The Imperial Seeker - Bastion

"..." Kelsie kicked herself for not acting faster. A quick glance around confirmed that no one else was in their area, so she took the opportunity. In one smooth, rapid movement, she drew her HL-27, set it to stun, and shot Kahlil in the back.

The Sith really did make her sick in the stomach. She holstered her weapon once more and took a look at the damage he had caused. The wall of her workspace was exposed, thankfully the blast had only cut out one of the rooms on the side. The ship was modified to have each room able to separate from the others, each set of compartments with their own systems. The droids should be undamaged, and the armory was on the other side. Could've been disastrous if he'd hit that.

Kelsie went about grabbing Kahlil by the collar and dragging him towards the ship.

"That should do it. Just stay behi-" There was a sudden warning from the Force, though not that the young Sith was able to act on it. The warning came too late, his body suddenly frozen as the stun caught him square in the back. Everything went black, leaving him unconscious for just a minute before his mind reactivated. He awoke on the ground with the woman gone.

So she's the spy. Damnit.

He remained helpless as he laid on the ground, his face halt in the metal flooring of the spaceport. Every part of his body screamed to move, but he was unable, his body still frozen from the stun shot. When Kelsie came back she'd find him still struggling, barely able to lift his head to glare at her as she began to drag him. This was problematic for sure.

Kelsie spent just enough time to make sure everything was secure and alright, giving a quick check of her ship. She'd need to get that repaired. Wouldn't do for her to just have a real broken-down vessel to fly. Reminded her of the one time she had to fly an ugly. Hated every second of it. What was more interesting to her was the little tidbit her glasses had fed her about Kahlil -- son of the Emperor. Interesting.

She dragged him over to the landing ramp, then she sat on the ramp herself and flashed a little smile at the still face-down young Sith. She fiddled with her blaster as she spoke. "Sorry about that. This is just something you might not understand..." She paused for a moment with the realization of the fact that she wasn't really on assignment. Then again, the whole point of her being here was to erase her history -- that meant, in part, no witnesses. "Really Kahlil, you should give a girl a little more attention if you want her to like you," she joked.

[member="Kahlil Zambrano"]

If it was possible, Kahlil would have growled at Kelsie in the most basic way to show anger. Instead, the most he could do was glare, his hazel eyes flooded with malice. The young Sith had assumed quite a lot about his companion, but the largest mistake was assuming she wasn't a threat. What ever she had come for she had gotten, and now he was laying here helpless.

Dammit dammit dammit.

He gritted his teeth, the first real movement he could do. Now she mocked him? "T.. Titjir.." He visibly struggled with the words, forcing each syllable out from sheer force of will. He spat them like an insult, trying to make it seem like nothing more then him swearing at her in another language.

"Dradzia."

Kelsie sighed and took off her glasses to clean them with the end of her sleeve. "Look big guy, I'm not gonna kill you. I'm not a spy, either, otherwise I would've gone to one of the government or military buildings. The records library, well, it's something a little more personal." She had no real reason for being honest other than just wanting to. Surely with this impressive record of his he'd be able to put it together quickly.

She seemed awfully casual and calm. Maybe she could convince him to let her off the hook and she could have a day off in the Pellaeon Gardens. That'd be rather wonderful.

Nonetheless she kept her blaster close and vaguely pointed in Kahlil's direction. No funny business.

Kahlil kept his glare on the woman while she spoke, still gritting his teeth as he tried to move. At least she let him wake his sword. The weapon whispered in his mind, wishing to know his orders. Not that he could give any orders in his state. For now, the weapon would rest on his hip until he had his chance. "A.. Ah..? Deleting.. Yourself?" He continued to force his words, still trapped on the ground.

"Sorta.. Traitorous huh?"

"Eh. The only institution I'd be betraying is long gone," she said soberly. It was an odd experience. As much as she liked all the new things of Ravelin, she rather missed the white-armored stormtroopers and that little inkling of pride each time she passed another Imperial banner. Or hell, even just the Pentastar badge stuck on a patch on her arm.

The young woman leaned back on the landing ramp, seemingly relaxing a little more. "I guess I'm done here, but I'd been planning to take a little visit here. If you don't mind, could you take me to that cafe? I could use a coffee," she said innocently. It was true, she did want a little visit. And keeping him close would keep him honest, from what she could tell he wasn't the most physically adept. She could take him.

[member="Kahlil Zambrano"]

"Ah? A shame." There we go. Kahlil could speak better, showing the signs of the stun wearing off already. Good. He struggled to move a hand, slowly pushing himself up from the ground. He felt no pity for the woman's situation, especially now that she had shown her true colors and quite literally shot him in the back. Still, he cracked a grin at her request, snickering faintly.

"And yet you still want some caf. Astounding."

Kelsie was actually rather impressed by how quickly he recovered from the shock. She simply gave a friendly smile to the young Sith. "Aw, c'mon. Good coffee's hard to come by, and y'know, starting off your day hanging out with a nice guy like yourself doesn't seem too bad to me."

She, too, got to her feet and stepped over to him, sticking out a hand to help him up. "So how about it? I'm sure a big guy like you knows how to treat a girl well, mm?"

[member="Kahlil Zambrano"]

"You know as soon as I get the chance I will turn on you, right?" Kahlil forced a grin as he accepted [member="Kelsie Sylvan"] 's hand. For now, he was still too weak. He couldn't even keep on his feet all that well without her assistance, but how much longer would that be so? The best bet was simple honesty and accepting the new reality of having to treat the spy to a drink. At least she had her looks.

