"I am Master Ike, Master Jade is like twice my height... and size."

"Oh."

Janos was too ashamed to admit all humans looked alike. In fact, Master Ike was the first reasonably sized person he'd encountered on Eadu. Everyone else towered over the diminutive sullustan. Whether through Lossa's healing efforts or the med bay's comfortable surroundings he appeared to be recovering quickly.

"On the plus side. You made it. I'd give your entry a six out of ten. But I think theatrics comes with experience."

"Ah! You are teasing me."

His head bobbed eagerly as if he'd just solved an interesting puzzle. Janos could sense her amusement but when Lossa opened her mind to him he caught flashes of uncertainty. There was something deeper beneath her amiable mask so the sullustan broke their connection but not before an intense feeling of homesickness for an alien world she did not know washed over her.

"Forgive Janos. Masters say I having empath gifts."

His charhound companion hopped up on its forepaws and barked. Having a familiar yet comparatively simple mind nearby helped calm the noise of so many stray feelings.

"Flint here remind Janos to be keeping focus. Thanks Flint!"

SHe gave a bow of her head to him and the girl was healing better at least... she was starting to understand it as the master spoke. "You are doing well jedi Darcuhl. THink of this as a lesson as art of the small can have more effects and this is just one way to use it." She looked at the boy though and then the hound raising an eyebrow. "Alright... lets hope ROmi doesn't give into her hunger... there is a reaosn why the Jakku enclave didn't have pets or.... animal pests." A jest on Romi yes but she smiled looking at the padawan and holding a hand over him. "We'll keep you here for a while longer and then slowly you are going to be able to move around.. if you can manage that we can walk back to the main hall after you get some food and water understood?" She said it and stood there making it certain there was no space for argument... small but she had more then enough means to keep them there and that was before she started messing with a few things.

The projection of humor was met with a wry smile as Janos confirmed she'd been joking with him. Not entirely sure how to proceed along that line of thinking, she instead focused on the other matter.

"Don't worry about it. It doesn't help I project emotions, so stuff comes with it." A nod as she continued to comfortably channel the force as she spoke, listening to the woman beside them as her pink features seemed to pale at the mention of Romi and animals.

"You know. I wondered why-" Shutting her mouth before the thought had any further chance of gracing the galaxy. Or placing a muddy boot in her mouth for the effort.

Eyes falling back to the Sullustan she was tending to with a grin.

"I'd listen to Master Ike on the matter. Unless you want Romi pushing you out of a starship as training for ignoring her." Another tease laced with her own experience, and a small lie behind it.

Briana nodded to Romi, a flicker of gratitude flashing behind her eyes as she moved away from the Jedi Master and towards Lily, moving them into a secluded corner of the chamber. The room hummed with energy as the other trainees dispersed, noticing many of them quietly admiring the pendants that dangled from their necks as they did so.

Settling into their corner, she mindlessly turned her pendant over between her thumb and forefinger, watching the colorful lights cascading through the crystal's facets like a secret waiting to be unlocked. With every rotation, Briana found her mind drifting back to those early days when she was still attempting to master the art of meditation.

As a restless Padawan, she'd dismissed the practice as fruitless—an idle exercise that offered nothing but wasted hours. It wasn't until she witnessed firsthand how Valery Noble Valery Noble 's skill in these very same calming techniques had helped her save lives under impossible circumstances, that Briana realized just how essential this craft truly was.

Breathing became not only a means to clear the mind, but also a guiding force.

Now, as a Jedi Knight entrusted with her own Padawan, Briana was determined to help this same wisdom she'd reluctantly been forced to accept years before, be passed along to Lily. "Follow my lead, Lil." she instructed softly; then, with a deep breath, she allowed herself to fall into the familiar pattern: inhaling slowly as if drawing upon the foundations of the Force itself.

As each breath steadied her pulse and silenced her thoughts, Briana became acutely aware of the others within the chamber: individual heartbeats keeping time against an ancient rhythm, their excitement, their fears—

the collective swell of life.

Lily looked to her Master and followed her as she was guided to a quieter area of the room. Grateful for the distance from others, she felt slightly less afraid of an outburst in the Force now impacting others beside her Master. Someone she didn't wish to hurt but she couldn't exactly demand that Briana abandon her, at least she had tried after a couple of her early outbursts in the Force but her Master refused. Instead, Lily was unable to deny the respect and admiration for her Master to stick with what she suspected was the current worse Padawan in terms of the Force.

Looking at the pendant, she knew the crystal was meant to bond with her, that it would grow in strength as she did with the Force, but she also didn't want that. Something else that could just make her deadlier, it terrified her a little. Instead she was looking around, curious if everyone was going to spend the time bonding with the crystal or if she could get away with slipping away and hiding the crystal necklace in a box. It was a beautiful gift, it was just she was too anxious of something going wrong for her to be comfortable wearing it.

