Ria knew two things right now, one there was a serious ringing in her ears, and second, Nate did a fly-by thing which left her wonder just where in the feth he had been during their initial operation and two, why in the kark were her ears ringing so much? "Well that's... super effective." She noted as Tilzi slammed some poor guard's face into the wall, repeatedly. "Hope he's got insurance." She quipped stepping over his body, running through the second floor of the detention center. Leaping over anything that fell in her way. Speaking of Nate, she happened upon him somewhere up here in the midst of blood, poodoo and other bodily fluids that were sent careening through the air. "Sweet twi'lekkian lekku this is even better than watching those Mando clans beat the bloody mess out of each other!" She shouted, now to be fair, Ria had seen her share of Mando fights down on the Corellian sector of Nar Shaddaa.

Bounty hunters, crusaders, protectors, whatever they claimed to be. She just leaped for joy at the sight of the carnage. She tilted her head to watch Nate have a little fun. "Cute." She noted and then seemed somewhat shocked when her gear was magically returned to her. "Right, now I get to blast things in the face! Thanks hotstuff!" She shouted down to Nate as he disappeared to presumably cause more carnage. "Right then, c'mon folks!" She shot at the lead of a guard column coming for her and her companions and presumably their legion of 'resistance' read really karked off prisoners, 'fighters.'

Just as the pretty girl with the face mentioned something about having 'company,' it seemed that 'company,' blewed the feth up. All she recalled from this point was watching body parts soar over her. "Did anyone ask for a quarter thigh? Leg?" She turned and shrugged and said, "fething abyss I'm not gonna complain, c'mon I think I see an exit down this way." Ria shouted in all her infinite wisdom because she totally knew what she was doing, she had a complete h- h- hold on things.

Oh, that's why her ears were ringing - grenade. "Explains the boom." She muttered knocking guards out with her blaster pistol, "wait where's my hat?" She wondered aloud, "hey I had a karkin' fethin'-" Oh. She watched as Gigi put it on her head. "Thank you, Gigi."

"No sweat doll." Gigi kissed Ria on the cheek and then held her blaster cannon in position. "Eat this!"

Now, now Ria remembered why she stuck by Gigi's side.

"I love you, Gigi." Ria practically purred.

"I know doll, I know." She winked and charged forward using her blaster cannon as a bludgeoning weapon. Ria's own blaster pistol and stun baton were being used, although probably not nearly as gracefully as someone like say [member="Runi Verin"] could make it look. Then again, Runi would've charred every single thing in this room by now, and then again... Runi could sock Ria in the face and she'd be completely okay with it. Shaking out of her trance she leaped over another rolling body. "Fethin' abyss Gavid!"

Gavid the lanky little whiner from earlier? Apparently, he has a dark side, as he tore into guards with his bare hands. "Why is it always the quiet ones?" Ria asked aloud and then pointed to the barred doors, barred by guards. "We gotta push through their guys first, wait-" She looked around. "Dev, you back there?!" She yelled, "yo, Dev! We need these doors opened, they're locked solid and I can't find a panel."

Ria realized they were being corralled down this hall, and the door - still locked. "Chit, we need a way to open this door, anyone got a bright idea?" She was still fairly close to the door when she heard more footsteps, but these footsteps didn't only sound ominous they sounded like things were going to go from bad to worse in about zero point six seconds. A large pair of shadows began to cloud against the floor, on top of the already arduous terrain of dead bodies, blood, and broken things like guns and armor. "Seriously, someone get this door unlocked or I've got a feelin' that whatever's behind that corner isn't here to give us biscuits."

Objective 3: Air Battle

At the black starfighter's call, Jorus arced the D'Lessio thattaway while his Arcona sensor operator isolated the bomber flight in question. Without the ion cannons, though, Jorus would have to rely on the short-range, high-impact plasma cannons, and that meant he had to get quite a bit closer. He poured on the speed, engaging the D'Lessio's SLAM, and the flat little craft sliced through the Kal'Shebbol sky a lot faster than any ship its size had a right to travel. So fast, in fact, that in short order he was mixing it up with the bombers as anti-air missiles lanced up from the surface. Between the bombers' defensive guns and near misses from friendly fire, the attack ship's shields eroded away. Shrapnel began to ping off the hull in earnest.

