Invasion The Reckoning [Invasion of Empress Teta: Mandalorians vs One Sith]

[member="Azrael"] [member="Darth Junra"]

Ordo closed his eyes briefly and shook his head. This was why he had acted alone. He hadn't wanted the Mando'ade involved. They could have continued to fortify, to dig in, to make his family safe while the galaxy fought.

"How many of the lives taken by these hands," he said holding his armored hands up, "were vode?"

He took another step toward the edge of the building.

"Who did I turn my back on? Did I bring on dar'jetti against a vod? Did I not ask Mia to stand down and speak with me? Gilamar? Did he ever once come to me for anything but war? Yet, I'm the traitor? How many times did I lead armies from the front without question? How many times did I fly into the jaws of death and ask nothing for myself? When brothers died, was it not me who stood with the mourners? When people were wounded, did not I tend wounds? When I went to coruscanta did I lead a soul with me? Not one life has ended that I didn't give a chance to walk away...this is that time again Azrael. Call a retreat. If it is me you want then leave and I'll meet you all on a field alone. This is senseless. Why raze a world over one man who's greatest crime is wanting security for all people and defending himself when his brother came for his head."

The bubble surrounded them and Ordo felt the force removed feom the equation. This was as it should be, as all should be and he welcomed it. If he was forced to fight it would be with his own hands and not with a tool that he had never needed if the first place.

Every time Anastasia turned her head a new Sith seemed to appear out of nowhere. She understood that at this moment she was kind of on their planet but still they seemed to come out of thin air. They were surrounded again and more were joining in on the party by the minute. Even at all of this there was no way she would back down and run away with her head down. Things had been worse for her, much worse so this was nothing. The Sith had nothing on her and she had nothing to lose by being here. Bring it on Sith nation.

The lizard was keeping Anastasia from using her gifts which wasn't too much of an issue really as she had just started learning. It was much more important that they were both safe than her play around with new spells. There would be time to show him all that she had learned in due time.

She ducked under the wing of the war droid as sparks went flying. She had a good shot just the power core had been moved just as she had aimed to shoot at it. Luckily it seemed nobody was hurt.

The young woman stayed silent as Ordo and Azrael spoke. It wasn't her place to say a thing as she didn't know Ordo. She was here as Azrael's back up in case things went bad. She wasn't exactly that great at the whole talking to people thing anyway. It was best for her to stay silent and keep watch.

Out of the corner of her eye she spotted [member="Darth Junra"] swinging around a lightsaber on another roof top looking straight at Azrael. That was all she needed to aim at her but didn't. It was better not to at this moment. It was possible that Ordo and Azrael would come to an agreement and stop this. She had to let them try and put aside her angry to the side to see if it was possible for peace.

The thumping of his rifle kicking back into his shoulder was more than enough pleasure to fill his mind. Adrenaline had been pumped through his system by now and his throbbing veins hadn't exactly helped steady his aim when he fired at the Sith, but it felt good to fight back nonetheless. Jennek had stopped firing after that triad of rounds and so had Jed seeing as their Force using ally had already dealt with their opponent. Whoever this Sith was, she was bound for some damage if she even survived.

"Jen, move up."

His comlink crackled with a reply. "Right. Moving."

Jedediah knelt back down behind cover, ejecting his used magazine of explosive rounds in exchange for standard ones. They were going to be providing cover fire at a close range and hitting friendlies wasn't exactly part of his plan for backing her up. Hell, maybe she was even connected to the Mandalorian central communications units. A quick glance down at his HUD told him that her IFF was reading as a blue, a friendly, and that she would most likely be able to communicate with him. Jed clicked his tongue in his mouth, accessing the short range encrypted network before finding her signal and linking it to his.

"Hello, this is Jedediah Bagely of the Mandalorian clans. Need any help?" He already knew the answer but it wouldn't hurt to ask.