With her mind focused on ways to get a half decent excuse to escape this portion of the assignment, Lily was snapped back to reality when her Master instructed to follow her lead. Lily sighed, it was too late, she was not getting out of this. Perhaps it was a good thing, running away, living in fear of her Force abilities. It wasn't what she had been brought up to do, it had only been a single incident that caused this fear. She breathed out deeply and watched her Master with a careful eye. Her keen observation skills helping her out in understanding what to do.

Closing her eyes, Lily calmed her thoughts, picturing herself training. It was tough, she had to just rely on memories of her training and exercising, these were memories that always soothed her mind into a lull, one that then allowed the Force to sneak through without the heavy resistances she usually put up. Her mind relaxing, she felt the Force pass through her, the connecting bonds that she shared with Master were able to come through, the ability to resonate with the crystal was also there. However, she started feeling the emotions, the connections that others were making. The Force flowing through everything and her mind flipped into being overwhelmed almost immediately. She could feel the lack of control, the build up before an explosion happening in herself.

Her eyes flashed open and she shut her mind off. Panting hard, she was thankful to nip the outburst in the bud before it happened. Her body shaking, her breathing ragged, there was so much. It had been too much. "I... I can't... too much.... there's too much..." Lily whispered, terrified that she could still explode at any moment.

"Alright, last couple of exercises we'll cover that'll help center you and open yourselves up to the ebb and flow of the Force while you're here -- which in turn will also help facilitate the bonding with your crystal."

She inhaled, her chest expanding before scaling back down. On the next she held her breath a bit and pointed to where the base of the lungs would be on her body, "In here is a dome-shaped muscle located just at the base of your lungs. It's your diaphragm." She released the held breath.

"Everyone breath, take a couple of breaths..." she was addressing everyone, talking them through the simple breathing exercise.

She moved down further, "Your abdominal muscles..." she gestured to her own, "help move the diaphragm and give you more power to empty your lungs."

"When you breathe normally, you don't use your lungs to their full capacity. But when you breath with your diaphragm, you're using your lungs at 100% capacity to increase lung efficiency. You're actually using less effort and energy to breathe this way, which is good for more intense training down the road."

"Why is this important, it helps relax the body, improve muscle function, and reduces the heart rate...good for getting through physical strain and eliminating stress throughout the body. Fun fact, the use of meditative martial arts, and physical exercises help to further develop an inherently weak connection to the Force into something stronger...yes, something as simple as breathing the correct way, with the right muscles and using them to their max efficiency will be good in tuning the body to the Force and thus your crystal. Let's build on this..."

"Keep breathing, use your diaphragm and abdominal muscles. We're gonna add some progressive muscle relaxation steps, squeeze the muscles in your forehead, and hold. Feel the muscles becoming tighter and tenser. Then, slowly release that tension. Breathe slowly and evenly. Now Tense the muscles in your jaw, holding for a couple of seconds. Then release the tension slowly."

She started to pace around, walking from body to body but settled on Lily Decoria Lily Decoria she could feel that she was overwhelmed emanating off of her, Jade sauntered over and sought the Echani's shoulders, "It can be very overwhelming, trust yourself, on the other side of that wave is your route towards control. Let it flow, and refine those whisping edges in small doses. Trust Briana to guide you there, you'll get it."

Romi gradually increased her grip on Lily's shoulder blades to provide modest tension, and then palmed the side of each of her shoulders and pushed inward so they'd go upward towards her ears.

"Ok everyone, increase tension in your neck and shoulders by raising your shoulders up toward your ears and hold there for a bit. Breathe evenly and slowly release the tension. Now rest in that for a minute."

She moved from Lily to Briana circling around the pair, touching Bri on her back but in analyzing and working with the two she felt an odd aura of energy sweep through -- almost a sense of nauseousness.

Last she felt this it was -- she lurched back, stumbling backward and barely catching herself as she noticed she faded in and out of consciousness. She gripped for her head and a hunched over position. The tethers of the Force, swelled between them both and started to tear images into Romi's brain; her eyes had gone a complete white.

Ueguhh!

