The view from the highest tower on the temple of Tython, was quite marvelous. A stark contrast to the cityscape that the Coruscant temple offered. Here there were jungles and mountains to view, and zero pollution around. The world was so young that native fauna and flora could be viewed from the tower. A few rays of sunlight could be seen dancing across the wall as they entered in with the dawn, it was a new day. Not just for this world, or the galaxy at large, but for the Jedi as well. It took many trials and tribulations to get here, but here we are.

A Jedi Council would actually assemble on this day.

Making his way through the massive, open area. He noticed that seven chairs had been set up in the semi-circle design he had approved earlier in the week. Each Master had been picked for not just their own talent in the Force, but through the goodness of their spirit. No, this wouldn't be a room of yes-men and women. The Jedi had a new direction, and while Darron was the head of the Order. No longer would the burden of each decision be his alone to bear. Thank you for your sacrifice's Teferi, you did bring change.

The echo of his boots was rather loud in the empty chamber, and the GrandMaster took a moment to adjust his simple Jedi robes. Idle handles gently nudged the lightsaber hilts at his waist, and he became aware of how itchy the robe he was wearing over his Jedi garb was. Blue eyes took in the excellent view one last time, as he emptied his emotions and allowed the Force to flow into him. He needed to be centered and ready for this meeting, as the direction of the Jedi would be decided in this room.

Taking his seat in the center chair, Darron looked over the layout once more as he felt the other's approaching. To his left and his right where three chairs placed evenly apart, with built in holo-projectors should a member be away on assignment. A mental note was made to compliment whoever cleaned the marble as the door opened. Rising to his impressive height of 6'5 he took a bow to the assembled group.

"Welcome all of you, it is my pleasure to see the Jedi Council rebuilt. I trust you all are doing well?"

Tython.

Yet again the world of her nightmares stretched out before her. Why did this planet keep calling her back, why could Darron not have chosen another world for the meeting of Jedi. Though most would see beauty, the mountainsides darting out from fields of flowers, from evergreen trees, she saw solely the unrest. Mountains became gravestones. Flowers, the final offering made to the dead as they rest below the dirt. The trees like tendrils shooting upwards, trying to escape the underworld yet never reaching the sky.

Why this world? Why could she not remember what commenced here?

She could go to the archives. Look up her own name...but would she be faced with deceit and lies--would Shule have scrubbed her identity from the records as she had suspected he had done to her mind? But a part of her did not even wish to know. It was a past life, one which no longer belonged to this body. She had to start fresh, even if ghosts threatened to drag her back to hell.

Darkness clung to her, shamefully so. Why did Darron even choose her for the council when so many unrests pulled at her soul? He needed purity, beauty, light. Not her.

Gaze fell to the ground, as she whispered an omen to the ghost that laid in burial beneath. Please do not haunt me this day, please stay in your grave. I will face you...soon. But not today.

She turned and walked inside. Darron was there, and at least his presence gave her strength. He was as a father might be to her--for he was present at her birth into this new skin. He freed her from her mother, who was not a person but a cylinder, hard and cold. And for that, she would attempt to be what he wanted. A Jedi.

Looking to the others who filtered in, she found one more comfort in the planet's deafening darkness: Ben. At least he was there, for though she still did not trust him...maybe she could try. And that was more than she could say about most.

She did not speak yet, for she focused on controlling the unrest, blocking her emotions. She wished others not to know of how she felt, and knew that her bonds with the Force was the one thing she could draw upon to block out all else. Nodding to Darron, she awaited to hear what Jedi should say at these things.

The Eternal Queen
Feena was waiting at a window enjoying this beautiful wonder. Once again, she found herself on the council. Once again, she was going to enjoy the game that was politics. Oh, so much fun! She lightly flattened her long burgundy robes, and pushed a peice of strat black hair back into the intricate braid winding around her head as a fresh breeze blew into the room.
This was quite a pretty world. Feena wasn't used to pretty worlds. not like this. She spent her days in cities, with the lights being so bright one could never see the stars. Oh, sure, she liked to visit these places. maybe take a vacation here now and again, but to stay somewhere like this for more than a few days tops? She'd never really thought about it.

