The royal party

Revamp slowly rose up, allowing his imposing height to really show as he towered over everyone else and spoke in well-mannered Basic.

"I am Vinskk Revamp, King of Trandosha, son and loyal servant of the Scorekeeper."

Short, sweet, and to the point. That was the way the Trandoshan liked his speeches. Sitting back down, a certain smell hit his nose, rising above the scents of food, drink, and Force users. It was difficult to pinpoint, but it was most certainly not a good smell, and it was coming from something or someone nearby...

A...creature...that had hair literally growing out of it's face, it appeared, was sitting right across from Vinskk. Could it be a musty smell from it's fur, perhaps? The Trandoshan shrugged the scent off. He was here to make allies, not to go sniffing scents out. And so the Trandoshan King sat and watched as others gave their introductions as well...

Once the Trandoshan had made his introduction, Kurayami stood looking to those gathered and giving an informal nod. It was a friendly gesture, a show of respect towards them. He was never one to talk too long for such things.

"It is not often that I find myself in such esteemed company. My name is Kurayami Bloodborn, owner and proprietor of Nubia StarDrives."

That was all that was really necessary for an introduction, he was more than happy to speak about other things, but he saw no reason to mention his ties to the Silver Jedi, the Mandos, or make any mention of his ability as a Force user. These were all minor details in his mind, though others may have viewed such differently than himself. It he made no attempt to hide his aura, and yet he did not radiate light nor did he exude darkness. Some would refer to him as a Gray Jedi perhaps, but to him the Force simply was.

Cameron had not elected to assume a position at the table once his brief...interaction with [member="Stardust Raxis"] was complete. Instead, the dark-skinned Corstris native made his way to a waiter that had just emerged from the kitchen area and was preparing to service the esteemed company at the main table. Before the individual could pass him by, the Sith Lord held up a single hand, flashing a thin smile. "It is not my intention to impose, but might I trouble you for a glass of still water?" The waiter seemed...almost confused, but offered a shallow nod and promise to do so once they were done bringing the items on their current tray to the waiting guests.

No sooner had Cameron's conversation finished than an unidentified messenger approached with a simple message for him. Arching a curious brow, he took the offered datapad and briefly read the message. Cameron did not laugh or smile in response...though internally he was rather amused. After handing the datapad back to the messenger, Cameron thanked the man and turned to watch the remainder of the introductions. In a matter of minutes, the waiter returned with his water.

The Sith Lord sipped the cool liquid casually. Once the Twi'lek departed to freshen up, he too would initiate a casual place to the appointed place of rendezvous.

Hemmrie realized that the only way to make sure he was going to end up staying at the party was to fit in. So he did just that; while he had had a bit to drink, he used it to his advantage, grinning as he stood and straightened his jacket. He cleared his throat, stumbled a bit, and waved to everyone.

"Good day, everyone! I am Count Aballester Grassnisus the 4th of our glorious neighboring planet of... of..." he stumbled a second and took a long sip of his wine. "Pardon me, I've had a bit to drink already, heheh..." Hemmrie wasn't actually that drunk, and to those around him, he sure sounded like he was. But his cover was actually believable. "I haven't been to a nice party like this in many months, it seems; been too busy with my citizens, and the reconstruction of a cantina in mid-city that they decided to... burn down, heheh. But I'm, I'm GLAD to be HERE, celebrating our lovely Queen's celebration here! Let us drink merrily!" He finished his wine and speech and slumped back down into his seat, hoping his cover was good enough for those around him.

Hemmrie was a bit of a master con artist himself, though most wouldn't expect as much from a humble homeless galactic hitchhiker. He just hoped it was believable enough for the other guests; especially the terrifying looking Transocean King [member="Vinskk Revamp"] who sat before him... The last thing the Bum wanted to do was call him a 'Monkey Lizard' a second time...

