Invasion The Republic Shall Fall [One Sith Invasion of Coruscant]

Location: Manarai Heights.
Objective: Hold the Wall.

When the Sith dropped down, he only advanced even closer to her, but then the torrent of seemingly endless Force lightning continued to slam into the shield that the lightsabers formed. He felt the burning sensation upon his hands, he felt his eyes involuntarily squinting against the crackling energy of the Force.

That wasn't how it was meant to be. It was meant to end with her dying, he realized and his grip only tightened, the hold the Force had over his legs only grew stronger with the determination and the inner darkness within Antares Windu told him to win.

There was no retreat for Antares Windu.

No giving up ground.

So he probably did what he shouldn't have done, he released the hold of the Force that was rooting him to the ground and he felt the Force lightning carry him backwards. He used the Force as well to carry his form back.

And then he rolled on atop the wall when he got back up in a crouch. The lightsabers were still up in a defensive position and finally, the force lightning wasn't potent enough to harm him.

Now, with the Sith in her weakened state she would lose. Surely, she couldn't have that much energy left?

So he ran straight towards her, zig-zagging on his way at her, the Force speed that he employed boosting his movements as he practically turned into a black blur (thanks to his robes) and when he was close enough released her lightsaber in a saberthrow.

But it was heavily guided on a single purpose to shear her in half and kill her on the spot. Antares didn't play games.

Could she redirect the saberthrow?

[member="Sokrai Ronaro"]

Sokrai saw the saber spinning at her, as she prepared for a quick death. But, the force, saved her life. The ferocious and furious anger, and severely large amount of the energy stopped the spinning blade. She looked up, and saw the saber, and now sadistically grinning, she used a force push, as the blurred lightsaber sped towards [member="Antares Windu"] at an incredulous speed. Sokrai just hoped he didn't move out of the way.

Due to the confusion due to some people misunderstanding the posts that were both half assed and done while tired, one more's being done to clear up just what was done before this character finishes in this invasion for OOC reasons.

Josh sighed as the Final Dragon flew through space. Coruscant was getting further and further away. He looked down at the datapad which contained a copy of any information from the archives that were Coruscanti Temple exclusive, and couldn't be found in the other temples. After that, he looked down at his hands, which were covered in blood. The Jedi Master, or soon to be former Jedi Master with what he had decided... Gave a shudder.

He had sent out a signal that sounded like he was sending out information... Two, to be exact. The Sith would busy themselves looking for it, and those certain hackers would be doing nothing but leaving themselves open for the Republic to take down... Sadly, the signal would be gone now, but if any had tried to crack it, all they would find would be a compilation of numbers, nothing more. A decoy, a trick...

The Jedi Master put the datapad down and dialed a number, hoping so much he could go wipe this blood off soon... He smelt like battle, he smelt like death... He smelt like the blood of the Sith he had sliced through on his way out.

He hadn't planned to come to the Temple, or to Coruscant... He was tired of battle, of warfare... But Carn had asked one last favor. And that was to come to the Temple should a major assault from the Sith or Mandalorians be launched on Coruscant... Get the information, and send it to a Jedi Temple in the possibility that the Temple on Coruscant would be burned down.

He had agreed, on the condition that nobody know he would be coming. He was on a hiatus, a sabbatical from the Order for awhile... He didn't want the other Jedi finding him and tracking him to his operations, unless he wanted to be found. He wondered now, if the Jedi would find out about his infiltration... Misunderstand... With Carn nowhere to be found, there was a chance they would think less of him should they mistake what he had done for treason. But it was something he was willing to accept... Every action has a consequence. And he had decided to take action and fulfill that promise.

His communication patched into the Jedi Temple in Ruusan. A hologram of one of the Jedi staying there would come up and he would smile faintly.

"I have information from the Coruscanti Archives that Master Dista requested be copied and moved" he said. "I will be en-route to Ruusan to deliver it by hand in case the Sith try to follow me and intercept it. Please do not inform anyone of my coming unless the worst comes to worst"

It was agreed on. And then it was done, the hologram disappeared.

Josh had made his decision last night, before the invasion began... He would leave the Jedi Order to help the galaxy in a way the current Order could not let him do.

It finally set in. What he was really doing.

He stared out again as Coruscant faded into the distance, as the ship rocketed into hyperspace... And he closed his eyes. Tears trickled down the Jedi Master's cheeks.

He had loved them. He had given everything for them. And now, it was time to move on.

The hardest thing he had ever done... His last commitment, his final mission... It was complete.

He let out a sob then. A grown man, a Jedi Master.. Sobbing. A rare sight. But nobody would be on board to see it.

