The Flood

"I never had a doubt," she replied, now smiling herself. "It's just a matter of timing."

She moved back to the other side of Allyson for her own cup, brushing against her much like before, though this time around she gave the Corellian a light caress against the outer thigh while walking past.

"You have some interesting notions about us Jedi," she observed as she squeezed out a few lines of honey into her own cup. The viscous liquid quickly dispersed evenly through the tea with a subtle application of telekinesis. "There's nothing on the books that forbids personal pursuits. We love and care just like anyone else, though our duties always come first."

That was her burden as a Jedi, putting others before herself for the greater good. It was rewarding work, but sometimes she wished she could relax more like she was right now. It would be a lie to say she wasn't using the laid-back Kiara assignment as cover for some R&R.

"So with that in mind, would a wet mop like me be enough for a scoundrel like you?" She brought her cup up to her lips with both hands for a sip while waiting for an answer.

Slowly, the Corellian’s bottom lip slipped under her bite as she felt the Jedi brush against her. This feeling was something, but it didn’t provide the same fire as Kaili Talith. Still, she played. Allyson was having fun with [member="Arisa Yune"] and after all of this she could see the two of them being friends. This game was getting far more interesting as it unfolded. Allyson sipped her tea again and shrugged. Everyone had an idea about the Jedi, each with their own thoughts on how they functioned.

“The Jedi are pretty secretive, so it’s hard to pin point what you guys can and can’t do. Some freak out when you look at them with naughty eyes and others hump like bunnies.” Allyson shrugged again and took a sip while she finished listening to Arisa. The woman was getting better at this game, at first Allyson wondered if it was going to be one sided. A part of her was nervous that she would over step some sacred walls that the Jedi had built up. Though it seemed that Arisa was one of the Jedi that seemed okay with this sort of advancement.

“Hmm, you’re not a wet mop if that’s what you’re fishing for.” Allyson grinned and put the cup down as she watched the Jedi sip her tea. She was a delicate woman for the most part. To realize that she was an instrument of war meant to bring about peace seemed almost unfathomable. It was an amazing thing the people that became Jedi. She wondered if this odd sense of peace was because Arisa is a Jedi.

Shrugging, Allyson answered the question Arisa asked. “Since you’re not a wet mop – yes you’d be enough Jedi Arisa Yune.” Chuckling, she took another sip and sighed happily. “So, what’s been keeping you up at night? Nightmares? Too much work? Or…do you need something or someone to keep you warm at night?” Allyson smirked and then remembered seeing the cots that were brought in with the SJO moved in.

Even with the obvious chemistry between the pair, Arisa was still pleasantly surprised to hear that she was indeed desirable by Allyson, leaving her heart racing. The Empath made no effort to conceal her glee and affection for Allyson in that moment, radiating with an alluring aura.

"Please, just call me Arisa," she said as setting her cup down on the counter. Right now, she wasn't speaking as a Jedi, but just as her vulnerable self behind that sometimes dehumanizing title. "Overstressed, prone to nightmares, longing for companionship; I'm guilty of all of the above."

"Just like you, it seems. Do you also crave for someone hold you at night and keep you warm?" As she asked the question, she leaned forward, shamelessly undressing the Corellian with hungry eyes.

The temptation to make a grab for Allyson finally won out and she gave in; reaching around to rest a hand on the small of her back, then gently reel her in closer.

[member="Allyson Locke"]

Allyson listened intently, while she was having fun with the game she suddenly saw Arisa for what she was. Human. The woman in front of her was human and now vulnerable. Allyson knew this feeling far too well. With her struggles of the amnesia and her memories flickering between dreams and reality – she was vulnerable. Her eyes fell from the other woman and stared at her half full cup of tea. She did long for someone at night, but that someone was someone from her memories – that person no matter if they were dead or alive would always have her heart.