As he awaited her answer, he hoisted his frame over the chunk of debris that was his makeshift cover and advanced forward some to seek other shelter. A larger section of a rooftop ledge provided enough protection and he was content, also noticing that Jennek had took a similar position on an adjacent building.

Sawa watched the girl on the wardroid now as they were working to defend. She was with the commander and others letting her energies with the force remain just outside of the bubble and had a smirk on her face. Force null bubbles were an annoying thing but she was more wanting to divide the mandalorians so they could pick them off and handle the problem. Her hands slid to her grasp a couple of rocks and she spoke. "Mandalorians.... come out and pla..ay." She let her fangs snap into place while working to try and meet the young woman's eyes.

The Cristori sith swung at the brute in mid air, the mandalorian had immediately with his shoulder pauldrons, and helmet tightened them together for the blow. The burn was horrible as the light saber collided with the beskar, but the armor had done its job, the force of the collision was not enough to match the athletic warriors force generated. His body still moved forward in pain , and immediately leading with his shoulder, another collision had occurred. A body on body, were Sherruck's aggressive nature had paid off, the sith made a major mistake with killing their father the manda'lor, he was the guardian of there ways, and the best of them all. The sith must have cheated somehow to defeat him, and for that, the mandode would come together, and fight with blood, metal, undying strength, and honor. The power had knocked the sith down to the ground with a massive Wack!

The walker commander would definitely be in pain from this hit, now the warrior was on top, while the equally massive opponent was on the ground, it would be a battle of giant's. With the beskar knife, the brute raised his knife for another powerful hit, to the chest, this would give the sith enough time to react, or become seriously injured. What would his oponent do, would he have just as much capability to strike back, or would he be to stunned to do anything? This small, intense, battle within the larger scale battle waged on, who would win?Only time will tell, for now the Fett was very focused on brutally beating the bastard who had killed his friends, he was alone now fighting the sith. The men behind him if they continued to pursue the two fighting warriors, would step on a hidden shrapnel mine planted prior, before engaging the walker. If the men moved an inch closer they would die.

Their search for an opponent continued, the ruins of the city providing them with none thus far. All of the sudden, the young Chiss felt a dark presence in the Force, even her low-skilled senses picking him up among the Darkness that surrounded them. Not a Sith though; this one appeared to have even less training in the ways of the Force than her, the signature showing signs of lack of refinement and proper training... Before Alaki could study the faint Force sensitive ripple in the sea of pain, suffering and death further, the Force warned the young girl of an impending danger, her head suddenly turned up, eyes widely opening in shock as she saw the rapidly descending ship. In that moment, Alaki became that fearful Padawan again; she wanted to run, fully knowing the ship was going to crush her otherwise, yet her body froze in position, paralyzed by fear.

Luminara's telekinetic push tossed the fallen Jedi back, out of the way of the falling ship. The Twi'lek herself had managed to get into safety before the impact. Lying on the ground among bodies and rubble, the blue skinned teen covered her head, feeling the ground under her shake as if hit by an earthquake, the thunderous crash silencing all other sounds for a while. The noise truly was deafening, even after getting up Alaki heard nothing but ringing in her ears. With a silple movement of her thumb, the lightsaber ignited with a snap-hiss, revealing a blue plasma blade. The girl firmly grasped the hilt with both of her hands, watching as the Sith Acolyte ran to the enemy. The figure of a man who possessed a jetpack and wielded a shotgun-resembling weapon could not be mistaken for anything else but one of their enemies. The Mandalorian stood about 20 metres away from the Chiss, who tried to circle around his position and attack from the right angle with Luminara's position, meaning the attacks of the two Dark Siders did not interfere with each other.

The first thing Alaki did was to lift her left hand, trying to telekinetically grip the man's right leg before yanking her hand back, hoping to pull the leg from under the heavily armored Mandalorian and make him fall, which would give the Twi'lek an opening and allowed her to easily eliminate the downed man. If he activated his jetpack, at least this would keep him down for a second more, allowing Luminara to close the distance between them and damage the Mandalorian's jetpack.