One half of him felt free... Felt satisfied... For the years of service. And excited to be able to do the Jedi's duty again in full... The other half of him mourned for the brothers and sisters he was leaving behind. For the Order that even before this invasion was collapsing around him...

For it, he wept.

Antares didn't have time to waste, adapting Ataru to his own form of Makashi, he leapt up into the air, flipping with his blade above his head, the lightsaber passed underneath him, but not unhindered. The hilt was sheathed in half and penetrated the crystal's containment, vaporizing the crystal and permanently turning off the lightsaber.

A shame. Good thing it wasn't his own.

And then he began his downwards spiral onto the Sith, passing through whatever force lightning that she had to get to her. It was graceful, smooth, and quick. She would have less than a moment to stop him, but in her current shape with the continued usage of the force lightning, could she survive?

More ships were on their way right now, launched from a Ranator located just outside of sensor range, running on minimal power as to stay undetected during this entire attack. On board the shuttle were a large number of Blastech-armed I-10 probe droids, and a single living soul: Circe Savan. "Alright, get these torches into place. We're going to be cutting this specific door down. It'll give us direct access to both the vaults and the data ports." Pausing, she smiled, turning to her partners-in-crime. "Alex, make sure no one suspects any goings-on. Break, you go and lead the droids cutting the door open. Understood?" Seeing that everything was good, things would be going prim and proper. Pausing, she sensed two, if not more, of the Horde's members currently engaged against the Jedi. Considering that she needed them, since the(unknown to her) betrayal of Daella Apparine likely had shifted things more in the One Sith's favor, they were not needed.
Come, girls. You are needed elsewhere. Withdraw, leave the Jedi to the Sith. It is their struggle after all, not ours. Meet at the northwest corner of the Temple and tell the droids Cassandra sent you.

The Horde Warchief, amid the battle, noticed that [member="Antares Windu"] had taken notice of [member="Sokrai Ronaro"] and was engaging her upon the Wall. As the Horde/Sith forces began to continue to overwhelm the wall, any Jedi still caught on the wall would be ultimately doomed to a fate worse than death. As the Yuuzhan Vong hybrid monster finished tearing a turret to shreds, he turned towards the lone Jedi.

Narrowing his eyes, the Warchief reared back and readied himself.

The massive behemoth then threw his entire weight on top of the Jedi, attempting to throw him down with all four arms while placing his foot on the chest of [member="Antares Windu"].

They weren't here for honorable duels. The Horde had come here for victory.

Sokrai felt the lightsaber cut her down, as her right arm came off. She howled and collapsed in pain, as she fell unconscious from the sheer pain of her missing limb.

OBJECTIVE: SMOOSH TALLIA WITH POPO
ALLIES: [member="Dak Canton"] [member="Darth Veles"]
ENEMIES: [member="Tallia Farn"] [member="Popo"]

Death by a thousand cuts. That was the predicament that Darth Strider found himself facing. On one side was a Shell Hutt with a double-sided electrostaff, on the other a young Jedi Knight with two lightsaber blades. That was four offensive points that could deal damage, and Alen had only the one. Well, now he had two. His second blade seamlessly erupted into life as the two enemies attacked, and now the Sith Lord worked to bring his enemies' blades into the same sector so he could disarm them both in one fell swoop. The bearded man fell effortlessly into a dual usage of Tutaminis and Crucitorn, his blades were working furiously to repel the attacks, his wrists rotating with perfect technique and timing, but due to the sheer mass of strikes coming at him, some landed on his form by pure chance. Alen Na'Varro could tank with the best of them, but he was slowly being worn down.

That was before Canton started popping slugs their way, and a Mon Cal Sith Knight joined the fight. Na'Varro was battered, bruised and cut, but he would live. And Force damn it, he was one pissed off son of a blaster. Sheathing his second blade as Tallia Farn fell away to do battle with Darth Veles, Strider roared in fury. He did not like being on the bring of defeat. Now he had Popo to himself, and by the Force he would make him pay for every blow that he had dealt.

Electrostaffs were like saberstaffs in that they had a distinct disadvantage. Their length, combined with the Hutt's short arms, meant a limited range of motion, and only one end could attack at any time. A flurry of blows could be successfully defeated with use of timing and superior bladework technique. As Popo came forward, Alen gave ground, his Mastery of Djem So on display as he parried each blow with succession via slight rotation to his wrists and elbows. He maintained range against the Hutt, and as the electrostaff came at him again from his left, Alen weaved out of the way with a centred movement of his head and batted the staff on its current trajectory powerfully with his crimson lightsaber. Now both end of the electrostaff were to Alen's left. An opening that he had created himself was present; he would take it or die.

Stepping forward, he blasted a Force Push with his left hand at Popo's chin, looking to snap it back with sheer force. He followed up seamlessly with a stab of his lightsaber at what was hopefully the Hutt's exposed throat.