Eyes closed as she remembered the exchange she had with Kaili. The confession that she was that woman in her dreams, in her memories and Allyson knew deep down that it was true. Yet, here she was searching for something, it was possible that Arisa was someone she connected with – someone that she found that understood her. Her mind stopped as the warm touch of a hand moved to the small of her back, eyes opened and she was pulled close to the Jedi. “Arisa…”

They were touching now, Arisa stepping out of the shell that Allyson had assumed for her. The Corellian’s hands rested on the woman’s shoulders and bicep as she stared into the pair of deep brown eyes that never looked away from her. She had to slow the game down and so she spoke with a coy smile. “I do. I have nightmares of my accident, nightmares of people that I’m unsure if they’re memories or if they’re just dreams. I’m stressed beyond belief, mostly because I’m walking through a world that I feel like I don’t belong to.” Pausing, Allyson moved and wrapped her arms around Arisa, “I owe someone who has been by my side from the beginning a chance.” Allyson remembered Kaili’s touch, she remembered the pair of vibrate orange hues that held so much sadness. “She’s always been there, Kaili – she keeps me grounded in this world, this life I’m so lost in.”

Allyson held onto Arisa, her face buried into the crane of the Jedi’s neck. This was not how the game was supposed to end and a part of Allyson wondered if she was going to lose a friend before the friendship truly began. [member="Arisa Yune"]

Everything was seemed to be going just perfect. Allyson right in her arms, beginning to confide in Arisa about the many issues that plagued her, and then...mentioned another. Kaili again, making it clear that they were more than just friends.

Arisa almost winced then, arms growing a slack around Allyson as she was faced with an uncomfortable revelation. She was left pondering a response while Allyson buried her face into Arisa's shoulder. She felt so conflicted then, between trying to satisfy her passions and being considerate.

Only about a couple minutes passed, but in Arisa's head, it felt like an eternity as she began to collect her thoughts for a reply.

"Allyson..." she started, a small quaver in her voice. "I can respect what you have with Kaili right now, but I would be lying if I said I wasn't envious. You are quite the character, and in the short time we've been together tonight, you already have me grinning like an idiot. I need more of that in my life."

As she got past the hardest part of admitting her feelings, the words came easier and she was able to speak without any impedance. "You asked about those times I took explosions to the face. Well, I'll tell you about the last time. A few months ago on Ossus, against my better judgment, I went to go check out someone claiming to be a Jedi Master from the NJO. It was really a Sith Lord in disguise, and when I approached his craft, he detonated the IEDs he had hidden within its hold. I ended up with a few cracked ribs when all was said and done but had I reacted even a few milliseconds too late to the explosions, I'd probably be dead."

She started stroking Allyson's back as she recalled that one horrifying experience of many, for her own comfort as much as the Corellian's.

"As a Jedi, you're taught not to fear death, to think of it as one great transition from one state of being to the next. But when the adrenaline finally died down and I was left alone to my thoughts, I did become afraid about how close I had come to dying. I'm reminded of that fact day in and day out when I feel people dying all around me in a war zone en masse, butchered like cattle."

"As bad as it's been, those experiences haven't discouraged me from being a Jedi, but it has put some things into perspective. What I've been taking for granted, like...you."

She pulled away then, so she could meet Allyson in the eyes. "No more. While I'm here on Kiara, I'd like to get to know you better. If that's alright with you, of course."

Arisa had only planned to stay about a week tops, but she could easily check out for a month from major operations whilst on her current side assignment if wanted. She did, now that she had a reason.

[member="Allyson Locke"]

The backstrokes calmed the Corellian down for the most part. The guilt was still there, but she felt secure enough knowing that at least above all Arisa would remain a friend. Allyson held on to the Jedi for as long as the Jedi willed it and when she pulled away Allyson ran her hands through her chestnut brown hair. “You need to be more careful, if that would have killed you…” A pause and a hand reached out and caressed the tender cheek of the Jedi, “We wouldn’t be getting to know each other.” She allowed her hand to linger, the Jedi was far softer than she could have imagined. It was possible that everything she had thought about the Jedi was wrong.

Allyson was happy that none of the terrible things that Arisa and faced discouraged her from being a Jedi. It seemed currently, being a Jedi was something proving to be more difficult than it should be. More people played the middle ground card instead of doing good, Allyson sighed as she wished she had more connection to the Force than maybe she could be a Jedi as well. For now, though, she was stuck with the only affinity she had in the Force. In truth, she really couldn’t place herself on either side – the power she held was something from the Dark Side yet she didn’t fall that path.