He watched the corvette hit the dirt and crush itself into and under a building. He saw missiles and his bomb hit the building itself. The missiles he figured wouldn't do much, but the bomb he dropped would ruin someone's day. The flame-carpet warhead he'd dropped could cover multiple square kilometers with sticky, burning flames. This bomb did just that and coated the building itself in a white hot inferno, easily cooking those inside.

Before Betna could do much more than confirm the building that, unbeknownst to him, [member="Darth Veles"] had escaped into, more laser fire impacted his starfighter's hull. The shots themselves were weak and did little other than leave scorch marks here and there, though Betna knew it was only a matter of time before someone got lucky again. He'd been cloaked when he had been hit, which meant someone had placed a lucky burst on the move.

Betna dropped the cloak, revealing the starfighter itself. He saw Anija pull up and to the left and mirrored the move.

His starfighter looped up and around, dropping him on the enemy ship's starboard side. Betna opened up his his comms as he blazed away with the three heavy blaster cannons.

"Anija," he called out over their encrypted comms. "I... Uh... I have something to ask you."

He was attempting a more confident tone, but he was sure he came off more unconfident than anything. Thankfully, shooting the big 'starfighter' helped keep him on task somehow.

Oblivious to any of the Mando's facial expressions, her attention caught the glint of his knife. She rotated her body and took the brunt of the strike along her upper arm. The metal of the knife slashed across her mocha-skin and muscle tissue.

[member="Darth Odium"]'s tainted blood trickled out and she felt the psychometry take hold as the kiffar warrior relived every memory of the Mando's blade. Eyes glowed briefly, a molten-white like the flash of lightning in a twilight sky.

She gasped.

She released his wrist and left her knife jammed in his damaged pack. Then, she released him. Bare-foot aimed a kick off his chest followed by a force push out and down, hoping the invisible energy would propel her slightly higher as it propelled him down and closer toward the ground and closer to impact.

The cool rush of wind felt good against his hot face. Blood was pounding through his veins, golden eyes ablaze with anticipation to reach the ground. Black puffs of smoke materialize into existence as the layer of anti-air batteries increased. The Chimaera's main cannons had been able to eliminate minor batteries of defensive guns, but the more prominent and concealed positions were still very active. Judging from the way most of the intensity of the bursts had faded, they were moving out of range of the ground cannons.

"There's the landing zone." Darth Arcis jabbed a red finger past the pilot's visor, indicating a sparsely populated urban area. Not that it was populated with civilians, but rather multitudes of apartment complexes and residential sectors. Within moments, the pilot of the King's gunship along with several others touched down near the buildings. As soon as those gunships touched down, dozens upon dozens of Stormtroopers from the 501st legion leapt into action.

"Secure the buildings, Aurek and Besh!"

"Yes, sir!"

The strategic comeback had started.

Through the smoke, dust and debris that rained over the entire area, distorting the images of two possible assailants flanking him, Nolan recognized the distinctive beacons of lightsabers. One crimson, the other azure. Normally, Nolan would have welcomed the sight of the blue bladed one, but with the movements taken, they were aggressive and aiming for Nolan. Activating level 2 of his ray shields, readying his Kath Hound, Nolan felt a strong tug on his leg, but with his limited training, he'd learned to repel simple grabs from other FU, though it pulled him to an awkward split stance. He primed his pack for a burst towards the crimson beacon-wielder.

Firing off three shells of high velocity slug-shot, Nolan propelled himself up at a twelve degree angle from the new position of his feet, he then came down on the crimson wielding Twi'lek, that's what she was, he noted as he got close enough to make her out in the haze. The first thing the woman would see would be the flash of a jet pack, three subsequent muzzle flashes foreshadowing incoming fire then the metal boot of the Mandalorian warrior.

Tracking the movement on his HUD, Nolan kept a weary eye on the individual moving around to his rear. Knowing full well they intended to immobilize the warrior, as that was one of his advantages over them, he kept the pack primed at all times, never really cooling it down. This emitted a low, constant wurr of the engines in standby.