The force seemed to be on his side, but in a very, very, painful fashion. As HK and his group fired, Kerrigan's explosion of force energy slammed Vindica and his men out of the path of the projectiles. They flew back, skidding across the steps, each man in his own mind splitting pain, but as they halted, they moved instantly. Narrowly they avoided being smashed by a statue.

Vindica knew that to survive, he had to break his foe's line of site. Within an instant, he and his guard slipped into the chaos, surrounded by other Sith dressed as they violently clashing with Iron Company. There would be now way to pick them out from afar. But HK and his guard, all wielding their brilliant blue blades? They were hard to miss.

Darting back and forth through the crowd, he barely flinched as he watched other Sith have their skulls bashed in by the blow of an Iron Company soldier, those who failed to kill their foe, even with the force as their ally, were too weak to have any use. He felt nothing for them, none accept those who stood surrounded by their fallen foes, only being slain because of a lucky strike, those he regretted letting die, but he could do nothing.

Bursting out from the left flank of HK's group, he darted in quickly, striking at one of the guard's torso's before darting into the chaos once more. Bursting in from the right, his guards did the same with two others, quickly striking and fading back into the chaos. This was war, but now on his terms.

Sopher was unsure of why the One Sith came from. To him he thought they had eradicated all evil from the galaxy, the Empire was gone. He finished off some of the intruders and moved towards the larger gathering. He felt his Master towards that direction and knew that’s where he needed to go. No matter what he would stand by her. His boots echoed down the hallway at the moment he caught the conversations. Her words echoed in his mind and he felt the shift of her presence. Sopher stood still a hand resting on the cracked door frame.

Was this true? Was his Master one of them? He remembered her request when he became knighted, she had asked him to be her shield. Dropping his hand, he shook his head quietly and entered the room. His footsteps still echoing his confidence and he glanced towards the Masters. Moving closer, he drew his lightsabers from his legs, they didn’t ignite, but remained in his hands. His knuckles grew white as he took a place near Daella.

He didn’t need to say it, but today he kept his promise to her. He would for as long as he lived be her shield no matter the alignment.

The plasma torches were busy with regards to opening the wall up. A lot could be destroyed in the fighting if the battle grew too close to the archives, and it was because of that that she picked a torch up herself and got to work. "Alright... We've nearly got the wall down. Now it's time to get the vaults open. Last I remember from Alexandra, all the artifacts not on display in the library portion of the archives are located in three main vaults. Once we get inside, we'll quickly get to the vaults, open them up, and load their contents onto the waiting shuttles. We need to do this as soon as possible, alright?"

And with a clang, the wall was through. The droids pushed against it, making sure that it fell over - into the archives, crushing a computer terminal. "Alright. Droids, split up into teams of four and tackle each vault. I'll make sure no one comes this way. Alex, you stay near the doors to give us any warning. Break, I need you to start downloading all the archives' information and prepare to insert the virus once done."

A wide grin painted Ashe's face as she felt it; there was no mistaking her aura, no matter how many bodies she fled to or how many guises she bore. She'd spent too much time around her. The two were inexplicably linked by a power greater than any to exist, one as strong as the Force, one many thought was one in the same as the Force. Love.
Ashe hopped into the nearest Solace-Class, courtesy of the CIS, and began flicking and pushing different controls to activate its plethora of systems. The massive engines roared to life and the gold-lined metal canopy closed sealed above her head. It had been a long time since she'd flown it, the Mnenchei's first fully self-made starfighter. It was huge, and fairly heavy, but so too were the Mnenchei themselves in comparison to the races of Man. Her cockpit had an RRDI-made modification kit for humanoids installed, though she still felt slightly uncomfortable without tail room through the seat, hers bunched up messily behind her back. The fighter loaded onto the launch deck and was quickly catapulted out, headed off to fly straight for the overbearing presence.
The Solace hurdled into the atmosphere surrounded by a fiery blaze collecting on its waning dual shield system, flying awkward patterns to avoid orbiting and descending space junk created in the war that surrounded her. When she finally approached her landing zone and had the colossal city skyline in sight, the craft, heat and shield alarms ringing all throughout the cockpit in a Christmas tree of brightly colored lights, Ashe hammered the repulsorlifts against the well of the planet to pull the aircraft into a level plane and bleed most of its momentum. The blood in her body was forced against the front of he body as it maneuvered, her eyes quickly whiting out for a protracted instance. The starfighter finally landed with a thud on its deployed catapult landing gear.
A hasty vampiric foxtress blasted forth from the cockpit with unrivaled speed and stood stoically on its right wing, head to the skies as her iridescent icy-blue hair blew with the fiery winds of war.