Bartic listened to a couple of the introductions it was becoming clear to him that large man with the flashy entrance would be his biggest companion so far, he could see it in her face, something about him mystified and enthralled her, Bartic would need to keep an eye on him. The cycle of went around that table reaching Bartic, it was now his turn to introduce himself.

Bartic stood up and did a bow towards the Queen before speaking, "This is an excellent party your grace. I am Bartic Myth'rand, Director of the Dominion Security Bureau, and one of the few named as a 'Hero of Atrisia'. It is a pleasure to make all of your acquaintance."

He spoke those last words while looking at [member="Cameron Centurion"], to a casual observer he was merely turning to address the other suitors, to the handful of agents he had brought as guards it was a code. <One of you is to tail this man, do not interfere, report back with anything of note he says or does.>

Getting a read on the other was far too easy, it was far too clear that the man claiming to be one 'Count Aballester Grassnisus the 4th' was a fake, how he had managed to get to the queen's table was something Bartic would like to know, it must have taken some skill to get there, he obviously had the raw talent if he could be cleaned up and taught some manners he would make good agent for the Dominion, Bartic would have to talk to him later if he didn't get kicked out.

Rayen Katoka.. a beautiful young lady coming from Belasco.. to be more exact, she was the Queen of Belasco. When she had heard of a Royal Party going on at Imahalyan and she couldn't miss out on it. She had been working hard and doing what she could to restore her planet to the best it could be. Finding resources on an ice planet was pretty tough though, unless you found the right people with a tough spirit who was willing to work in the ice and snow.

So Rayen had come to the world to relax for a little bit and possibly make friends while she was there. She had arrived after the party had started, but she at least wasn't too late. Her appearance was classic as she wore a flowing blue dress. It was a dress she had been wanting to wear, but could never find the right occasion to do so. So she decided to wear it tonight. It fit her well and she looked fairly pretty. Her hair was done and she wore her tiara. She may have been pretty formal, but she lived a formal life.

Walking in, alot of people could be seen.. alot of men.. she was curious as she hadn't realized what type of party this was. Maybe she'd still be able to hang out and talk to some people. Not many other girls were around other than [member="Stardust Raxis"], who looked beautiful in a dress that complimented her complexion. She didn't know her exactly, but she had definitely heard of her before.

Stardust gave a kind smile to then all, she looked them over listening to the different titles and such they held, some had her interest but....that sith still had her major interest....mostly out of curiosity of what he meant by his words...

She looked to the newcomer and gave a smile, she hadn't expected any other queens to be here despite her putting a message out to any and all, so when she entered she stood and spoke

your highness a pleasure you could join us, welcome to this party of mine....please please sit and enjoy the food and drinks you've not missed much I can assure

With that she sat down and looked to the men at her table and then addressed them with a kind smile glancing at them all

again a pleasure for you all to travel to my planet to visit for this party

A servant came and whispered in her ear as she listened and nodded as she looked back to them

seems the dance shall be starting soon, please allow me to go freshen up a bit and then I will dance with you fine gentlemen...and maybe woman

She bowed her head and stood, she nodded to [member="Avin Starfire"] for him to follow to the city hall as she walked back up the steps and into the city hall to a private room that had been setting up for her. Her council came milking about speaking almost all at once

<well what do you think?>
-any worthy your highness?
+someone has to have your interest+

She held a hand up and silenced then as she rubbed her temples

the party has barely started and your just bothering me about it calm yourselves and leave that alone I will choose when I find the one I feel is worthy for now shush!

She said as they bowed and apologized, she adjusted her dress and pit some shoes on for dancing as she stood and looked to avin whispering

head to the party I need to go and meet with someone don't worry about me at all...jist make sure the party goes smooth I'll return

With that she stood and started a casual brisk pace for the fountain, once she got there she waited for that sith...her sense on guard as she could say she was curious...but suspicious...

Avin nodded to [member="Stardust Raxis"] before leaning in to whisper to her

"I'll be on comm's if you need me, just stay safe."

