The Numbered Basics Of Melee [Dimah]

"I.....I.......I...." She stammered. "I had no plan, master, i just got lost in the flow of fighting..... And.... I was trying to survive. For a while, I forgot it was just training."

Dimah bowed, nervous. "I'm sorry."

He nodded slowly in turn as he would deactivate and put away his saber.

"You have to remember who we are as Jedi... We are not killers. We are defenders. Yes, sometimes killing is necessary... But this was not one of those times."

Dinah nodded in understanding, "why do some think you are killers?" She tipped her head, curious. She exhaled a shuddering breath, slowly calming down. "I've had masters that hated Jedi, some even said you took children."

"Because of the idiots who try to turn up the power on their training sabers to mutilate their Masters" He remarked, smirking lightly.

"But in all seriousness... It comes with power. When you gain it through hard work... You have a lot of responsibility. It just so happens that people will expect you to fail or abuse it. Others will lie like you already have... Others do so because they want you to fail, because somehow... It benefits them.

Dimaah, this world is cruel and not everyone is honest. You know this. You were a slave, once, no? You should know this firsthand."

"Some advice" He would begin, taking a breath.

"Don't think about what others think... Do what you think is right. And if you question what is right, then you need to find that. But also understand that everyone you might ask will always have an impression of what is right, or what is just... You have to find yours too."

She bowed and went to the garden. For a while, she sat and drew in a small, blank, brown book.

Dimah looked at the trees, wondering just how tall they could grow. Standing up, she walked to a fairly tall, slender tree.

Looking up, she started to climb it. Once at the top, she gasped at the wonderful view. A strong wind made the tree sway; Dimah gripped the tree in fear.
"Help!" She nearly screamed.

The tree would suddenly begin to bend, lowering and lowering to where it would bend no more - just short of the ground.

"Let go."

The Jedi Master had been having his lunch, and seemed to have gotten a bit of ice cream stuck in his beard from surprise at seeing his Padawan in a tree. He'd been using the telekinetic energy of the Force to bend the tree best he could. This was no easy feat, but he supposed at least he wasn't trying to uproot the damn thing.

"Let go, damnit. It's a four foot fall."

He let out a sigh and shook his head as he let go, and the tree would snap back to it's original position. "It's fine" He said. "There is nothing wrong with being curious... Though you should make sure you don't get stuck up there anymore" He remarked with a light chuckle.

"Are you unharmed?"

The Jedi Master let out a sigh as all he could do while she continued to blubber was help her to her feet.

“Being curious is normal, and it’s especially normal in Jedi” he would explain. “And besides...”

He smiled, even if bittersweet.

“You’re far from alone. I didn’t have one either.”

The Jedi would shrug his shoulders in response. Well, she was asking questions, at least. And asking them was the only way to learn. But it was the first time he had heard a personal question.

"My family was on the run from debtors when I found myself comatose and in the hands of the Jedi, who had nursed me back to health. I ended up joining them, and have been serving for nearly two decades since, throughout several different Jedi Orders. I have been on Jedi Councils and seen hundreds of Grandmasters come and go while I served, and even had the role myself at one point" He would explain.

"Nowadays, I march to the beat of my own drum. I don't serve so much as I do what I feel is right and what I wish to do. I have now, what you wished for when you escaped from slavery...

Freedom."

Dimah nodded and tipped her head, "I barely remember a sob and a scream from when I was very young, but that's nothing to go by."

Her head was feeling lighter every second. Gripping the nearest sturdy object, she fought to stay standing. Her sight blured around her. Panting, Dimah slipped to sit on the ground.

She placed her head in her hands as the dizziness took her on its cruel path.

(Think vertigo)

A hand would land on her head soon after. It wasn't long after her symptoms began to show that Force Heal had begun to take effect. Josh wasn't sure if her symptoms would be cured, as he wasn't 100% sure what Force Heal covered in it's entireity, but the Jedi Master would at least try.

He held the hand there until she spoke up.
