Betna's warning systems blared in his helmet as he came around for another pass. He took a brief second to glance at his sensors before reacting. Two missiles, fired from a ship of near corvette size that had just showed up.

"Target on our six, missiles inbound! Evade, evade!," he snapped over the comms.

As he spoke, he yanked the yoke up, then down. With the nose pointed at the ground, he rolled the Bes'uliik over and pulled up in a bastardized Split-S. He then throttled the engines to full, getting under the flight path of the missile. The warhead couldn't make the same degree of maneuvers as the starfighter could, even as heavy as the Bes'uliik was, and arced as it passed. It attempted to correct and follow Betna's craft, but exploded harmlessly on the worm's armored hide.

He wanted to check and make sure Anija was okay, but he knew with this new enemy, he couldn't afford to. He just hoped she was okay.

Now, with his starfighter pointing more or less towards the enemy 'starfighter', he let his reticle dance over the enemy's hull and opened up, three heavy blaster cannons firing away at the enemy ship.

Elara looked down at the horrid creature with utter contempt. An inclination towards pity briefly filled her. Then she realised that killing the creature WAS pity. Mandalorians could be real jerks sometimes.

She raised her pistols to blast the Skaven away to the great cheese in the sky…when someone hit her with a wall. Well, that was impolite!

She had somewhat noticed the movement, but hadn’t expected a wall to smack her in the back, and so she went down, rolling over and over until she came to a half in the rubble. Luckily, probably, her armour had saved her from instant death, but now she was facing a Sith by herself.

Still, drawing her pistols up she fired whilst taking cover, aiming one for the legs, one for the chest to try and keep the Sith busy.

Anija too heard a warning tone inside her helmet. Missile lock. She swore, her eyes flicking to the sensor scan. And then she saw it. A large marker of an enemy craft that was headed straight for them. Not to mention the missiles he'd sent to them as a welcoming gift. 'Wonderful..' she thought to herself - at least before Arrbi's order crackled over the secure comm.

Before he'd even finished, she snap-rolled her bes'uliik off to the left and downwards in a corkscrew. The maneuver was... mostly successful. She watched it's angry red dot turn to follow her on the sensor readout, and she yanked back on the flight controls, taking the bes'uliik into a steep climb. The missile tracked that too. After a moment though, she snapped the bes'uliik over to the left and downwards again, watching as the missile tried to track. it couldn't quite keep up, and exploded perhaps 15 meters aft.

The blast shook her fighter, and the proximity of it caused her canopy to polarize for a few moments. She could still fly, thanks to the HUD. Between that blast, and the plasma rain from the chrom vrone, she could see several systems flickering into the yellow spectrum which indicated damage. With a fierce grin, she rolled her fighter to the left, and then looped around to meet up with Arrbi. Along the way, she peppered the Chrom Vrone with more laser fire.

"Get... out of... what..." Ashelotte questioned, but not too long before the hurdling knife broke her inquisition. Dropping the speared tips of her fingers into whip-like constructs, an instinctual reflex with the subtle guidance of the Force brought her arm so swing up across the blade's path, tangling it between the web of Vong-shaped cords and knocking it to the surface below.
"You're not getting that back!" she shouted. "That creature in the distance, what the heck is that thing? It doesn't take a genius to figure out it's Vong... but why...." Ashe gestured over to the Hydra Queen and her minions or what-nots, unaware fully of what transpired between these two just before her arrival.
Figuring to ignore it upon further visual inspection of the woman before her, she leapt over to the next rooftop in the hopes that she might be able to provide a bit of Healing if necessary. Drat, right, no Force use.... She'd remembered that the Mandalorians had recently brought it - or tried to - more Ysalamiri-based poodoo. She carried a few apothecary salved on her. Hopefully, she figured, they'd do.

Enemies: [member="Sosu Deviron"], [member="Sero Valrel"], ----------- [member="Hion the Herglic"], One Sith
Objectives: Provide cover for his trusted squad mates Azrael and Anastasia and hopefully kick some ass

All around the city the fires of war raged on, burning maliciously throughout the vicinity like a plague. The bulk of biomass aside Navio's proximity consisted of a mix of Mandalorian warriors, Sith Soldiers and the Vong. They seemed to mesh together in a violent spray of blaster fire, flickering light sabers, explosions, random debris and various body parts of unknown origin. Chaos had inevitably engulfed the entire area and it was difficult to tell what side was currently winning.

