The Jedi Council. (IC, invite only)

"To me a fallen Jedi is a kindred spirit we can help, they are only in trouble the moment they break the law. I fully understand how hard the code is to keep, and many struggle under it's burden. Most fail to see it is an ideal to strive towards, not the law for which we all should live our lives by."

Turning to Jaxton he nodded in agreement with the Zeltron.

"Yes, I fully agree that our power is a great and terrible thing. It is why I allowed the Order to be under the control of the Senate, the people of the galaxy need to know we have standards. Too many confuse us with the Sith, and we should let them know there are checks and balances to great power. I fully think it is a good thing for us to have these rules to follow, because without them. We are no better than those we face off against in the eyes of the public."

The GrandMaster just sat and listened to Feena and Sky exchange opinions for a moment.

"Sky, I will say you are taking a hardliner stance here. Feena, you may be a little more forgiving due to your husband being a rogue Force-user. I say we tread a middle ground, we work with all. But if they break the law or hurt innocents they must be brought to justice. Exceptions cannot be made, I have tried to help Spencer Jacobs myself in secret. Even though she will face justice one day she needs to be saved, and one day maybe get a bit of redemption."

Looking to all he finished.

"What do we do with this approaching war the Sith seem to be trying to incite?"

A Few Weeks Later....

His reflection against the window was faint, yet he could see the lines of worry on his face. No, Darron Wraith wasn't old, but the stress of his position was wearing on him today. The reports were finally coming in on the final casualty reports from the final battle with Omni, and they were staggering. Many of his best Jedi were far and away helping to repair the devastation, and the one's who weren't were on missions. The few that were on Tython were the Council Masters and a few Knights, and that wouldn't last long after this meeting today. Even the GrandMaster himself had a few missions to go on, so the Order would be as stretched as it had ever been.

I get the job and this is what happens, the Galaxy is so kind to transition...

Standing at parade rest, blue eyes simply watched the storm outside. It seemed as if the weather was reflecting the state of the galaxy today on the Jedi world. The clouds lit up as lightning struck near the temple, and thunder made the walls vibrate. His prosthetic hand moved over his cream colored tunic before adjusting his brown robe for a second. Taking a moment to collect his thoughts, the head of the Jedi made his way to his seat in the center of the circle.

Once seated, he centered himself in the Force and awaited the other Master's arrival so they could see about this boy...

The Eternal Queen
"Grandmaster?"
Her voice was weary, as if she had just been awoken from a deep sleep. Truth was, she hadn't slept in a few days. After Omni, everyone was busy. The Galaxy was a bit of a mess right now. Well... a 'mess' was a rather light way to put it.
It was a disaster.

Cai walked into the council chambers and stood before Darron Wraith, the Jedi Grandmaster. He squeezed the ten year old up against him. He had cleaned the boy up as best he could, keeping the bandages on his face to act as a muzzle. In many ways the child was like an abused pet, lashing out at whatever he could. Cai was sure however that he could be rehabilitated, and given the boys latent talent with the Force...

He awaited the judgement of the council.

It seemed like Jedi in ages past had sat in the Council chambers and deliberated on whether or not they should allow a boy with untrained force powers to become a member of their Order. As far as Ben remembered, it didn't work out to well for them, so as he walked into the council room and spotted the boy, his face bandaged, his power raw and emanating from his very being. Behind him was Jedi Knight Cai, who would be met with a very distraught look from Ben, who did not like this at all. But he also did not like the idea of the boy falling into Sith hands.

Approaching the two, Ben examined the boy, feeling him out not only by glancing him over but prodding him with the force. This would be no easy task for Cai, this would be no easy task for Ben, training this boy properly would take time and dedication. Years of patience and persistence would go into the training, but it could be done, but if done wrong it could be disastrous. "So this collar is the only thing stopping you from attacking every one of us in this room?" Ben addressed the boy directly, sounding rude, but needing answers. "Cai, I trust you, you are a strong and capable Jedi. So when I ask you this I do not wish for you to be insulted, but do you think you are ready for such a task? To train someone with so much power?"

Kalia could only watch and listen for the time being as the boy was brought in. It was no easy decision on whether the boy should be trained or not. Cai had the best of intentions of wanting to rehabilitate the boy instead of just tossing him to the side. It wouldn't be easy in fact it would be down right dangerous to train someone like this with or without the collar.

Sliding back in her seat she crossed her legs awaiting some sort of answers to the current questions on the table. Her mind was nowhere near made up. She could see the pros and cons in each of the choices. She believed in the end the Force would guide them to the answer.

