The Great Escape

The sun rose on Felucia, illuminating the landscape across the planet, Dominic was lead in a tree, waking to the sound of a bull rancor he had seen more times than he cared to count, nicknaming it 'Brutus'. He sat up and stretched as the Rancor tried desperately to grab hold of his leg, Dom stood and stared across the land, the sound of the Rancor scratching the tree beneath him was interrupted by the sound of an engine's roar as a ship broke the skyline. The Trandoshians had returned, with a fresh set of prey it seems, why else would they be here? they couldn't catch him, even with the ships they had and they're two eyes.

Dom looked down to Brutus saluting to him. "Maybe next time big guy" He proceeded to free run through the trees to see if the trackers had chosen anyone good this time, while swinging on a vine he was nearly eaten by an Ackley, though he knew this place, and everything was predictable. Eventually he emerged from the tree line onto a beach head where the holding cells opened releasing many species a few of which died on impact, the rest looked weak, with barely enough strength to walk. A few managed to stagger away, however others were immediately killed by the Trandoshian hunters.

A new hunt had begun, "I wonder how close you'll get this time then" as a hunter aimed at him, Dom vanished into the trees bringing them closer... exactly where he wanted them... Dom called to them with his voice echoing throughout the trees and mimicking the movements of animals in order to throw off the ability to track them. "y'know i'm not very impressed, to be honest I thought you were smarter, but you've proved me wrong, idiots" A Stick snapped behind the bushes infront of them, as they moved closer toward it, Dom silently dropped to the ground behind them, pulling out a small hand crafted dagger, made from the claw of a Nexu, raising it above one of the hunters.... ready for the kill...

"Wait, who's an idio- OHWAIT!" The voice spoke out, clearly not Trandoshan though of a similar height. Kahlil, startled by the sudden appearance of [member="Dominic Shiro"] , causing him to spin and stumble away from the attack. If it hadn't been for the Force, he'd very well of been stabbed. The Epicanthix held out both of his hands, trying to seem as harmless as possible. Especially since he hadn't come alone.

"I'm not one of the slavers. We've come to stop them. I heard they were hunting people here. We're going to get you off world. Okay?" He reached down for his side, slowly. "I'm going to grab my com and let them know I found someone, so we can meet up. Okay?" He was being as cautious as he could be. Last thing Kahlil wanted was to give the man before him a reason to strike.

He'd lift up the com then, clicking it on. "Kafh, I've found someone. Pull the ship around and get the others ready." Then he'd click it off. "Is there anyone else here that's been captured?"

Kafh-en-ma-nofre sat in the cockpit of the Bastion leaning back on the co-pilot's seat. Kafh sighed Felucia, not the best place in the Galaxy, but that's exactly why they're there, Kahlil got wind of Trandoshan hunters that hunted Force sensitives for game. All in glorifying their God. Kafh totally understood, people followed their gods in their own ways. Kafh sighed, he wasn't one to step on people's beliefs. So he decided to stay on the ship while Kahlil went Planetside.

Kafh fumbled with his comm. "Alright, we're enroute to your position." Kafh tilted his head back and called to the rest of the crew. "Suit up, we're going in. Be ready at the landing ramp." He said. Kafh turned to R6. "Hey, R6 can you head to Kahlil's coordinates. Got a pickup." Kafh asked. The Droid sounded off a few beeps. Kafh smiled. "Alright...please." before heading out of the cockpit. Making his way to his quarters.

Upon entering he'd throw on a blue shirt and grab his pack. "Amary, Thiavi. Let's go the gods wait for no one." He said with a smirk as he exited his room.

Kafh made his way to the landing ramp and waited at it's exit. The young man put his backpack on and smiled.

R6 then began piloting the Bastion to Kahlil's location.

Dominic chukled and spoke sarcastically "Is there anyone else who has been captured on this planet? I mean, I didn't see any large ship just drop a hundred people from cages to certain death" He hooked the knife back onto his belt and turned around pacing back and forth, he wasn't exactly being cautious around this stranger, he had no reason to, he hadn't met anyone yet who could beat him hand to hand, and he knew the jungle like the back of his palm. "By the way, you don't want to stay down here, this is Brutus' territory, and he isn't the nicest fellow"

Dominic jumped extremely high onto a nearby tree, looking out over the horizon to see the hunting parties forming on the beach head, this person had told him he was there to.... well he wasn't really listening, but it was something about freeing the hunted people on the planet, was he truthful? Dom didn't know, he was barely ever true to himself. "I assume you called a ship down here? Well how about we make their landing a slight bit easier stranger?"