With a curse, Jorus peeled off to come around for another run. As his attack ship looped above the palace, he shunted some of his engine power to shields for a fresh ten percent. It wasn't enough, but it would have to be. The bombers had to die, and soon, or their falling hulks would do as much damage as their bombs might. He didn't have the tractor power to prevent that, not on that scale.

"Oy, I paid a lot of creds to know all about anatomy. Just take a look at my school debt." The good-natured medic grinned. Runi didn't scare him. Much. She already saved his arse from falling off a building.

Maybe that was just a one time thing.

His face become more serious as the drop ship touched down. Humor never left his hazel eyes, though. He ambled from his seat and fell in line with the others. Maybe not the time for small quips but the empath wanted to ease some of the tension.

"Tell you what Verin. Whoever needs a bacta patch first buys the other a drink. We got a deal?"

A blue-tinted shield shimmered into view as they disembarked. For all his goofing, Matt had their backs. And their fronts. The force bubble was very handy.

The youngster unbuckled himself from his seat as soon their feisty pilot told them that they were now landing. He couldn't wait to get off of this bucket of expensive bolts and actually do something rather than sit and and wait on some ship. To many of those in the Espada stealth ship it'd be weird to see a young man such as Lok wanting to head into battle or into a heat of action. One thing that they forgot was that he was a Mandalorians, and many Mandos of his age wanted to prove that they were combat ready to their Clan and to their fellow comrades. Of course, he obtained permission from his adopted father to join in this operation and if he came back in one piece with some battle scars, then he'd prove to Vilaz he was ready to join in raids and battles of the Mandalorians.

He placed his helmet on and looked intimidating despite his size, and with the black and red color theme he had going, even more intimidating. But those colors weren't meant to intimidate. No, they had meanings to them. Black meant justice, and red meant honoring a father. That's why he rocking out the whole color theme, but he wouldn't mind if it struck fear into his enemies and friends.

"Alright, guys," the Mandalorian said to Bryce and Runi,I got one important question. Who's the leader?" A question he he regretted to ask because usually those who asked that question were made as the leader.

864 Years Earlier...

Bits of blasted ferrocrete crunched underfoot.

The four young clone cadets flanked the green robed Jedi and Commander Kyle, the boy-Jedi's right hand clone in maintaining Republic supremacy in the Corellian Sector. A battle over Drall had left a town leveled, elements from the 432nd were sweeping through the remains looking for survivors and signs of any left-overs or hold-outs from the Separatist attack. Shelters were being set up. Rations and civil engineers being flown in, as M.A.S.H. tents were assembled to help triage those wounded who might not otherwise survive transport up to the Sentinel's surgical facilities.

As the clones moved through the debris, their mind was moving one or steps ahead.

Tactical sweep. Where could the enemy be? Where was the available ground cover? What assets were at hand?

In contrast, the Jedi boy seemed almost... sad. He paused, bending down to sift through the rubble and retrieve some small, inconsequential object. A child's toy. A doll. It was dirty, partially burned, and missing an arm.

Miraculously, a single building stood untouched. A school, it's sports fields and surroundings scorched but largely unblemished by the hail of blaster fire that had erupted around it. "We can use this as hospital and set up a provisional governance," the young Jedi was saying, talking to Commander Kyle as the four young clones trailed behind and observed. As the company was crossing along the edge of a swimming pool, the Jedi stopped and looked down into the water, then back at the clone cadets -- almost as though just remembering they were there. "You shouldn't have to deal with this. You should take the afternoon and play. There'll be war enough tomorrow," the boy remarked cryptically.