A door opened somewhere and the GrandMaster walked in. She smiled and dipped into a low respectful bow. A very well practiced bow. She practiced everything. The way she spoke, the way she held herself, the way she walked. It was important. People noticed the little things.

Sitting in his chair, Ben smiled big, it was the first time the Jedi Council was all meeting and he was extremely proud that they had come this far. Not too long ago it had just been himself and Teferi, two long Jedi, with a dream of one day reforming the Jedi Order. Now, here they were, a Jedi Council all meeting together to discuss the future of the Jedi. He could not believe how much they had flourished, how far they had come, and his only regret was that Tef was not here to enjoy it with him. He knew he was looking down and was proud of what his sacrifice had accomplished.

The Council that had been assembled by Darron was one that Ben was quite proud of. Darron was a great leader, a Grandmaster that any Jedi throughout all of history would be proud of, he was someone that Ben truly believed in. Darron had become a close friend to Ben since they had started working together. He trusted Darron and he hoped that Darron trusted him. He did make him the second in charge of the Jedi, so he was sure that was a sign of faith, a sign that Darron also believed in him.

The other three Ben knew a little bit about. Sky was someone he had met right here on Tython and he had taken a rather unique interest in her. She was haunted by a past that was not even hers to worry about and he wanted to help her figure out things in her life. He did not know how to go about it without being intrusive or offensive, but he planned on finding a way, he would not give up so easily.

The other two he knew less about. He knew they were masters and they were well respected, so Ben would pay them the respect they deserved, they were his fellow council members now. As Darron entered the room, Ben stood and paid the respects the Grandmaster was deserving of, he bowed slightly before taking his seat again. Ah, it was a comfortable seat, Ben enjoyed it. "Doing very well," Ben said as Darron took his seat. "Seeing the Council rebuilt was a dream of mine and Teferi's not too long ago. Seeing all of you here, now, it is amazing. I only wish he could be here to see it."

Never in a million years did she ever think that she would be standing here today a member of the Jedi Council. She tended to be outspoken and opinionated at times which not everyone appreciated. Kalia couldn't help it, she was passionate when it came to what she believed in. Luckily for her she knew how to express herself in an appropriate manner. Kalia was shocked that she was chosen but honored to be apart of the new Jedi Council. In this room the future of the Jedi Order would be decided. It was a huge responsibility that she didn't take lightly.

Her hand lightly ran across the back of her council chair before taking a seat in it. Kalia noted that it was comfy perhaps even more comfy than her bed which was a good thing as she reckoned that she would be spending a lot of time in it. She didn't know much about her fellow Council members except that they were respectable Jedi Master. She looked forward to getting to know and working with them. Kalia knew Darron as the great leader and GrandMaster he was. He was everything anyone could ever ask for in a leader and more. He continued to amaze and forming a council again was just one of those ways. Once the GrandMaster entered Kalia stood up from her seat and respectfully bowed before taking her seat again.

Darron bowed to them all before quickly getting to his seat at the center of the Council. There was work to be done and he motioned for them all to be seated as well.

"Alright, I would bore you with pleasantries. We still have one more member to decide upon, our Knight Representative. I submit Jaxton Ravos' name to be considered for the position. Should anyone else be worthy please submit their name, or vote for Jaxton. It makes no difference to me, we need to complete our council before we get to the real business at hand."

"I'll second Jaxton."

Though she was unfamiliar with many of the Knights, she knew that Jaxton was the eldest of them. She also had heard of his triumphs as a warrior, and in that she respected him.

The Eternal Queen
Feena took a seat when the GrandMaster motioned for them to do so. Now was the talk about the Knight to represent. She had thought it would be easy enough. She already had someone in mind, after all, but hearing the suggestion, she began to re-think that. Jaxton had a reputation. Although she'd never met him in person, she did trust the Grandmasters judge of character.
"Jaxton would be a welcome choice," she agreed, the second her brain came to the most logical choice.