Dom jumps back down to the floor, placing his hand on the ground, feeling the vibrations of the multiple creature walking across the earth, Brutus was easy to fins he looked back to the man, smiling...

Thiavi had been sitting in the common room waiting for the action to start. She didn't dislike trandoshans as much as she did klatoonians or hutts, but these trandoshans were slavers and what do we say to slavers?

"Feth these guys! ughhh" she slumps her head back against her seat. the waiting was killing her "Why can't we make them come to us? We wouldn't have to sit here for-everrrr"

She usually wasn't like this. really she wasn't. Kafh had seen it, she got antsy when slavers and more importantly, slaves were on the line.

"Where's kahlil anywa- she goes silent as the comms come to life and then kafh enters the room "Speak of the devil.. Alright, let's go! Gods wait for no one? feth that, I'm not waiting!" She laughs, hopping off her chair and grabbing her helmet. with a quick twist it was on snug. Now it was time for the good stuff, which called for some music. She'd have to modify the helmet later, but for now she had a crappy speaker thing in her wrist cuff. She sits down on the very edge of the boarding ramp, one armed wrapped around the support while she cycled through the playlists on her. "Let's see.. StarDestroyers, Check. Death Trooper, Check."

Soon the band "StarDestroyers" came on the modified, probably built from scrapped parts radio built into her vambrace began playing her selected song as her helmeted head bobs up and down to the beat

"Trooper Elite,
Cannot Defeat!

Mmmm Alright! Ready to get this show on the road?!" she calls out enthusiastically

[member="Dominic Shiro"] [member="Kafh-en-ma-nofre"] [member="Kahlil Zambrano"]

Yep. [member="Dominic Shiro"] was definitely a force sensitive. Kahlil quickly jumped up after him, a brow raised. Multiple questions went through his mind as he watched the young man jump back down. Back down? Bruts? "Uh, well. Who's Brutus? And what do you mean? Are there no others?" Chit. That was bad news. They were suppose to be here to free all the slaves. And all was a lot more then one.

For now, he'd just watch the young man with a brow raised. "Oh, also. Last question. Where are the slavers?"

Gods Thiavi sure got energetic when slaves were on the line. Kafh totally understood but there's a difference between going in with a plan and just charging out. Kafh noticing Thiavi was ready opened his commlink to Kahlil's channel. "Teacher we're coming up on your position get ready." Kafh said as they came into view.

Wait just one? Weren't there supposed to be more. R6 brought the boarding ramp as close as it could to the duo. "Steady R6 don't damage the ship." Kafh called out.

"Gods Thiavi you're a bit gung-ho aren't you? Not everyday is a good day to die you know....at any rate do you see any targets?" Kafh asked loudly, she probably could barely hear him due to her blasting music.

It definitely was strange not seeing any resistance from Trandoshan or Creatures.

Kafh-en-ma-nofre had a bad feeling about this. "Gods..." Kafh whispered.

"Brutus, is the bull rancor, who rules this jungle, I seem to be the only one who isn't obedient, the slavers are behind the tree line over there, and the other slaves.... Well if i'm being honest, they're probably in something's gut by now" He kept his hand on the ground as the shaking ceased, and was instead replaced with the low hum and roar of engines. As this Ship approached, he saw the ramp lowered and on which sat two people, some guy who looked like he should be in a boy band and a mandolorian look-a-like who had terrible taste in music.

Dom looked to Kahlil with a concerned look. "That's your crew? you're going to rescue the hundred or so slaves here, with three people, and i'm assuming a droid at the helm?" He still knelt on the ground with his hand flat against it, he finally stood back up as he could sense no more vibrations from the beast. This lot were here to rescue them? They'd need more than a few guns and a ship that barely looks held together.

None-the-less, he stayed with Kahlil as the ship descended, bringing the two duos closer, he wasn't exactly one for greetings, so he simply turned toward the tree line and strolled toward it. "Y'know you really shouldn't landed here" Dom slowly picked up the pace, while doing so he turned back to face the ship and stopped "Brutus isn't a fan of uninvited guests" Dom reached out both of his hands toward the ship, using the force to lift it slightly and move it to the side.

As he did this, Brutus rushed through the tree line swinging at the ships engine, denting the engine block, causing it to become unstable, Dom attempts to keep it airborne, however the ship is simply too heavy, so he gave up on holding it, at which point he stared at Brutus, smirking

"Okay, maybe today, big guy....."