The four clones all exchanged looks, each wondering the same question. Huddling together, they tried to decipher the mysterious 'Jedi Code' as they'd come to refer to it.

"Is it a test?"
"Some kind of survival strategy development?"
"We should ask for clarification."
"3X744, you should query the Jedi."

With a nod, the four boys broke from the clone huddle. Taking a step forward, 3X744 said. "Sir, General, sir, What... do you want us to do?"

Looking back on it, Three could haven't said whether his question surprised or confused Sor-Jan. The Anzat boy looked bewildered at first, as though not understanding why his statement wouldn't have been understood.

And then he just looked sad. So very, very sad. As though he were glimpsing now that childhood didn't exist for these four children.

Stretching out a hand, the Jedi answered, "I'll show you."

And then he pushed Three into the pool.

Objective 2/4: Be All That You Can Be
Location: Sorbiss Valley (Secret Hangar)

Stop, drop, and roll.

Leaves and ground cover rustled, as the small Mandalorian boy vaulted along the ground. His shoulder blades smacked against a hard chunk of earth, as the carbine landed across his torso. A tibana gas cartridge slid into the chamber, as the bolt was charged and the weapon taken off safety. The digital counter on the DC-15 spun the numbers to read 300. Reaching down, the boy toggled the power selector, reducing the number down to 99.

There was a perimeter fence, the outside of which was patrolled by droids while he could see shadows and indistinct figures moving along the interior of the fence line. Raising his head up, the youngling looked out along the perimeter for some break in the fence or vulnerability. To be honest, he wasn't seeing a whole lot in that category. This was actually a pretty tight set-up.

If the Outback had started to kick the chit, they were probably starting to lock things down.

Any other time, he'd argue shooting was the answer. But, if he'd learned anything from observing the Jedi, it was that sometimes you needed to go in with a plan. And shoot later. As for what his plan was... well, he'd know what it was when it came to him.

The sound of something moving caught the boy's ear, glancing further back to the treeline, the youngling could see a transport of some kind approaching toward the fence.

That might actually give him an opportunity...

A champion, at last, Cronas thought as he watched the slender red haired blade witch slaughter his men. The hoard alpha was now filled with joy as he charged the enemy alpha. It was his moment, his chance to glorify his name and add a new scalp to his collection. His armored fist beat against his chest plate as he roared in excitement, and as his men fell around him he leaped to engage the frenzied warrior.

This is what is best in war, two great fighters battling for supremacy. Life and death held in one grand motion and all of one's training and sacrifice brought to bear in the ultimate test. Yes, it was joy Cronas felt, the glory of war, and the thrill of combat. In seconds the two would be joined. Locked in a final struggle for supremacy. This is what's best in life...

Ears ringing...vision faded...and she could taste copper...

Kimiko pushed herself up with a grunt, pain wracking her body. She reached up to hold her head, immediately noticing her lack of head gear, and something warm and moist coating the back of her head. Bringing a hand to her front, her eyes widened at the sight of blood, her blood, and proceeded to vomit.

Once she had regained control of her body, Kimiko began surveying the battlefield. The dead were everywhere around her. Tears began to form and she threatened to break down right here if a familiar sound had not reached her ears...

Some distance away, she saw the recognizable features of her two masters, each locked in intense battle with others. Nate was engaging two at once, a feat Kimiko felt fitting for him. Though some more distance away, she saw Bryce in combat with one of the Hoard's beasts.

Against her own body's will, she began to move, looking first for a new weapon and hopefully moving to assist both in some capacity..

*QQ-T-05 "Hushaby" Rotary Ion Cannon (retrofitted)

The lead monstrosity was finally coming into sight, it beat it's chest and roared with excitement as it approached. Now deep into his blood soaked fury BB was about to engage the beast when three of the hoard suddenly fell beside him in bolts of ionized light. The two remaining JT-1's had advanced from their position just outside the gate and into the fray, spraying those enemies that still stood with their "Hushaby" cannons. All at once BB's empathy kicked back in, he remembered how the four before them had been mercilessly gunned down by the P-Towers.

