It's hard not to hate. People, things, institutions. When they break your spirit, and take pleasure in watching you bleed; hate is the only feeling that makes sense.

Heat radiated from the crimson blade as it hung there in the air. Everything around it seemed to be distorted and hazy as smoke danced around Alicia like a spectre. Beneath her feet were the corpses of the militia guards and with their deaths Alicia had drunk in the taste of victory. As she stood there in the centre of all of it- the dark side swirling around her amidst the smoke, drinking in the carnage that had just unfolded at the entrance to the militia headquarters- Alicia sensed the confusion, the mere trepidation that found itself in the hearts and minds of the Stormtroopers Corveni had sent after her.

Their confusion was justified as too were their new found caution. As Corveni had correctly thought to himself before: the Empire held no such reservations for Force-sensitives in the modern day and age. But Alicia Drey was not known to be one, and so as the men watched on- their confused, anxious gazes concealed by the stoic mask of the Imperial Stormtrooper- Alicia knew that the cat was out of the bag. She had mauled, maimed and destroyed the militia out of necessity through the use of her power in the Force. They outnumbered her, and even with Stormtroopers at her back to help in the assault, the SMG holstered on her waist wasn't going to do the job.

So she had drawn her Lightsaber, her powers in the dark side, and unleashed an assault on the militia the likes of which they had never seen before, and as a consequence were no longer alive to tell the story.

Above her an explosion caught Alicia's attention and as she looked up she saw the AA Turret fall. Mere moments separated Alicia from her reunion with Corveni. She had sensed his suspicions but this carnage outside the headquarters was proof, and that would lead to questions that put into jeopardy her work.

"Sir? What are your orders?"

Alicia turned her gaze from the destroyed turret on the roof to the Stormtrooper. As she said Corveni's voice came in on the intercom.

"Agent Drey?" Lutin said. "Are you finished transmitting the data to command? We're going to have get to the Shield Generator ASAP."

Raising her hand to her ear Alicia deactivated the commlink. As she did, in a split second, Alicia had drawn the SMG into her other hand and turned to open fire on each Stormtrooper. The sudden attack had come out of no-where, and as one by one they fell to her gun fire, the others who were not in her immediate range turned to take over where the militia had once stood. Gathering all her fury into the attack Alicia danced between them- using the Lightsaber to deflect blaster fire- while the SMG administered the finishing blow.

In a matter of minutes Alicia had killed every Stormtrooper left over from the fight with the militia, and the surprise attack had been full of cunning. Whereas the militia in the courtyard had been murdered by a mixture of blaster fire and Lightsaber attacks the Stormtroopers had been felled entirely by a blaster. When it was done, and there was no-one left in the courtyard, Alicia deactivated her weapon and concealed it up her arm.

Raising a hand to her commlink Alicia contacted Corveni to say: "Force-user sighted in the courtyard. Everyone is dead but I am alive still." Her tones were frantic, her voice high pitched, the simulation obvious: Alicia was panicked by what had just happened. At least that was what she wanted Corveni to believe. "All my men are down but the entrance is clear. Be on the look out for a Jedi in the city."

Lowering her hand from her ear- the deception now in play- Alicia marched into the headquarters to find the provincial government of Lothal cowering in hiding. With her SMG pointed at all of them Alicia rounded them up into the centre of the room and commed Corveni again. "It looks like the militia leaders are here. Send a unit to secure them. I am continuing with the mission."

"Don't any of you move,"
Alicia barked at the officials while slicing into the headquarters mainframe. She made three copies: one for herself, the other for the NISB and a third for later.

Objective 3: Swatting Flies

Guiding his X-Wing, Kaul came out of Lightspeed and landed smackdab in the middle of a battlefield. "Looks like we're just in time for the party guys," Kaul announced to the group. Despite being outgunned, the Lothal Resistance was giving the Empire a run for their money. Kaul spotted a large wreckage next to the Star Destroyer. However, Kaul also saw that the Star Destroyer unleashed its entire load of missiles towards the Mon Calamari Light Cruiser. The ship attempted to get away from the onslaught. A Hammerhead cruiser accelerated in front of the Cruiser at least 10 missiles struck its port side blowing it up instantly.

"Damn....." Kaul observed the cruiser getting pounded missiles mostly on the port side and half of its engines. It stood still heavily damaged but mostly intact.

"R5," Kaul said. "Contact the Lothal Resistance fleet. All comms."

As soon as his Droid companion connected Kaul, he spoke into the radio. "This is Galactic Alliance Defense Force: Revenant Squadron," Kaul said. "We received word that the Lothal Fleet is in need of assistance."

