas Imura"]

Well that was vague. "Sure I'll eat something." Told me nothing of what she liked to eat. Eh, who cares. I'll just grab her something. looking around, I found packaged brownies. They were store bought and actually tasted pretty good. I picked one up, as well as a napkin, and walked back into the room watching her flip through channels. "The crying was not the bad part, it was changing the diapers that was the worst." Sitting down on my little indent on the couch before getting up, I handed her the brownie as well as the napkin, Since the chocolate fudge on the inside was more liquid, I didn't want to have to pay someone to clean up my couch because I was too busy to do so, and didn't really know how to take chocolate out of couch leather.

"This is for you, and if you could pick something other than surfing, that would be great." mentioning the fact that she was "surfing" the different channels that she could go on, I simply smiled as I spoke.

Aerin rolled her eyes. "Oh please, I'm a perfect baby. I bring you nothing but joy and you know it," She teased. She found a what looked like an extremely explosion-filled action flick and accepted the brownie thankfully. She took a bite, savoring the taste. This was nice. Just sitting here on the couch with Nick, eating a brownie and watching HV. "So, how long have you had this place, anyway?" She asked.
[member="Nickolas Imura"]

I smiled with her comment of being the best baby there is. Baby? No, babe? Eh... I was working on that one. It was then that she asked about how long I had been here. I sighed to when I came here. Plopping myself down on the couch, I answered her.

"About two weeks ago I got the place off of an old man who was moving to live with someone else. I fixed it up and cleaned around a little the first day, and been here since simply because of wanting to be away from my boss."

I shrugged my shoulders right after. I then turned my head to her and decided to offer now, "You know, if you need a place to stay, my place it always open for you." there I said it. Even when my heart was pumping so hard I thought that she might have heard it!

[member="Aerin Summers"],

Aerin lokked down at her legs, smiling. Her cheeks even turned a bit pink. Then, she looked over at him. "As much as I'd love to live here with you Nick, I have... reasons why I can't stay in one place for too long." Her voice sounded a bit softer, and sad. She looked down at the floor and shifted her legs a bit, brushing her loose hair behind one ear.
[member="Nickolas Imura"]

Part of me was sad. The other part was wanting her here still. And wanting to still try. And before I even thought about it I spoke. "Not like that Aerin. I mean if you are in town and need a place and don't feel like paying, you can stay here." I looked away from her and at the HV as I spoke. Trying to hide the fact that, yes, I do like her. "I was debating about a place to stay when I didn't want to be working. And here might be as good as any place."

So much of me wanted to just simply come out right and ask her to stay with me. Maybe even work with me. I knew that she wanted to be somewhat of a Jedi still. Even when... she.. took her over. I knew a person who would know somewhat of being taken over. and She had become a Jedi through hard work and determination. As well, I.... I wanted to be there for her. "I thought that since we had met here, might as well keep the place. Or if... for some reason, wanted to meet up somewhere, we would both know a location that we could meet up."

I finally looked back to her as I could see her own body language. Suggesting that she as well had some feelings for me..... maybe. And as she didn't want to stay with me for "reasons" I didn't want to get into those. it could be something bad, or good. I just didn't want to hash up past feelings or problems. That would not be good.

Aerin looked up to meet Nickolas's eyes. She looked sad for a minute, and then, that sadness turned into a kind of rebellious spark. So what if Jen came back? Aerin was strong enough to handle her. Especially after what just happened. And besides, Nick could keep Jen in check if worse came to worse. "Yes," she said.
[member="Nickolas Imura"]

One word almost sent me sky high cheering. But I controlled myself as it had taken a second for her to say it. Something was up, but I was not going to push. If she wanted to tell me, then she would. I would let her choose her time. I nodded my head as she had said yes. I bet Jen would not be happy to see me more often I guess. Looking to Aerin, I smiled to try and relieve the sad look on her face. "Hey, what's that look for? I mean, Its not like anything is worse than having someone else in your head." Trying to make a joke like we had done against each other when we first met.

Stopping myself, I laid my hand on hers, Grabbing her attention for a reason of my own, "Look, I'm sorry, forget I said that." I shook my head and lifted my hand to turn back towards the HV and just stare at it. My mind was confused. I wanted to just reach over to Aerin and hug her. Then the other part of me wanted to leave her alone. I was confused. So confused.

[member="Aerin Summers"],

Aerin laughed a little bit at the joke. "I don't know. It's kind of hard to beat having an arm that makes children run and old people cry." She teased back. When he touched her hand, a kind of electricity shot up through her arm. It wasn't a painful kind of thing. It was a good feeling. "It's okay to joke with me, Nick. I know how to laugh, believe it or not." She said reassuringly. For some reason, she wished he hadn't moved his hand. she wanted him to hold it. Maybe more... These thoughts confused her. What the Hell was she thinking?
