The Great Escape

Amaryllis continued to hug the rancor's leg, gently petting his leg with her soft hands. "Shhhush, shush, things will be better now! Don't let them get to you," she muttered calmly to the beast. Finally, she released herself from the hug as she stood in front of the rancor, which provided to give her a fairly large and bad smelling lick.

She crumpled her nose, clearly not a fan of that but she gave the rancor more gentle pets on his head as he leaned forward. She perked a brow as [member="Kahlil Zambrano"] asked her what was going on. Couldn't he see what she was doing? In a moment of frustration, she decided to say something somewhat sassy, "'you only see him as that, something different and to be feared, how can you expect anyone else to see you differently?'," she quoted Kahlil almost perfectly as she glared at him briefly.

The beast growled quietly at Kahlil, to which Amara tsked gently to the beast. No, that would not do, not at all. He had to be nice if he wanted friends, after all. "Brutus sad and lonely on island," she then confirmed as she scratched near what she could only assume was an ear.

"Ah.. Heh." Kahlil nervously began rubbing the back of his head has [member="Amaryllis Tansea"] spoke to him. She was still pretty mad about that, wasn't she. He sucked in a breath, glancing to the rest of the group. Right, the Trandoshans were still a threat, and they had to find the others. If they survived. Then it hit him. The Trandoshans wouldn't just make it so the slaves could easily escape. They'd have to have some way to track them, less they loose sight of their prey every night. Felucia had many places to hide.

And escape from.

So either the area they hunted in wasn't as large as he assumed, probably through use of barriers both invisible and not, or they had trackers. Best way to figure out which was to get one of the lizard people alive. "Right. [member="Thiavi"] , [member="Kafh-en-ma-nofre"] , take our new friend and ready an ambush. Set your blasters to stun. We need them alive if we're going to find the rest. I assume they have some way to track all the slaves afterall. Amaryllis, you uh. Think you can have Brutus get ready to intercept? He'd be a big help to stop the slavers." Keep it simple for now. Requests, not orders. Nothing more, nothing less. They could talk later.

"We'll rescue all of them. Understood?"

"A rough idea would do, anything that could help us find them" she says in tone not so much pleading, but still urgent in response to [member="Dominic Shiro"], who she hadn't been introduced to yet, but the formalities would have to wait, those slaves were still out there, and there was no telling how many had already been picked off.. She keeps her eyes on the treeline where they'd seen movement from before. she didn't like this at all.. She knew that something was there, but not what..

"I got a bad feeling about th- *Krakkk* A golden blaster bolt hits thiavi right in the chest, the bolt barely slipping along the edge of cuirass, melting a hole in the fabric of her vest, exposing the metalic sheen of the fiberplast construction. She groans lightly clasping at the small hole in the vest before looking back up and then suddenly falling backwards and slumping into the underbrush behind her. Her armour would have stopped the bolt, thankfully, but absorbing the high energy of a sniper's shot took a toll more severely than it would have if it were a normal blaster rifle or carbine, thus knocking her to the ground a moment later, as she was temporarily weakened.

Meanwhile, the trandoshan sniper had just disappeared in the treeline across from them, attempting to change locations, as per the sniper's golden rule of never firing more than one shot from the same location. he would attempt to lose their line of sight amidst the maze of blue vegetation. however, as thiavi had mentioned earlier, there may have been more than one target..

Kafh-en-ma-nofre, looked to Dominic Shiro. Who gave a comment about how it was a hunt not a prison. The younger teen added that he might know a way to find them though. "Like Thiavi said, anything helps." Kafh would agree.

Soon after, [member="Kahlil Zambrano"] told the three to ambush the slavers, that they possibly had a tracking device on them. Kafh activated his commlink and was about to speak. "Alright We-" Kafh was cut off by a loud bang. He scanned the treeline looking for any source of the sound.

When he heard Thiavi groan. He whirled around and watched as Thiavi reached for her wound. Looking up, then falling into the dirt. Kafh was stunned, his eyes wide and mouth open. He felt this anger in him, Thiavi was the first friend he's ever had, they escaped Tattooine together. She was someone who he could count on. The idea of having her die, he didn't know what to think.