In an instant, he altered his course and with every ounce of force speed he had raced for the three remaining towers in their area. He needed to silence them, by any means necessary or he could already see how they too would be destroyed. As the first tower took aim at the transports BB launched is Shoto at it like a javelin. BB has not yet learned the art of saber throwing to do so correctly but is telekinesis was enough that he could guide the blade into it's target and watched and it sliced into the charged cowling of the tower and detonated the gun emplacement. The shock of the explosions broke his hold on the saber which he was sure was destroyed in the blast so instead of trying to retrieve it he leap for the second gun which had already begun to fire and in between shots sliced it barrel from tip to base causing it to foul and become useless.

As he approached the third only a minute or so had passed but he could already hear the shields of the transports cracking and giving way under the strain of the remaining gun. As the gun charged he knew if he paused just a moment that the gun would fire he would be free from harm but that final blast it let out could be the killing blow to the transport it targeted. So putting logic and safety behind he lept at the remaining tower and as his great saber sliced into the gun it exploded in a great ball of fire, enveloping BB and throwing him high into the air.

The specifics of how BB came to rest upon Kal'Shebbol after the explosion were fuzzy at best. But by some miracle of the force he had lived through the event. With blood stained face and broken body he was now crawling on his forearms. Struggling to stand, the hunger to fight not fully quenched and with whatever else he had left he tried to press on...

The battle was going well in the sky. As soon as Orion mentioned the bombers, his allies quickly began to blast them out of the sky. Orion now was targeting the falling debris. He was doing everything he could to keep the destroyed bombers from crashing down on the ground forces. They could do as much damage if not more by crashing. Fortunately, the enemy fighters were focused on the rest of the fleet so he could weave through the scrap and destroy the bombers.

Once the debris was incinerated, he moved back into the thick of the battle. Chasing starfighters and launching missiles into cruisers. But as he continued fighting, he could sense the distress on the surface. He could feel the pain of many as they were killed and wounded. But there was nothing he would be able to do. All he could do is keep the air forces from getting to the palace and killing everyone he was fighting to protect.

Zetha was one of 24 faces that stared back at Runi as they disembarked from the Mirror's Edge. Zetha did not want it to show on her face, but she was terrified. This was the young Togruta's first time fighting in a battle this big. They had slipped past the front lines undetected, and now they were standing in front of the castle, waiting to get the signal to enter. For about the 600th time that day, Zetha did a mental check of herself. This being pretty much war, she had to be prepared. Instead of her usual midriff-exposing outfit, she wore quite modest armour. A black skintight bodysuit protected her copper skin from chaffing. Over top that was a simple silver breastplate and back guard, paldrons, gauntlets, and boots.

Her gloved hand moved down to the left side of her hip where a narrow black rod hung. Her lightsaber, given to her a few moons ago by a man who saved her from a deadly tangle on Coruscant and took her under his wing. She knew not of his location now. They had parted ways. But she did not have time to think about him. Instead, her mind drifted to thoughts of another male companion that had taken much of her time and attention. Her gaze drifted to the direction that the front lines were.

Please, BB, please come back alive.

The D'Lessio's shields sputtered and died. The big subcapital cutter had decent armour, but a thin cross-section. Even starfighter-scale weapons would chew through eventually. And for all Jorus' work with the guns, the Gentech ships just plain beat what the Underground had managed to bring to the table. Better numbers, better discipline, better tech -- though at least they didn't have Qektoth guns too. Not that it made much difference once shields were down.

SLAM maxed out, Jorus kited half a squadron of Gentech interceptors through a cloud formation. He spun against turbulence, bringing plasma cannons to bear, and two of the little ships boiled away. Return fire crashed into the bridge viewports just in front of him, leaving hot scars across his field of vision. Then the interceptors slipped past, ostensibly to come around and hit the stalled cutter from behind.

