The Restoration of Ahto City [The Republic]

@[member="Vladimir Kirov"]

"Thankyou that will be most helpful. We need to get the materials and equipment from the main ship over to the reconstruction site. If you and your men could do that please I can then have the builders begin work. We have droids and men ready to proceed, I hope it will not take up to much of your time before you need to report in", she said with a smile.

"I shall meet you over at the site", she turned and walked behind the main tent now housing the injured. The medical bay is located just east of the tent and close by the now, waters edge, it would also need to be reinforced and the foundations strengthened as it sits perilously close to the damaged city structure.

Leori smiled. "Of Course, I'd be glad to," she replied to A'dele. "It would be an excellent training opportunity indeed." The woman of course did not expect A'dele to actually change her usual habits. She gestured for the Jedi Knight to lead the way. "Let us meet the healers and see what we need to do."

She could hear the conversation nearby between Coci and Vladimir Kirov. It was comforting to hear that there would be additional security while they made the necessary repairs to the city. She noted his lack of eye contact though now was not the time to inquire about it. There was work to do.

"Very well, I will get on the comm with m squad and arrange as many volunteers as I can and we will meet you as you request. I will ensure it doesn't interfere with our original assignment at all. It would be helpful if you could send me a copy of the materials and equipment you need delivered to my datapad."

Vladimir was thankful to have a task and to be free from what must have felt like an awkward conversation to the woman. Getting on his comm he raised his squad. "I have an assignment for any volunteers that are already settled in and ready for something to do, nothing glorious but certainly important, I need anyone who wishes pitch in to meet me at the main ship, no need for any gear." He received a few affirmative responses even though the conversation didn't require them, it was a good sign at least a few volunteers would show.

Turning towards the main ship Vladimir crossed the distance quickly and waited for volunteers to show. A good half dozen men and women showed up from his squad, he smiled slightly uncomfortably, he wasn't entirely used to giving orders to women yet, back home he had been little more then a grunt but these women were used to taking orders from all sorts of people so it wasn't a problem. "We need to unload equipment and materials from this ship, I have a copy of everything we need here." He looked at two of the men directly. "Go arrange for a lifter droid and a half dozen hover carts, I imagine some of this equipment and materials are rather heavy."

With that the rest of the squad stepped forward to examine the list of materials on his datapad he handed it off to one of the women and stepped away to take a look for the supplies and equipment they needed. It was all very organized and he spotted most of what they needed almost immediately, he glanced back at his squad seeing the lifter droid and the hover carts being hauled their way. They set to work quickly unloading carts full of equipment and supplies and began hauling it to the location indicates by the woman who had requested their help in the first place.

After a couple of trips back and forth all the requested materials were delivered, he found the woman who had asked for his help in the first place and quietly approached again waiting for her acknowledgement before speaking.

As Vladimir's men and women brought the necessary supplies for the reconstruction, Coci moved toward the medical bay and pass. The structure seemed secure enough from the surface, but she had no way of know if the foundations remained solid and would support the new structure. This was not her area of expertise. She turned around again to see Vladimir approach her.

"Thankyou .. your soldiers are a great help", she sighed, "We need to establish if the foundations are still ... secure before building can commence, have you an experience with this? as I have none", she asked.

Looking at the building and keeping his eyes locked there Vladimir shook his head, "I am afraid not, but the demolition expert in my squad likely would. I would imagine you would need to know a thing or two about how a building stands to know how to bring it down."

Vladimir had never had to pass through such a heavily damaged building outside of training exercises and he had not been with this squad long but he already felt he understood them. He was confident they would be able to get the information the woman wanted without any issues or casualties and they would certainly be able to report back before an engineer squad arrived to do the same. He glanced at his chrono quickly getting a sense of the time before continuing his thought.

"Would you like us to go in there and clear it before anyone else? I would hate to see anyone hurt in there, my people have done similar in the past we could safely get in there assess the damage and report back here. Or would you prefer to join us? I can confidently say you would be safe with my people, then you could get first hand reports and have a better sense of how to set up here sooner my lady."

Finally looking back towards @[member="Coci Sinopi"] Vladimir waited for her reaction, he had accidentally slipped back into old speech patterns from back home, he hoped she wouldn't notice. His cultural background kept creeping up on him causing him to slip, something about this woman reminded him of the women back home, particularly the noble women. Not her mannerisms, she wasn't anything like the women back home that way, she addressed him as an equal but there was something she couldn't place.

