The royal party

Bartic saw the 'Count' getting hauled off, someone had finally seen through his haphazard disguise and saw fit to remove him, this presented the opportunity to pick him up for the Dominion. He joined the dancing and made his way to one of his female agents while the queen was still gone, it was a good way to pass messages covertly.

He started to speak in code, "It looks like our friend is too drunk to drive home, we'll have call him a cab to bring him back to his accommodations and see if he has a hangover tomorrow morning." <Get the man posing as a count out of here if he's in danger, get him somewhere safe and see about setting up a meeting with him.>

She responded, "Of course, I also heard a rumour that another friend of ours nearly got into a fight with his wife in the refresher." <Yes sir. The agent following [member="Cameron Centurion"] observed him a making a threat to the queen, although he did not observe what the threat was.>

The song began to wind down and Bartic got his last words in, "It sounds like I need to call someone about that." <I'm going to speak with the queen once she returns to assess the situation.>

The song ended and they parted ways, Bartic was getting a real kick out of tonight, he barely got to play at the cloak and dagger side of the Bureau's job, his job usually involved massive piles of paperwork or the overall grand plan rather than taking part in them.

Avin started to make his way towards the back door with the count in tow when the message came in from the queen

"Of course, en-route to the fountain now." He said pressing the PTT sitting within his ear.

Avin turned to face [member="Hemmrie the Bum"] "I apologize but a matter of security has become of my concern, two of my friends here will entertain you for a drink, in fact, I'm sure you will all have a lot in common with them and I will join you all later." Avin finished his sentence to the foul smelling human before pivoting on his heels and hand signaling his two security companions to shake down the count.

The path to the fountain took maybe seven or eight minutes yet initially, it was swarmed with cheering crowds and blaring live music. The smells of local food and drinks lingered in the streets. Avin rounded the corner to find [member="Stardust Raxis"] staring gloomily into the lapping fountain waters. As Avin stepped closer he let his register drop back to its normal.

"Hey, what's up?"

Her thoughts had been clouded, she barely registered [member="Avin Starfire"] coming, she looked over when she heard him as she looked over at him with a frown and sad look as she turned to him and sighed sadly

walk with me, avin you've been under my wing for what? Several months now? You've learned many things from me that I know...

She gave a small chuckle and then frowned again

avin...i have made a deal with the devil that...will result in death to some of the council

She held a hand up to silence any protest, her eyes looked lost and beyond sad, but she stopped and turned to him placing her hands on his shoulders

I can't do anything....this man is beyond my power and is part of the first order...avin...whatever happens tomorrow I need to tell you something...i...avin after getting to know you i...i have fallen for you

She knew this would be a surprise to him...but she needed to get some of the weight of her mind as it was reaching the tipping point

Bartic hated to be rude but he would what was needed to be done, his agent said that she was near the fountain, a bit of a walk away, good for a secluded meeting, that was probably why the sith took her all the way there away from her security before threatening her. He arrived slightly late as one of her lieutenants had already arrived and appeared to be trying to comfort her, she hid it well but the queen was clearly distraught at the actions taken by him.

"Your Grace, Stardust, I heard that that man had threatened you, so I hurried over as fast as I could to see if there was anything I could do to help."

Else where in the party the DSB agent was making his way over to where the space hobo was brought too, unfortunately he found out that someone else had also come looking for him, a trio of angry Trandoshans and a now unconscious guard.

Charles walked amongst the halls of the palace, in full armor. The Caroleans had been hired by a councilman to help with security at the party, and so far, only the count imposter had come up. His detachment of thirty men and women, counting him self, patrolled the palace grounds, ready to fight if necessary, and several reports we beginning to come in, mostly with nothing out of the ordinary. Charles only ordered his men to look harder as he stepped onto a balcony. The final report came in, a sith had threatened the queen. Charles swore under his breath at this, and then ordered his troops to keep an eye out for the sixth, and upon spotting him, give a signal for all units to move in. Charles then began to quickly move to the queen's position, to stay by her in case the sith followed through.

