The Genocide of Eriadu

Kyle hadn’t even had to let off a shot – the First Order was pushing back and bringing in it’s full muscle to do the job. AT-FAs were making their move, their jets of justice ready to unleash hell on those who had underestimated them.

He took steady steps forward with the flank of troopers beside him to mop up any trying to flee back or hide. This was an operation and had to be carried out with military precision. Speaking of military precision, an unmistakable noise could be heard through his helmet, and looking up through the smoke the airborne might came screaming over.

The TIE Fighters would make short work of those who tried to fight back or take up positions high above with their green bolts of plasma.

”Keep it tight and eyes open. Let the Incinerators have their fun, boys.”

The flames from would reflect in the ghostly black visor of the Stormtroopers as Eriadu learnt a lesson it would never forget.

Captain Blake was now on the streets, dressed in full armor that displayed his rank by the silver plating. He was travelling with 2 Stormtrooper squads and actively participating in hunting down the insurgents that defied the First Order.

"Captain, I'm spotting armed citizens directly in front of us."

There was a small group of armed Eriaduians in the city square, stepping over the bodies of their neighbors, friends, and loved ones in emotional agony. They held outdated weapons, likely not even to break through the advanced Stormtrooper armor, but their intentions were clear as they looked up to see the white death squads approaching and opened fire.

Bolts fizzed over Blake's head. One struck a trooper directly in the chestplate, but the civilian grade weapons couldn't strike to kill at that range or against military grade equipment. Blake pondered this for a moment, wondering if he could just turn around and walk away.

Ha! Like that was an option.

"Fire."

The effect was brutal and instantaneous. All 10 or so brave rebels fell to the floor, hit by the precise aim of the First Order. Edward couldn't help but be a little touched by their deaths. Those men took a stand to defend their planet against an unstoppable force, even though they knew death would be instant and brutal. It was poignant, almost.

"TR-417, status report on the deceased."

The trooper designated ran off to the pile of bodies and took a look around, checking for survivors.

"Captain, sitrep report: One survivor with a mild leg wound."

"Roger that. I'm en route."

The Captain, followed by his 20 or so other Stormtroopers, ran to the lone trooper, who had dragged the not-so-lucky man out of the bodies of his compatriots. The survivor was a young man, and even wounded, he was still full of zeal, cursing and spitting at the First Order's faceless army. It almost made Eddie chuckle with sadness. He was pitiful to watch, a downed dog still fighting for his bone. The captain looked down at the man, the soulless eyes of his helmet staring down at him.

"Troopers, observe and document what happens to traitors and dissidents. Let's give the galaxy an example to avoid, eh?"

The rebel spat back as Blake aimed his pistol.

"Kark you, you Imperial scum! May the First Order burn down in flames! Remember what happened to the first Empire, that's gonna happen to you too!"

Blake chuckled silently. The kid had spunk.

The Stormtroopers looked on, silently recording with the cameras on their helmets. It would probably be used later as a form of propaganda, to scare other planets into submission and service. The Captain, already having aimed, pulled the trigger of his blaster pistol. The bolt burst the rebel's head open, silencing his protests and spilling the contents of his skull cavity on the street pavement.

That was that. Captain Blake looked silently at the corpse before turning back to his forces.

"Let's move, men."

The forces ran off, going to sweep the points allocated by Starkiller Base. Apparently, Galactic Alliance forces had been spotted there, so Blake coordinated a rendezvous for all of his men to meet up before tackling that...

Seemed all he was doing was fighting lately. That was fine by him. Unlike some in his faction, Coren knew there wasn’t a place for him in the world post-war. He’d be back on the fringes, and that suited him just fine. The group he was working with fanned out, watching each other’s flanks in teams of three, with Coren going it alone, ahead. He’d open traps up, but he could take it, unlike his red shirted NPCs, he was a hero character, with a lightsaber.

The message came in from Sedaire and Coren nodded, a quick response was sent off. “Tiburons are on the way.” And then back to the encrypted channel for the Alliance folk, mainly because he didn’t notice who was landing, he made an open call.

“All Alliance friendly personnel, keep the First Order off the civilians. Secure the EMS facilities, and rendezvous at the Capitol building. Keep frosty everyone.” And with that he and his team were off, a bit of a double time, not an all out run, not with the weapons they were carrying. Coren was light weight, light repeater, lightsaber, he was ready to go.

The trick was when he and his team would run into some of the First Order. Hopefully [member="Roth Tillian"] would the fighters down from the sky.