Vladimir's team proved more skilled then was first expected by Coci and they would be the best to asses the situation of the structure and ascertain if it was sound. "Thankyou Vladimir, I will come and see the situation too, there is always room to learn more things", she said with a smile. She was hiding the reaction to his calling her My Lady, something she had not heard from a complete stranger for a long time. Another calls her by this way, but that was for much different reasons.

"I shall let you lead the way", she said, as she began to move toward the damaged part of the building but would wait for the soldiers to enter first.

Nodding slightly in response to Coci Vladimir turned around to gather his squad, he asked for their continued assistance with the request the woman had for them and after a quick briefing of the objective he got on the comm to his CO.

"This is Vladimir Kirov, we have picked up a volunteer assignment assisting with securing a structure for the medical team, they have requested that we enter the structure and ensure it is structurally sound before they move their people and equipment inside. I am formally requesting that the entire squad be assigned to this task, we can get it done before an engineer squad could be assigned and I am confident our demolitions expert will be able to do the job just as well."

He waited patiently for the response as his squad formed up, Vladimir was confident the answer would be affirmative. It didn't take long for the official affirmative response to come through, and a transfer of his command to work directly for the medical team in whatever capacity they required until new orders came through. With that done he placed a call through to the rest of the squad ordering them to join them with gear to clear and secure the medical structure.

Half an hour later the rest of the squad had rejoined them at the entrance to the structure ready to move out, they all wore light armor and were armed just in case, who knew what was in there, better safe then sorry after all. "Ok folks, this is a simple clear and secure mission, we are going to make sure everything is safe for the medical team so they can set up more permanent facilities as soon as possible. No unnecessary risks, we aren't going to put any more burden on the medical team."

Seeing affirmative nods from his entire squad Vladimir glanced at Coci before proceeding into the building leading the squad from the front, the demolitions expert at his side. They moved slowly inward the rest of the squad keeping their eyes open for any threats as Vladimir used his datapad to read a map of the structure to lead them to the first of the main support columns. They would move from column to column, inspect them carefully for stress fractures, if it was safe they would move on to the next, if it was not they would mark it for the engineers to be shored up before moving on. If they came across something that was somehow impassable they would have to find a way around because they couldn't risk moving anything that would be a job for the engineers and their droids that would follow.

It is dark down below the structure of the building, but Coci's black eyes adjusted quickly and she could see more then most, a natural talent of her eyes. She pierced the darkness to watch as Vladimir's men and women moved with expert grace through the structure. Educated eyes looking over all aspects of the structure and busy with reports. Her scanners showed no sign of life apart from those within their group. But the force told her otherwise.

Her head snapped up as she searched through the force to locate the life form, it is faint and fading but there.

"I can sense something .. someone", she whispered, as if talking to herself. She began to move to the right, some debris blocking a what appeared to be a corridor leading further into the deep structure. "Vladimir, someone is trapped down there", she said pointing toward the blocked corridor. Her feet trod lightly on the surface of the floor, no sound issued from her foot falls as if not wishing for the building to know of her intentions.

"We must try and rescue them, they are still alive". she said looking back to the team.

Underwater Agricultural Kolto Beds

The soft humming continued for the Shi'ido, a nice soft pace. Calm. Peace. It was as pure of a meditation as Erinyes could get along the lines of that of the Room of a Thousand fountains.

There was just something reassuring and comforting in this simple task; with every light touch of her fingers dipping into the soft sand, planting a small kolto seedling and then feeling the lightness of the water over her body as she swam forward a bit to repeat the action.

This was a perfect example of what it meant to be a Jedi. In this moment, Erinyes was at peace with that.

As [member="Coci Sinopi"] charged forward to the indicated wall, she move so silently he could only marvel at her skill for a moment. He snapped out of it quickly though and moved forward, not anywhere near as quietly, his equipment made that all but impossible, his squad closed the distance to the blocked corridor.

“How far back is this being? Can we blow this debris or are we going to have to dig it out?” His question was posed to both Coci and his demolitions expert, he knew his squad mate could tell him how structurally sound enough to withstand a blast and he hoped the woman would be able to answer from her perspective.