"But, as I'm sure you've picked up, I'm not much of a fighter. I suppose I'll have to go along with this for a while."

"Aw, c'mon, I'm not that bad am I?" She gave him a small, cheeky smile. A disarming one, she was. "And I think you're better than that, don't you?" Kelsie smoothly stepped away once more, putting on her glasses once more and commanding the landing ramp to be raised. She really did have no malicious intent... Kahlil may have been able to sense that if he could sense her at all.

"Hey, I'm not forcing you to do anything here. You wanted to take me there anyways, and I just want a good coffee, mm?" She smiled once more, gesturing towards the exit of the hangar. "Lead the way."

[member="Kahlil Zambrano"]

"I suppose there are worse things." Kahlil muttered as he began to stumblewalk his way towards the hanger exit. He was running out of ideas. Once back in the regular population he'd be unable to just strike her down without bringing in civilians. The last thing he wanted was an altercation in the middle of a coffee shop. For now he'd just play nice. She already made it clear she didn't want to kill him.

"So, you gonna tell me what it was you stole?"

Kelsie tactfully walked a quarter-step behind him and just to his left, being sure that he wouldn't be able to draw his sword and attack her in one movement. Then again, she doubted his speed was equal -- or even near -- hers. She let him lead the way back out of the hangar and into the spaceport, bustling with activity in the mid-afternoon. Civilians made excellent cover in her experience. "There are always worse things," she said in a rather knowing tone.

"Oh, if you want," she said with a shrug. "Bank records, identities, and... well, me."

[member="Kahlil Zambrano"]

"You? So a defector? Kahlil hummed faintly to himself as [member="Kelsie Sylvan"] gave the brief description on what she took. Not a foreign spy, but a local who wanted her own freedom. The young Sith let out a sigh, setting his hand casually on the hilt of his blade. "Sleep." The guardian did as it was commanded, once again returning to a state of inactivity as it's master turned his gaze back to the agent.

"So. What is your real name?"

"Not quite," she said with a slight solemn note in her voice. Some things she'd miss about the Empire, and more importantly the Alignment. Others, not so much.

She seemed a little confused as she looked over at Kahlil's sword, wondering what it was. Could it be some sort of droid, or Sith artifact? Sentient objects weren't out of the question. But she could ask him about it later, for now she just slipped along, leading him through the various people and buildings to exit the spaceport.

"My name's a little above your pay grade, at least, right now," she said with a little smile. "You've gotta take me to the cafe first."

[member="Kahlil Zambrano"]

"From what I've read folks usually give a name before a date, but I guess the actual scenario is different." Kahlil chuckled to himself as he finally regained some normal composure. [member="Kelsie Sylvan"] wouldn't be stuck walking around with someone who looked like a cripple at least. He took out his book as they walked, casually flipping through the black tome. He began writing in it as if he wasn't just shot in the back and currently walking with someone who could probably break his neck in a heartbeat.

"What's your plan after this? Run to the other side of the galaxy?"

"Oh, so this is a date, hmm?" She suddenly grinned, slipping her arm into his and taking his hand. Kelsie was significantly shorter than Kahlil but she didn't mind at all, still walking -- and tugging him along slightly -- with that same smooth confident stride. "You can call me 'babe', then," she said jokingly.

"Run?" The young woman chuckled softly. She supposed he didn't need to know her all that well, but she'd give him a hint. "Please. I'm young and I've got a life to live. Might as well do something interesting, no? Get the adrenaline pumping. Someday I'll settle down of course, but right now? So much more to see and do."

[member="Kahlil Zambrano"]

"Wait what." Kahlil blinked slowly at the joke, clearly taken aback by it. Especially when she looped her arm with his and squeezed his hand. [member="Kelsie Sylvan"] had already gotten him flustered once, but this time it was awfully apparent as the faintest bit of red brushed across his tan features. He certainly wouldn't admit it, but she definitely had the looks. "I.. No. I'm not calling you babe."

The young Sith cleared his throat, matching her stride with his own sense of confidence. Well, as much as he had with a woman asking to be called babe hooked to his arm. "But yeah. Right. Gotta live to the fullest. .. Not that I can say I have." His time as a Sith was spent in the library nose deep in a book, hardly an adventure.

"Aww, buy babe..." She pouted for a moment, then burst out laughing. Some people were just so fun to mess with. "Come on, have a little confidence. Girls like that."

Kelsie really didn't understand people who didn't want to spend their time doing fun things. Sure, work, duty, self-improvement, all that crap. No wonder she rarely met happy people. Money and family were the big ones. No wonder Kahlil seemed rather down.

She never really understood all the edgy Sith stuff but she'd always assumed it was boring. Seemed like Kahlil thought so too. "Mm, Sith stuff boring? What's that like?"

[member="Kahlil Zambrano"]

"You shot me in the back. It's not a matter of confidence so much as a matter of trust." Kahlil quickly answered as if he had thought it up as they were walking. [member="Kelsie Sylvan"] certainly had a way of getting under the young Sith's skin. Those without a sense of responsibility always did. "It's not really boring. I figured you, who aren't able to use the Force, wouldn't care. Though, is that also a lie?"

He shook his head slowly. It wouldn't be a surprise at this point. "It's a lot of backstabbing and trying to out think your fellow Sith to be on top, all while trying to avoid the ire of your betters and pick up the scraps of knowledge you can."
