The Natures of Padawans

Akodya Mune

Before Akodya's own duel could press on, @[member="Valx Raizod"] seemed to shift his attention from @[member="Nala Tu"] to Akodya, rushing up behind her to try and land a rough hit on her back. The girl turned when she felt his presence behind her and prepared to defend herself when he overshot and collided with the cold and unforgiving earth of the training grounds. He didn't get back up. Confused and concerned she shut down her saber and fell to her knees beside him, her healer instincts taking over. One of the jedi knights that had been observing the session came flying over, leaping over Nala in order to reach the fallen padawan. The jedi muttered something to herself and carefully flipped the young man over. Studying her, Akodya presumed she was Valx's master. The padawan's breathing was hitched and shallow, which just worried Akodya more.

"Do you know if this a regular occurrence with him? Is there anything I can do to assist?" Akodya blurted out to the Jedi knight tending to the boy lying limp on the ground. "I am healer, I can help if it is needed!" She said.

"Should we see if he's okay? I think I see blood." Cale remarked, moving over to @[member="Tallia Farn"]'s now unconscious padawan, @[member="Valx Raizod"]. The Knight would kneel down beside the padawan and roll him onto his back, then sit him up a bit, allowing him to wake himself up hopefully. Cale really didn't want to force him to wake up, it was much less fun that way and generally involved putting forth effort on what was supposed to be his day off. But he'd fire fitted that when he became a Jedi, hadn't he?

Tallia thought she sensed sarcasm in the padawans words. "No he will be fine.. I think. Stang, Cale now do you see why I'm worried!" She huffed.

Valx's lightsaber had actually penetrated his stomach before shutting off. He came to and immediately started coughing up blood. He had landed on one of his sabers, but due to the fact that it was a training saber, it didn't cauterize the wound. Blood flowed from his mouth and wound. His eyes were in so much pain. He placed his hands over his eyes, as if in doing this, it would ease the pain.

"I'm sorry, Master," Valx winced and laughed.

He could feel where the wound was and it wasn't fatal unless he was left untreated.

Nala gasped when she'd seen @[member="Valx Raizod"] hit the ground. She'd kneel down first and felt his head, gasping when she found blood on her entire hand. When she'd seen the other Jedi approaching, realizing then were knights, she got up and bowed before letting them do what they needed. She was praying he would be alright in her mind, but then was shocked to see the wounds that had been inflicted. She covered her mouth when she nearly screamed before tears began to form in her eyes. She may not have known this padawan, but to see him like this, dying, it was a horrible sight.

"T, our masters let us go run around Illum supervision free whilst we all combated the trials of puberty, they had something to be worried about. Your fine, now lets get him to the medbay. Paddies, continue training." Cale responded to @[member="Tallia Farn"] and addressed both @[member="Akodya Mune"] and @[member="Nala Tu"]. He scooped up @[member="Valx Raizod"], placing a hand on his wound and stopping some bleeding as he carried the boy towards the medbay, motioning for Tallia to follow.

"We need to move you to the medical center." Tallia said slightly ignoring her padawans comment. She then stood up, glancing at @[member="Nala Tu"] who seemed very shaken by Valx's injury. She put a hand on her shoulder. "I'm sure he'l be fine." Tallia turned and followed after Cale, shaking her head.

Akodya's eyes widened at the slight of the crimson liquid gushing out of Valx's torso, and immediately ran to grab the robe the boy had discarded earlier to use to stop the bleeding before they moved him into the temple. Judging by wear the blade had entered his body the wound itself was not fatal, but loosing a lot of blood would end him. Ripping up a large bit of the robe Akodya skillfully began to weave it around his body and covering the gash, before the male Jedi placed his hand on the bloody wound as they carried him inside.

What would have caused an episode like that?

Valx smiled a literally bloody grin. Even in a time of extreme misfortune, nothing could bring him down. While @[member="Cale Gunderson"] carried him, blood poured over his robes.

"I am deeply sorry, Master. That was a foolish and risky move," Valx said, accepting punishment.

Valx slipped back under...

Reaching the medbay was the easy part, getting all the druids out of his way was the hard part, they insisted he was hurt, even though it was @[member="Valx Raizod"]'s blood on his robes. Setting the boy down on a bed and letting the healers get to work he looked over to @[member="Tallia Farn"] and gave her a reassuring smile, hoping to signal that everything would be alright.

It was as if a weight was lifted off Akodya's shoulders when @[member="Cale Gunderson"] placed @[member="Valx Raizod"] and the examination table of the medibay, the numerous droids buzzing around the blood covered padawan. A few also fretted over Cale, insisting he lie down on the other free examination table before he lost to much blood. Of course, the crimson liquid that and sunk into his robes was not his own. Staring down at the unconscious young man, she felt a sharp pang of guilt stab her in the chest. This was her fault. After all, the retaliation to her attack is what caused the accident in the first place. She was just trying to help out her team mate, @[member="Nala Tu"], and instead she got someone hurt. Signing quietly the human padawan contemplated leaving the group alone and returning to her meditation.

Nala watched @[member="Valx Raizod"] being taken away, still praying he'd be alright. She looked down at her hands in horror as she remembered one of them was covered in his blood. Her breathing was frantic as she wiped it off, not on her robes but on the ground. It was horrifying to have another padawan's blood, even just another person's blood, on her hand. She keeled down in order to reached the ground and, having gotten most of it off, she began to weep, feeling that everything went to hell and it might've been her fault as well as @Akodya Mune . Maybe if she'd tired a different strategy and won earlier, or given up earlier when he had the advantage. Was being a Jedi really this hard?

Everything seemed like a blur to him. His head hurt more than ever now and he could no longer "see" anything around him. Valx lifted his hands, trying to feel around and he grabbed @[member="Cale Gunderson"] 's face.

"Thank you, sir," Valx said quietly.

He clenched his chest in pain. He could no longer sense his fellow padawans either.

"Master..." Valx called softly

Tallia turned from her thoughts when Valx called for her. She approached the bed where he laid. "How are you feeling?" She asked, trying to put compassion into her voice. She had initially felt frustrated and slightly angry at Valx when she had found out that he would be alright. He had scared her half to death when he had went down. But as Tallia had been sitting in the med bay, she had realized that if she was going to help Valx learn to control his emotions, she had to be able to control her own.

Having slipped into a chair while awaiting Tallia to finish her time with her apprentice, Cale had entered the state in which he had first met her, he'd passed out. The Knight hadn't been sleeping well for months, visions, dreams, and flashbacks from the dark harvest plagued him relentlessly, depriving him of sleep. But for once, he didn't seem disturbed, just peaceful and quiet, silent as night.