Regardless, Navio continued his own struggle through the mass, swinging his beskad with precision and expert guile. Foes of all kinds fell at the hand of his renowned bladework and honed tactics designed for both war and bounty hunting. He was a true armor-clad warrior, his beskar encased mass rampaging through the battlefield on his own. His mind remained focused and calculating and his body pumped with burning adrenaline. His father lived for this. He lived for this. He was born for war.

Having previously awaited orders from his commander, [member="Azrael"], Navio forecfully pushed his way through the chaos using brute force and minuscule openings. He was quickly making his way towards Azrael's location. Then moments later, [member="Azrael"] 's voice rang through his com.

"Ner'vod, Lock onto that Herglic, and force break his head off. Take the lead and bring him down."

However at this point in time it was difficult to pinpoint the injured whale's precise location and would take far too much time. So, with quick judgement, Navio continued on his predetermined path in order to rendezvous with members of his squad and specifically his captain. He was a man who instinctively created bonds with his honored squad mates so they were his top priority. He'd deal with the Herglic later (perhaps when he's able to respond again) in order to accomplish this personal task.

As such, the azure colored Mandalorian quickly brought up his beskad in order to fend off a nearby Sith's attack before swiftly cutting him down. Simultaneously, Navio brought his spare hand upwards and locked on to a nearby group of enemies blocking his path, before firing a wrist mounted rocket towards their center. A violent explosion ensued soon after, killing many caught in its proximity and severely injuring any survivors. Navio used this sudden opportunity to propel himself forwards at impressive speeds aided by a sudden burst from his jetpack, allowing him to cross a considerable distance.

At the end of his burst, Navio quickly spotted [member="Azrael"] and [member="Anastasia Rade"] using his advanced HUD and soon realized the conflict they had gotten themselves in. His vision honed on their enemies, taking note of [member="Sosu Deviron"] 's impressive maneuvers. After covering, the Sith suddenly appeared, flinging a light saber towards [member="Azrael"]'s directions. However that wasn't all as [member="Sosu Deviron"] bolstered his movements considerably before taking off in a separate direction, trying to assault [member="Azrael"] from the rear.

Navio had been keeping track of his movements however and would not let this come to pass, shooting his left hand back and pulling out a single Force Breaker grenade from his hidden stash. Navio pressed the button and started cooking the grenade's explosion timer manually, before darting through the air once more with a sudden burst of his jet pack. Using his HUD's computer, Navio pinpointed where Sosu and him would meet and prepared accordingly. During the flight, Navio took his right hand and drew one of his MT-14 blaster pistols. With the setting set to lethal, Navio quickly fired off a spray of violet blaster shots towards [member="Sosu Deviron"] to hinder his pursuit. Now with in range, Navio would throw the grenade as far as he could, straight into [member="Sosu Deviron"], and allow for it to erupt in a spray of Force hindering toxic fumes in order to cut the Sith's connection with the force.

The remnant flare of the flash-bang soon died down to a middle. The blinding light and deafening ear-splitting ring edging began emptying in the tumultuous thrum and crescendo of war. The battle raged around, and rather than stand in one place for too long, the Field Marshal was advancing as he lost track of the Sith that had fled from his ballistic prowess and turned for safer fares. Despite other squads in the area, around the city, and even in the air - Azrael was keeping track of what he could, and what was most important. There hadn't been word from their Mand'alor since they had touched down, since they knew that he had engaged with Ordo. He couldn't pause to check-in and concern himself with that fight at the moment - despite the fact that it was literally the very threads of both factions that were at stake in that clash of titans. He had to be here, he had to be in the moment, as his vode were counting on him, and vice a versa. While this was not the grand arena, and he was not some plucky hero - there was war to be fought, and that was what fueled the Mandalorian spirit and their undying and endless resolve.

Decisive and quick movements carried the Field Marshal through the throng of bodies and around the dead and dying forms of Red Legionaries and Sith infantry alike. The dual use of ballistic weapons rang out in a fury, as slugs rang out in various directions rending asunder life and limb in the pursuit of his cause. While not a warrior from his youth, like most of his brothers and sisters were, Azrael had determined to be a man of war from the day he stepped on Mandalore. Endless nights in the training yards, private instruction from the best of them, from the champions of Mandalore, as well as learning from his mistakes gave Azrael a heated advantage. Not to mention the spirit he carried, the will to fight and survive through tactical thinking and efficient deployment. If he could out-think them, he could out flank them. Turning a corner around a pile of rubble that used to be a city building, he came within feet of the mortally wounded gladiator who had been causing so much trouble for his little sister.

