The hunt for Cor

He shook his head "Fine, take Cor" He said pointing to the Ithorian. He then gave a light kick to Cor's back, not hard enough to hurt a toddler.

He had never seen Sal in person but he worked with enough criminals to hear stories of Sal's deeds. He got on his knees and faced Carden while shaking. "P-please, just take me into Zakary, not S-Sal. You don't know what he does to people, please...I have kids!" He then slowly turned to Keely, still on his knees. "PLEASE, JUST TAKE ME INTO ZAKARY, NOT SAL VALENTINO! PLEASE, I AM BEGGING YOU" He then looked at Sal with a look of terror in his face.

"PLEASE, JUST TAKE ME INTO ZAKARY, NOT SAL VALENTINO! PLEASE, I AM BEGGING YOU" Dammit... Why did he have to beg?

[member="Cor Latch"] had been just a bounty, a sum to be collected at the day's end. They hadn't interacted in any way, shape, or form, but the sound of his voice... it made her hands shake. Keely felt a tug in her chest, she knew herself, knew her habits. She wouldn't be able to give this poor guy over.

She didn't get the chance to retract her words, however, as [member="Carden Lorps"] seemed to have made the same incredibly stupid mistake she had made. He was just quicker to speak.

Her eyes jumped from Carden to [member="Sal Valentino"] , then back again. He was so young... she had first noticed when he had taken off his helmet before. He didn't know better than to keep his mouth shut. Life hadn't kicked him in the teeth for it, yet.

She would not say anything. Not yet. It would be infinitely safer to watch this play out, see what happens.

"NO, I DIDN'T AGREE ON ANY DEAL!" He shouted, he looked at [member="Keely"] then to [member="Carden Lorps"] "Come on, man. Don't do this, let's just go". He started sweating badly. Just thinking about Sal made him get goosebumps on his neck. "You are just joking, right? Yeah...he is just joking, right?"
[member="Keely"] [member="Carden Lorps"] [member="Tross Sergo"]

Carden looked at Cor, "keep you mouth shut, or I'll shut it for you, and you think I can leave when Sal and his goons are still her, just chill." Carden said calmly then looked at Sal "look lets just say this Mr. Valentino, im not letting you take Cor, but I will give information on Zakary. Let Cor go."

Real power can't be given. It must be taken.
With the change of mind from Carden, the situation just got a lot more complicated, and would probably be more costly for Sal. Also, Keely was showing signs of discomfort, the last thing Sal needed was for this to end in another disagreement.

Sal let out a long sigh as Carden continued to ask for another deal, shaking his head as he did so. "How about Carden, you name the price, since 2 of your friends already agree with me." This seemed like the only viable conclusion Sal could come to, since he was still keen on getting Cor. No matter Carden's price it would never be too much. Sal was rich, powerful, deadly. And if he had to, Carden could be dealt with.

"My price, my price... you really want to buy me out like that. 100,000 credits....each thats my price, or like I said before let Cor go and I will tell you what I know about Zakary plus you pay us all 60,000 Credits. " Carden was still interested in getting the money but he wanted a little more before he handed over Cor. Like Carden said Credits make the world go round.

There was no way Ballen-Ist could surpress his laugh, the maniacal cackle sounding out as he listening to Carden Lorp's completely ridiculous request. Clenching his stomach in a fit of laughter, the young boy would seem genuinely amused, lifting a gloved finger to wipe away at a tear that had formed in his eye.

"Do you really think you're worth one hundred thousand credits?"

Noticing the young sinister looking boy next to Sal break down with laughter, Sal also agreed the offer was pretty ridiclious. 300,000 getting spent on 3 bounty hunters? For one drunk, who might know some viable information on Zakary Saz. Carden had never ceased to amaze Sal with his egotistic attitude.

"Carden, I feel, like this boy here, that your offer is pretty ridiculous, though 300,000 credits would not dent my bank account" reaching his hand behind him, a bodyguard handed Sal a briefcase, full of 100,000 credits "But 100,000 credits, actually make that 200,000 credits each, and all you bounty hunters come with me and tell me what you know? That as high as I'm going." Sal finished, proving the legitimacy of the deal by opening the credit rich briefcase.