Sassshra lifted her head as the brutal scene played out before her, a sharp pain aching through her heart as "Brutus" dented the poor ships engine block. Her pupil-less black eyes narrowed and she began to unwind her white form from the tree limb she was wrapped around, making her way slowly down the trunk of the tree until she could fully coil herself on the jungle floor. The female Fillithar lifted her head up once more, her long body rising up into the air more than a few feet so she could get her bearings. Sassshra wasn't that far from the beach, and so long as everyone on the beach stayed distracted, she might have just enough of a chance to sneak aboard the ship and not only get out off of this planet, but maybe even assist her saviors along the way.

Sassshra took a deep breath, in through the nostrils, out through the mouth, before beginning to sneak forward. Slithering quickly along her underbelly, the white Fillithar moved from the foliage of the jungle to the pale sand of the beach. She made sure to keep to the waters edge, as far away from the actual action as much as possible; she wasn't much of a fighter after all. She paused now and then, letting her forked tongue dart in and out of her mouth as she tasted the air, though she was doing so less to smell her surroundings but instead as a nervous tick.

Alright, Sasssh! Now just to wait for an opening....! The Fillithar thought to herself, shaking her head a few times to rid herself of what anxiety she was feeling from all the action on the beach. Sassshra took one more deep breath before she coiled up, ready to pounce or move at the second she had the chance to sneak aboard the ship.

"Oh. A bull rancor." Of course. Wait. Kahlil began frantically looking around. This tree wasn't tall enough to get away from a bull rancor! Wait wait wait. He began jumping to higher places, preparing to avoid the deadly bull rancor. [member="Dominic Shiro"] 's rather blatant disapproving attitude though made the young Jedi frown. "You know, we didn't have to come save you. They might not look like much, but they're here to get you and the others ou- wait what do you mean we shouldn't land here you're the one who said we should literally five seconds ago!"

Kahlil just sorta stared in disbelief as the next events unfolded. First, Dominic was far stronger then even him in the Force. Why was he still trapped here if he could so easily lift a ship? Second, A Bull Rancor charged from the forest and smashed his ship. His ship. He pushed past Dominic once the ship started to go down, but not to help him. [member="Thiavi"] and [member="Kafh-en-ma-nofre"] were on the ramp as the ship went down.

The Jedi closed his eyes and reached out to grab them and pull them from the ramp before the ship could crash land. His brow knitted together with the intense concentration he needed to lower them safely to the ground close by. "What the kark just happened." He muttered as he lowered his hands.

There they were. Kafh grinned as they got closer to Kahlil and the younger boy. His grin was soon wiped off his face. The teen used the Force to lift the ship. Even for if it was just for a second, Kafh sat suprised. The young man was then caught off guard by a Bull Rancor who swiped at the ship damaging something. "Gods." Was all Kafh managed to say. He felt himself and Thiavi get yanked out of the ship and pulled to safety by Kahlil. R6 managed to save the landing though the ship was still damaged.

Kafh having landed near Kahlil quickly recovered. "This is what happens when we interfere with a religious Tradition Teacher." Kafh groaned. He glanced over to Dominic. He'd definitely have to introduce himself to the younger man later, but for now he had to focus.

Kafh frowned when he looked to [member="Thiavi"]. "are you alright.." he said with a hint of concern in his voice. As he stepped closer to her. He shook his head and looked towards the Rancor.

"We gotta do something fast." Kafh said as he crouched down low. What the hell were they even supposed to do in a situation like this?

He didnt have time to notice Sasssh lurking around them.

"Old mandalorian saying, Ib'tuur jatne tuur ash'ad kyr'amur. it means "Today is a good day for someone else to die". It's not about the day you die, kafh. it's about what you do until then"

there is a short pause as she catches sight of something in the brush ahead, she turns her music off and attempts to zoom in on her HUD.

"Wait. got movement, multiple targets... Can't make out who, think it's the trandoshans?" Before she can react, the rancor appears from out of nowhere, tearing into the engine

CHIT she shouts, holding onto the supports as the ship is suddenly rocked sideways by.. an untrained padawan in the middle of the woods? probably the rancor.

she had half a mind to just tuck and roll her way out of it.

"Feth! Kafh, count of three we jump- one, two, th- She had already lifted off the ramp when kahlil used the force to lift them out, so she awkwardly floats downward, half way through a summersault before completing it as they finally touch the ground. she casually dusts herself off like nothing ever happened, and then puts her mind to the task at hand. Gun up and head down, she darts for the treeline, "Come on kafh, We'll see if we can't lose him in the trees"

Amaryllis grinned as she dabbed some of the spice delicately, carefully into the cooking pot. She was planning a big meal, after all. They had come to save some slaves! They needed a good, yummy meal after all. And so, Amaryllis was preparing a bigger, better meal than ever before. Indeed, already a variety of delicious smelling goods had been placed in the dining area.