"It's over aruetii. This is not your day, and this is no longer your world." The Ripper was leveled slowly at the head of Sero aiming to give the man a quick and painless escape from the terror of the battlefield and into the halls of whatever warrior home the Sith clung to. Whether that be the Force, or something else, he wasn't sure. He did not hate the man, but his resolve to end him was as strong as the need to protect his vode, and that was unwavering. Sero's saving grace however was the bright flash of red plasma that had managed to not only cross a large distance but it's mark square on. The dual blades of the ignited lightsaber had whirled about and on it's descent from gravity struck the ripper from his hand, severing the grip from the barrel in a clean cut before clattering to the ground at his feet. On instinct, Azrael stomped his boot atop the hilt, and glared to the side looking for the Sith who'd thrown the weapon at him. Sero had a moment's reprieve, and if he wanted to survive, he'd have to marshal his courage and rally his remaining strength to get out of Azrael's proximity.

The sound of Navio's voice entered into his helmet seconds before the trigger of the Roughcut was depressed and Azrael was dropping to the ground in a crouch with his bionic arm raised up. The non-shielded ammo of the Roughcut brutally beat upon his arm and armored calf, and it certainly was felt (thought not physically on the arm). A combat roll forward put him behind another standing ruin of some permacrete structure, as the instant warning of his vode saving once again that lizard on his back and keeping his force shield in place a little longer. Snatching out the saber from the ground however, he had the common sense to stash that into his gun-belt for safe keeping, a souvenir he wouldn't be giving back. The next instant the Mandalorian was answering and returning fire over the rubble barricade with his own version of the slug thrower, but this was the rapid response and shielded version. His ten meter (32 feet) diameter of force protection also included removing the influence from anyone within it's grasp.

"Ni hukaatii'ni shebs ti kama, vod." Azrael remarked back in Mando'a to Navio, adding in a bit of jest to his tone. "But I appreciate the assist, keep him busy a minute more." The Field Marshal called as he put down some heavy supressive fire to the likes of the Force Vampire and began to move between piles of rubble until he vanished behind a larger structure and came to make port near the side of Anastasia. Resting the Heavy Ripper to his side and immediately lowering her weapon for the time being, his visor shifted to look over her injuries. The metallic mouth-plate rose up in an instant. "Hang on Ana'ika." A spare compartment on his bionic arm was flipped open and an injector fell into his right hand. Immediately he pushed the needle into the thigh of her right leg and depressed the plunger. Green bacta slid from the vial and immediately into her bloodstream. "This will raise your healing process, but stay put. Meh gar kyrayc, shuk bah ni." Azrael reminded her to rest, for dying was not an option today. He wouldn't have it.

The sound of a jetpack filed my ears as I began to scan the sky the ground at my feet being blasted by the Mando. He had cut me off from my tactic of attacking Azrael from behind. I also saw the grenade in his hand thinkning it just a thermal detonator but if he had one of those accursed Yslamir I wouldn't be able to direct it till it was within a dangerous range. Drawing both of my sabers I activated them their blades extending from the hilt. Plunging both into the ground on either side of me I spun cutting a large hole in the ground and falling into the sewers that lay beneath the streets. I didn't even stop to think as I used my speed to run away from the hole. At worse the mando's would enter the sewers in pursuit or at best they would let me be. But either way it went I had gotten their attention if only momentary.

Before Darth Junra could even reach Dark Lord [member="Ordo"], a terrifying Basilisk war droid tore into the speeder that carried her across the sky. The Sith Lord turned to see its gigantic, sharp claws mince the frame of the speeder with ease. The barrels of its weapons stared at Darth Junra for a second as it continued to rip through the vehicle.

Immediately, Darth Junra pocketed the slugthrower and deactivated her lightsaber. As the war droid took the time to rip apart the speeder, Darth Junra pushed off what remained of it and flew toward the droid itself just before it would have the opportunity to claw or shoot her.

The driver of the speeder was unfortunate and was killed just a second after by one of the mechanical beast’s claws.

Using her empty left hand, Darth Junra clutched onto one of the plates of the war droid - where the “neck” was. As the beast would continue to fly forward, Darth Junra’s body would swing around to where she would appear to be a rider that had been bucked off the seat and hung on by just a thread.

It seemed as if Darth Junra intended to attempt to mount the beast if given the opportunity to regain control. However, the war droid likely had the means to attempt to force her off like a wild, untamed animal.