Ruby Rose

Every Rose Has its Thorns
Ruby Descended down to Eriadu in her personal YT1300, having gotten the order slightly delayed,. She looks over the burning planet, anger in her heart towards the merciless butchery by the First Order. This will not be allowed to stand, we will protect the innocent. Keep those who cannot protect themselves safe. As she gets lower down she sends out a comms signal out to the Galactic Alliance forces, swooping in and performing a strafing run on a squad of storm troopers as they prepare to gun down more helpless civilians, her missiles ripping through their ranks and killing all but two of the storm troopers. They don't seem to like it when anyone shoots back, typical of them, only capable of fighting those who can't do anything back.

Ruby gets up from her pilots seat, allowing her droid X4 to take over for the piloting and keep the ship safe as she descends and drops out of the cargo ramp, down to the ground below, slowing her descent at the last minute with her force levitate. She walks over to the last surviving storm troopers, blocking their poorly aimed shots upon her shield before she bathes them in the black lightning of a truly neutral force storm.

*she activates her comms once again* "Master Coren are you there? Where are we sending the refugees? I have approximately 7 here in the town square. I can hold the position for now but more enemies are on the... damnit!" She ducks behind the fountain drawing her saber and deflecting shots but forced to fall back as three more full squads push on the town's center.

First mission with this new Alliance. Well, first official one. That slaver's mess doesn't count. It was a bit of an accident that he got involved. Or luck, perhaps. Some would say the Force, but Kiyron questioned that. If he couldn't use it, how could it use him? Call it luck then. Leave the Force and destiny to the Jedi. He was the captain of his own fate. So here he was, once more in a dropship descending on a planet to fight stormtroopers. These ones massacring innocents and attempting to burn down the city. That would not be permissible. He'd have to do something about that, with what he had. He had leveraged his prior experience as a regimental commander and Havoc Squad member, followed by executive officer, to assemble a strike team. Something along the lines of Havoc Squad, but with fewer unpredictable elements. Armored with the Vanguard armor and his personal standard gear, he peered out of the dropship through the helmet. MX-1 sniper rifle. Mk II bolter. Sonic pistols. Explosives. Things should go better this time.

He remembered last time, of course, in the heavy RSFU officer's armor whose remnants formed the basis of the ramshackle suit he'd worked with for a while. Very different than this, and they were dropping over Balmorra, sent to infiltrate and destroy an arms factory. It all came back to him again. Explosions and lightsabers cutting through the gloom, then his armor, and then him. Burning sensation everywhere. Kiyron tensed, fingers squeezing the grip of the bolter.

He shoved it all out of his mind. Now was not the time. He focused on the comm chatter running through his helmet. A lot gong on. Question was where to go. He tilted his his in concern. Walkers with flame-throwers? A few of them, anyways. With the jump-jets, they could handle that. Surround them and hit them in the weak spots. He got on the comm.

"[member="Julius Sedaire"], strike team tree will rendezvous with you after taking care of these flamethrower walkers."
The light above went yellow and he went to the edge of the ship, his team lining up behind him. He counted down until it hit green and then he jumped, holding his arms out to direct his fall before hitting the jump-jet in the suit to break his landing on a rooftop. He jogged a few steps, bolter coming to his shoulder as he followed the source of the smoke. His five allies dropped in behind him, fanning out to secure the rooftop. The hunt was on now.

A job was a job and when money paid the soldier would move

In this case she was paid to guard [member="Milo Ren"] and stay by him, she knew not the enemy nor the intent...and she would not question her orders

Appearing quite quickly near Milo she saluted carrying a helmet that would conceal her voice and mask her face...for she knew if her image got out game over for her she'd be hunted to every corner of the galaxy with a large price

Starreaper ready sir"she went by her code name instead of real name...though only two knew that name in the FO

Behind him, Audren heard the Lieutenant curse at his 'idiocy' and order a squad after him. Four presences pounded along the pavement after him in an attempt to catch up. Had he desired to lose them he would simply have kept going, but their support could be useful. So he paused at the corner, ostensibly using the time to check if the way was clear. His senses had already told him it was but the soldiers deserved to catch up without the appearance of having to do so.

"Sir, switch your comm to channel six so we can talk."

Oh, right. Comms. The Padawan didn't have a permanent solution yet, but he'd managed to find a wired earpiece and mic and attach a clip near his throat. If one of his hands wasn't free he couldn't talk over the comm, and his voice would be audible to anyone around him when he did talk, but he could listen at the very least. As requested, he switched to channel six on the comm unit, ensuring it was still set to GA frequencies as he did.

"Sykes online."