"I agree Jaxton would be a good choice." She knew many of the Knights and many stood out in her mind but of course those were her students. She knew of their accomplishments because of that reason. Jaxton's reputation preceded him which made him the perfect addition to the council. Kalia couldn't have thought of anyone better.

Ben nodded his head when he brought up Jaxton. He was a good warrior, a smart and capable Jedi, Ben had seen first hand how well he could adapt to battle. Being a large Zeltron, one would not think of him as particularly smart, but it was quite the opposite. With the proper teaching and the right guidance he could become a Master Jedi in no time at all. In these days, they needed all the help they could get, so Ben fully supported the decision.

"I concur with the rest, Jaxton would make a fine addition."

"Then we are agreement. Jaxton it is."

Darron then went to pressed a few buttons on the panel on his chair. Going through a manifest before him, he thumbed through some holos until he found Jaxton. Security clearance was immediately granted for the massive, Zeltron Knight. Once that was done, he messaged the very Knight he had just cleared.

"Jaxton, you are now our Knight Representative on the Council. Please come up here and join us, you voice is needed brother."

Turning to all those assembled, he spoke once more.

"Now, I would like each of you to bring your concerns forward or relevant issues. Then we will discuss them, vote, and then I will bring forth my concerns."

Jaxton Ravos

Mindwalker of the Outer Rim
Jaxton had begun the day with a workout, getting a nice hike in and then returning to the temple, gotten to the gym and pumped out some weights. Afterwards he had went to the temple training room, as he had managed to few training droids, and got a few hours of saber training in. Once he had completed his morning routine he got some food and then began to head over to his quarters to get in a shower before going into meditation and study. Before he managed to get there however, his com began to go off and Jaxton answered it.

"Jaxton, you are now our Knight Representative on the Council. Please come up here and join us, you voice is needed brother." Jaxton heard the voice of the Grandmaster speak.

Fierfek. He cursed to himself. He wasn't prepared for this. Wasn't prepared to be a "Representative". Hell, even if he was qualified he was in shorts, a compression shirt, and covered in sweat. Still, it was a summons from the Grandmaster. He couldn't very well deny it. So Jaxton made his way to the top the top of the Temple Tower. Security gave him no hassles, and it didn't take him very long to get there. He saw the door into the council room, took a few quick breaths, one deep breath, then exhaled and opened the door.

"I apologize for my lack of dress masters. Had I known I was to be meeting with you all today I would have come more prepared." Jaxton said as he entered the room, taking a small courteous bow as walked in and found a place to stand.

Ben, for a moment, was proud for Jaxton. He had trained with him, fought with him, he was one of the first Jedi who he had bonded with since the Order had been rebuilt. Though their relationship was still young, he believed in the Zeltron, and he hoped that their friendship would continue to prosper. For the first time in a long time he realized that things were getting back to normal. The Jedi were Jedi again, they were active, they were accomplishing things and Ben could not be more happy.

"Welcome to the Council Representative Ravos," Ben said with a slight bow of his head, smiling brightly, letting him know he was welcome. "Do not worry about your clothing. We did not elect you Knight Representative based on your choice of style." Nodding his head as Jaxton found a spot to stand, Ben returned his attention to Darron, who opened the floor with suggestions and questions.

"The Jedi Shadows, what are your plans with them? As I understand it, Knight Selena Halcyon will be heading them up, a bold Jedi she is and a fine choice, I think. But, I must ask, how much leniency will we be giving them? I am in no way doubting her skills, but she will be leading a team of Jedi on missions to collect powerful artifacts, Sith and Jedi alike. Is she ready to undertake such an operation considering her rank?" It was more of a reassurance than anything. He knew little to nothing about the girl, all he knew was she was a Knight, and taking charge of something like that was a big responsibility. Ben did not want any deaths to come from this.

It wasn't a big concern as she never thought it would pass but it warranted being brought up."I know the bill in the Senate will never pass. There are too many against it but still it's worth noting. What do we do if it's passed? Would we register? It doesn't seem like we would have a choice at that point? I mean there is always a choice but. I rather be prepared than shocked if it turned out to be a yes." It was a little premature but Kalia rather be prepared than not for when or if the time came.