The first missile struck the Worm. The big boy started getting antsy immediately.

Uh,” muttered Kirk as he realized the slight mistake he had committed. He just hoped that the Hydra Queen would not take it personal.

Fortunately, the second missile merely missed. Or unfortunately. Either way, the Worm did not get struck a second time.

Kirk’s starship rattled as a few of Arrbi Betna’s shots struck the ship’s shielding. Alarms sounded about the incoming fire.

Full power to shields,” said Kirk as he adjusted a slider. This took away a significant amount of power meant for his starship’s laser cannons and diverted it to the shields to increase its regeneration. The much larger ship had the advantage of being able to generate more power - despite losing significantly mobility wise. This naturally yielded an overall better shield - yet Kirk knew such a thing was finite.

Kirk’s starship was positioned on the opposite side of the Big Worm as the war droids. Yet, it was a straight away - more or less. Kirk continued to have the starship accelerate toward the Mandalorians - and by extension the worm. He pulled another trigger on the steering yoke and fired several bursts of his severely depleted laser shots at the two war droids.

Gilamars thick head wrapped in beskar crashed agaisnt Ordo's faceplate shattering the transparisteel visor. Ordo's head snapped back for a moment as he held his grip on the Mand'alor's breastplate. The head that went back soon returned forward as he simultaneously jerked Gilamar toward him and aimed his own head at that of his once close friend. Again and again he would strike aiming to knock the war chief-of-chiefs sensless.

Soon they would near building tops and Ordo called on the force for endurance and durability as soon they would be having an abrupt reception by duracrete, permacrete and pain.

Petite of form allowed the Sith Master to move in ways the broad and larger form of the Mandalorian could not. Trakata, a form in which she would turn off and on her saber dependent on strategy, would come into effect as the violet blade would disappear just as the leg came swinging around.

Her back would arch as she went leaning back, feeling the brush of air as her foot went sweeping past her face by mere inches. The beskad swiping strands of ebony hair and barely missed the tip of her nose as it followed pursuit.

Popping right back up, the mute Sith Lord, would use the Mandalorian's momentum against her for what she did next. For while she was unable to use the woman's torso for the Force to affect it, she was able to still use Basaba's legs and head.

Time to see how hard they were.

So tendrils of the force would go wrapping round the woman's singular leg she'd just recently used to attack her and like the Hulk smashing Loki on the ground back and forth, attempted to do just so.

Silara had felt a boost of confidence as the rubble had struck the Mandalorian girl down, though she had not let guard down with the anticipation of an ally of some sort coming to help, but as she reached out with the force she could feel that she had not yet beaten enough for her to learn her lesson. Her right hand opening, the Vahla teen used the force to pull on the second saber that was at her waist and immediately ignited it to deflect the shot to her leg, her left hand already holding the saber across her diagonally to block the shot to her chest. "T'ch. Here I was thinking she'd give up after being knocked out of the sky like that." She thought as she darted over to the right, taking cover behind some of the rubble, and crouched low. "Hey, Rat-face, go get to cover or something, I'll handle this." Silara shouted to [member="Smeg"].

Why that was the first thing that came to Vindica's mind was a mystery even to him, especially when all the 'delicacies' McYoda's had to offer were simply lying around for the taking. Food later, death now. Eyes snapping to the elderly warrior, he ignited his saber once more. Anger rushed through him, so many innocent nuggets would be scorched beyond edibility. A shame.

There would be no warnings, no ultimatums, not from a Hand of the Dark Lord, there would only be death. What had happened with Traycn was never to happen again. Surging forward, Vindica loosed a strike at McKeller's head before jerking the blade back in an attempt to rake his chest with the blade.

She saw it as the girl moved quickly, her boot and sword going past as she spun around. Then there was something gripping her leg and jerking it as she went around. A tightening grip on the blade before that first slam brought her face into the ground. A smack of her cheekbone and head as pain sharp and intense mixed with red vision before she was up in the air again getting slammed on her back with a sharp intake of breath... The armorweave pierced by a broken section of ground and bar, the pain snapping her attention forward as the jump servo's activated and Basaba placed the quick burst of heat where it belonged....

Aimed right at the sith lords face while she went back pulling at the bar until it was further through her side. There was that taste of copper and when she stood up the pain was a numbness for now before Basaba drew out the rest of the bar and coughed up some bloody saliva. Hand still gripping the baskad while she stood there and drew a rod with spikes on the ends. The staff/spear useful from a couple of meters while she marched quickly pushing that pain into her stomach and rage into everything to slash and stab with the spear at it ejected fast to work on surprising her kneecap with the beskad going for her chest.