"Gods..." Kafh said softly. He shook himself out of his trance and ran over to her. The Ex-Slave crouched next to her. Brushing away the foliage. He wasn't exactly prepared for something like this. He would be lying if he said he wasn't Panicking. Kafh quickly checked her breastplate, finding the wound. he wasn't exactly skilled enough to know if it was an actual wound so he did the next best thing. Kafh took off her helmet and set it aside, quickly checking her pulse. Kafh would turn to Dominic upon feeling her heartbeat.

"Hey, She still has a pulse." Kafh said with relief. Though He couldn't drop that feeling of anger he felt when he looked back and noticed Thiavi had been shot. No as hard as he tried it was still there.

He stood up and looked over to Thiavi, lying in the foliage, not moving. Clenching his fists he looked over to Dom. "She should be okay there, they shouldn't shoot if they think she's dead." Kafh said trying and failing to keep the Ange out of his voice.

Kafh moved to cover, then scanned the treeline again. He activated his commlink. "Captain, Thiavi's down. She's still breathing though, the kid and I are going after the Trandoshans." Kafh said with malice in his voice. He shut off the commlink and reached for his lightsaber.

"We have to bait them. Find their position. I can distract them if you keep an eye out for the shooter..." Kafh suggested, obviously still angry.

The two at least tried to respond, however that Mandolorian got shot by one of those little chits, to be honest he hadn't expected anyone to leave without a scratch, but that was a bit more than he was expecting from the hunters. He turned to see Thiavi fall to the ground, grasping at her wound, followed soon by Kafh, who promptly removed her helmet and checked for a pulse, Dom, purely out of curiosity, asked "How is she?" Kafh said she was gonna live, The anger that spewed from his mouth was almost palpable.

Kafh pressed himself against a tree, saying how they should try and find him, but Dom.... just stood between the trees, he looked over to Kafh smiling "You're not gonna need any distractions to find them, you can feel them, all of them" Dom closed his eyes and began to concentrate on his surroundings, the rustling from the leaves, the click of the sniper's focusing lens, even the the snipers breathing...

As he stood there, his search narrowed, until.... "There" he flicked his hand which moved the gun enough that it completely missed all of them. The bolt hit the ground, and the sniper moved, before they could make it more than a few steps Dom had grasped them with the force pulling them from the trees and right to Kafh's feet. "One Trandoshan, as ugly as I remember" as he said this, the brush again began to rustle, Dom once again drew the blade from his belt, readying himself for what may come.

[member="Sassshra"] would be met by a series of beeps as the ships number one droid, R6, rolled into view. It made a number of what should be rude and insulting beeps, but really only to those who could understand it. Given Kahlil n Co. were off the ship, unless she spoke it'd just be beeps and warbles. Eventually, it'd leave the big snake alone and head to the engine room to start trying to fix Brutus's damage.

Kahlil on the other hand, stared in both horror and annoyance as [member="Dominic Shiro"] brought [member="Kafh-en-ma-nofre"] a Trandoshan. He raised his hand in response, using the Force to slam the lizard into the ground to smack it's head and knock it unconscious. Kafh was angry. He wouldn't let the boy make an attack in anger. "Amaryllis, get Brutus going! He'll be a great help against the slavers. Kafh, get Thiavi on the ship then regroup with me. You, stranger!" Kahlil pulled out his pistol, tossing it to the young man.

"You're with me. Hope you know how to shoot."

Sassshra blinked in surprise at being verbally assaulted by a droid. The Fillithar stared after it as it ran off, before a smile crossed her scaled face, . "Hey wait! I can help you!" Sassshra cleaned the excess soup from her face, making herself more presentable before slithering speedily after the droid.

Kafh-en-ma-nofre was suprised when Dominic found the sniper, and used the Force to drag him over. The ex slave looked at the Trandoshan, hate behind his eyes.

Kafh was about to do something he'd regret, but out of nowhere the Trandoshan was lifted then slammed down, being rendered unconscious. Kafh looked back, it was Kahlil. The young man let out a sigh of relief and deactivated his lightsaber.

"Thank you..." He'd whisper as he ran over to Thiavi and hoisted her up.

Kafh then made his way to the ship. Bringing Thiavi to the Medbay before heading back out. And regrouping with Kahlil.

"I'm sorry, I let my anger get the better of me teacher." He said.
