En route to Jedi Library w/ Jedi Strike Team
Determined.
Ever since her conversation with a lord of the dark side, Kiskla had been more resolute in her path. He had mentioned that there were a lack of great Jedi and she was determined to prove him wrong whether it be her directly, or her enabling the actions of others.
The landing had been shaky, and Kiskla, ever the critic, had been grumbling about the differences if she had been piloting. Not that she was a good pilot because she was a smooth driver. She was just fast and unorthodox. Which meant she was untouchable in the skies. Those skills translated to her combat on ground, which is what she'd be doing today.
The Republic were in the skies, but the Jedi were on the ground for their roots. In fact, she was surprised they hadn't been met with a brigade above the Sith inhabited planet. But now, overhead, there was a canopy of energy igniting the sky. Selective bits of motivational speeches flashed in her memory and she glanced to her right at her Padawan. @[member="Dar'rak"] was progressing rapidly, and she had no doubts that he was more than ready for facing real Sith. This, was part of his trials for knighthood.
With other Jedi, the Master poured from the carrier onto the ground of the ancient Jedi planet. Immediately, the Force signatures of Ossus was tangible. The presences around her fuelled the deity of light, and her own prowess. She would need all the light she could to keep the darkness within her perfectly balanced to manipulate her weapon of choice. She was an agent of the force, but a warrior with her blade. Rain streaked across her face as her lithe body moved with the agility it was trained to demonstrate. Serious ground was covered in minutes as she advanced, confident her reptilian Padawan would be at her heels at least.
Fear was tangible from both sides. Death was felt from both sides. There was an attachment for both sides. To the Jedi, this was their home. To the Sith, this was their victory.
To the Jedi, it was to be their victory.
Flames erupted around the outskirts and dialogue flashed before her eyes. The Jedi were supposed to be emotionally compromised at this action. It was a distraction.
Another Graug crumpled.
With the onslaught of blaster fire, the young woman was using Soresu to deflect the bolts of energy. Each one that fired at her, was aimed right back to their origin. Many toppled off their beasts, being trampled underfoot. Her blade bit between one of the opposing side's armour, and she could feel the slight resistance of their bones before she was once again gone from that scene. She was light on her feet, and deadly with her precision. @[member="Daella Apparine"]'s instruction was both clear and obvious. Along with the team, the blonde fought.
She had been lost in the heat of battle, that when she saw the four domes of the great library ahead a small smile surfaced. Behind her, was a wake of corpses. In front of her, was a sea of the able. Beside her, was an army of capability. She would help those.
To give herself accuracy, she accelerated her speed to be just before the primary Jedi strike team and burst from the tree line like a rejected forest sprite.
For a physically deceiving petite person, Kiskla was a mountain the the Force. And, she needed to remind people from time to time. She had been an invalid of the Republic until recently, and now they would be thankful for the termination of her hiatus.
Cover me. Kiskla instructed to Dar'rak who was less her Padawan today, and more her partner. And now, she needed his blade as she gathered up enough energy to clear a radius.
The graugs were one thing, and now they were facing more of the Emperor's opposition. Like a burning ball of energy, Kiskla centred her focus to the build up inside her. She waited until she felt an adequate culmination of light particles that would bend at her command. Within seconds of her instruction to her Padawan, a powerful burst radiated from her palms and outward. The current rolled across the surface, uprooting bits of grass and knocking against the first and second wave of Sith soldiers and streaming to the bottom of the massive stone stairs, although dwindling in power the farther it reached.
This was to give the soldiers fighting along side her a moment of advantage against their opposition. On a good day, that could have cleared miles but she had a feeling she'd need to conserve her energies for elsewhere today.
