Alena watched with interest as senators began voicing their opinions on the bill submitted by Senator [member="Wil Cindercurser"]. The unpopularity of the bill was clearly visible. "The chair would like to call upon the house to come to order!" The Chief of Senate's voice rang out loudly throughout the Senate chamber.

Chief Beswin had things to say about this bill herself, but it wouldn't be appropriate for her to say so. She was committed to saying her opinion or casting her vote only if they had a divided Senate. But clearly this was not the case today.

"At this chair's discretion, the debate on this bill will be suspended, and the house will now move into voting procedure regarding the bill at hand. The chair promises a special session of the Senate to be held for a discussion on the events that have transpired at Manaan."

"Senators, please call out your vote on this bill after stating the planet you represent." she said, before looking around to begin counting the votes.

 

[Quietus]

"Pheraella Sanzio, Senator of Kuat," Sanzio enunciated clearly, casting a slicing glance in the direction of Cindercurser, "does vote Nay to the passing of this bill."

 

[The End Narrator]

"Senator Alyesa Organa, of Alderaan former, votes No in the passing of this bill." Simple enough. The Chairman of the Security Council would see herself dead before something of this caliber would pass before her eyes.