Her amber eyes danced to the recipe on the datapad as she dashed another ingredient into the soup. That was until the ship suddenly rocked. A hiss as she grabbed ahold of the table, despite the soup crashing down oven and spilling across the counters. In a simple, grey dress and an apron, she huffed, her tail fully extending. Man, what was going on out there? Wasn't this supposed to be an easy Jedi mission thing?

Nonetheless, deciding to investigate, she creeped down the now crooked ship until she found the landing pad. In the distance, she spotted [member="Kahlil Zambrano"], [member="Thiavi"], and @Kafh-en-ma-nofre. Her eyes widened at the scene, her eyes focusing on the huge rancor apparently called Brutus. Indeed, they weren't the prettiest reptile she had seen in her short life. But finding beauty in even the ugly was important, especially since Kahlil even told her such.

Naturally intrigued by such things, she jumped off the platform and ran up towards with arms outreached and a bright happy smile. "What's your name," she asked in a baby voice as she walked up to the monster, wrapping her arms around his legs. The rancor seemed confused at first, unexpected by the sudden display of affection. Seemingly confused, he went along with it until it gave her the smallest (kind of) pats on the back.

"What're you doin' in a place like this," she tsked softly as the rancor finally sat down, making the ground seemingly bounce for a moment. "Awww, Brutus is your name? It's been hard, hasn't it?" She said softly as she rubbed the rancor's leg like she would a house cat. Ha, take that stupid robot. Why couldn't it be more like this little ole' thing?

@Sassshra @Dominic Shiro

Dom turns to answer Kahlil's question "What happened, is Brutus here has damaged your ship, what's going to happen now however, is anyone's guess" The two from the ramp seemed to be fine, and the first one he saw didn't seem to be any worse for wear. More than he could say for that engine, though the more pressing matter was staring them right in the face, Dom began to wonder if any of them knew how to fight a Rancor, if not he'd have to do it alone. Though that probably wasn't going to be a question that needed answering, as one of them, the Mandolorian, said something about running into the trees, so looks like he'd be taking the thing on alone.... again...

Just as he was about to charge at the beast, there was yet another person that came running out from the ship, well it was probably a person..... maybe.... wait what is it? none-the-less, they ran straight to Brutus calling out the name that he had came up with, how did she know it? She hugged it's leg, making Dom more confused than he had ever been, she had to be suicidal, however much to his disbelief, Brutus..... sat down? Hang about, what the hell just happened?

Dom turned to Kahlil with a puzzled look "Okay, I have two questions, one, who is she? And two, what did she do to Brutus?"

Sassshra, her white head poking out from behind the ramp of the damaged ship. Her gaze drifted from each grouping of the humanoids that stood upon the sand before quickly sneaking her way up the ramp and into the ship. Her tongue darted in and out of her mouth, not out of pure habit but also as a way for her to scent the surrounding area; she didn't want to get caught after all.

The white Fillithar glanced about as she slithered through the ship, keeping her focus on finding a vent opening as quickly as possible. What was maybe a minute felt far too long for Sassshra as she moved through the Bastion, and the sense of relief at finding a vent opening was bypassed by her and was replaced with a feeling of anxiety as she rushed to open the vent grate before her.

[member="Dominic Shiro"] [member="Amaryllis Tansea"] [member="Thiavi"] [member="Kafh-en-ma-nofre"] [member="Kahlil Zambrano"]

"No kidding.." Kahlil brushed his hand through his hair in disbelief at the destruction of part of his ship. His ship. He hadn't even finished paying off the warranty yet. But, he glanced to [member="Thiavi"] and [member="Kafh-en-ma-nofre"] . They were safe. That was a weight off his shoulders. No, wait. Brutos. The bull rancor. The Jedi pulled out his saber, forcing himself to smile at the multi tusked creature. He'd have to hold it back so the rest could escape.

"Alright kid, you go with the other two. I'll buy some time." He was talking to [member="Dominic Shiro"] with the full intention to protect everyone there.

Then something amazing happened. [member="Amaryllis Tansea"] stepped out, also unharmed from the near crash landing, and walked towards the Rancor. Kahlil burst from where he stood, running forward with the help of the Force to try and get between her and the Brutus. It's hand came down, it was going to crush her. Kill her. He couldn't let one of his padawans be killed!

And it sat down. Kahlil's run turned to a stumble as he just blinked in disbelief. Well, she had been in a forest with only these skills for a long long time. "Hey uh, Amaryllis, what's going on?"