The more her mind raced over the topic, the more frustrated she was becoming with the idea of the Light and the Dark. Either way, she was brought back down to the planet’s surface and her hand fell from Arisa’s face finally. “The galaxy needs good Jedi – there’s not enough…” Allyson’s savior complex sprang into action as she watched the sadness or what she registered in her mind as sadness wash over the Atrisian. Reaching out she pulled Arisa back into a hold, this time instead of just wrapping her arms around the woman’s shoulder, Allyson kept her hand on Arisa’s back while the other held the small of her back protectively. It was what Allyson had become over the short years of her life, she was a protector and Arisa had gained access to that rare circle of those that Allyson vowed to protect with her life.

Holding the Jedi tightly, Allyson rested her head close enough to the girl where she could feel her breathing. The hold kept their bodies close enough to feel the echoing of each other’s heart beats. Allyson never held anyone like this besides Kaili, but Arisa had made her way into Allyson’s heart and she would receive the protection that Allyson could give. “I won’t let any of that happen to you again. I won’t let you die – I’ll protect you and I would love it if you stayed on Kiara so we could get to know each other better.”

Giving a final squeeze Allyson affirmed her previous statement. “I promise Arisa, I won’t let you ever get that close to dying again.” [member="Arisa Yune"]

Thankfully, the awkward moment passed after Allyson expressed interest in getting to know each other. She smiled then but felt silly over the fact she had let the wonderful woman slip through her fingers time and time again being so lackadaisical. She wouldn't make that mistake anymore.

Allyson launched into making pledges to protect Arisa after the Jedi had recounted one of her past scrapes with the Sith, which made her raise an eyebrow in surprise. Usually, she was the one making such pledges as a Jedi.

"Please," she begged softly, taking both of Allyson's into hers. "I appreciate the gesture, but no promises like that...you're doing more than enough just being here with me right now. Besides I think it's fair you get to know who exactly you would be saving first." She meant to be a little humorous with that last line, smiling again. "I'm not exactly a piece of China, not to worry."

"On that note, would you like to spend the night? It's still pretty chilly outside, and we're both pretty settled here at present."

The invitation could be taken many ways, for merely a friendly sleepover or something more. On her end, she was open to anything and had hinted that. Her instincts told her that Allyson wasn't quite so satisfied with her situation as she let on, or she wouldn't be here in the first place.

[member="Allyson Locke"]

Allyson forced a smile, she wasn’t used to being turned down for protection. Kaili had learned to just accept it mostly to let Allyson feel like she was worth something. Hearing Arisa state that really doesn’t need it, hurt Allyson on a different level. The woman she was with was a Jedi, someone who was trained to not fear death, to look at danger and go head first. Jedi, they were something different, even Kaili who wasn’t a Jedi didn’t need protection. There was a spiral of self-doubt as Allyson continued to force a smile as she looked at Arisa.

“I understand, but I will do my best to at least be around so you don’t have to face anything alone.” It was really all she could say; the woman didn’t need her protection and Allyson felt useless with her useless connection to the Force. She finished her tea and then placed the cup into the sink that was nearby. Allyson remained in her head as she tried to shuffle through foggy memories trying to remember a time she was helpful and did save someone, but Arisa’s sweet voice chimed in and Allyson looked towards her once more.

An invitation to stay the evening. Allyson felt her ears turn a slight shade of pink along with her cheeks, which at this color her freckles were more apparent. They ran along the tops of her cheek and speckled along her nose. Usually they remained hidden against the Corellian’s sun-kissed skin. That invitation could mean several things, but in most cases for Allyson’s history – they meant that neither slept with an empty bed. This would cause problems with Kaili who already had enough on her plate.

A slight shake of her head, Allyson refused the invitation. She remembered the cots that were put out for people to sleep on and she didn’t’ know exactly what Arisa slept on, but it wasn’t as good as her massive bed. Knowing this and knowing the palace and its guest bedrooms, Allyson shrugged. “I can’t stay here tonight, I need to go home. As much as I want to run from my memories – I need to find them. Although, the palace is pretty big and I don’t know if you’ve had a tour yet – but you can come stay there for the night or for however long you want.”