Kaul held onto the controls and looked at his squad. "All right people," Kaul said. "We have TIEs heading towards the Light Cruiser. Let's give those bastards a taste of what we can do!"

Time to get to work Kaul touched the picture of his girlfriend: Neli Neli that was placed on the far side of his control panel as he smirked. "Set S-foils in attack position!" Kaul ordered.

The battle—this bandit in particular—was not yet finished. As the Miracle One sped past the stricken Z-’ceptor, Bella decided to leave the craft alone, in spite of the fact that it was still in one piece. Her shots had pierced through its cockpit and so, she judged the pilot’s chance of survival as virtually nonexistent. Not to mention, there were more targets to pursue, which were very much armed and dangerous.

In that, discipline won out over bloodlust. Bella whipped her TIE around in a g-force intensive drop-kick turn, leaving the Z-’ceptor to fly off into the void, unmolested. However, the Togruta took one last look at it as she passed, and that exact moment was when the Ugly broke into superlumininality before her eyes, thereby slipping into hyperspace.

Bella blinked, then shook her head. The pilot was surely dead. The most simple and probable explanation was that the co-pilot astromech’s self-preservation programming had kicked in, compelling the droid to take control of the craft’s flight systems before making the jump into hyperspace.

Satisfied, Bella raced back towards the fray. With a brief glance at her sensor readout, Bella saw that the House Mecetti TIE/mgs and her own elite pilots had cleared out most of the Uglies, with what were left either in full retreat or outright disabled. However, now there was the matter of the wider battle—including the X-Wings, A-Wings, and heavy bombers under the fleet of the Lothal Resistance.

And yet, there were more coming.

“Miracle element, regroup on me!” Bella directed her pilots over their shared channel. “Those Uglies caused the Mecetti fleet to lose the Gozantis…” She considered aloud. With the TIE/mgs caught in a furball, they had been unable to protect the Gozantis from the rogue Hammerhead which had jumped into the fleet. The enemy had created a miracle and Bella could only wince at the painful irony.

“What’s the play, Commander?” Reina piped up.

“The missile and ion cannon barrage from the Obscurer and the Darkfall will force the Dreaded to focus its shields towards those two ships.” Bella began. “That barrage will weaken its shields, if it does not outright overload them. As soon as that happens, we will swing around and approach the cruiser from its flanks, under ECM cover. What’s left of the Dreaded’s shields after the barrage will be redirected to face the Mecetti capitals. We will exploit that opening to make an attack run on their bridge.” The Baroness explained.

“Should we succeed, anything that is left of the Lothal Resistance fleet then, will crumble.”

"Knowledge is to be shared, studied and understood Jedi! Not to be hoarded locked up and forgotten!"
"Your betrayal of our treaties and intrusion here has brought my project of curation and preservation of Jedi Culture, Traditions, Art, and Artifacts to a premature uprooting and relocation. You lie and make demands whilst threatening to hurt the people who live here for your own gain. You come to take that which does not belong to you, that you do not hold with any measure of respect, and demand to know and steal its bounties without reverence to its origin, creation, purpose, or intent.

You lot are vile miscreants who know only avarice. You do not even think to ask with polite manners for such; instead, you believe might makes right and you take what you want with wanton and reckless abandon. I will not yield to such crass, uncouth, moral-less dogs of war."

Tirin's words echoed with a weight of authority and conviction, his voice carrying the firm resolve of one who would not be swayed by the greed and aggression of others.

Sicarius prepared to gather her Force powers to her for another attempt. This time intending to remove the bedrock from the Jedi's feet. If She could not directly harm him than perhaps she could make his environment more unstable allowing Shov to go in for the kill.

Tirin stepped up just a touch seemingly taking to a levitation of himself without much thought, any stone that came up or just jutted out seemed to Phase through him, but the response that came was that of more words.

"Before you proceed further, heed this final warning,"
Tirin's voice resonated with solemnity. "I implore you to consider the gravity of your actions and the consequences they entail. This temple on Lothal is not a treasure trove structure to be plundered and ransacked at your whim. It holds a sacred purpose, a legacy of training and teaching that transcends generations."

With a tone tinged with disappointment and reproach, Tirin continued, "This temple is a place of learning, where Jedi Masters imparted their wisdom to eager students, forging a special connection between teacher and pupil. It is a sanctuary of enlightenment. You dishonor the memory of those who came before you, those who dedicated their lives to the pursuit of knowledge and the preservation of peace," Tirin's words carried a weight of condemnation, chastising the intruders for their reckless disregard of the temple's significance.

"You stand as purveyors of chaos and desecration, tarnishing the sanctity of this hallowed ground with your callous disregard. And you should feel the weight of that moral bankruptcy upon your conscience, for it is a burden you alone must bear. Turn back now, lest you face the consequences of your actions. This temple will not yield to your greed and disrespect. Leave now, and do not return."