As he came down on the Twi'lek, Nolan would plan to strike the woman with the bottom of his beskar boots. If she dodged or blocked, Nolan would fire his engines again to correct the landing and set off a Forcebreaker grenade on his bandoleer. He would then appear to be emitting smoke from his armor, further adding to the haze around the three. He was going to level the playing field a bit by immobilizing the midichlorians in all of their blood. Literally breaking their tie to the Force for a period of time.

This was war, and these were Sith. He was going to destroy them at any cost. In the depths of his mind, the hatred and pain that he harbors for the Sith expunged into the air, a pungent, heavy emotion that would be felt by the attackers until the Forcebreaker disabled their ability to sense with the Force.

The Sith Knigth had entered through a window, not a hole in the wall. He had come directly through the window after shattering it. Ahead of him was a wookiee, [member="Grozurra"]. Of course he didn't hear what the wookiee was saying, but the language itself, and then actually acting upon those orders and understanding would've taken some time of course. In that time Darth Acarus had already moved, far from the window that he had shattered to enter, you didn't live long as a Sith if you remained stationary. You didn't live long if you were anyone and stayed stationary.

Especially in a war zone.

The Sith Knight, glancing towards where he came saw several projectiles bouncing to where he had been standing. Usually when metallic things were thrown they were dangerous, right? The Sith Knight wasted no time in already throwing his hand outwards towards where he came and releasing the Force from the palm of his hand towards the canisters and flash-bangs. Unknowingly to him the apparent force breaker grenades just began to blow gas out, but outside. He hadn't realized it because the flash-bangs had been set off and the visor on his durasteel helmet dimmed momentarily. A handy helmet wasn't it? Something that he carried around with him literally everywhere he went, along with his armament of weaponry.

He hadn't realized it but outside there were vehicles with mounted guns, but he had always been moving, only taking the moment of his time to push the grenades back out the way he came and continued again. Unfortunately in his force enhanced movements he wasn't as untouchable as he assumed and he felt warm blood coating the inside of his YV Armour. Saddening, but he would make short work of this.

From his current position he leapt, over a counter and into a backroom as the weaponry tore through the walls around him.

The droid that [member="Azrael"] was riding dropped like a rock, allowing its rider to avoid the explosion. Laufeia couldn't help but grumble about that fact. Her arm was starting to hurt her again. She couldn't keep it from hurting forever. The pain gave her strength, though, and she grinned as she intended to turn her sights on someone else, but then had to stop as the droid suddenly rose again, its sights turned upon her and she couldn't help but grimace as she knew what was coming.

Sure enough, lances of energy shot out at her. She tried to dodge out of the way, moving towards the fallen corpse of Itessa, the Mando she'd killed. A shot slammed into her hip and sent her tumbling just as she reached the body, but she managed to get it up in time to shield her from further shots. That was good, at least. She wasn't going to be moving much anytime soon, though. Too much damage for that. Her leg, as it was, felt like it was gone, even though it just had a massive burn hole in it.

As Luminara sped toward the enemy, she made a small plan of her own. She saw the young Alaki trying to come in on the Mandalorian's side so that they would be attacking from two angles instead of one. She summized that this partiular Mandalorian was Force Sensitive, and judging by the obscurity of his signature, a weak one. She focused her mind, following the signature to its core. There, she reached into the man's mind. Force Sensitives were never easy to read, and she never attempted to delve very deeply into them. But then again, she didn't need to. Just a little bit was enough...

As the young Mando's foot would come down on Luminara's head, he would find that there was nothing to smash into. With a grin, she would vanish as if she had never been there. For, in reality, she hadn't been. She had stopped halfway toward him, using her Illusions to make it appear that she had continued the rest of the way. While her ghost-self was running at him, her actual self would be jumpng in a high arc above him, landing soundlessly a few feet behind him. Seconds after her ghost-self would vanish, Luminara would send a powerful shockwave into his back without warning, which would send him flying foward and dissipate the gas he was secreting. She held her breath for good measure in case any of his smoking gas still lingered about her.