As she spoke, Allyson reached out and held Arisa’s hand. “It seems we both need to do some healing of sorts…I think” She wasn’t completely sure about Arisa needing healing, but with Kaili being busy running the planet she was left to her own devices. Would be cool to show someone the palace and Arisa could meet Kaili as well. “We could sleep there tonight and tomorrow we can explore the palace – maybe Kaili can join us, if that’s okay with you?” [member="Arisa Yune"]

She couldn't say that she was all that surprised by the rejection, but it still stung. She didn't try to hide her reaction, letting her smile fade and giving a small nod of acceptance. Slowly, she pulled away, creating some more distance between them as she reverted back to her cool persona, passions suppressed and heart guarded once more.

"Ah no, I'm fine here. I need to be around to help in-process the new residents in the morning anyhow."

She didn't really have much to say about Allyson's comments on healing. Arisa was fine for the most part, she was just tired more than anything. In time, she would recover and get back into the fray like she always did.

"I'll be alright," she replied, giving Allyson a light pat on the shoulder. "So, I'll be around here all day tomorrow if you care to visit; I'm helping to fix up another district within the city. However, I could make some time to visit the palace in the afternoon."

[member="Allyson Locke"]

Arisa's demeanor changed after Allyson had answered. What had she done wrong? Why was going back to the palace such a bad thing? Where did she ruin it all? Panic formed a not in her chest as breathing felt difficult. She had felt the Jedi becoming comfortable with her and now it felt as if they were strangers.

Body language was something she learned to read. Arisa's was quite obvious and Allyson watched as distance was placed between them. As the woman moved away and began to build her walls back up, Allyson reached out and grabbed her by the hand. The look on the Corellian's face said it all, she knew exactly what Arisa was doing because she was notorious for doing it herself.

Allyson held onto Arisa's hand and stared at her. She was scared to have Arisa not in be around her, not be there to get to know. It was as if this feeling slowly sapped whatever emotions made up of who she was, especially the ones they have felt this evening. “Please don't do that. Don't put your walls back up…”

A pleading look crossed the Corellian's face. Bravery came next as she closed the distance and stood close to the Jedi. “Don't shut me out. I'll stay tonight. I want to get to know you better. To try and figure you out. “

She didn't let go of her hand and kept the close distance the best she could. “I offered the palace because of comfort. I told you want to spend time with you. So I'm going to do so.”

[member="Arisa Yune"]

Arisa raised an eyebrow in surprise at Allyson's reversal, who was now begging her not to close herself off to the Corellian. For a long while, she just stood there in silence as she considered Allyson's plea with renewed clarity.

"...alright." She reeled Allyson in close by the hand the Corellian now held tight, then leaned forward for a kiss on the lips. It wasn't long or impressive, Arisa quickly pulling away to look Allyson in the face, but she was certain her point had been made with the gesture.

"Over the span of a couple hours, you've made me happier than I've felt in a long time. Feeling as I do now, maybe how I've always felt about us, I don't think I would be content being your friend, hence the 'raising of the walls'. As it concerns you, keeping my passions in check helps me from making poor decisions like just now. I'm not sure I can give you what you want without the attachments that come with it. I'm sorry."

She broke eye contact for a few moments, looking over at the narrow dark hall that led to her quarters. "So knowing my feelings, do you think it's wise to stay and possibly open that door?"

The real question she wanted to ask was if Allyson was satisfied with her current situation, but she didn't want to offend. She already felt like she had overstepped some bounds as she was now of aware of Allyson being taken. Sometimes there were things better left unsaid.

[member="Allyson Locke"]

Allyson felt a swell of relief as Arisa agreed to not let her guard return. Relaxed she began planning the things they could do that evening – everything besides sleep, maybe a bunch of questions they could answer or go tip some sort of large farm animal in the area. She had never had a sleep over – one that didn’t partake in another activates so she was in a way excited for this endeavor. Yet, before she could tell the Jedi her plans, the woman seemed to have plans of her own. It was quick and brief, but it made the point clear that Allyson had messed up, she had pushed this too far and now she could potentially lose someone who she had just found again.

She held her breath as warmth spread across her cheeks and over her nose. Her eyes locked onto the Jedi not blinking but staring surprised at the gesture. Never in thousands of years did she expect Arisa to do something like this. For some reason, it felt out of character for her. Allyson listened, she had nothing to say now. Everything that the woman told her, it felt like a dagger into her lack of reality. She had royally screwed up a friendship and she possibly ruined her relationship with Kaili. Allyson finally exhaled and quickly inhaled again. There was a pause and Allyson’s eyes followed the trail left behind by Arisa’s.