"Fireteam Cyclone, Morlev speaking. Pahlee, Organ, and Jagdon accompanying. We're your support."

"Glad to have you. Watch my back, and I'll watch yours. A block ahead and around the corner, stormtroopers are assembling civilians. Command the team how you will, I'm going in fast and hard."

He didn't wait for an answer, simply turned the corner and began sprinting in near-silence. The soldiers were quick on the uptake and ran after him, combat boots hammering against the pavement. As he neared the corner, he felt a rise in tension that had nothing to do with him approaching combat. As such, he put on a burst of Force-aided speed and dropped to his knees as he neared the corner. He skidded on the armor's knee plates, suddenly making noise where there had been little before. He didn't round the corner, he slid past it with carbine raised. The Sephi spotted the stormtrooper aiming a blaster at a man's head and fired twice. The apprentice was no marksman, one shot missed entirely and the other simply grazed the soldier. It was enough to make him twist though, so the blaster bolt he fired didn't blow his target's brains out. The next two bolts were a bit more accurate since he'd slowed somewhat. One took the soldier in the upper torso, the other in an eyeplate. Both burned through the man's armor, killing him instantly.

Obviously, his friends weren't too happy with that.

Audren turned his slide into a shoulder roll forward, changing direction. And it was well he did, no fewer than five blaster bolts lanced through the space he would have been in. His own carbine barked again in reply as he came up on his knees, dropping another stormtrooper. By that time, Cyclone squad had rounded the corner and started adding to the shooting. All told, six stormtroopers went down hard and one of the civilians had sustained a graze on her leg. They sent the civilians back to the landing area and headed on.

“It shall be done.” Belis looked away from the hand-held communicator and turned back towards the marbled halls of the central Government chambers of Eriadu. He had already been present when the Supreme Leader had issued the order to extract judgement upon the planet and Belis had been quick to dive into his own objectives behind the order.

Several police officers had already crossed his path within the structure and their bodies now lay as testament to his path as he moved further inwards towards the core of the building, a core that had once housed the Governors of Eriadu as they had bent a knee to the Supreme Leader, a place where the First Order could create a foundation and begin their machinations for the galaxy. It was also the centre of this rebellion against their order, a rebellion against the Supreme Leader’s own will.

At the innermost chamber a door bared Belis’ way, thick and locked it would have kept any attacking force from entering.
It would not keep the Ren.
His lightsaber, crimson and hot was plunged into the metal and twisted as the metal began to melt away from the extreme heat of the weapon. Thick pillars of molten mess falling to the floor around Belis’ boots.

He would gain entry. He would remove the head of this traitorous government and truly make an example of what happened to those who betrayed the First Order.
The Force was used at last on the molten remains before him allowing a hole large enough for him to enter…

So much was going on. But Coren had to keep on the up-and-up. They were heading to the capitol building first. Secure the beings there, and then worry about the rest of the riffraff. He was ready for that, and the pilot was fielding the holocalls and requests as best as he could, with sticking to the sides of buildings. He could fold space and get there, but using that for a situation like this? Not the best use of his abilities and focus.

It took too much out of him.

The first was information about refugees. Motioning for his unit to keep on, he tucked himself into a small alcove and opened up the line on the comlink. “Hold the location, Ruby. I’m going to mark it for extraction. Fleet should be here soon. Hold together.”

That was when the sniper came through and Coren saw his energy shield light up from the blaster bolt. It was good for one or two shots, and then he’d have to do something about the world around him. “Sedaire and Skyes, if you copy, keep on to the Capitol, Tiburons being delayed.” First they had to take care of these guys, and First Order soldiers moving in to intercept.

Greifen glanced sidelong at [member="Milo Ren"] and @stardust as the orders trickled down from Supreme Commander [member="Aram Kalast"] to reach the officers and soldiers in Starkiller Base, as well as the Knights of Ren in their compound.

A senior officer's voice was heard over Greifen's comlink: "Insurgent activity in the southern quadrant of the city. 13th and 11th regiments are ordered in on search and destroy orders."

"I don't know about you, brother Knight," Greifen said to Milo, "But I have little interest in whetting my blade on weak civilians. We are Knights of Ren. If these foolish Eriadans think they can get away with taking up arms against the First Order, we shall show them the error of their ways. To arms."

The Ren stalked off and exited Starkiller Base to the din of battle all around him. Beyond him, the city was alight with gunfire and dogfighting sorties. The Galactic Alliance wanted Eriadu; they would have to earn it first.