Sky Kerberos

Former Sith Conqueror
"Yes, the bill is something we should be concerned about. Even if it is not passed, it will be a precursor for something else for I doubt it would end there."

"What are our actions that we are taking against fallen Jedi?" She asked Darron, so she could be aware of how that would be handled.

Darron motioned to one of the empty seats, "Jaxton, that chair is yours please sit. You are officially on here and have a vote. No need to act like we're all your superiors. Your voice matters my friend, and I know you will do your best on this Council."

Seeing that the discussion was moving forward, he activated the switch for the holo-pad to the last seat. The Supreme Chancellor was now linked into the meeting, and the Council could begin. A small smile crossed his face, as that one small act had fully linked them back to the Jedi Orders of old. Well not quite, we are letting the Government in, and that's a good thing. Personal thoughts aside, the GrandMaster of the Order began getting down to business in earnest. Turning to his best friend, Ben Watts. He began to brief them all.

"With Selena, it's not a question of rank. She has a knack for ferreting out darkness, and I think her talents can be used in a peaceful manner. I've read reports on her, and I know she has a disdain for Sith. This path allows her focus and direction, while helping save the galaxy from Force knows what kinds of trouble. She knows that should she need aide to contact us immediately, and there are many Knights working in tandem with her. I trust her, and you all should as well. I will be bringing her for a talk with us all soon, and I'm sure she will help assure the rest of you as I have been."

Turning to Kalia, the Jedi paused before embarking on his next words.

"That registry will not pass, I think it is a line that is too far. We are fully under the government, and Force knows what could happen with a list like that. Each of us are protectors of the peace, and we have all agreed to the massive legal checks and balances that come with such power. The Supreme Chancellor herself is here, and I see no reason to not be honest. You know where Tython is, should our Order grow out of control you could destroy us easily. I see no reason to discriminate or harass us to that degree. The intent of our fully integrating with the government was to show we want to blend with society and do our jobs. Not elevate ourselves like pompous deities. "

Another pause as he cleared his throat. "I love the Republic, and if the bill is passed I will continue to serve her. I just won't trust what can be done with that list, or the message it sends."

Turning to Sky, he smiled at his former adversary. "We will apprehend them, and they will be tried before all bodies of government that they have broken laws in. So while we will work to rehabilitate them if they wish it, they will be held accountable for their former deeds. I know the intent is to help, but we are held to a higher standard given our talents in the Force and the moral ground we tread. I would expect the same punishment for myself if I ever got out of line, or for any of you for that manner."

The GrandMaster took a drink of water before turning to the Chancellor's chair.

"What are your thoughts My'lady?" Darron looked around the room before finishing.

"Anymore concerns? Jaxton you have a voice, and no one should feel the need to agree with me. This is a Council, and every opinion carries weight. Tell me what each of you would do as well."

@[member="Ben Watts"] @[member="Sky Kerberos"] @[member="Feena"] @[member="Kalia Vondiranach"] @[member="Jaxton Ravos"] @[member="Aurelia Saelari"]

The registry wouldn't pass but still it would put thoughts in people's heads as Sky had mentioned. She knew that much to be true and some people had irrational fears. Luckily those people weren't in power or so she thought. She nodded in agreement with his last statement. If the Registry did pass she would continue to serve the Republic she loved. Nothing would change except for her name on a list which could be used against her or even her family. She was getting ahead of herself though as the bill couldn't possibly pass. There were much more important things to worry about than what the Jedi were doing and keeping track of them. "I'll always serve the Republic even if they do make me register. I'm with Sky though this could stir up other ideas in the Senate even if it doesn't pass puts the idea in their head. I think that's what worries me most of all."

"What would we consider a fallen Jedi?" If someone just up and left the order they could be thought of as fallen. They weren't with the order anymore and it was a slippery slope from there.