Then suddenly her blade cut through two thin, wooden boards created from the crate she smashed. They were cut at an angle where the ends would become sharp and would be able to pierce the enemies. She hadn't ever came face to face with these creatures; known as the Vong. With the force she hurled them at her foes increasing their speeds mid air. They would pierce her opponents, but even that wasn't enough, their numbers seemed endless, and then there was the echo through the force that hit her. Her brothers and sisters falling. She shook her head and raised more projectiles.

As she launched those, her passive Farsight ability kicked in and it was within her vision that she saw the attack on Antares Windu, although they hadn't got off on the right foot in the beginning, he was still her brother in the force and she would not allow him to fall in battle without her trying to help. "Commander! Begin the retreat, enough lives have been lost today. Go and assist Aika Kawakami, with evacuating. I have to tend to some business first. I will be along shortly." she made her decision.

With that she rushed to the Wall with increasing speed. Along her way she cut down a long, and thin pole that she held in her opposite hand. Her initial maneuver to defend herself resulted in one of theses creatures weapons slicing right through the pole, with that she imbued it with the force, and maneuvered her way through the slight crowd of warriors. She had her running steps and with that launched herself into the air, her body took on a horizontal position and she spun in the air, going above the head of multiple opponents. She landed in the middle, and with her superior flexibility and reflexes she maneuvered herself through the crowd twisting and evading numerous foes. She utilized her makeshift staff and lightsaber to dispatch as many as she could, moving fluently throughout the now battlefield to get as close as she could to the wall.

She cleared a small circle around her, and then she jumped into the air once more, running on top of the heads of the opposing forces making her way to the wall that suffered heavy damage. As best as she could she launched the pole in her off hand towards the wall and it would fly between the group. As that would prove distracting she used the force to launch herself on top of the wall behind the massive creature.

"Step away... she said in her calm yet stern voice. Her facial expression was serious and her breathing was semi heavy from all that she had done to get here,

"Not now, honey. I'm busy." She sighed. The last thing she needed was manic fox action right now. "We've got to get these artifacts out of here before the Sith breach the archives and take them all." Knowing the computer systems were already being downloaded, in order for the data to be saved on board the shuttles, she sighed. "Are you going to help, or are you just going to wait there?" With a sigh, she returned to work, coordinating things. There wasn't enough time for any to be wasted.

"Shut up," Ashe blandly exclaimed as, with the wave of an arm to the side, she used a mix of telekinesis and faux fire to attempt to toss aside the naive woman who'd intercept her. A figure like her own would be easily dispatched by such a large kinetic force and temporarily blinded by the surreal light of the ball of flames that'd strike and engulf them. With that said and done, Ashe hopped off of the wingtip and slowly proceeded forward, into the facility where she'd no doubt find the one she was looking for, up to trouble as always.

Alexandra was more than ready for that and for some reason this woman thought that Alexandra, someone who used Telekinesis often, would be tossed aside like a rag doll. No that didn't happen, she skidded back and was more occupied with the fire though, that bit was dangerous and she took more than enough energy to douse what had got on her by darting to the side and then rolling the flames out before looking at @Enigma. His home was burning, all he'd ever had was falling apart, friends he'd had since he was but a boy, and he wasn't phased in the slightest. Cale held his sabers firmly in an 'X' shape as a Sith pressed down on him viciously. No sarcastic remarks, no taunts, he simply forced his way up, kicked the Sith back with a boot to the chest, then bisected him. Green eyes looked on, dead and cold as he moved to back Tallia in her fight against Vesles.

It had been years ago on this planet he was thrown into the street as a baby, found by two Nabooian 'missionaries' who lived a lavish life of luxury off funds no one knew where came from. He remembered the years before he first came to this temple, before he came home, he remembered every little word, all of them now. A single phrase had brought them back.

You Were Decieved
Then it all returned. He knew his purpose, he knew his mission. His sabers hummed hungrily as he neared Farn, a girl he'd been friends with since time as a padawan, but he wasn't looking to help. Not her. As she and the other Sith ruled, he shot in from behind, and swung, right for Tallia's back. The sleeper had awoken.

Just above the skyscrapers the Watts-Class Cruiser fought intermittently to maintain the allied airspace. The Jedi Forces on the ground hadn't given any ground since her arrival. Not even the destruction of their Temple could deter them. It was admirable really. Karen had though for sure they'd pull out and move their attention towards other combat hot-spots by now.

"Ma'am?"

"Keep us circling Lieutenant. They look busy down there. Let's just keep the skies clear so they can finish their fight. Destiny has a way of sorting these things out. Trust me."

"Aye aye Captain. Maintaining defensive posture."

The blue-haired Captain frowned as she peered out from the bridge. She was still wondering were this army of vagrant Sith had spawned from.