On Taris

Aurine had a mundane boring day so far, and soon the work day would be done. Running the the family businesses was often fun and just as often boring. She sat in a rounded chair looking out the curved transparisteel windows upon the Tarisian sea. The almost half circle room at almost the top of the companies tower was propose built for the Were CEO's. A slender fellow Sephi marked with his own family tattoos in a nicely tailored work suit with the Werr Drive Yards (WDY) pin on the lapel walks into the top floor tower office after an initial knock. "Miss Werr I hate to interrupt but you have a message coming across our private network. Its from the Recusant WDY-I2D3 the captain was demanding to speak to you."

She sighs Great, either this is going to suck or improve my day dramatically Turning toward the secretary and giving a quick nod "Alright lets see what he has to say. Computer, set the windows to forty percent opacity. Lets see what he has to say." They both turned to the holo projector that quickly brought up the image of the captain.

Objective 3

(Minutes ago)
Above Lothal the Werr Shipping & Security Recusant slipped out of hyperspace to bring the organic matter & nutrients amounts other goods contracted to the planet. Normally a boring & routine route... not today. Captian Theil is greeted by a full scale battle raging above the world Gods! that's not what I expected. He barks orders "Everyone, stations code yellow. Power up the frontal shields so we don't take stray shots. Keep the ship's position here. I am going to the holo room to talk to the boss." With those words the mix of Sephi and droids manning the terminals reply with aye aye.

He walked quickly down the hall from the bridge passing two droids and a few doors before turning right, using a security card to go through the door. Inside was a holo projector & receiver for their private Veil network. Bringing up a call with Headquarters of WS&S he, after a few minutes gets his audience with CEO Werr. Her form appeared in the bluish colors of the holo and he responded with a salute to the right side of his face "Thank you for talking so quickly with me, I am Captian Theil of the WS&S. We have arrived at Lothal for our routine drop off of good and picking up AG ones. Well when we arrived there seems to be a war going on.... could you talk to them?"

Her form shifted "That does seem to be a problem, And thank you for bringing this to my attention. Patch me through to the local channels." Captain Theil nodded "As you direct." he turns to a console typing on the keyboard then flicking a few switches. Upon all ships that have holo projectors gets the silhouette of Miss Werr "Hello all, I am CEO of Werr Shipping and Security. Who can I talk to so my ships contract can be completed?" With that Aurine waited to find out what was going on.

Sicarius scowled as Shov reprimanded her. She had done what every other Sith would have done, attached pressed the advantage, and if she had had her lightsabers won the day. Without them while she wouldn't say she was defenseless, it was possible perhaps that her sills and knowledge of the Force weren't quite as great as those of the Jedi. Previously it had never been an issue considering herself more of a blademaster than a wise shaman, but todays events had left a stark contrast of her skills.

Sicarius sniffed with contempt as the Mandalorian attempted to reason with the Jedi as well. Everything she had heard of Mandalorians were that they were great warriors but here was one spouting philosophy as if they themselves were a Jedi.

Besides she was hardly a fanatic, she would not throw away her life so easily for anyone or any cause. Perhaps if she had been she wouldn't have been imprisoned. Fortunately Sicarius believed her worth and her work enough that she put up with such situations regardless of their inconvenience.

Unfortunately a significant amount of her work was hinged on sacred artifacts like the one they hoped to find in the temple. As it was it was looking like they would never enter the Temple easily. Force forbid that they actually be required to retreat.

"This is ridiculous we outnumber the Jedi three to one." Sicarius muttered under her breath.

That advantage seemed to slip through their fingers as the Mandalorian declared themselves to be a neutral party.

"An outside consultant?" Sicarius gasped incredulously.

One moment they had held a numerical and firepower advantage of 3 to one now an entire factor was declaring itself outside of the current balance of power. Without her lightsabers Sicarius was limited and no matter how martial Shov claimed to be, Sicarius severely doubted he would be able to take on such an able force user by himself.

Sicarius listened with barely concealed scorn as the Jedi prattled on in sophistry. Claiming to defend sacred rights and traditions. Sicarius knew the truth. Jedi would wrap themselves up in moral veils while truly doing anything and everything to hold on to their power. They were more than willing to make alliances to suit themselves or whatever power they happened to be a part of in order to preserve the power that they held. Their fanaticism a shield from which they could hide behind, while all but committing ritual suicide for the good of their Order.

Still their skills with the Force had been impressive and Sicarius was content to let Shov sort out this mess as best he could. If he insisted on being in charge so be it. It would be his call not Sicarius and he could be the one to explain to Velran their failure.