As Rayen had walked into the palace she looked around in awe. The place was beautiful.. almost prettier than her own castle, though hers could be more categorized as unique and old. Very old. This castle was definitely more modern and slightly bigger than Rayen's, though she loved it. She had been lost in deep thought when the voice of [member="Stardust Raxis"] pulled her from her thoughts, welcoming her to the party. Looking over to the young Twi'lek woman, Rayen gave a warm smile, bowing her head in respect for her, from one queen to another.

"Thank you very much. I appreciate it. I see this party has attracted quite the amount of attention."

she gave a small, slight giggle as she then sat down to eat something. When she sat down, a waiter came over with a silver tray of food. Everything looked wonderful and after she was done, she would have a glass of wine.. which she had every once in a while. It was only a very small portion, so it wouldn't be too serious if anything were to happen.

Once Rayen finished her meal and drink, she stood up, she decided she would avoid conflict with the angry Trandoshan [member="Vinskk Revamp"] and [member="Hemmrie the Bum"]. The man looked harmless, but Rayen not only smelled, but sensed something off about him. Luckily, she had thought ahead she had a lightsaber holster made so that she could wrap it around her shin and have both sabers at the ready, so she was able to safely store her sabers there without them breaking or her losing them just in case of emergency that had broken out.. which she had sensed would happen at some point. Especially after Stardust had disappeared for a while with a certain someone that would later be known as [member="Cameron Centurion"]. Rayen wasn't familiar with him, but she was sure that she would be at some point in time, especially with her being light sided. Easily avoiding conflict quietly, she made her way to where the music was coming from and stood, observing for a while in thought.

Rayen only hoped that she'd be able to help when the time came.

The blackness engulfed his mind, everything around him faded out as she finished. The words barely processing in his mind as she spoke them leaving nothing more than a dark sinking in his mind as he turned away from her to stare into the fountain. It had been all this time with [member="Stardust Raxis"] that had made him think he was free of the order, free of the evil of the sith. She had helped him become stronger than he ever was before both in body and mind. But now here they were again corrupting everything they touched. First, they killed his parents, then they took his career away from him and massacred his crew. Now they were here strong-arming his teacher and his only friend into what? Into corruption. Into murder for power so that the first order can get their fingers into another world. But the worst was the betrayal. The fact that she had sunk to their depths for power or money.

He stood solemnly staring as she made contact with his shoulders yet no response would be gained. Avin stood staring at the rippling reflection within the water his face bounding out over the reflected night's sky.

Then it hit him like a hammer to the gut. Her confession of love to him. No no no this was all wrong she is meant to be finding a nobleman tonight and it is now that she tells him this. All the months of grueling training and fighting and the building of their relationship he would die for her and this planet, after all, she was his master and...

"Star I... " he stopped and paced away from her. "I feel the same way, and have done for some time. But... it would be selfish of me and would betray the people if we were to ever come together. I'm, not a prince or a king and I never will be."

"I can't give you what the rest of those nobles can... to be honest there is not a lot I can give to you but... just know if nothing else I do love you. It's complicated and please forgive me... but when I have achieved all that I must I will come back to you. However, if the first order is here then it will be over my dead body that another innocent live is lost to their tyrannical reach for power. I... I just hope someone can make you happier than I." He made towards the stairs as he saw [member="Bartic Myth'rand"] coming closer.

He turned back and stared straight into her eyes "I'm sorry..."

Avin stormed passed Bartic and called on his radio for the security team to keep the queen safe.

Avin made his way to the council hall where they had been gathered not but an hour before. He swore to protect, and here he was. He would confront murder and treachery on its own ground.

The tension in the air was growing, and it seemed that once the self proclaimed Count had been escorted out that the crowd tinned a bit. The Trandoshan took his leave following the same path that security had used when escorting the false noble from the party. It gave the Corellian the impression that what was to follow was most likely not a pleasant conversation, however it was not his place to intervene. The Imperial Agent, Bartic had headed back towards the direction Stardust and Cameron had gone earlier. Which made the fact that the Queen was missing her own party all the more suspicious. This was not a good sign, that much was clear. Why exactly it was a bad sign he didn't know, but again he decided to wait it out. If he started to get the sense that things were degrading even more rapidly then he would waste no time in reacting, but for now there was no reason to make what may have been a relatively minor situation boil over.