Jaxton Ravos

Mindwalker of the Outer Rim
Jaxton hesitantly went to the seat Master Wraith pointed out to him, and listened as the Grandmaster as he spoke of the penalties for leaving the Order, and his opinions on the bill. Jaxton noted that while the Grandmaster did not like the bill, he wouldn't find it's action being something that made the Jedi leave the Republic. It was good that he thought they would stay if the bill was passed, Jaxton didn't think the bill would pass of course but if it didn't a Jedi-Republic schism was the last thing either party needed. Then Master Vondiranach spoke up, stating she'd continue to support the Republic as well. Then she asked the big question, in short 'What is a fallen Jedi?'. Jaxton didn't really know. He only knew Jedi and Sith, he hadn't experience anybody in-between yet.

"I'm not sure it matters so much what we consider a fallen Jedi." Jaxton spoke up, his voice was firm, but not as firm as it usually was, with just a hint of timidity that would've been recognized by any who knew him. "But what the people think is a fallen Jedi. I'll be honest, as a guy who hasn't been in the Order that long, you guys scare me."Jaxton continued, his tone getting firmer, but not accusatory or rageful, merely more confident.

"It's not like I'm afraid of any of you specifically, but the sheer power some of you guys have. For seven years I was professional athlete, one of the best, and how fast a Jedi can move, react, and strengthen themselves is simply astonishing to me. And that's only applications of the Force to oneself. To the average man the skills and power of a Jedi would probably seem supernatural. I can understand somebody wanting to keep track of that. If the people of the Republic understand what we are and why we do what we do, they'll understand that fallen Jedi are an oddity, and that more people will come to defend the Republic though the Order than attack it."

The Eternal Queen
Feena had been relatively silent during the discussion. She had much to say, but she had learned well when it was best to hold her tongue. When it came to the proposal in the Senate about fallen jedi, she knew well enough to remain calm and (at least outwardly) indifferent- for now. until the question was presented.
What is a fallen jedi?
She listened to the newest member, Jaxton with a little smile. She nodded in response and took the

"It is not simple to answer your question, Master Vondiranach. It isn't a black and white issue. It is not easy to remain faithful to the jedi Order at times. We can pretend that we are all perfect and that we all have never once considered straying. We can all pretend that the Order is perfect and that there was never a moment that made us question the true nature of things. We can pretend.
But I am sure we all know that if we were to claim these things, we would be lying. It is only natural to question and seek our own answers, especially for those young and still inexperienced in life. Mistakes are made. Sometimes we are unable to understand the consequences of our mistakes until it is too late. But that does not mean that second chances are beyond us. I myself once made one such mistake when I was young, very young. It was an experience that shaped me and made me better, not worse. More loyal. Wiser.
In short, I do not believe in 'fallen Jedi'. I believe that there are Jedi who are lost, who desperately need guidance."
She folded her hands neatly in her lap, still smiling.
"I do not see this bill passing, however; I do not think that is it's purpose at all. I do not think it was ever meant to pass. Only a fool would propose something like this and honesty believe it to be seen as lawful. No. I believe this is just a clever distraction to something else. A prelude. As master Vondiranach said, the idea is in their head now. The seed in planted."

Sky Kerberos

Former Sith Conqueror
"I understand what you are saying, Feena, however there is a difference between helping someone find their path and getting in the way of justice. If a Sith, whether they are a fallen Jedi or not, has committed a crime then they are not beyond the law. And most who call themselves Sith or even Dark Jedi have committed crimes."

"You can still try to help them, I am not saying that is wrong. If they have darkness, then either help them try to remove it or maybe simply to understand it. But once they have killed or sought to destroy peace, then you must help them from behind the prison bars." Perhaps she sounded harsh, for she knew too well of her own darkness. Ben even was helping her with it...but if ever she stepped too far from the line, and committed any crimes, she would expect to pay for those to the full extent of the law.

That had to be black and white, for you cannot befriend a killer, expecting to look past their wrongs in order to find friendship. They were Jedi, and in that they had a commitment to not look past another's felonies but to act on them.