Tried to, anyway. Jorus tipped the flat cutter to starboard and brought up a wing. An interceptor slammed into the wingtip plasma cannon with a mindboggling noise that jolted all the way up his spine. The impact spun the D'Lessio like a coin -- and brought the remaining guns to bear on the other interceptors as they flashed past. The plasma cannon roared three times.

Also only use runway one and two, as I got missiles coming down three and four for next few minutes, to reload the sam batteries. Her voice was calm and she kept her message concise, as she did not want to block the air waves, as other messages may be needed to get through. She sat back waited for fighters to come in, as her pioneers where helping with reloads. They where not as good as dedicated aircrews, but they where all she had got. They where slower, but none the less safe in there job.

Nate had found her gear somehow. Unfortunately the energy bow didn't exactly use a standard power pack and after two shots back up the corridor was out of juice.

Exhaustion was catching up with her. The adrenaline has seen her through the first few minutes of their mad escape, but that was starting to dissipate. She wouldn't be calling on any magick any time soon. Gentek monstrosities were likely bearing down on them.

She unclipped her saber from her belt, her chest heaving from the exertion of their dash for freedom. It snapped to life and she edged the scarlet tip into the line where the doors met.

"Cover me!" she called. Had to work quickly or else the molten metal would solidify and actually seal them in even more effectively.

It wasn’t too difficult to piece together how Astrid Santii got to Kal’Shebbol. A twenty-year old, petite, human-togruta female traveling on her own with enough Force sensitivity to mind-trick a semi-sentient cactus was a target for anyone wanting to capture, exploit, rob or enslave a vulnerable being. However, her detainment wasn’t without a struggle as the girl was raised to be hunter and tracker by a clan of powerful Togrutas and was recently spending her time in the swamps of Dagobah just surviving on algae, lichen and swamp rats.

Which is where she’d been nabbed unfortunately.

She’d given her main captor, a male Twi’lek named Enitan, a black eye and a couple of broken ribs before she was stun cuffed and stored in a stuffy cargo hold for eight hours.

In Astrid’s case, the group which had captured her, a motely crue of aliens and human slavers, were associated with Gentech, located on Kal’Shebbol which ironically had been settled in 392 BBY by escaped Twi’lek slaves. Kal’Shebbol was now home to the illegal operations of the shadowy company, in league with various criminal organizations across the galaxy and included a Gladiator arena where warriors, fighters and slaves were pitted against each other for entertainment.

As the hybrid girl prepared herself to fight a Cerean warrior, she heard explosions off in the distance, somewhere near the entrance of the Palace. While she’d been quite sheltered from the galaxy at large, living primarily on a Space Station, Shili, and then on Dagobah, she pieced together the noises. Sounds like a military siege, thought Astrid, and the gasps and grumbling in the crowd that watched only supported this theory. But she couldn’t dwell too long on the hostile sounds as the Cerean ran at her with a sword and a machete, while the girl was armed only with a Noghri-style fighting sickle.

The crew of Resistance Fighters bounded out of the Armory to join Ria's gang. Dev was at the head, flanked by two humans armed with rifles. Mor'Te was bringing up the rear, clutching his T-21 rifle with a small crew of other riflemen keeping watch.

Dev fired off two rounds at the soldiers occupying Ria's team. The shots connected at their necks, sending ozone, smoke, and pink myst into the air. The soldiers bounced hard on the ground.

Shruv had two blasters tucked in the back of her belt and assistance with the crate of grenades in the form of a chubby Gran, who looked like he could carry it himself but looks were deceiving.

"Carry your weight!" She chided. The Gran, named Po-Klee and in for 'accidentally' crashing his repulsorlift onto a Gentek impound transport, wrested the crate from her and carried it himself down the rest of the way. Shruv just shook her head and unholstered her blasters, taking aim at security cameras down the hallway.