The shadow will rise

Four to doom, or four to deliver
In the depths of a mystical Force vision, the veils of reality shatter, giving way to a haunting tapestry of darkness and despair. Swirling tendrils of malevolence dance across the ethereal canvas, foretelling of a rising darkness that threatens to engulf the galaxy in its merciless grip. Amidst the chaos, the stench of destruction hangs heavy in the air, whispering of impending doom.
In this dire landscape, four guardians or four perils, their destinies entwined in the fabric of the Force. Each possesses unique talents and strengths, yet they are bound together by a shared purpose—to confront the encroaching darkness or fall to it.
As the vision unfolds, the guardian stand at the precipice of a ravaged cityscape, once teeming with life but now reduced to crumbling ruins. Charred remnants of buildings stretch towards the darkened sky, smoldering embers casting an eerie glow upon the desolation below. The weight of sorrow hangs heavily upon this one hero...it seemed as if she lost half of herself.
Her...her presence radiating with both power and arrogance. This young woman, imbued with immense abilities, bears the burden of hubris—the sin of excessive pride. Her confidence, bordering on arrogance, fuels her desire to dominate the encroaching darkness, but it also blinds her to the dangers that lurk within her own heart.
The vision shifts, and the brown haired beauty finds herself engulfed in a ferocious battle against an army of shadowy figures, one that has shared one day a many with her, but remains obscured.
As the battle rages on, she's consumed by hubris and becomes reckless, her confidence morphing into a dangerous overreach. She charges forward, heedless of the warnings from his companions. In her arrogance, she underestimates the power of the darkness, believing herself invincible. But the darkness, cunning and patient, seizes this opportunity, ensnaring the guardian within its suffocating grasp. Everyone would feel the weight of their own vulnerability and recognize the perils of unchecked pride.

Heuh

As the Force vision fades into the recesses of the Romi's mind, she snatches away from Briana as she regains her footing. In this moment she realizes, Briana is actually one of the chosen...

"I-I think that'll conclude our training sesh for today..."

"the real lesson here is attention to the moment gives knowledge."
Attention to the moment gives knowledge... Mago had been so excited to have an outing and training that maybe he hadn't bee paying attention in the way he should have. He listened attentively to Master Jade, choosing to listen to other's comments instead of answering with his own.

"Thanks Bri -- these pendants are made with rare crystals from the Planet Spintir. They have the unique ability to form a link with their wearer through the Force,
Pendants were handed out, and Planet Spintir? He had read about it briefly before. A large amount of mammals, almost everything was mammalian. Had some odd species, but he hadn't read about these crystals before. Maybe he ought to search out the volumes on rare crystal formations and their relation to the Force in the future. He took his gently, holding it in his fingers like it was a baby bird. Wow, a real rare crystal that linked to him. It was the first gift he had been given in a long, long time.

Back to listening, rolling and gently feeling every corner with his fingers.
"And that's really what environmental training exercises are, it's to get you thinking of your environment tactically, recalling everything instantly, and recognizing the advantage or disadvantage of your surroundings for you.
Once again, his excitement might have been too much... Everyone else seemed miserable from the hike while he had felt exhilarated. He took a deep breath and tried to pay attention to his body instead of what was going on. He was cold, and very very wet. He was shivering, probably had been for a long while, and his thighs burned. He was used to going up and down the stairs in the Jedi Library, but hiking up seemed to be more than his usual exercise. And now that he was thinking about his body, he understood why others had been so miserable. Being cold and wet and feeling your clothes stick to your skin didn't feel great.
"Here, you'd have to come up with a plan to end things quickly and decisively because you know your body is going to take longer to adapt. Taking advantage of the rain for cover, leading your opponent into heavy fog to obscure their vision, knowing the air is thinner at higher altitudes...how does this affect your opponent, and how does it affect you?
And that's why he should feel what his body was telling him. Others would be feeling the same, and he could use that to his advantage. He catalogued all this information, but it was a different way of thinking. Knowledge excited him and he craved more, but he liked learning for knowledge's sake. This was a method to obtain information not to learn, but to use it for battle. It was tough to convince himself that it was necessary, but he wouldn't be living the rest of his life in the comfy Jedi Temple. Jedi fought to protect peace. He'd need to fight one day against those who sought to destroy peace, and he'd need to use his knowledge to the best of his ability to fight. For battle.

Another deep breath.
Everyone spread out...find a spot."

He took off his soaking-wet robe, found a spot equidistant from everyone but near his new friend Vaylaar D'artagnan Vaylaar D'artagnan , and sat on the ground with crossed legs.
"In here is a dome-shaped muscle located just at the base of your lungs. It's your diaphragm."
Mago had read about that too in a medical anatomy book once. Helped him understand what he saw with his Force Sight a bit better. He could see not just the outline appearance of something, but also the layers through it. He could see the wiring in the walls and the different levels of a building. If he focused hard enough, he could read a book that was closed, page by page. So when he saw things in people, skin under their clothes and muscle and blood veins and their bones, it was unnerving until he had read and understood what he had been seeing. Diaphragm and the abdominal muscle, use those, got it.

He got into the rhythm of breathing, using his sight to actually see his and Master Jade's muscles to make sure he was doing it right. Forehead, jaw, neck, shoulders...

And then Master Jade was... The aura of Force around her and Briana Sal-Soren Briana Sal-Soren changed, intermingled, just for a moment. The aura's got stronger, and they were having some sort of experience. He couldn't see what it was, but something was happening between them both. Something powerful, they were seeing something...

And then it was over. And Jade was concluding the training. He made sure he was still holding his crystal before standing. He was still wet, and he hoped there were towels in their rooms.
