The Gathering Storm (Primeval Dominion of Dubrillion)

Mikkel Markov

Exemplar of the Bleeding Sun
Mikkel pulled out his rifle and ran out of the top room after [member="Catalys Maijora"]. On his way out, Mikkel turned to [member="Tyro'din"]. "Hide the bodies" Mikkel said. "We can hold them off until you do, then get out here and help."

Mikkel made it to the roof in time to see the security forces approaching from the south. About 100 meters away, three groups of seven soldiers were approaching, and opened fire as soon as they saw Mikkel. Ducking, Mikkel holstered his rifle and pulled out his E-41r blaster rifle and had two thermal detonators at the ready. Standing back up, Mikkel fired on the center group and took out three of the soldiers before they were too close for comfort. Tossing the two thermal detonators at the remaining groups, Mikkel jumped back inside and ran to the south entrance, ready for the soldiers to breach.

Catalys made his way to a small room filled with desks and immediately dove for when as the sliding door opposite of him opened. From it several security force members stormed the room and fired on his position with blasters, quickly peering out he fired his IWS at the group before pulling back, only one shot managed to hit him but thanks to his Cortosis-weave armour it had minimal effect.

"They breached the building.", he mentioned over his comm.

Once again he peered out and fire a few more shots towards the group, managing to take out one of them in the process. Three more were now ducking in what became a standoff. It was too tight of a space to use his grenades.

"Surrender now and you'll be spared!", one of the guards finally had the audacity to say something.

Surrender, really? Luckily they had no idea their precious assembly was massacred. "No deal!", he jumped out and rushed for another desk, this move threw them out of position as they eagerly came up to pursue him and quickly Catalys reacted, rolling out and picking the three of them off with carefully placed shots. With those dealt with he continued forward, aiming to the rest off.

Harrip had quickly reached the building, he had noticed however that there was a large group of the previously mentioned security team. While he could handle a melee fight with ease, laser fire was a little more difficult for his skin to absorb. He worked his way around the group, running to a further entrance, he knocked quietly. He tried to make it not sound like he was one of the security team. He heard gunfire and knew that something was happening. Whether or not it was good he did not know. Instead of breaking in and finding out immediately, he raced back around until he had a relatively good view of the situation.

He clicked on his comm and said, "Harrip here, I have eyes on the enemies from the outside. Should I deal with them?"

While he could deal with them, his preference was to not have to, the dangers of a melee battle with ranged enemies were a little stacked against him. His lack of armor would make chances of survival from a well aimed shot less than single digits. The fact that most armor smiths did not have a bipedal Rakghoul like creature in mind when making armor made it incredibly difficult to find any type of armor to wear.

Upon receiving the word from Catalys, Legion upped his game in the God business. He'd need to make sure they followed him as their God and obeyed, and kept out non believers.

"Subjects, We, as your loving God, desire you to plead to Us your loyalty by stopping anyone who is a non believer from breaking up Our bond... We have ordained that a group of said non believers are in their way to stop Us...You must show Us your love and in kind it will be repaid..."

The Echoes fluttered about the crowd relaying the message to each person of the interlopers and the actions they seek.

"We wish for your love...To receive it, it must be proven...We will bring forth rewards for all who aid Us in spreading the Love of the God Talos..." The Echoes spoke on their own accord to portray the image of Legion's divinity.

The crowd erupted I cheers and calls for saving from the worlds dangers. The pleaded with their new God, the bringer of Love and Hope. And Blood, as one interloper scout ran forth and tried to attack Legion. He turned and sent out a Force Push at the man.

Tyro'din followed Mikkel's suggestion by dropped thermal bombs on top of the bodies to burn them to ash before fleeing the room through a different exit than his allies, sealing the door behind him, to spare his sensitive nose from the smell of burning flesh.

Hearing oncoming guards around the door, Tyro'din pulled his HUD screen down over his eye and triggered his respiratory mask before shooting at the lights, bathing the hall in darkness. He switched out his standard ammo from explosive ammo and crouched down, making himself as small as possible.

When the squad came around the corner he fired at the centre of the group, killing most in the explosion and throwing the rest to the ground. Speeding forwards he pulled his vibroknife from its sheath and slit the throats of those still alive. Leaning down, Tyro'din cleaned his knife on the clothes of one of the security guards before turning and continuing on, knife sheathed one again and rifle aimed up, ready for the next scene of combat.

The ISS Fatass warped in from hyperspace, revealing its large nature. In a few brief moments, a large carrier ship emerged and several dozens of Scarab-class Droid Starfighters erupted from its hull. The large Republic cruisers were, in a few moments, overwhelmed by the Starfighters and the Munificent-class Star Frigates fired upon the defending ships. Their long-range heavy turbolaser cannons burst through their hulls, simultaneously erupting them into a flame as the oxygen within the space exploded.

She paused for a moment. Kitsune that is. She turned around and said, "Our work is done. Tell them to clean up the rest bef..."

At that moment, another Dreadnaught-class Heavy Cruiser emerged from the planet's surface. Immediately engaging the Munificent-class Star Frigates, two of the ships immediately were decimated. In a last ditch effort, the four other frigates rammed their ships into the Heavy Cruiser and leading to its demise.

"Well then."