"We're being funneled, what the feth are we supposed to do here? This a prison break or recess-"

Just then, they heard it. The heavy steps. They were not standard feet. they were not human feet. They were not droid feet. Much larger, rubber-soled The pit in Dev's stomach, one that had arrived when he saw Ria's crew funneled against the door, only deepened. Mor'Te knew what to do.

"Got a rifle? hang back and keep watch. We don't know what's coming but it sure ain't good!"

"I got the door. watch my back," Dev hollered with no time to slow his speed. He took aim with all his weight and bound into the corner of the door with his shoulder and riflebutt. The durasteel frame groaned, and so did Dev.

Nothing happened. The butt of the gun chipped off and clinked onto the ground. The collision was so hard it caused the durasteel to hum. He placed a hand on the door and breathed deep. He did not know how he came to even gauge it these things, but it was a trick he'd used numerous times on Cloud City.

Perhaps it was The Force, perhaps it was just experience. Anyone else would tell you it was The Force, because anyone else wouldn't be in such denial of their innate ability to sense the vibration of a door all the way into the circuitry of the lock. Dev's eyes shot open, meeting Ria's.

"Green cable."

Dev reached down to grab the broken rifle bit and used it to wedge open the circuit guard on the edge of the door. Just then, the steps became clear to the gang of fighters - GenTech Atrocities. There were two. Eight foot tall. Four feet wide. Muscles on muscles, armor on muscles, veins so bulbous you'd think they were bulging through the armor. But he wasn't going to stop and study them, instead choosing to rip out the green cable. The hole sparked, burning his fingers and sending small flames to dance on his shirt. He cringed and fell back to pat himself, and the door opened.

"EVERYBODY GO!" Mor'Te was heard to say. He opened fire with his small team of riflemen on the Atrocities. Po-Klee lobbed a grenade from the case at the ground toward them. As the riflemen backed up to draw the giants, one of them were smart enough to fire a round at the grenade. The explosion rocked the hallway as the band made their way through the door and into the next level of Hell.

Then...

Someone was really going to get a piece of his mind about this later.

So, someone in the Underground -- whatever the feth that was -- had their shorts in a twist because, apparently, having a four year old Clone Trooper co-pilot/gunner was not okay. But sending sixty-four year old Anzats off to go fight the nations wars? That? That was perfectly fine.

Nevermind that the four year old Clone Trooper knew more about combat than most Mandalorians five times his age. He was a cute little youngling, which meant he must be protected.

At some point, Sor-Jan must have stopped being cute. Maybe it was the swearing, or the drinking, or the card sharking people at the Sabaac table... whatever.

But to add insult to injury, they'd given him a hypochondriac for a co-pilot.

"I'm seriously afraid to touch anything on this ship," the young woman remarked, obviously uncomfortable as she surveyed the interior of the centuries old Corellian freighter. "I wonder if the medical droid has a tetanus booster..."

All right, so many the Alderaan Queen wasn't exactly dressed for the royal ball. Dirt and rust was what gave the ship some character. Plus, cleaning a ship this old wasn't exactly something a few loub-paper towels and a bottle of Windex was gonna cure. "Ain't no medical droid, sweetheart," the young Jedi fired back from the other side of the cockpit, as the boy began cycling the start-up sequence in preparation for breaking away from Rebellion Actual.

Which was true. 2-1B had taken off after the incident at Skye. Which, Sor-Jan had never heard of a droid quitting before. Did they even have employment contracts? In any event, the Clone Wars relic was now the resident medical droid aboard one of those massive tourist transports roaming the galaxy with class 4 hyperdrives like bloated space whales.

"Sweetheart?" the woman beside him echoed mockingly, the target of her vitriol becoming the boy in the captain's chair as she said, "Look, Short Round, this bucket is never getting out of the system. Let alone doing a damn thing to GenTech."

The boy's head went up and back as he rolled his eyes. Please, this was only the ship that had traveled out to Exocron from Voss. Only halfway around the galaxy, both the mapped and un-mapped portions of it. "Oh, yeah?" the child Jedi boasted, as he reached out to grab hold of the hyperdrive. Through the transparisteel canopy, they could see other ships of the Outback jumping into hyperspace. "Watch this."