Objective: Cause havoc and assist Neskar

Navio's focus narrowed in on [member="Darth Angrel"], while still maintaining a sense of awareness pertaining to his surroundings with the assistance of his beskar'gam's HUD. The mandalorian kept his trigger finger firmly placed upon the heavy ripper, shooting out a devastating array of flesh and light armor rendering energy-coated durasteel rounds. Each bullet carried behind it great killing powering, leaving those caught in its firing path shredded, namely the background Sith soldiers and such littering the battlefield. His opponent, [member="Darth Angrel"], on the other hand managed to draw an extremely resistant tower shield of sorts and charged forward, making his path easily seen and predictable. In response, Navio ignored the gun's warning and unloaded the remaining bullets housed in its magazine, using this extra fire power to slow Darth's advance with the gun's raw power. As expected, the gun soon overheated and jammed, having proven its use.

Navio in turn put the rifle away and swiftly shot a free arm upwards, aiming it directly at the charging Sith, and shot forth a wrist-mounted rocket homing in straight towards its target. Once making impact with the Sith's shield, it'd explode in a violent display of power, hindering the Sith's advances and most likely stopping any predetermined plans he had going for him, such as throwing a frag grenade. This was doubled by Neskar's aided assault on the Sith.

Navio activated his jet pack swiftly and jetted side-ways in a single burst to further himself from [member="Darth Angrel"] for the time being.

Simultaneously, Navio drew his signature beskad; Epilogue, and brandished its hefty magnificence for all to see. Navio was a warrior and bounty hunter, so he held a variety of skills and tricks up his sleeve. However, the one that made itself the dominant of the lot was unmistakably his skilled blade work and melee prowess.

Navio prepared himself in a stance, noticing the arrival of yet another enemy, [member="Darth Ares"], with the aid of his suit's 360 degree vision and tracker. Things were about to get tough, but fear voided itself in this instance. Only a stoic champion remained, prepared to take on the world. (Figuratively)

While maintaining his stance, Navio pulled something out from the confines of his belt and held it tightly, resembling a spherical object of some sort.

"Traat'aliit gar besbe'trayc..."

The power core exploded, and par for the course Kir didn't even have to worry about it. The explosion was far enough that none of the heat or plasma from the explosion would touch him, and any of the shrapnel would either embed into his armor, or be knocked off its slanted nature. The pinging and tinging erupted all around him shrapnel pressing deep into his armor and threatening its already weakened integrity, a warning alarm blared in his HUD, and he looked down to his feet.

An explosion erupted there, and in an instant Kir was on the move.

Before the floor could fall out below him Kir clicked the rockets on the back of his suit into life. They weren't a jetpack, more a jumpack, yet in this instant they were pointed to the left. The massive rocket pack pushed Kir to the side in an instant, pressing him to the right and launching him across the roof. In almost an instant he shot towards [member="Laufeia Carzi"] roaming across the roof and scooping her up.

Massive power armored fists, scooped the young woman up and onto his shoulder, placing her on a vantage point where she could see and use the force.

Then the Royal Guard turned about, shifting and coming to a stop as his rockets quit firing. Kir turned about and pointed his arm at [member="Anastasia Rade"] below the wing of the Basilisk. A wash of flame came from his wrist, shooting out towards the girl. In the tiny enclosed space it would be tough to dodge, hopefully.

There was this feeling a sensation call it a gut feeling that something was getting very close to her. Arla began to look to the ground there were fallen soldiers everywhere surely they had to have weapons on them that she could use. She ran first to her left and saw nothing except bodies. Bodies so much loss of life. She couldn't think about it, she ran to her right about fifty feet and she could see what looked like a couple of balls. As she got closer she was able to see it was grenades. How was she going to do this now.