Jaxton Ravos

Mindwalker of the Outer Rim
Jaxton sat at his seat in the Council, as Knight-Representative. He wondered whether or not he was qualified for his position when he took it a few mere weeks ago, but the events which poured afterwards assured him he wasn't. In the past few weeks he had become a servant of the droid Omni, fought his Grandmaster and in the process nearly gave into the darkside. He said a lot of things he regretted and had accumulated a good bit of wounds in the meantime. So now he wore a large, baggy robe to hide the results of his battle with the Grandmaster.

Even though he knew he was not ready for his role he took it anyways, for he knew that the Jedi more qualified did not deserve the burden and the Knights of the Order did not deserve to be represented by someone Jaxton's lesser. So he waited here for the arrival of an Echani Jedi, Knight Sanis, and to finally meet the apprentice that seemed to be the source of debate amongst the higher-ups of the Order. The Echani entered the Council chambers with the boy clung closely to his side. He noted the bandages on the boys face, and the collar on his neck. He looked more like a beaten dog than a boy, but Jaxton could feel the power the boy held.

"So this collar is the only thing stopping you from attacking every one of us in this room? Cai, I trust you, you are a strong and capable Jedi. So when I ask you this I do not wish for you to be insulted, but do you think you are ready for such a task? To train someone with so much power?" Ben spoke first at the boy directly, then to his discoverer.

"The power of the boy doesn't, or shouldn't, matter when it comes to his training." Jaxton said to Master Watts and the rest of the Council. "He does not need to be taught power, but control of himself, his emotions. I regret not knowing Knight Sanis, but from what I have read on his file I know he has served for both the Republic and the Echani, and now works to thwart the efforts of the Hutts, SSS, Syndicate, and other such rabble. I do not doubt Knight Sanis's dedication or work, but I don't believe the environment of his work is a good place to bring a child, much less teach him emotional control. I think his trainer should have a more stable occupation, say a healer or politician, and show him that using the Force does not mean fighting in battle."

"However, the matter of the boy's training in all honesty is a secondary topic in my opinion. My greatest concern is the boy's collar. I can feel the power the boy has, as can you all, but that is no excuse to condone slavery in any form. As Jedi we are supposed to work towards freedom and equality. What example would we set to the rest of the Order if we keep the collar on the boy? That freedom is only given if we're not afraid of you? Not to mention the legal issues this would bring with the Republic. The issue of the collar needs to be addressed before we discuss who will train the boy."

Voices...all he heard was voices in his head as Cai brought him to a strange building. 'You are an abomination to humanity: You will never, be one of us: You were created to obey and to destroy: You are incapable of love: You are a dog and will be treated as such: Don't mess this up 13: What hell hole did you crawl out of?: SUBJECT 13 HAS ESCAPED: You monster!' The voices said all at once. Only confusing 13 and making his head pound as if there were a heartbeat in the center of his brain. Voices of his past back to mock him on his judgment day. 13's wounds were healed and he was given a new set of cloths. A strange shirt and some shorts that came past his knees. His bandages were left as they were to prevent him from biting anyone on their way to the place called the council. At first when Cai brought him into the building 13 had no real feelings about the place. However when he finally reached the room he came face to face with probably some of the scariest people he had ever met. Cai kept 13 close and as he stood there blankly in the language of submission as most dogs did 13 met the gaze each of them and grew more and more nervous with each passing moment.

In the midst of his paranoia 13 heard footsteps a while away. He swung his head around to see a man looking him over with a look of almost disgust. 13's expression saddened under his bandages when he prodded at his mind. However his prodding was revoked accidentally when he asked about 13's collar. Mentioning the only thing keeping him human mad 13 more nervous and he could feel his stomach twist with nerves. But...regardless of how he felt 13 was created to obey. He had to comply to the best of his ability or only suffering would be unleashed upon him.

"Yes...my creators designed me...to comply to any order given...the collar is designed to turn me into a weapon." 13 said, quoting the words of his creators. Suddenly the man with red skin spoke up and talked about training. Training for what? And control of his emotions? 13 was designed to be a detached dog, and they created just that. 13 was unfamiliar with what emotions even were. But all that was blocked out when he too mentioned the collar and the issues it would bring up. 13's eyes went wide and he took a step back and hid behind Cai. Talking his hand with his tiny ones and squeezing hard. He didn't like the collar but he didn't want it removed. If they saw that be would become...they might hurt him. Or kill him. The stress on the child grew and he started to Hyperventilate rapidly, his chest going up and down very quickly as fear penetrated his mind. Triggering the force accidentally out of a 'self defense' things around the room like cups and books started to float from their positions. Some of the paintings on the wall bent to 13 as if he were a high power magnet and the rails next to him started to bend noticeably as tears streamed from his eyes. "Dont take my collar..." He whispered. Freaking out and trying to hide himself from the others. Everything in their body language only struck fear into his heart. And fear triggered his unstable abilities.