The darkness of the hallway foreshadowed the unknown and Allyson knew it was a path she couldn’t and should not take. “This isn’t fair.” There was distance between them and Allyson didn’t dare cross the boundary that was now set by Arisa. “This isn’t fair, why can’t we be alright as friends? I like that I was making you happy, it made me happy. To see you relax and be human it was comforting. You’re continuously putting up this barrier between you and the rest of the world as a Jedi. You have to live up to expectations. I want to keep making you happy…”

Allyson let her eyes stare at her feet. She couldn’t look at Arisa, she wanted to stay, she wanted to keep making the woman happy, but there was someone else and she missed her. The Corellian wanted to make Kaili happy as well and she was the one that was always by her side since the beginning. Eyes closing, she sighed and felt as if she was shrinking, while the world grew larger and closed in on her. “I don’t want to leave, because I am enjoying my time with you – because I feel like we never gave a friendship a chance. But I can’t stay with you, because I know in the end its going to hurt you and it will hurt Kaili…”

Why wasn’t this easy? Why did it have to be this way? Allyson looked back up towards Arisa, “I want to make a friendship work. I know it can. There can’t be a this or that – there must be a way to work this out. I had so much fun, you helped me deal with the stresses that kept me up tonight…you make amazing tea…there has to be a way that we can still remain friends – I don’t want you to have to suppress yourself or put yourself though any pain.” Sighing softly, her hands made fists at her side. “Just tell me how we can still be around each other… It’s not fair. I won’t accept that you can’t be my friend, that you can’t be in my life because you have feelings for me.” [member="Arisa Yune"]

Arisa sighed as Allyson persisted in begging for her company. If nothing else, the Corellian was stubborn. There was something endearing about her preserverence, though, so Arisa decided to humor Allyson for a bit instead of just sending her straight home for the night.

"I think, as friends, we would get along famously," she admitted. "The thing is, I'm not sure that I would be content with that. I really don't know, I just want to be upfront with my feelings so you know what to expect."

She took a step forward, closing the distance between them again. "...against my better judgment, I'm willing to try, just don't harp on me later if things don't turn out how you like."

"I'd be pleased if you spent the night, then we could go straight into breakfast in the morning and a tour of the rest of the camp." She glanced over the hall once more. "There's a few spare rooms available if you prefer to have your own separate quarters."

[member="Allyson Locke"]

Allyson nodded understanding where Arisa was coming from for the most part. She had these emotions for another person in her life, but she had learned to accept them and move on. The desire and the emotions faded and they had become great friends. Asmus Janes was someone beyond important to her, but Allyson was curious and wondering if because her and Asmus had something before becoming friends that the emotions were easier to cast aside. Arisa would soon nestle her place into Ally emotionally. There was curiosity and with their own bit of a past – Allyson wondered if Arisa had let down her Jedi walls if she would be with her instead of Kaili.

The though hung on her mind for a bit, but she did her best to push it aside. She was happy with Kaili, she was happy she rediscovered their past together. It still felt new and she was going to have to try and find her footing with where they were in the relationship, but she was willing to try. Arisa moved closer and Allyson caught her breath and soon her mind was refocused off Kaili and back on the Jedi in front of her. Silence followed Arisa’s proposal and Allyson contemplated it. She wanted to stay, she was having fun, yet knowing how Arisa felt, she wondered if that would harm the woman in the long run. There was an overwhelming feeling to make physical contact again and Allyson reached out and brushed a strand of Arisa’s chocolate brown hair from her face. The touch was brief but it calmed the urge.

“I’m unsure about staying. I want to, because I am enjoying my time with you, but I don’t want to hurt you. It’s the last thing I want to do and I feel like being near me now is hurting you or forcing you to protect yourself. I—,”Allyson paused and tried to choose her words wisely, “It hurts knowing that without doing anything I could hurt you.”

[member="Arisa Yune"]

When Allyson reached out to touch her again, Arisa wanted nothing more than to grab that hand and keep it close to her face, but she hesitated as they had come to a critical juncture. She had to act carefully or she felt she might ruin whatever she had with Allyson up to this point.

