Captain Fury
Location: Defiant Mantis, Ord Cantrell space
Objective: Defeat Vong Fleet
Allies: [member="Aedan Miles"] [member="Stardust Solus Skirae"] [member="Vhei Wasp Naudir"] [member="Strider Garon"] [member="Mig Gred"] [member="Flash Australis"]
Enemies: [member="Elafuh Thaal"]
Livia grabbed the arms of her command chair as the defiant mantis went through the middle of the Vong destroyers. While shields and primary hull continued to take the plasmic buffets of the Vong ships, the debris sucked into the molecular furnaces was rematerialized as ammunition.
Flagrant overuse of fire had the destroyers in explosive flames. The Vong destroyer crumbled apart, pieces flicking off in space, knocking into other coral-created ships.
Livia grinned as her crew celebrated, a few precious seconds before they shifted targets. The Never Again’s main guns and batteries made crumbles of the Vong carrier, giving the remaining coralskippers nowhere else to go.
“Make for the seedship, Mr. Tucker!” As the defiant Mantis finished its run, Livia checked the gravitic converters and smirked.
“Shift our pitch, all engines fire. Twist ya around on the seed ship and clear enough distance for the Never Again! Alor Gred? Might I thank you for decimating those frigates? Jolly good, Sir!” Maddox flicked channels, checking in with Flash and Mig. “Their numbers are dwindling, but that seedship is still making for the surface! Care to help destroy it, vode? I for one will celebrate its passing!”
Jovial and grim, Maddox continued to push the defiant mantis, knowing the ship would continue to fire.
