The Jedi Council. (IC, invite only)

Sky Kerberos

Former Sith Conqueror
She waited for Darron to speak, knowing that much had been happening. The senate, the elections, the heightened possibly of war between Sith and Jedi now that the Onni threat had been destroyed. And of course, now knowing her past. What had happened, how she had been lied to. Would her new knowledge affect her seat on this council, she wondered, feeling like an outcast among those she should trust.

Kat.. did not want to be here. She had turned down a Council position more times than she could count but @[member="Darron Wraith"] was a very persuasive man. He simply didn't want to take no for an answer. She was sitting in the corner waiting for the meeting to start. She felt completely out of place. Her position with the Jedi Investigators kept her undercover, which also kept her out of the loop. Add in the fact that Katarine hated politics and she didn't very well see the point in her being here.

But she would endure it... for now.

"Everyone please be seated."

The GrandMaster remained standing as he looked around the room at the Jedi Masters presently assembled. It was an eclectic group to be sure, but a powerful one. Not every voice in here would agree with him, and that was precisely the intent. While he was the unquestioned leader, all Jedi had a say.

"First off, I'd like to thank you all for coming. There are some new faces, some of you got promoted." Darron acknowledged Jaxton's promotion to Master, and Rosa being the Knight Representative. "I"d also like to make it known that should anything happen to me. As GrandMaster I have the right to appoint my own successor. I name Ben Watts as my successor should I fall in battle or am not fit for this title. Consider him second in command if you will. One last order of business to handle before I can began my briefing."

The Jedi Master motioned for @[member="Mak Manto"] to come forward as Darron went to sit.

"This is Jedi Master Mak Manto, I'd like to put him on the Council. What say you all? He'd be the last seat."

Katarine had no objections to Mak being on the Council. He was a good Jedi, even when he went against the grain at times.

She did have objections to HER being here. Her deep green eyes caught Darrons for a moment. Perhaps he would listen to reason this time.

Hearing Darron speak, Mak slithered to the center of the room, looking around. The few he didn't know, he nodded, but the others, such as Kalia and Feena and Kat, he gave a lingering gaze. He knew them well, but there was one who probably had one of the biggest impacts on his life.

Sky Kerberos...

She and Mak had once been great enemies, dueling each other to the end. Her love for Brayden Xykarn had interfered in many ways with Mak's missions and life, and there had been a time when all three had been against one another. He wasn't sure what to say to her. So much was in the past for them.

"I'm honored to hear that I am being looked at for a spot on this Council. For those of you who don't know, I am Mak Manto. About a month ago, I was released from cryostasis after being placed in by the Jedi Council many centuries ago for trying to stop the Sith. Before my time on Naboo, I was also a part of the Old Order, serving as a Jedi Master back than, and also as a Senior General in the Clone Wars."

"Despite my being 205, and not counting the many centuries I've been in stasis, I am biologically around 35 due to the Force interfering in some way I can't explain. As such, I am fit and ready to serve the Order again."

Feena was silent as she observed Mak. Oh yes. She knew him. They... worked together well, which was curious. But they did have a clash of ideals. Mak was extreme... Extreme could be dangerous. It was a risk.
"I vote in favor of his appointment on the council," she spoke out reluctantly, raising a hand for the Grandmaster to see.

Kalia knew Mak very well from past missions they had been on together when they had been younger. He would be an interesting addition to the council for sure. If she wasn't mistaken he had different views than most members on the council. Very different views that he was very vocal about and this could be an issue as she could be super vocal as well about what she was passionate about. "I agree with the appointment as well," she nodded.

Hearing that he had been appointed as the successor of the Grandmaster title was humbling to Ben. He was not sure if he was worthy of the title, but he would accept it no less, he was not one to turn down a role. Hearing Mak speak, he had no objections to him being on the Council, if Darron thought it was a good idea then Ben would not object to it. "As long as you feel you are capable of being a member on this Council after being in cryostasis for so many years then I certainly have no problem with you being a member of our Council. I vote in favor."

Pieces of her past had been coming back to her since meeting with Avicus. And as she looked at Mak, a flood of memories returned. They were rivals. He was the Jedi who tried to destroy her plans of conquering Naboo. She had used a relationship with a Jedi Master, Brayden, and had surpassed Naboo secure due to his weakness. Deceit, lies, and manipulation had marked her past, all in order to gain rule and power. To conquer all.

Mak was the main Jedi who stood strong against her, knowing that evil laid in her through and through.

No. Not her...the one she had been cloned from. She had to try to believe that she was not that person, despite her DNA claiming otherwise.

She smiled at Ben, a silent congratulations for him being named second, trying to get her mind off of the worm. Would Mak try to see through her motives? Would he believe she had changed.

"I vote in favor," she said, for all she could do was try to convince him otherwise, and see if he took the bait of peace.

Hearing all of the voices of acceptance, the last one surprised him, seeing it came from Sky. Yet, the time wasn't now to find out how she had survived. Bowing, Mak spoke to the body before taking his seat.

"I thank you for your votes of confidence. With all of my strength and integrity, I will not let the Jedi Order down."

Slithering to the seat, his tail wrapped around the edges of the chair as he settled himself in.

[OOC: So I totally forgot about this thread o_O Apologies :D]

Rosa voted in favour of Mak's appointment watching as he slithered back into his seat she looked at the others around her. Sky, Darron and Mak had all lived another life frozen in time or cloned they had all been brought back to hear and now. Amidst the chaos they had risen was that fro better or worse?

Their knowledge was vital to their survival but we're they flexible and as ready to shift with the times as those who had been born and raised amidst Chaos?