He did notice that the other woman, whom had arrived a bit late, was also staying off the dance floor. Was she waiting for something, or like him was she simply not the most graceful dancer? He had nothing to gain by simply standing there and so made his way slowly over to her, bowing his head in an informal display of respect.

"Good afternoon. Seems the party has taken a rather interesting turn, one quite unexpected by all I am sure. Ah, forgive my lack of manners, I forgot to introduce myself. Kurayami Bloodborn, owner and proprietor of Nubia StarDrives."

To say that social graces were his strong suit would be a stretch, especially considering he had just mixed up the order of normal conversation. He really needed to remember introduction first, rest of discussion after.

Stardust shook her head, it was just to much she wanted to tell him no no that she wanted him to stay that she wanted him not some noble she didn't know, she didn't even register another man coming up as she watched avin walk away from her. She sat down as she was shocked...shw didn't know what to do...she was stuck in a hard place...this woman who had charged lines of soldiers without fear and flew in space against odds most couldn't handle, but now? This was her versus the council, however she need to decide

She looked at the man as she blinked, his words finally returning to her mind, she stood shaking

Not me...my council...the men I have worked with for nearly five years of my time here...

She took a breath in and closed her eyes, she was on her last bridges for this day...it was not going good at all...nonw of this was, she finally opened them and gasped, this wasn't within what she had agreed with...this activity was breaking the agreement they had...she still was very nervous but felt what she needed to do

you wanna make a good ally? Well nows a chance keep watch for me on the guest

She said as she stormed off past the party, she called up a servant to give a message [member="Cameron Centurion"] requesting that he head to the council hall, she entered as she looked at [member="Avin Starfire"] and spoke confidently hoping she had some time

you may not have money, a royal heritage, or even a title to call yourself, but avin and when I say this I say it because I mean it, I don't care about what materials you have to offer

She said standing by him as she called for a saber to be brought to her, one of the many she kept in important areas just in case

....i only that you give me you...and stand by me as I give myself to you

She said and inhaled assuming that teacher voice she had always used

we will try asking him to leave...hes violated my agreement with the first order and I'll offer him leaving and I won't say a thing...but be ready just in case

Cameron was not far, idly chatting with some random individual in the main hall where the rest of the guests had assembled. If other members of the party had determined he was a Sith through some element of luck or divine inspiration, he did not appear to care in the slightest. The Sith Lord, quite literally, was here in no official capacity. He didn't really represent the First Order as far as an official position was concerned. He conveyed as much to the host, but he didn't count someone that was willing to let a council of subordinates force her hand in personal matters to be...perceptive enough to fully grasp the reality. No...Cameron acted as he had for most of his life, in his own interest. The fact that his current interests seemed to line up with those of the First Order recently was a matter of convenience. Granted...that convenience mostly only extended to himself and [member="Natasi Fortan"], for whom he carried an immense amount of respect.

As the messenger reached his side, Cameron turned a bright, irritated gaze to the individual. He had a simple reply. "Tell [member="Stardust Raxis"] she can either follow through with our agreement, or she can watch me hold up my end of the bargain. Period." Turning, the Sith Lord ignored any further comment from the individual.

If the Queen thought that she could merely take action without due regard for her affiliation with the First Order, she was mistaken. To be treated as a citizen of the First Order's society, one had to abide by the laws of said government. If Stardust thought she had some sort of agreement that bypassed that reality, she was sorely mistaken.

Never fear - comprehension and clarification would be carried on the edge of his blade if she or some other pathetically misguided guest chose to force his hand. Centuries had drifted before Cameron's very eyes yet here he remained. The machinations of a simple, backwater world such as the one he presently stood upon would barely register as a speed bump in his history. The sentients here meant nothing to him.

Rayen knew something wasn't right.. she sensed that there was going to be something happening and all she could wonder was if she would be able to help at all. She realized that it had been a while since she had seen Stardust and Rayen hoped everything was ok, even though she sensed otherwise. A few people she had seen earlier had disappeared and she hadn't seen them since. The mistaken royal, that was actually a bum that lived on the streets, had been escorted from the party and the rather angry Trandoshan had gone somewhere. Security seemed to be more present in recent events though. This worried Rayen slightly, but she stayed calm on the outside, watching others dance.