I don't like this. Ben spoke to @[member="Darron Wraith"] through the force, looking around as his uncontrollable power began to cut loose and lift books and other small objects. He had no control over it, he was created as a weapon, complete with a collar that seemingly controlled him. But how much control did it have? It seemed as if his prowess with the force was leaking past the collar, how long until he surpassed the capabilities of the collar? How long until he was out of control and right in the center of the Jedi. The fact that he was there, now, was worrisome to Ben. He was not afraid of the boy, but rather, what the boy could do given the time to train and control it.

Standing in front of the boy still, Ben did not flinch as everything in the room went wonky, tears streaming from the boys eyes. He was lost, confused, this was more than he could handle and it was obvious. For a moment he cursed the people who did this to the boy, what was the end game? Emitting a powerful air of calm into the room, he tried to soothe the boys fears with the force, though he was not sure how well it would work. "Do not be frightened. You are among friends." Ben spoke softly, not talking down to him, but trying to speak calmly and without a sign of anger or aggression in his voice. Though not many people had ever heard anger or aggression in his voice, even on the battlefield. "Relax and breathe, we are not here to hurt you nor judge your fate, we are here to help. If you want the collar to remain on, we will not take it off."

"Do you feel the boys power emanating, Jaxton? That is with the collar on. I do not condone it, it is inhumane, but without it he has no control. The only way he will be able to take the collar off is through his training, he must first control what he already cannot before he can think about trying to tame the power without the collar." Ben did not dare reach out and try to prod the boys mind, he was unstable, and if a threat was detected then he feared what would come of it.

Small objects floated around the room as the boy teared up. He was a wreck, plain and simple. A small shiver ran up his spine as he thought for a moment that a simple twist of fate could have just as easily allowed this boy to have been found by the Sith instead of head.

Cai could feel the unease dripping off the boy like sweat. He should have foreseen this, in all honesty. It made sense when one applied a bit of thought to the equation. Although he wasn't the greatest Empath in the galaxy, far from it, his family did have the gift. Taking in a deep breath he squeezed the boy reassuringly trying to comfort him. "No one will hurt you while I'm here," he said in a hushed whisper. It was then he looked back the council. "With time," Cai began looking over at the group, "I am certain that we will be able to remove this collar. Time, patience, and understanding."

Now he addressed the council more confidently. "It is our duty to take this wayward youth in. I've been asked if I am ready to bear the burden of responsibility for this child, and it's been suggested that we find someone else with a different lifestyle. I propose that it is my moral obligation to this child, whose life I have saved, to care for him. It is as much my duty to care for him as it is my duty to obey this council and the laws of the Republic."

The Eternal Queen
Feena was silent as they brought the boy in. So small. So pale. He reminded her of eldest son. He couldn't have been any older than him. It brought out that maternal instinct in her. And with that muzzle of bandages... She wanted to step across the room and hug him, sing to him, pat his back.
And for all this discussion about what to do with him, as if he wasn't there, as if he wasn't a person at all. Yes, he was powerful. But he was still a child.
"Don't touch his collar until he wants you to," she spoke up from her seat, "If it is keeping him under control, that is no matter. What really matters is how he feels about it. Well? Little one? What do you want? Do you want our help?"
Her locked her large silver eyes on the boy, speaking directly to him. She folded her hands in her lap, smiling.

Darron had sat quietly the whole time, listening to everyone. Many good points were being said, and he loved the discussion. His initial fear had been that the Council would have feared the boy, and simply cast him out. It seemed most of them however were seeing reason, and wanted to keep the child around. Good, this is going better than I could have imagined. A small smile, barely noticeable crept up his blank face. This boy before him was powerful, and could be quite the Jedi one day. If, he received proper training. One of the Masters on the Council would have made an adequate choice, but the GrandMaster believed the best choice was Cai.

Finally breaking his silence, he addressed the Knight before them.