She had not looked up did not know that there was something starting to reach down to grab her. Only her instincts and fear kept her moving. She would need to do something rather fancy haha. Holstering the ripper as she got near the balls she put her hands out to grab the balls appearing to fall forward her hands landing on the grenades she propelled her weight forward doing a handstand, her fingers curled around the grenades and then she landed on her feet. Looking down at what she had and only then looking around her she recognized this grenade, it was like something that shredded things. She could see the fog now.

"what the frell?" Out of just fear, she pulled the pin and threw it at the fog then turned and ran, pulling out the ripper. She could now look up there was something slithering down Arla aimed upwards at an angle her aim would not be right on but there were so many she had to hit at least one. She pulled the trigger for multiple rounds.

She could finally see the little green arches of McYoda's but was it too late.

Helios remained alert as he contributed to Carach's storm. He needed to relocate however. The leviathan in it's destructive glory would be subdued eventually, yet the Sith around him continued to their own battles. Helios dropped his arms, shutting his connection to Carach off. His pale hands drew into fists as he turned and propelled himself over a gap to an adjacent rooftop. He craned his neck as the loud unmistakable bang of a sniper rifle was discharged. The sound was piercing; a stand-out among the crashing, screaming, and blaster fire. The Sith Lord moved across the buildings with great speed, akin to a demon silhouette, slashed with crimson.

Helios' neck twisted, his view moving to see two figures moving. They seemed to be coordinated, although Helios couldn't immediately tell whom was the leader. The woman moved to take cover behind a chunk of debris on the building in front of him. Without hesitation the Sith Lord turned his body and homed in on her.

She's not alone...

Looking to his right, Helios saw [member="Jedediah Bagely"] hoist his frame over his makeshift cover on the adjacent building to the woman. Advancing towards Jennek, Helios shot both of his hands forth, sending two thud bugs towards her location. Helios preferred the organic weaponry the Vong offered, as opposed to an traditional arsenal. His lightsaber remained of course, but it saw as much use as his hydrastaff these days. A slow blink followed the attack as he turned and began to run towards the building adjacent to Jennek's. Helios was unsure of the woman's fate. He assumed the thud bugs killed her, but if not, he didn't care. Jedediah appeared to be more dangerous. Helios went airborne one last time as he landed on the same rooftop as the Mandalorian. Ysalimir?

Helios wasn't close enough to be severed of the Force, but he knew what lie ahead. Shaking his head, Helios moved silver hair; his usual annoyance, one that seemingly conspired to blur his vision. Helios began to collect a pool of dark side energy to himself. The Eldorai opened himself up, drawing and strengthening his connection to the Force as he prepared an attack for Jedediah. Helios doubted the Mandalorian would remain unbeknownst of his presence, but it mattered not. The end was nigh.

Fragmentation grenade landed on Yuuzhan Vong warriors, the explosion causing some severe damage to two, but the Vong Crab armor held tightly. Snarls would be heard, as the gutteral language of the Vong would point towards the direction the grenade came from. Arla's ripper managed to tear through one of the Umrach, preventing her from getting entangled in its clutches. But it would not save her from the Hydra herself.

She would fly overhead, wings flapping, narrowing in on her prey, having spent a while already tracking her down. Her next act would see to the attempt of capture. The woman's claws would roughly reach down to try to grab at the running woman, coming at her from behind, gripping her under the armpits.

Like a massive eagle capturing their prey, Hydra would intend to fly away with her prize if successful.

The firebreathers burst flames and intense heat up ahead, blocking the path from McYoda's, burning down and cooking horde rats and Mandalorian's alike.

The vast mass of Yuuzhon Vong Soldiers would fill the streets, guiding the Firebreathers along. Implanters would soon be behind them, seeding their coral to any who might be unlucky enough to show exposed skin.

Above in the skies, the reinforcements of [member="Darth Arcis"] were in route to secure the points relayed to them. Crackle of thunder would light the heavens over on the other side of the city, as the Force lightning storm called by the four Sith Lords sent crackling lightning towards the beast.