Carden looked at [member="Keely"] then at [member="Tross Sergo"] "does that sound like a good deal?" Carden asked the other two bounty hunters. Then looked at Ballen-Ist "and to answer your question Ballen no im worth more." Carden said with a smile across his face. Carden wanted to see if the others agreed. Carden looked at Cor pulling him out from behind him then pushing him to Keely. "What do you want to do? You guys decide."

[member="Ballen-Ist"]

[member="Sal Valentino"]

"I'll go" He said, staring into the briefcase. He had never seen that many credits in his entire life. A grinned appeared on his face and then he spoke "Ok, let's go!" He said happily.

"Ok, lets get going, unless Keely says different." Carden wasn't about to fall for any of Sal's tricks so he kept a eye on Cor "one more thing Sal Cor stays with me." Carden said he really didn't trust Sal no matter what the amount of Credits was.

"You two are complete idiots." Ballen-Ist would state, looking at [member="Carden Lorps"] and [member="Tross Sergo"], having come out of his fit of hysteria only moments ago. Shaking his head from side to side, he could only smirk as he gave [member="Sal Valentino"] a rather amused look, his grin still apparent. These idiots really were eager to stumble into the man's territory. However, if Sal was an honorable man no harm would fall upon them, which was something the young Sith did not really count on. He would not say anymore, simply pondering on what the crime lord had in mind.
[member="Keely"]

"Not a idiot just really smart Ballen-Ist, but believe what you want, I am smarter than this bounty hunter" Carden said with a smirk pointing to [member="Tross Sergo"] "I am smart enough to know that Sal m ma y be lying and may double cross us." Carden said in a business like tone

The boy next to Sal, [member="Ballen-Ist"], had begun talking again, "You two are complete idiots." He would say, followed by an amused grin.

Sal glanced a look at the boy, his face telling him to be quiet, all Sal had to do was to get the bounty hunters to a secure location, the he could do all he wished with them. Usually this would be an easy job, but this boy could jeopardise the whole deal, by pointing out their mistakes.

"Well, you have my word that nobody will be hurt, nor will you be forced to stay with me." This may have been a lie, but with years of practise, Sal had a very good poker face, only a deception expert would be able to see through it. Sal was a business man, time was money, and right now this deal was taking too long.

"How do we know you will keep your word Sal? How bout this, we stay here lose the body guards then we do the agreed upon deal." Carden said in a serious tone. Carden was determined to stay in the area he wanted to do the deal here and if he could get him to lose most of his body guards, Carden had a great idea, or at least to him. But Ballen-Ist may just mess it up if he felt like it, Carden had no clue where Ballen-Ist would point his saber at if this all gets messed up. Carden wanted to get the Credits with most of his body guards gone they could shoot the rest. Tyen we take Cor and get paid more. The only flaw to that plan would be Ballen-Ist unless he would not help [member="Sal Valentino"]

The redhead could only blink at the proceedings.

Keely directed her attention from one speaker to the next. In her opinion, this whole exchange was taking a very long time, and until some kind of conclusion was reached, they were just a bunch of armed and dangerous individuals clogging the street. With a sigh, the woman settled her blasters into her holsters.

Bringing her hands up to her helmet, the huntress pulled it off her head, tucking it under her arm as she shook out her messy red hair. She couldn't ignore her shaking hands, or the cold sweat gathering along her back. She couldn't just keep standing out here.

I didn't bring any with me... This was supposed to be a quick snatch!

Keely maintained as intimidating a figure as was possible for an unarmed hunter with their helmet off, but it was more out of habit than anything else. This negotianion had progressed beyond the bullying stage, and the haggling stage was taking forever.

"No offense, but I don't see why he'd get rid of his only short-term insurance because you ask."

Carden turned his attention to Keely "who knows, maybe he will it all depends on his attitude, and what's to worry about? He could still keep a few with him I just don't like all his goons breathing down our necks. I'm trying to make it as easy as possible sweetheart, don't tell me you actually trust this goon." Carden said pointing to Sal. "Look we're all tired of sitting out here in the open so the faster we get this done, the faster we can go back to our everyday business." Carden said. Carden could tell that everyone here was getting tired of standing around.