Finding a nearby speeder, Greifen's black cape billowed as he mounted it, confident that his fellow Knight would be joining him. The engine came to life, and the black-clad figure of darkness bolted off to link up with the 13th and 11th regiments.

The Jedi Padawan glanced up just a bit as his eyes skimmed the tip of his hood keeping an eye out for any movement. Aston's x-wing touched down towards the outskirts and he had encountered several First order soldiers already. His lightsaber clipped back to his side as he moved to the end of the alleyway pressing his back against the wall as several squads of soldiers passed by. The Jedi Padawan looked to his left and right for a good path as his insight was telling him to head left, moving towards the center of the town. His comlink went abrupt with traffick as it seemed an ally was pinned down in the town square. The Jedi Padawan aided by the force sped his way to that exact location.

The Jedi Padawan stopped a moment as his hand moved towards his lightsaber gripping it easily as the town square was just ahead, and he could hear the commotion, and even more than that feel the emotions that were running high here. Aston activated his lightsaber sprinting towards the center fountain as his lightsaber immediately moved fluidly deflecting blaster fire, and his left hand shot forward pushing several Order soldiers back, but they were still in delicate situation. [member="Ruby Rose"]

Aston ducked behind the fountain as she did, lightsaber steady in his hand. "You move in from the left and I will from the right, we can flank them and meet in the center?" Aston said as they had precious time.

Something to worry about, she could manage that usually in spades. She oculd even manage moving civilians about.

The ship lurched and Rekha held fast, her fingers tightened keeping her from falling. Armor that she wore GA standard, and it was an entirely new experience for the smuggler/bartender/pilot and now soldier. Good grief what would @Dekken Fray think of all this.

She followed [member="Coren Starchaser"] and the other Tiburons out the door. A fight in the streets, great. Where were they now, silently she was relieved they weren’t in the swamps, or on a glacier, or walking only in space she had done all of those things following Coren.

This, well this was just once more into the fray o fit all. Rekha had changed in the last few years, coming more out of her loner shell and learning to be around others, even if it was only a few others. As a member of the Tiburons she had to trust in them, and she did, well most of them the others she just had not had enough interaction with to develope that warm fuzzy feeling.

Plus, well, she wasn't the easiest of people to get to know.

The fighters continued to form up, and suddenly several were thrown into chaos as half the pilots started to clutter the comm lines with sittings of a corvette coming in with guns blazing. Flaa looked and couldn't see anything. It seemed there was a force user out there medling with the minds of the pilots, and this did not bode well for the the remainder of the battle. Carten flipped on the comm to a private frequency, one his trio was using. About the time he was about to say something to Daska, the grunter started to freak out.

"I don't know what you're seeing but I don't see it. Focus man, and keep it quiet so I can talk to Goldilocks!"

Flaa pulled the fighter around into position again, and flipped the comm back on.

< "We gotta force user out here somewhere. If we don't neutralize him this is going to be a long day. We gotta fish him out, any ideas?" >

What was Carten supposed to know about force users, he wasn't one. Daska wasn't one either, but if they put their minds together they could think of something.

< "Otherwise we keep running for the landing zone and close it up as soon as we can?" >

Two X-wings came up behind the lead. Grunter pressed down and took out one, while Flaa let the green lasers fly taking out the second. He grinned as a witty remark about clearing Goldilocks six came to mind.

< "Got your six, Goldie!" >

Ruby Rose

Every Rose Has its Thorns
Rose was in a tight spot, surrounded on all three sides by squads from the first order. One or two would be okay, but three was too much to hold off alone. They were bearing down on the last bit of cover, their blasters wearing it away piece by piece when [member="Aston Jacobs"] arrived.

<Understood Master [member="Coren Starchaser"], additional support has arrived, we should be able to clear the courtyard and set up an evac point here for civilians, send them this way.> "Jacobs, am I glad to see you. It was getting pretty rough on here and we were running out of cover. You take left and I'll take right on three got it? 1...2...3!"

On three she jumps over the barricade as it withers away under the barrage, force pushing the center squad back to buy time and hoping that Aston had her back from the third. The Jensaari took her position between the civilians and the squad to the right as she ignited her whip and saber. She lashed out with the whip and saber as she charged forward, turning into a spinning whirlwind of death to the first order troopers as they struggled to keep a target on her. As the last one fell, she looked over to the center squad to see them getting up and drawing a bead on her, starting to fire as she ducked behind her shield and saber, deflecting the incoming shots.

This is gonna be a long battle, the First Order sure went all out on this attack...

