The Numbered Basics Of Melee [Dimah]

"Master.... Dragon...?" She would mutter as her awareness returned. "How long was I.... Out? Sorry, this is normal...... Happens every so.... Often...."

It was hard to talk, but she managed.

"Not long" He responded as he would reach out a hand to help her to her feet. "Force Heal works wonders I suppose, if you know what you're doing."

With that, he would motion her back toward the temple. "Alright, off to the quarters for you. Clearly you need to go lie down and have some rest" The Jedi Master would order. "Might as well rest for the day."

"Are you sure?" She asked as she yawned. However, she went to her quarters and laid on her bed. She was asleep in minutes.

Her mind stirred with questions, which boiled to one:

Why was she so weak?

Dimah stirred in her sleep and whimpered slightly, clutching the blanket close to her.

The first thing Dimah noticed when she woke was that her sight was slightly dark. Great..... Her partial blindness was acting up. With a groan, she got up and felt for her clean clothes. Once she refreshed herself, Dimah got dressed. With a nervous sigh, she headed towards breakfast.

Using hearing and smell, she made her way through the line and sat at a table. Slowly munching on her food, Dimah thought about what the day would bring. She hoped her sight would get better.

Her sight faded off and on throughout the day, something she was used to.

However, it was the dizziness that was her bane. During a training exercise, she found herself on the floor hyperventaling as the teacher cracked the electrowhip. The teacher was teaching them how to use it properly, but Dimah's mind snapped at the all too familiar sound.

Her mind became dizzy, she felt sick with fear. Dimah sank to the ground in a groveling posture, not thinking straight.

"No... Please!!......Don't!..."

Of course when Padawans had outbursts, usually they were brought to their Masters. So when she had lost her head, she had been brought to her Master's chambers to take care of. Having just finished a lesson, Josh had been going over notes when she had been brought to his makeshift quarters. Looking toward her with a pen in his mouth, he would hear the briefing before nodding and letting the messenger leave before removing the pen from his mouth and speaking.

"So, what's the matter?" He would inquire, with a light tilt of his head. Yeah, he had been briefed, but it was better to hear a review of the situation from the girl herself.

"I.... Heard the whip and got scared... I.... Forgot where I was....... And...... My sight hasn't been the best today...." She stammered as she lowered her shaking form into a chair.

"Please don't be mad at me!" Sh would ask in a pleading tone.

He let out a sigh and nodded his head. "I'm not mad" He spoke. "But this is a fear you need to overcome. What if someone uses that weapon against you in combat?" He would inquire.

"Come, let's be off to the training room" He remarked as he got up and began to walk out. "I think we can get you past this. What do you say?"

He nodded as he noticed the trembling. He would pick up the saber whip once he arrived and turned it to low power.

"Alright, so... I have no clue how to use this, so I'm just going to be gentle. I'm going to attack with this. I want you to use your training saber and defend against it" He would command as he would hold out a hand and bring a training saber from the rack, toward her hands.

"You ready?"

The Jedi Master would nod his head and immediately draw the energy whip, before slashing it and lashing it against the floor right in front of her feet. It didn't hit her, no, but she would feel the heat radiating off it, and she would feel the heat radiating at a very high temperature. The whip let out a "CRACK" as it hit the ground...

With that, he would continue to lash the whip at her, over and over, now aiming toward the lightsaber as he would try and force Dimaah to block the blows, or be hit with them. The light whip was low power, of course, and would only burn and cause welts if it were to hit.

Shaking, after dodging for some time, Dimah was blocking every blow.

However, she was still scared out of her mind. In a moment of fear, she reached to the force, the whip shook, as if it would pull away from the Jedi master. He would also feel a push on his chest.

(Thinking she uses the force to make the whip fly out of his hand and make him fly backwards. She will need a hand calming down.)

The Jedi Master would nod his head in approval as Dimah would finally begin blocking the blows, standing up to the whip and keeping from cowering in fear from it. This was what she needed. She needed to not only overcome her fears, but learn to fight them. If someone came at her with a whip, she needed to be ready, she needed to be able to fight back.

Feeling a push against his chest, the Jedi Master would throw the whip into the air, as he would fly back. Not being used to the weapon, he knew the light whip could have hit him in the face when he flew back. Landing on his feet, he used the Force to call the whip back, before immediately charging her again.

He wanted to pressure her. He wanted to force her to overcome her fears and defend herself no matter what came at her.

The Jedi would nod his head in turn. Dimah would need to work a little more on her stamina... As well as facing her fears, and conquering them. She had a very long road to walk. She needed to put more effort into her work, she needed to work on improving her strengths... And overcoming her weaknesses. This was a weakness that she would get in time, he hoped. She just needed more work. More time. More effort.

The Jedi Master would take a deep breath. She didn't seem to be as fearful of the whip as before. It was a start, he supposed.

"Are you prepared to continue?" He would inquire. "You seem to be getting the hang of it. But you should work on lasting longer in battle regardless. If you tire so quickly against a Sith, well... It won't end well for you" He would admit. He hoped that motivated Dimah, he did. She needed it.