She swept her hands against her own thighs instead of reaching out for Allyson as she desired. "Allyson, you're not hurting me. We're just trying to figure out our boundaries moving forward. Trust me, it takes a lot to wound me, you're fine."

While Arisa was caught up in an emotional swell at the moment, it was only small potatoes to her daily rigors as a Jedi and a soldier. All she needed was a bit of time to collect herself.

"Don't worry so much about me." Finally, she dared to reach out, gently grasping one of Allyson's hands. "Like I said, I'm not a piece of China. While I would like you to stay, I'm not going to be bothered if you feel too uncomfortable to stay, especially after how...heated things were earlier."

She was trying hard to keep her feelings in check for Allyson's sake, but the craving for the Corellian was still there. Chemistry wasn't something anyone could just snuff out.

[member="Allyson Locke"]

Allyson didn't flinch or pull away when Arisa reached out for her hand. She didn't move to hold the other woman's hand, but she accepted the touch. Allyson pondered the invitation to stay over, but she didn't want to push the thought too far. Her relationship with Kaili was in a very delicate place and if she did anything to jeopardize that she would never be able to forgive herself.

Yet, there was also the delicate relationship that was budding in the kitchen between her and Arisa. Everything around her was in a place that one wrong move ruined it all. Allyson finally moved the hand and ran it through her own hair and sighed softly. A smile formed and she shrugged. “Heated?” Allyson caught herself and stopped. She wanted to explain that it could get so much hotter. That would be something that could spiral out of control. Allyson just smiled and nodded.

“I'm good. We are good. I'm fine to hang out, unless you're tired. “ Allyson wasn't too tired, but Arisa could have worn herself with all of the excitement or whatever. Shrugging Allyson continued. “We could watch a holovid or something. I mean the night is still young? I think?” The poor Corellian was doing her best to focus, she could feel something coming from the Jedi. She felt the urge to pull her close, she was curious to know what that something was, but she controlled herself.

“Holovid sounds good?” [member="Arisa Yune"]

Allyson remarked upon her comment about things getting heated, but then stopped herself. She was just as conflicted as Arisa, that much was certain. Arisa could be responsible and just send her off for the night, but the longer Allyson lingered, the less keen she seemed about that option.

"A holovid? Sure." After all that had transpired between them up to this point, Arisa wasn't going to sleep anytime soon.

"Follow me, feel free to bring your tea. Snacks in the far left cupboard if you want any."

She grabbed her own uneaten package of fig bars from the table, then waited a bit for Allyson to gather up what she wanted before leading the Corellian to her room down the hall.

The lights flicked on automatically as she unlocked the sliding door, revealing a small room with a dorm-like setup. There was only a narrow strip of open floor between the bunkbed built into one side of the room and a desk into the other. A large duffle sat at the foot of the bed, remaining unopened as Arisa had tried to crash as soon as she had made planetfall a few hours earlier.

"It's not much, but please make yourself comfortable," she said, motioning for Allyson to take a spot at either the desk or bed. "Hmm, so what are you in the mood for? Drama, action, comedy?"

She began to remove her gear, starting with her belt that held her holsters for her shatter pistol and lightsaber. Gingerly, she folded up the belt and set it on the far side of the desk. Then her phone and code cylinders from her back pockets.

"Maybe romance?" She leaned against the edge of the bed while kicking off her boots. "Though I don't take you for a mushy type."

Her expression was deadpan, but she was, in fact, taking her turn teasing Allyson for a change as she warmed up to the Corellian's presence. She would show her just how human she could be.

[member="Allyson Locke"]

Allyson moped a little as she had remembered she had finished her tea earlier in a hurry. It was a nervous habit she had when things like this happened. Luckily for her, the tea wasn’t a shot of whiskey which would have opened its own can of worms. Deciding against asking for another cup, she followed Arisa down the hallway. The compound reminded her a lot of the freight ships she had traveled in before, the bunk set up yet the compound offered a desk and obviously something for entertainment.