He swore as the disgusting creature shot off with one of his ner'vod. But he was given no time to stew in his anger. Their position was being overrun. Already a group of Mandalorians had been push from the tower, swarmed by the wretched beings. He looked over at his own squad who was still mowing the rats down as quickly as possible. "Fall back!" He shouted in Mando'a before looking up to see a flat-faced thing snarl and jump for him. Fire exploded from his jetpack as he blasted into the air and again as he let loose a stream of it to ward off the foul creature as he moved. The rest of his squad followed, using their jetpacks to jump from the roof and across to an unoccupied one. They did not stop, however. Instead they kept moving, all the while firing back at the Sith's slaves and fodder, daring them to follow.

"Sir, what are we doing?" B'Arin turned to one of his men and grunted. "We cannot hold that rooftop as we are. The enemy has far more men than we do. So we must find a place where their numbers do not afford them an advantage." He explained quickly while they continued to run and gun across the rooftops. One rat creature jumped up from behind a corner and was rewarded for its troubles with B'Arin's fist followed by a fountain of fire. Its agonizing death cry fell away as they did not stop. He searched and searched for a place that would allow them to stand and fight without being swarmed. He was Mandalorian, and he loved a fight, but that didn't mean he was foolish.

Two lightsabres? Problematic.

Fortunately, rippers were harder to block than blaster bolts, or at least harder to reflect, so to keep the Sith busy she opened up a fusillade of shots on the Sith girl. When the Sith got closer she would have a couple of surprises waiting….

The force of the jet pack managed to knock Basaba from Nephthys' grasp, sending the woman aireborne. However, this was not met without injury. When the spear came at the Sith Lord's knee, it struck the Vonduun Skerr Kyrric crystalline armor, and although it did not crack the armor, it did send a massive amount of pain and bruising against the sensitive area.

A silent scream would rip through the Sith, and her pain would fuel her anger, her power. Normal hindrance would follow, had she not trained in the ability to control her own pain. So she did so then, powering through the wretched agony to ignite her saber anew, sending a slash of her saber across Basaba's torso where the Bodo bass gunbelt was strapped over her beskargm armor.

It was time to slice and dice at it away, bit by bit.

Her hands were moving faster and faster, getting the spear raised and the beskad as Basaba moved as fast as she could. There had been a moment she had expected something but it was silence and rage that radiated off this sith lord like scolding water. She was half expecting to be boiled away but there was no pain just anger and hate to fuel it. The mandalorian relished the thought of it and the spear shlinked as it collapsed joining her beskad to go after the blow. She needed to find the small gaps in the armor or better yet start attacking less defended places as she tilted the spear and pushed to be closer.

To angle it just right and push the blade to polevault length with a small hiss and the molecular compression from the echani craftsmen they had used for emphasis and a base. Basaba ground her teeth in her own anger and hate with the warmness of blood on her face where the bone around her eye and cheeks were broken, the skin discolored. Her grip on the weapons with the crushgaunts white knuckled as she moved to push off the saber and slashed up going for the sith lords armpit with the blade. She was going to try and get into that section of armor that was usually open and exposed to slash and slice.

Betna spotted his shots hitting the enemy starship and frowned. They didn't seem to do much other than get absorbed by the shields. Before he could think much more, the thing opened up on him in turn. He didn't have much time to react and the majority of the shots hit the hull of his starfighter.

Lasercannon shots bounced and rattled off the bes'uliik starfighter, shaking the craft somewhat. Despite the vibration in the controls, Betna managed to keep control of the thing. He did a glance through his system checks and nodded slightly.

The Beskar armor had shrugged off the majority of the shots and only a few minor, external sensors were damaged. Thinking a moment and remembering a few other firefights he'd been in with a standard bes'uliik starfighter, a small realization came to him.

Normally, he'd have had to fight the controls more than he had when hit with a barrage like that. As he didn't, and as the shields seemed to absorb the shots, that meant only one thing.

"Angel Two," he said, opening comms to Anija. "He's maxing out his shields and draining power from his weapons if my guess is right. I have an idea. Mirror what I do."

With that, he yanked the controls back and sent the starfighter higher into the air in an attempt to get above the enemy starship. With luck, Anija would do the same, but in reverse, shooting to get lower than the enemy ship. It was a simple tactic used time and time again throughout the galaxy.

Divide and conquer.