"Should this boy wish it, despite the dangers. I approve your request to train him. I"ll let the rest of the council have their say though." Blue eyes settled on the child, and he took a much gentler tone with him. "Do you want our help child? If not, we won't keep you against your will. You are no slave or prisoner of the Jedi, we merely wish to help you."

13 felt as if he were just paperwork needing to be filed. The man in front of him seemed to be cautious of 13 even being there. 13 could smell his concern. As could he most of the others in the room. The man asked 13 to relax and that he was a friend. However 13 considered him a liar just like all the rest who said they were his friend. The last ones who said that threw him into a cage and made him a slave...he only had one true friend and she left him. The man mentioned his power and 13 shrunk into more of a solitary bubble. The air he felt seemed to change around him but his nervousness only rejected it.

After the man spoke 13 noticed a women speak up from her chair. She said something about his collar and mentioning what he wanted. Actually taking into account that he was just as much human as everyone else even though he was half animal. He still had his feelings even though he wasn't allowed to show them. Or anyone else. She asked how he felt about it and 13 kept his head low when he replied. "I don't want to be hurt anymore..." He replied simply. Cai Sanis squeezed his hand reassuringly and the boy nodded.

Suddenly the man in the center of the room spoke up now. Speaking to Cai first and then 13. Asking him if he wanted their help, that he was no slave anymore. Unsure on what to say to avoid being hit he simply nodded slowly. Looking around at the others still. He felt slightly calmer now and many of the objects floating around were descending. His tail started to twitch around his waist uncomfortably and he frowned.

"We arn't going to hurt you here. Your safe," Kalia spoke up as she could see 13 was scared of them and rightly show. Honestly they were a pretty scary looking group standing around poking him and asking him questions. It was like he was being tested and viewed. He probably still felt a little like a slave still here the way they looked at him here judging him in their chairs. This wasn't the most comfortable of situations to be in for anybody actually.

"I have no quarrels with training the boy. I'll actually be interested in knowing how it progresses." She hoped in time the young boy would become more comfortable here in his new home and be happier maybe. The was free now not a slave she hoped he could adapt and it wasn't too late. It saddened her that someone so young had gone though something so horrible.

Some time later....

"Jedi Masters, the council must assemble. Events are unfolding, and our assembled minds are needed for this turn of events."

Darron paced in the center of the council chamber, the weather outside matching what was going on galactically. There was one matter to be taken care of, a few announcements to be made. That would only take a few seconds though, as he introduced the new members. His brow furrowed further than usual, and his expression seemed much more grim than usual. For their troubles were with the Sith and with the Republic.....

"I'm glad you are all here," he said as he motioned them all to sit. "There is much that needs to be discussed."

Slithering in, he saw the familiar chairs that had once been used. Coming over, the tallest chair that stood straight up had been his, the same design. Running a hand over it, memories came back before he took a seat, his tail coiling around the seat.

"These are dangerous times, indeed. Too many things are happening quickly..."

The Eternal Queen
In her usual spot in the council chamber, Feena was sitting up straight and tall, waiting. Her hands in her lap played idly with the fringes of the shawl draped over shoulders. Once more she was called into the council for an important discussion and she would wait patiently to hear what this was about specifically.

It had been a long time since Rosa had been in any meeting of this sort. She wondered if Jedi Masters had the same tendency to bicker of minor details as the SIAC had. She sincerely hoped not. She cast her eyes over the masters around her emanating a calm aura as she always, patiently waiting for the meeting to begin.

Catching Darron's eye she offered him a small smile.

Jaxton sat as his seat, and saw new faces amongst the Jedi Council. One he knew, Rosa Mazhar, a pretty young knight who had caught the eye, and more, of the Grandmaster. She was a nice woman, an empath of sorts, not really meant for combat. A fine knight in his opinion. The other was an old Thisspian he hadn't heard of. Was he really old though, or was it just his Thisspian nature that made him look old? He doubted the man was a knight, simply because of his age, so Rosa must have been his replacement. He looked at his hand as he thought the word of the word "Replacement". He wore a glove, but did not put any sort of other flesh or flesh-like substance over his metal prosthetic. He wanted a reminder of what had he done on Coruscant, how he should have gotten there earlier.

"I'll save you guys a little trouble. I'd like to resign from my post as Knight-Representative do my actions on the World Devastator."

Kalia sat in her chair waiting for the meeting to start. There were a few faces here that she didn't recognize and others she did. Darron must have some really big news to discuss with all these individuals here. Sighing she folded her hands in her lap and patiently waited for things to begin.