Ratcheting back the three levers, there was a discernible hum resonating through the ship as a surge of power hit the Lucerne Labs hyperdrive core. The ship shuddered as it's engines were spun up...

...and then it bucked wildly, as a sound like that of a tailpipe backfiring exploded from behind them.

"Impressive," the woman uttered, as the ship just sat there, adrift.

Then a secondary bucking of the frame, as though the transmission had just fallen out.

"Most impressive, indeed."

The young Anzat's head just went forward to plant his forehead against the console.

"Transfer power from the hyperdrive to the shields," the young Anzat snapped, as he worked to control the inertia driving the ship forward as it exited from out of hyperspace whilst getting his bearings now that they were back in normal space-time. An S-curve carefully bled some of the speed while skirting around a meteoroid that had popped up in front of them. "Then see if you can get a fix on the D'Lessio."

Flying into the planetary system, the small Jedi glanced down at the navi-computer to orient himself to the cartography. Aiming the ship toward Kal'Shebbol, the Corellian ship shot across the night sky as it's sublight engines were opened up.

A ringing on the console brought the woman's attention elsewhere. "Looks like we've got reinforcements coming in," the woman remarked, looking over the sensors for a moment before adding, "A corvette with fighter escorts, coming in at two-one-seven mark five."

Two-one-seven mark five. Like a concert pianist, the boy applied his hands to the controls and expertly whipped the ship off on a new heading that was almost the inverse of the one they'd been moving in.

"Wait, you're not..."

"We're late as it is, might as well go introduce ourselves," the boy quipped with the exact sort of chit-eating grin that gave Corellians a bad name.

Thoughts of victory now lost, in one surprising action Cronas had watched his victory turn into a crushing defeat. Anger built in him as he walked up upon the broken body of the enemy leader and continued to build as he addressed him.

"How could one as small and weak as you do all this?" Cronas asked as he stomped upon the crawling man's leg.

Pleased by the snapping sound of his leg breaking under the weight of his heavy boot he proceeded to step to the side of the boy and kick him hard in the ribs so he was flipped over to his back.

"Look at me boy. That suicidal charge, I thought it was the desperate act of a beaten leader looking to salvage his honor but it wasn't was it. You lured my men to you. Lined them up like targets to be put down by your transports and I fell for it!"

Raising his arms over his head he clasped them together into a fist and with all his might brought it down upon the boys chest. Again he heard the pleasing sound of bones cracking and proceeded with his speech.

"Then when I was distracted by the new attack you take out my guns! You will not survive this insult, while my warriors fight to the last behind me and they will give me the time I need to end you. To..."

Before he could finish he saw the boy raise a single arm. It trembled as it pointed to Cronas and soon he found himself being lifted off the ground.

"What witchcraft is this!" he screamed and no sooner had he said that then he found himself being shoved into the nearby gun still burning and sparking cursing, "No, No, damn you!"

It was then that Zetha felt it. A disturbance in the Force. From the horizon, just past the gates, she could make out the sounds of explosions. She watched the fire light up the sky, then she heard a very loud voice boom. BB was in trouble. She didn't know how she knew, she couldn't explain how she knew. She just knew. He needed her help. Not even meeting Runi's gaze, she turned and streaked away from the group. She didn't care if that action labelled her as a traitor. It wouldn't be the first time that that title was branded on her. She saw no purpose in loyalty to a large group of people, most of whom she did not know. She was only loyal to those who she cared about. Who valued her on a personal level.

BB was one of those people. Runi was not.

As she streaked across the battlefield, she saw the goons. Some ran at her with vibroswords. Others halted and raised their blasters. As the red light of blaster fire arched towards her, the hum of the blades passed by her. She ignited her lightsaber and leapt up, using the Force to propel her. The blades and blasters passed harmlessly below her. Rotating her body, she sent herself flying at a patch of goons. A few clean slices cut them down. Jump over to the next group. Cut them down.