Combat. Julius heard it from up ahead, and noted it on his beacon, the call switching to show he was actively engaged. He sensed a vaguely familiar Force presence, but something he couldn't place. Shoving aside the distraction, Julius leapt, the Force propelling him in several jumps, the armour weighing and making progress awkward, but eventually he made the roof, and crouched, looking about. There was innocents nearby, he was sure, and as he came to the edge of the roof he saw Audren and storm troopers. But he didn't think Audren saw the troopers from the vantage point he was, just down the street and around a corner. They were marching civilians before them, and he nodded, his assessment rapid and decisive.

The bolt pistol rose from his holster as he leapt to the building closer to them, flaring the Force to soar up and make sure he landed on the roof with room to spare. as he landed he rolled and leaned, coming up just shy of the side of the building where the troopers would be. The arm holding the pistol came up swiftly, and he took aim just as swiftly. Rounds shredded into the squad with absolute devastation, the noise rather distinct. Starting at the back, furthest away from the troopers, he picked off a couple before he dropped the pistol to its holster again and jumped from the building, landing with a pulse of air and a snap-hiss as his lightsaber ignited in the sudden stunned silence that greeted his arrival.

And with that, he moved, armor lessening the movements, to be sure, but still a whirlwind of speed. No stroke was a killing blow, but each movement of his lightsaber sought to bring the enemy down or cripple them and render them unable to further fight. Blaster bolts began to whine and fly, just missing him, as he wove back and forth between the troopers, trying to keep them distracted as the civilians wisely took the chance and either ran, or in a few rare cases, grabbed the gun of a fallen trooper and began trying to assist him.

And so the citizens had called in the Jedi for help – what a surprise. Kyle pushed through the troopers running out to join the fray as he moved to the side to get a look down on the chaos erupting and the emergence of new blaster bolts and lightsaber blades. Even above the dogfights has begun. It seemed as this resistance wanted to take the planet back.

”Move forward, eyes open and keep all sides covered in packs of three or more. Jedi are on the hunt – they are cowards and use the Force as a weapon instead of real tactics. Don’t give them an inch.”

Kyle stuck with a small squad of troopers as they marched down into the fray from the right flank, doing the best to keep down those running and amassing back-up. He placed his E11 up to his line of fight and started to squeeze of precise shots to any and all he could see fighting back.

Milo listened to his brother, [member="Greifen Ren"] , and followed him silently, beckoning his guard [member="stardust"] to follow as well.

The Knight of Ren exited Starkiller Base as well. Ignoring the dogfights and sounds of war all around him, Milo hopped on the speeder next to Greifen's, his black robes fluttering as the two, and probably his bodyguard as well, took off to assist the two regiments that needed assistance.

This would be his first battle, and the Knight was slightly nervous, but he channeled that fear into power and energy. For now, he would follow his fellow Ren's lead, comfortable around the more experienced Dark Jedi.

She stood still till [member="Milo Ren"] beckoned her to follow, to which she slipped her helmet on and followed behind them

She watched the world britghen then the sounds of battle suddenly come into her hearing, she looked around in pure awe...war was a odd beauty

She climbed onto the speeder with Milo as they took off, she had no clue where they were heading...and didn't care one bit

Tess reacted quickly going evasive when the lead X-wing suddenly flipped around on a dime and came back at the advancing squadron. Nice move, but her TIE fighter had more maneuverability. She broke hard right to avoid a stream of red laser bolts, then made a sharp turn around pushing the G's until white spots just sprinkled her peripheral vision. That is when Goldilock's felt something touch her mind, then an illusion of another ship came into focus… but her data screen was negative for it. Daska shook her head to clear it before speaking to her flight.

"Cut the chatter, double one. Steel your mind against the Force user's mind tricks. Stay on target," the blonde lead advised, then dropped down to start her strafing run where the enemy was converging on the ground.

"Glad to see you too." Aston said as he glanced over towards the the Troops and he gripped his lightsaber. "Understood," Aston said as he used the force after her countdown and landed to the right of the troopers effectively attacking their flank. Aston moved using his quickness and agility greatly here dispatching several in town and using the force to knock those back. And for a a few moments he had gained the offensive against his side, but their numbers proved to much as he was forced on the defensive, utilizing what force abilities he could to keep the civilians, his ally and himself alive.

The Padawan used the force to pull some off of attacking his friend, but then he was forced behind what appeared to be a stone statue of sorts, this wouldn't last long. Aston muttered into his comlink, speaking to her.

"You doing alright over there." Aston said as he glanced to the side for a moment getting a peak at his next offensive engagement, that didn't end up with him getting fifty blaster bolts to his body.