No sooner had the words left his mouth he stepped back and bowed towards the gathering in the council chamber before pushing back through the main doors. Making his way down the steps Avin waved his hand for two other members of the royal security detail to join him. They made their way into the main congregation sweeping through the back halls of the palace building. The minimalist but expensive looking woods and marble guided their way to a back door left of the main bar.

Avin nodded towards the scruffy and half-drunk looking noble pointed out by the Queen.

"Cover his exits, if he tries to run then try and make any action low key. Oh and Jaret radio in his appearance. Let's go."

He watched as the two other men descended on the crowd before Avin himself made a slow but sure approach to the scruffy 'count'.

Avin removed his hat before pulling out a seat beside the man.

Avin almost wretched as the smell hit him. The smell of garbage and old dairy didn't have the best attempts at enticing anyone, especially not royalty. Avin attempted to make eye contact and turned his chair to face [member="Hemmrie the Bum"].

"Hello count Grassnisus how are you doing this fine evening? My name is Lieutenant Commander Starfire of the Imahaylan royal navy I was wondering exactly what planet you said you were from as I'm afraid I didn't quite catch it. How about another drink? Whiskey maybe?" Avin pried for information and waved his hand at one of the many waiters situated around the hall.

Hemmrie drank merrily to himself as he sat opposite the terrifying Transocean king [member="Vinskk Revamp"]. Every time he looked up, he worried that he may have gained his attention, attention he did not want. But now, this Lieutenant @Avin Stardust , was introducing himself, and it worried the poor bum. Damnit, he wasn't used to this sort of upper class nonsense.

He thought quickly, and smiled quite surly to the navy man, slapping him on the back with a hearty hand. "Good day, Commander Starfire! Enjoyin' our celebrations for your glorious queen, I hope? Where'd the young lass get off to?" He chuckled as he stood and toasted the rest of the table with a glass of strong wine.

"To the Queen! In good health, and to good relations with my dear planet of-" he thought quickly. He had just come from the planet the noble had indeed been the Count of, and he used it to full advantage "-Annaj, glorious, free Annaj!"

He sat back down and leaned in close to the soldier, and he smiled to himself as he saw his nose twitch ever so slightly, probably in disgust. He could use this. "Whatssat? A drink? Whiskey sounds absolutely delightful, lad! Also, don't mind the perfume; we tend to douse ourselves innit, potent stuff! Errhh, Rodian, I assume."

He turned to Vinskk before him and sent a quick glare that he hoped would get his attention. The Transocean king would know who he was, and probably want to kill him. But right now, that was the least of his problems; Hemmrie didn't want to stop drinking, and if they caught him out, he wouldn't have a choice. "Hey, uhh... King! King Revamp, eh? Rememb'r our huntin' trip together, only a few years back? We bagged... we bagged plenty, didn' we?" He chuckled, and hoped he wasn't about to be slaughtered.

Poor Hemmrie only wanted a bloody drink.

[member="Stardust Raxis"][member="Rayen Katoka"][member="Bartic Myth'rand"][member="Cameron Centurion"][member="Kurayami Bloodborn"]

Cameron had lingered in the main hall for only a moment or so longer than was required to finish his quick drink. Exhaling softly, the dark-skinned noble departed the party and made his way gradually towards the appointed place of rendezvous. The longer Cameron walked, the more aware he became of uninvited company. It wasn't that the men sent by [member="Bartic Myth'rand"] were necessarily incompetent. The simple reality was that the Sith Lord was traversing a mostly unoccupied area of the edifice.

With every breath and footstep, the men identified themselves to Cameron's enhanced hearing. Further more, their presences in the Force contrasted rather sharply with the otherwise still, tranquil environment around them. Even the most stealth of assassins would be hard pressed to meld with the subtle ebb and flow of nature...lest they have a considerable amount of training in a great many disciplines pursued by force users.