From where BB was, if he got a look at her, all he would see would be a twirling flash of red, goons dying around the sabre and its wielder.

The BFG (Until Angered)
1 Year Earlier:

The crowd roared in excitement as Nawago entered the gladiator pit for the first time to face his opponent. Only days after he escaped from captivity back on Hoth was when he was tracked by the accomplices of the scientists. It was then when he was beat into submission, chained, and thrown into a cell. His opponent on the opposite side of the pit held a spear and appeared to be shuddering, but still had a look of anger. The unsettling part about it was that his opponent had multiple bruises and large gashes all over his body, indicating that he fought in the pits multiple times before. That only added to the list of worries of Nawago, as the man began charging with his spear pointed straight forward. His attempts to back away and act innocent were only met with a barrage of thrusts of a spear, with the Wampa attempting to dodge and prevent any death for the cruel amusement of the observers.

Managing to keep up the facade for countless minutes, his opponent finally managed to hit a lucky strike, impaling Nawago's side. As he collapsed for a brief moment in pain, rage built up in his eyes before he stood up, towering over the man. Grabbing the handle of the spear, he was able to easily rip the weapon away and throw it to the side. The face of his opposition turned pale white before the Wampa grabbed him by the neck and began slamming him against the wall of the pit. Weak begs came from red and purple bruised face after being held against the wall by his neck. Nawago wished that there was another way, but he knew that the man would have no problem driving a knife into his heart. He hesitated for a second before finally ripping the throat of the fighter, followed up by loud cheers from the crowd, celebrating the Wampa's victory. He knew that he had no choice anymore; it was either fight and kill or die.

Some days would consist of fighting to the death in the pits, others would just consist of sitting, eating, and sleeping in his own filth. Nawago was one of the many lucky gladiators, as he had managed to live day after day. Sometimes fighters wouldn't even go down fighting, disease could also kill. Whether it was due to under cooked food or having to lay in their own filth, disease always found a way to kill a couple fighters every month. Luckily, he was accustomed to eating food that hadn't even been cooked at all. He just hoped that he could continue fighting, continue struggling so that he could survive. Nawago even knew that he would sent out to fight in the pits, another opportunity of death. Being so drowned in his thoughts, the sounds of explosions and starship engines seemed to be drowned out at first, until the constant conversation of concern between the fighters in the pens next to him snapped him out of it.

Not engaging in the conversation himself, he silently listened to the mention of rumors that a group was coming in to liberate the slaves and pit fighters. Immediately, hopes around the room rised as not only Nawago believed it to be true in hopes that freedom would finally arrive. He sat down in his pen and tried to zone out the rest of the conversation between the fellow gladiators, focusing on the sounds of the explosions and the various other sounds of battle. It was surprisingly loud, prompting him to believe that the rumor of liberation would come true. People had to be coming for them, they just had to be.

The clouds began to part as the shape of the YT-1300 roared through them, the trail being pulled into a thin line in it’s wake. Even in atmosphere the Millennium Falcon was regarded without peer in speed throughout the Outer-Rim and her pilot knew it.

They had as normal gotten distracted, absent from the battle-thus-far. However as the Gentech fleet had started to take the advantage though sheer numbers Kira Vaal, captain of the legendary ship decided it was time to make her presence known.

With a roll the Falcon came beneath the D’Lessio as Interceptors began to explode behind the surprisingly agile ship. The Falcon’s own guns, manned by some of the best Underground gunners joined the onslaught ripping into the craft as she zipped beneath and up from the rear of Jorus’ ship. She counted three Interceptors gone from her own shots, another group copping a painful amount of fire from the D’Lessio.

“You’re all clear boss.” Kira called into her comm, a roar of agreeance from Charlwook next to her would have flooded through again. “Let’s push ‘em back.”