Seeing the desk and the bed, Allyson decided to sit on the bed. Comfort over ridged chair, right? Her eyes watched Arisa as the woman moved, the wall and shadow of being a Jedi faded as the bits of armor and gear was removed. It was an interesting sight, seeing a Jedi or well what was underneath that heroic façade. A smile spread across the Corellian’s face as Arisa found a place next to her on the bed. Seeing as the woman was getting comfortable so Allyson took it as a notion to do so herself.

Reaching down she unzipped the knee-high leather boots she wore and kicked them off. Besides the robe, she wore there was really nothing else to take off. Standing back onto her now sock covered feet, Allyson fully removed the cloak and laid it over the back of the desk chair. Her white t-shirt and frame now more apparent with the extra clothing removed. Fingers played with her dog tags as she repositioned herself back onto the bed. “These things aren’t as uncomfortable as they look haha.” The bed was in pretty good shape, she had assumed the Jedi were rigid in more ways than one. “Movies, hmm.” She pondered and when Arisa commented on not being the mushy type, the brunette laughed. “I have my moments! Sometimes it’s nice to see two people find each other and risk everything.” She shrugged and then thought about something good to watch.

Romance probably wasn’t a promising idea, but they were secretly her favorite holoflicks. Kaili was a fan of the action – so that was usually the type of films they watched. She continued to muse over the pick of the films and then decided to let Arisa decide. “Well, not really in the mood for horror, so comedy, romance or action are my picks – you get the final call.” A smile continued her face as she tilted her head towards Arisa. “So, in a way we both pick, democracy, right?” Allyson laughed at her joke and then leaned back slightly on the bed, with her hands behind her supporting her. [member="Arisa Yune"]

Unsurprisingly, Allyson wasted no time making herself comfy on Arisa's bed. That made her huff in amusement as she leaned back and stretched her arms.

"The compound is pretty nice for what it is. Has nothing on a real bed, but it's a darn sight nicer than the bunks on my freighter."

She turned on the bed an unzipped her duffle back, fishing around until she found her holopad. There was much clanging during the process, the bag filled with more than just clothes and toiletries; at any time the woman was walking around with small armory worth of gear in case of trouble (which came more often than she liked).

She set the bag on the floor, then settled onto the bed next to the Allyson, bumping up right against her as she made herself cozy atop the coarse navy comforter.

"Romance or action...how about both?" Through her neural implant, the cyborg activated the tablet, holding it up for Allyson to view as she started surfing through the holonet for one of those grey "streaming" sites so popular among the crowds.

"So I've been watching this mini-series called the Hawk of Endymion. The series follows hotshot pilot who ends up facing off against a childhood friend in a sector spanning war. One part romance, one part space opera. Something interesting about it is that they pilot these machines they call 'mecha'. Like walkers but they move just like people doing all sorts of crazy maneuvers."

Arisa knew of several companies that had attempted to create mecha like the ones seen in some sci-fi shows, but the complexity of their construction was beyond the capability of current technology, leaving such contraptions very much in the realm of vaporware.

"Does that sound interesting to you?"

[SIZE=9pt]Allyson listened intently at the description of the show Arisa was wanting to watch. A lot of the shows Allyson remembered watching involved mechs and she hoped that one day mechs would be a part of her world. Today, that was out of sight, but Allyson did keep her hopes up. A smile spread as she nodded showing heavy interest in the show. Tilting her head, Allyson looked from the tablet towards Arisa. “You said it’s a series? If I like it maybe we can have a standing time that we can continue?” [/SIZE]

[SIZE=9pt]Friends did that sort of stuff, they watched shows together and spent time. Allyson wanted to continue spending time with Arisa, of course if the show was interesting maybe they could include Kaili. The Corellian didn’t make that request just yet. There was brush between them and Allyson found herself catching her breath, it was just for a moment, but she did her best to try and hide it. Allyson pulled her shirt collar up and coughed slightly, it seemed that her cough still lingered despite the efforts of Hazel Zanteres. [/SIZE]

[SIZE=9pt]“I used to watch a lot of shows with mechs when I was a kid, my dad absolutely adored them. When I was younger I had hoped I’d be piloting one of them instead of an X-Wing, but X-Wings are cool, but not as cool as a mech.” Allyson shrugged, letting herself brush against Arisa casually as she did so. “Maybe one day!” [/SIZE][member="Arisa Yune"]