Allowing a thin smile to play on his lips, Cameron came to a gradual stop near the fountain. Silver-green eyes rested on the slender form of [member="Stardust Raxis"]. "Your Majesty. Be aware we have an audience that I rather doubt you invited." Cameron's thin smile slowly broadened. "It must be my charisma that draws such attention."

Sarcasm. Obviously.

"Eh? Hunting trip?"

Revamp didn't remember any hunting trip with this...Human. It was a human, after all. He just had a mess of hair covering his face. The stench hit him again, more potent this time.

"What in kark's name...ugh. I do not have the misfortune of hunting with you before, Human. Your stench would have for sure driven my prey off."

He had smelled that stench before. It was familiar, and bad enough to be discernible from other rotten scents the Trandoshan had experienced in the past.

"But I have smelled you before...upon Hypori. Yes, I remember now...where was it...ekkk..."

Fortunately for the hobo, his putrid odor was distracting the Trandoshan, who was now covering up his sensitive nose. Vinskk knew were that smell was from. He just couldn't think straight enough for a second to pinpoint who it belonged to.

Stardust looked as she watched the sith appear, however comi.g with him she felt others as well, she gave a look around as she moved closer and gave a rwpctagul bow and smile as she eyes around

I'd say so, you sure you didn't whisper those words you whispered to me to them?

She said as she gave a smile to him a kind one, she took his hand as she gently pulled him along moving close to whisper

just follow me I know a place i use around here for people who visit me

She moved to a house that looked empty, she typed on the code pad then opened the door as she entered, once he was in she looked around the place and closed the door as she looked at him with a business game on

I will say again your bold...stupid...but have my interest...usually a sith Lord only has my interest when I'm fighting them...but you...i don't know...so tell me...what are you here for? What's your interest in me?

It was a honest question and had no hostility to it...she wanted to know why he was here...and his interest in her...she was greatly curious as to why

Cameron didn't really offer [member="Stardust Raxis"] much of a response until they had been sequestered in their new location. Once they were well and truly alone, there was little reason to keep up false pretenses. Clasping his hands behind his back, he gazed down at the Twi'lek with a neutral expression.

When the Sith Lord spoke, his voice held a much a more steely edge. "You are entertaining suitors to a throne because of the urging of some bickering nobles, and I am the one that is stupid?" The question was completely rhetorical, so Cameron continued. "I'll ignore the irony of anyone that claims hostility against Sith while simultaneously serving an individual whom principally has been trained as a Sith." Cameron was referring to Sieger and the past that, apparently, the overwhelming of the First Order was not aware of. "As for my interest in you, I have none. I do however have an interest in freeing you from the so-called and apparent prison of public opinion."

Pausing, Cameron stepped to the side, initiating a casual pace as his eyes roamed his surroundings. "Though I, officially, speak only for myself, I unofficially speak for the improvement of the First Order's society. If you wish to be so associated into the future, it is not in our interest for you to be...how shall I say...shackled by the perception of others or a half-baked relationship with any of the attendees I have seen thus far." Stopping, Cameron briefly allowed the irony of his own statements to set in before pushing it aside entirely. It was a different matter. "I am here to give you a choice. You can give me the names of the nobles whom would most inspire the others to back down and accept their role of subservience to the Throne. Or..."

A warm, genuine smile played on Cameron's lips now as he gazed at Stardust. "...you can leave it up to me to discover that information on my own. I should caution you the latter will undoubtedly end in a great deal more bloodshed than is strictly necessary." Allowing his smile to neutralize into more of a smirk, the Sith Lord added nothing further.

Avin sat listening to the old man spin his words with the vicious looking tranoscean. before placing a firm hand on [member="Hemmrie the Bum"] 's shoulder and standing up abruptly.