What would be the result? Who knew.

The Sith assault walkers had been slowly advancing on her position for some time now, and they were getting too frelling close. The eastern forces had collapsed and the central walker was down a leg. Its pilot was obviously countering this handicap with the other two remaining legs on that side, but the obvious limping gallop it displayed was like blood in the water to the Mandalorian tankers and Olivia herself. The beast would be going down soon. It was their job to ease it along.

For Olivia though, it marked a change in the flow of combat. It was time to advance what was capable of advancing. "One Bravo, detach from Squadron One and hold position. Engage until hostile forces are cleared from this site, repair damaged repulsors, then attach yourself to Squadron Two." She said into her communicator, speaking to the entire Squadron One. "The rest of Squadron One will activate repulsors and advance. Draw fire from the crippled walker and focus all weapons on its remaining left legs." (from Mandalorian point of view, the left leg was blown off.) A brief chorus of "Yes Commander." came from the sergeants commanding the other two tanks.

"Squadron Three." Olivia said, switching frequencies accordingly. "Cut 45-degrees to center and advance at full speed. Once directly behind primary walker, rotate formation to face the walker in standard line and continue approaching the city in reverse. Engage primary walker with all weapons."

"Yes Commander." Came the response of the Sergeant in command of Three-Alpha.

Switching frequencies once more, Olivia continued with her orders. "Squadron two. One-Bravo is joining your squadron. Hold position and engage VTOL and escort walkers. The rest of the company will be advancing. You are to remain behind, repair whatever damage you can, and advance when able."

"Yes Commander. Unit One-Bravo assigned to Squadron Two." Came the acknowledgement of Two-Alpha's Sergeant.

Olivia's eyes watched the battlefield through viewport and viewscreen as her tank lifted itself from the ground and lurched forward. A proton cannon round pinged off the roof of the tank as an enemy gunner clearly continued to fire at their previous position. A rookie mistake, but one likely to get corrected with violence in a moment. The next round to strike her vehicle would likely be better aimed. Another round bounced off the front armor of One-Charlie and another detonated on the hull of One-Bravo. One-Alpha and One-Charlie advanced at two-thirds speed towards the lead assault walker. Their four primary cannons fired as if a battery, aimed at remaining middle leg of the walker's left side. (from Olivia's point of view.) Far to the east, Olivia saw the three tanks of Squadron three moving forward at full speed, their weapons aimed center-mass at the broad-side of the assault walker as they fired. Ten mass-driver cannons, a collective double volley of twenty missiles, and a steady stream of anti-personnel lasers fired into the hull and shields of the assault walker.

To the west, Olivia watched as the tanks of Squadron Two rotated their turrets to track and fire at the light escort walkers. Anti-personnel lasers and missiles were fired as well, knowing that a lucky laser-round to a knee joint would be as effective as a mass-driver round to the chassis when it came to disabling a bipedal walker. Covering fire came from One-Bravo as well, its weapons still working despite whatever damage it had taken. Mass-Drivers, missiles, and anti-personnel lasers crossed the 300 meters in the blink of an eye to lash out at the light vehicles assaulting the Squadron. Two-Charlie's turret appeared to be rotating more slowly than the other two vehicles next to it. It had likely taken damage from the spattering of light weaponry that had lashed out at the Squadron.

Under her breath, Olivia cursed quietly. This fight was costing her too much. What was worse, the venerated Canderous tanks she employed were having a far harder time with these walkers than she had anticipated. In the future, changes would need to be made to prevent this from happening again. For now though, she tried to focus her attention on the battle at hand.

It was then that she noticed a dark shape approaching rapidly from the sky. <Who uses a Corvette in atmosphere?> Olivia thought to herself. Setting her communicator to cover Squadron One and Three, Olivia gave simple instructions to the five vehicles she would be taking with her into the city. "Continue advancing and focus fire on the walker. We'll deal with that Corvette once it gets here."