Kafh was about to follow Thiavi when Amaryllis appeared. He watched as Kahlil bolted towards them, his eyes widened as the Bull Rancor seemed to settle at Amary's touch. "Gods....how in...what?" He was extremely dumbfounded. He shook his head and turned to Dom. "Hey, kid, come on, you're going to show Thiavi and I where the slaves are being held." Kafh stated as he ran after Thiavi.

Kafh turned on his commlink and began to speak. "Captain. We'll head to the slaves," he stated as he met up with Thiavi.

What in the gods just happened? Amary just got a bull rancor to calm down.

"Thiavi. The kid here is going to help us with finding the rest of the surviving slaves." He said gesturing to [member="Dominic Shiro"]

He looked around, Felicia would be a great planet to see beauty in if there wasn't so much danger.

Thiavi had bolted for the treeline, not to flee per se, but to gain a position of advantage in which to fight off the rancor. that wouldn't be necessary however, as [member="Amaryllis Tansea"] called out to it, asking it's name, preparing to tame it.

All thiavi knew was that a familiar voice had just called out. She suddenly turns, taking a knee "oh chi!t she actually gunna do it? oh chit she's dumber than I thought!" she mutters to herself, trying to slow her breathing. decisions had to be made in an instant, lives were on the line. It's hide is thick, just like the rathtar she'd met on subterell, she couldn't just blaster her way out of this. Weak points? weak points.. Eyes, what if she targets the eye?

She lines up a shot, getting the rancor's smooth, black eye in her ironsights, zooming in a little with the visor optics. She takes one quick glance at amara to make sure she isn't in her line of fire, then she glances back to her target.

Wait...

she glances back at amara. Did she just...?
Thiavi slowly lowers her weapon, glancing to "Brutus", then to amara, then to kafh who suddenly spoke up.

"why didn't she say she could do that before we got here?" she says to herself before standing. "Hey kafh, and uh.. whoever you are. There's till targets on the loose somewhere" she gestures with both fingers to her visor, and then with one towards the treeline on the other side of the rancor "could be the trandoshans, so eyes open"

[member="Kafh-en-ma-nofre"] [member="Kahlil Zambrano"] [member="Sassshra"] [member="Dominic Shiro"] [member="Amaryllis Tansea"]

Dom loosened his stance after feeling the shock from the beast, starring at amaryllis and then the rancor, perplexed by the fact that she had just.... calmed Brutus... those are two words he never thought he'd say together, he began walking toward the beast, only making it about a foot or two before he was distracted by the call of that boy band kid, telling him to show him where the slaves were.

"What? how am i suppo-" Before Dom could answer, kafh had ran off, into the trees, he began to run after him, looking back toward Kahlil, Amaryllis and Brutus, still just.... there. He turned his head back toward the trees as he entered, leaving the rest behind. The two had gotten a fair distance away, so he proceeded to enhance his abilities with the force, catching up to kafh eventually. "Hey, just so you know, I have no clue where the other slaves are, it's a hunt, not a prison, I can't just point you toward a place, you have to search for them"

Dom looked forward to see the other one from the ramp, the mandolorian, motioning toward the brush in the distance, stating that it could be Trandoshans, Dom looked toward the brush, wondering if it really would be Trandoshans, it would make atleast a bit of sense, after all, they had make quite a ruckus, He couldn't stop thinking about where the other slaves might be, "Y'know I think I know where they might be, but I guess we've got more pressing matters at the moment?"

The grate over the vent opening finally popped off, and Sassshra found herself finally slithering into the opening, pulling the vent cover back into place as best she could though it was slightly skewed. She wiggled through the passageway, poking her nose to each entrance she passed, her tongue flicking through the grates to scent the air beyond the opening as she searched for one chamber of the ship in particular.

Sassshra wasn't as anxious in the vent system, she definitely felt more at home slithering through pipes and narrow passageways that most others couldn't get through; though this vent system was still big enough for her to have more than enough room. She came to a stop at one of the vent openings, her sense of smell assaulted by a delicious aroma as she found herself outside the ships galley. With an adjustment to her position Sassshra found her prehensile tail at the vents grate, opening it from the inside before slithering out and into the galley.

The kitchen was a bit of a mess, some delicious smelling liquid was strewn about the galleys surfaces. Sassshra slithered closer and flicked her tongue out against the leg of the table. If any had been watching the pure white Fillithar, they would have seen her black orbs light up in delight as she then continued to lap up the delicious soup that had sadly been spilled minutes before. She did this for a few minutes.