"Perhaps we may enjoy our whiskey outside, I know some fellow counts from this planet that would love to talk about possible business deal's and the queen may even join us later. So what do you say?" Avin urged the man to his feet and half bowed to [member="Vinskk Revamp"] who sat across the feasting table. "If you may excuse us your royal highness" Avin bowed again and wrapped his arm around the "Count" 's shoulder and urged him towards the door giving a nod to his two companions incognito amongst the rest of the noble crowd.

Avin had seen his fair share of fat cats but this was possibly the most expensive group of people he had met as of yet and here he was checking on identity fraud. Though he did not want to cause a commotion and furthermore a bum this good at infiltration could come in useful in his line of work.

[member="Cameron Centurion"]

The snile she had slowly faded into a frown as she listened her arms crossed, she knew something was up with him and now...well seems star was now wrapped up in a big mess

She looked at him as her fists clenched...he wanted the names of her council? So he could...he wasn't serious but...his voice was very to the point, she bowed her head a a she looked at him and spoke

I'll...ill give you the names...but here's the agreement I went...if I'm doing this in getting my terms in...i won't marry one of the nobles here...ill...ill...ill marry the one closet to me...my guard....jist let me get through this party and the names will be yours...as...im sure there will be a uproar from them on my...choice

She said as she frowned...she didn't like this choice one bit...but it was necessary
[member="Avin Starfire"]

Cameron's face remained a mask of something between indifference and amusement. Following a slow exhale, the noble offered a response. "You are your own person and may do as you please, Your Majesty. I am not here to run your life or your social affairs. I am, however, here to remove a cancer you seem otherwise unable or unwilling." Stepping closer, Cameron lowered his deep voice to just above a whisper. "Don't make a decision that creates a new malignant growth."

Stepping back, Cameron's eyes shifted briefly. "Think the names of the individuals at the top of the hour. Do not speak their names or write them down." Reaching a hand up towards [member="Stardust Raxis"]' face, the Sith Lord allowed his presence to brush strongly but not forcefully against her own. "When you feel that, allow me inside. I will extract the names and the work will be done. By dawn...you will be..."

Cameron did not finish the statement, allowing the Twi'lek to infer as she so desired. Was she free? Liberated? Blessed? Animosity was all that the dark-skinned human left in his wake as he departed the building to which she had guided them. It would only be a matter of time before he returned to the...party at large.

[member="Cameron Centurion"]

Stardust held silent now, she felt his presence in her and shivered before she nodded silwntly, she watched him leave as she sat her back against the wall...what had she done...she had made a deal with the devil...she knew she had....either way she would commit something greatly evil

She raised her comm to her mouth, she went to speak then couldn't, she then spoke with a low tone to [member="Avin Starfire"]

meet me at the fountain, and whike we walk back I have a few things I wanna tell you that...is long overdue

She then stepped out as she waited by the fountain now, her mind was now in turmoil, could she have the council that she had ruled with for five years killed off like that? Part of her said no...the other said let it happen so she may break her bonds...only time would tell now...
[member="Vinskk Revamp"][member="Kurayami Bloodborn"][member="Bartic Myth'rand"][member="Bartic Myth'rand"][member="Rayen Katoka"]

Though outwardly all the others would see was a slight smile, inwardly Kurayami was greatly amused by the commotion surrounding the 'Count' of Annaj. He did find it strange that Stardust hadn't made her return yet, but by the same token he did know that such things could take time. Given that she was still curiously absent and he did notice the leaving of the Sith who had taken the most direct route during the introductions, it was not difficult to figure out that there was some matter of business being attended to. He shrugged and continued to sip at his drink as other people began to ready themselves for the upcoming dance.

Admittedly that was not one of his strong suites, he never had been a good dancer. Sure he was agile, but he had no experience dancing, Raylia had tried to teach him long ago but that had ended in what was at the time a rather awkward position. Once his second goldwine was gone, he waved over a waiter and took a glass of water. The dynamics at play here were interesting to say the least, and the Trandoshan king had seemed to at least recognize the man who had been escorted from the building. It was clear that he was keeping an eye on those around him, yet he didn't seem bothered by the presence of any. Granted he had never been one for small talk and was unlikely to start up a conversation with others here, that didn't mean he wasn't open to discussion however.