The rifle buckled against xir deformed body ever so gently, not unlike a lover coming down from a rapturous orgasm after being caressed by the skilled fingers of the shifter. Oh, how many skins xe'd stolen in those moments after having felt the essence of xir partner, leaving them pleasantly dozed as xe made away with their likeness. Funtimes.

Still, xe could reminisce after putting a few more slugs in the panicked red dots dancing in the circle of xir reticule. There weren't all that many left, anyway, and xe could do with snack or two after they were done here. Killing people was an exhausting hobby, after all, and Laguz was a big boy agender individual. With a stomach you can change at will, the sniper could eat almost anything, provided enough time and liquid courage. Xe'd once accepted a bet involving a rancor and a few wookiees, but asking about it was a sure-fire way to end up in a hospital. It was still a sore spot for the shifter, and any follow-up questions on the matter were best left only to the truly suicidal.

A shiver ran through the faux balcony at the thought, and the rifle mewled again in xir hands, downing yet another poor bureaucrat. At this rate, the planet would be left in a state of complete anarchy by the time Laguz was done.

The office was a mess. Furniture laid overturned, with signs of damage, almost like someone had been searching for something; old datapads laid strewn across floors, with cracked screens in places whilst others had broken keys or simple wouldn't turn on at all; and a breeze was blowing in from the windows at the side, their glass panels broken and lain across the floor in shards of various shapes and sizes.

Alicia gathered datapads center to the room. It took her five minutes to this. When she was finished, her hand found the disruptor pistol on her hip and she lifted it to the pile, firing three bursts. The red energy connected to the floor, disintegrating the pile into ash. A hole in the floor was left from where the devices had been collected.

Turning the safety back on her weapon, Alicia holstered it and turned back to searching. She found a tool box underneath one of the tables and opened it, removing a screw driver. Moving back around the table, she unscrewed the back of each computer terminal, large and small. She selected the hard drives in each, removing them from the inside and taking them out. Each time Alicia removed a hard drive, she placed them on a desk.

Rising up from the last terminal, a hard drive in her right hand, Alicia lifted her left to check the time. The chrono told her that she had thirty three minutes to leave. Plenty of time to make it back to the Niathal and leave before the proton torpedoes on the Neutralizer II bombers went off. Placing the last hard drive with the others she had recovered, Alicia drew her disruptor pistol for a second time, turned the safety off and fired three more bursts. The desk was vaporized in the blasts. She walked over to see if the hard drives had also been destroyed. Satisfied, she turned towards the exit.

On the balcony over looking the third bomber had had found in the five Subach factories, Alicia reloaded her pistol. Taking the empty clip of ammunition and pocketing it, she loaded a new piece into the chamber, clocked it and then turned the safety back on. Holstering the weapon, she lifted the cowl of her robe over her head and made her way down the balconies stairs to the bottom.

Making her way outside, Alicia navigated herself back to the Niathal. Lifting her eyes to the first of the Sun Guards, she said. "We are leaving Dubrillion now. Set course for Sojourn."
"Of course," he replied. She stepped past him and entered the transport. Minutes later, it was up in the air. Taking out her Lenoi I, settling herself into her seat, Alicia Drey followed the local news coverage of the invaders that were currently on Dubrillion.

Catalys made his way around to the flank, about five enemies were in front of him and still haven't noticed his presence. Taking the chance to surprise, the agent struck first tossing one of his frags in their general direction, the explosion killed three of them, the other two quickly turned around but were stunned from the sudden blast, their reactions dazed. Carefully coordinating, Catalys fired two well-placed shots and took them out when a blaster bolt went over his shoulder.

Ducking and turning around another squadron came in from behind, forcing the agent to retreat. He managed to get his IWS into its assault system after crouching behind a corner, peering out and firing into the crowd and killing one. The four remaining soldiers didn't storm his position but instead hid around the opposite corner where he came from. The two groups exchanged fire, luckily Catalys had the advantage with his advanced armour and training. After about a minute he finally finished them off.

"That's the last of them...I can't believe it myself but it seems the rioting stopped, they're worshiping Legion as a God.", the officer said over intercom.

Tyro'din

Worshipper Of Halrormalenth
When the call came over the comms that the mission had been completed, Tyro'din let himself relax, but only slightly. The mission wouldn't be truly over until he was back at HQ and debriefed. Turning, he jogged towards where his HUD was showing Mikkel and Catalys were converging inside the base, thanking the time taken to slice into the base's systems so as to monitor his allies.

Exiting the base a few minuets after his allies, Tyro'din let a smirk cross his face, one nightmare down. Back to the constant horrors of the Nether that haunted his mind. Can't win them all, he thought in a grim manner while hiding the depression from his face like he always did, ready to go where he was told to to follow the will of the Gods.

To the surprise of the crowd, and Legion, the man exploded. The power from his ability had multiplied unexpectedly. The result was an uproar of praise to the God Talos.

"Praise Him!!!"

Raising his arms, showing his immense wingspan and size, their God had shown his power.

"To all who appose me, death will be your only embrace. To all who follow, We will show you Love...I give unto you the guidance of Our....Priests..." Legion gestured to his Sephi guard.

"From here on, they will be here for your questions and guidance...They are all Priests of the Legion of Talos...They will be your connection to Us..."