He turned his head at the entrance of another young woman, one of quite some standing given her entrance. Admittedly he didn't have any idea who she was, but it did pique his curiosity as to if she was an invitee or simply someone whom had taken an interest in the proceedings.

[member="Stardust Raxis"] [member="Avin Starfire"] [member="Vinskk Revamp"] [member="Hemmrie the Bum"] [member="Rayen Katoka"] [member="Bartic Myth'rand"]

Hemmrie wasn't one to turn down a free drink at a party.

He stood without reluctance and walked easily with Lieutenant [member="Avin Starfire"], completely oblivious to what was awaiting him. He thought he was just being treated to a free drink with a soldier who had never seen the face of royalty before.

"Lead the way, Lieutenant! We'll be back soon, everyone! Keep a drink and a dance ready f'r me!"

He said this loud enough for all to hear, before being dragged from the party with a soldier towards a backroom.

It wasn't until too late that Hemmrie realized he wasn't going for a drink.

Ach, damnit.

[member="Kurayami Bloodborn"][member="Stardust Raxis"][member="Cameron Centurion"][member="Vinskk Revamp"][member="Rayen Katoka"][member="Bartic Myth'rand"]

Revamp accepted the two Human's exit, if only to relieve him of the stench. The air was much cleaner now. Finally, the Trandoshan could breathe. He took in the party around him. It seemed that the guests were getting ready to dance. Trandoshans weren't known for their skill on the ballroom floor, so Vinskk made a mental note to not engage in a dance unless directly asked, which wasn't likely. He couldn't think of a single sentient being who would want a hulking lizard as a partner, after all.

The King took a large sip of the goblet in front of him, which was filled with red wine that was absolutely delicious. He let his mind settle and was content to watch the festivities around him. Where had the Queen gone off to? No matter. He had made his introduction, and was content at that. As his mind cleared, Vinskk's thoughts turned once again to that horrid stench that was becoming more and more familiar by the second...

It smelled of uncleanliness, of stink settling into Human skin...bah, humans are filthy. They cannot shed skin like we can...

The vagrant.

It dawned on him. Who that scent belonged to. It was more diluted due to the finery that he was wearing, but it was indeed his stench.

The vagrant, the one who insulted me upon Hypori. The one who nearly crashed one of my freighters into the Black Talon. Him.

The Trandoshan's thoughts paused for a second. His face was calm, serene even. It was a look that those whom he interacted with knew all too well.

The calm before the storm.

I will kill him.

Standing up suddenly, to the surprise of the two Royal Guards behind him, his eyes rapidly grew narrow with rage and hate. The King turned to his Guards and hissed.

"Come with me. There is an...old friend that I must speak privately with."

With a swoop of his red cloak, the Trandoshan stormed off, his Guards hot on his heels. It wouldn't be hard to pick up the bum's scent amid all this perfume and food, which were pleasant to the lizard's nose and easy to discern. He had spent years using his nose to hunt prey upon the forests of Kashhykk, and it was a skill that would serve him well now.

The stench was difficult at first to locate, but once he latched on to it, the King was off, like a hound chasing his prey. It grew stronger and stronger, until it culminated to a backroom, separate from the party. A guard attempted to formally stop the trio of Trandoshans, but was literally thrown aside by the King, who was on a mission. He got in front of the door and was about to kick it in when he realized the potential political fiasco this may cause if anyone important was in there. Opting to use his wits instead, the Trandoshan simply knocked on the door, replacing the hate that was evident on his face for a more calm demeanor. The anger was still there, just shoved down under a layer of guile, in an attempt to play off to whoever else was in the room that he was, indeed, just going to catch up with his old friend, the Count.

And there was plenty of catching up to do.