Rayen knew people had been looking at her, oddly enough.. maybe it was due to the fact that there weren't many people there that were women, which Rayen practically counted on that being the cause. For being a queen, Rayen was pretty shy and didn't confront people too often, but she was still spunky and had a bit of an attitude about things. Her dancing skills, weren't that great, but she could do a basic waltz.

Then turning her head, movement being caught in the corner of her eye, she noticed a man walking her way who bowed his head in an informal respectful greeting, which Rayen returned with a nod of her own.

"Queen Rayen Katoka of Belasco. I do agree.. there is quite a disturbance.. I hope things are alright.. though I sense otherwise."

she responded after he finished. Things had definitely taken an interesting turn and Rayen was slightly worried. At least she had gained someone to talk to for a little while, so she wasn't totally alone.

Arctoius was sure his advisors were laughing about him right now. This was all their fault. Dressed up how modern people thought formal looked, well plus some protection. But Arctorius thought he looked ugly. Nobody else said so, and they were probably right, but Arctorius didn't feel the same without his armor on. He shouldn't have insulted Merkin, and said he looked funny, the head wizard was probably laughing the hardest. 'Well,' Arctoius thought ,'Might as well try and enjoy myself.' And so he entered the hall, towerong over almost everyone else due t the fact that he was almost eight feet tall. But his height allowed him to see over almost everyone else and as such he saw ehat looked like security escorting a party crasher out, soon followed by a trandoshan, no several trandoshans. Arctorius opend the comm chanel to his Vanguard, "Stay on alert, and don your armor. We don't know what could happen." Once he finished talking his hand fell to his sword, the six and a half foot long blade would be able to help him fight. Even in these infernal clothes. Well, hopefully this party went better than the last one he went too.

"I'll do what I can, but being in First Order space my actions are limited while acting as a member of the Dominion. Excuse me for a second Your Grace." Bartic said to Stardust

He took a few steps away and contacted the Interrogator, "Send an infiltrator droid to watch the attached man, he is Cameron Centurion of the First Order and a Sith Lord." He let that hang for a moment "Ready several squads with the anti force user load out, Merr-Sonn Deck sweepers and automatic slug throwers, send one down to the castle, have them bring me a handheld slug thrower, the automatic one, with the really big clip. Have the rest ready to complete hostile extractions of friendly HVTs, but do not do anything until I give the order, we may be about to commit a major political fuax-pas."

Bartic ended the communication and returned to the queen's side, "There's another option, one that would let me do way more, even with the friendly situation between the Order and the Dominion my hands are tied, now you might not like it. There is only one way that I can see that would quickly give me the authority to act, but still give you plausible deniability in whatever happens tonight."

It was true, if she agreed to marry him he could act in the defence of quote unquote "his people" without bringing anything back to the Dominion in a negative way, and if things went poorly Stardust could deny him acting in an official manner on Imahalyan's behalf.

"If we only had more time, I could get through the bureaucratic red tape, but even in my position I can only do so much."

Hemmrie had never felt so violated in his whole life.

After the Lieutenant left, his two men began to search Hemmrie of his clothing, finding little more than an empty beer bottle, and his invitation to the party. The hobo literally had nothing else on him; no credits, form of identification, or any sort of perfume, for he stunk heavily of alcohol and filth. Hemmrie knew the jig was up.

After getting punched in the face once more, the two guards threatened to drag him out of the backroom and throw him onto the street. It was here that he was confronted with three terrifying and all-too-familiar Trandoshan's, an unconscious guard, and an important looking soldier who stood behind them.

Hemmrie was screwed. Very much so.

Stardust was thinking, however her hearing caught what bartic had said and turned as he came back over, she gave a frown and spoke clearly and somewhat assertive

I don't want troops on my planet, if this is to be resolved it must be done so without violence...they out there must not know that something is going on, please have them pull back

She said and thought for a moment, the years turning in her head before she gave a smile, she turned as she looked to [member="Avin Starfire"]

I'm going to dance I want you watching the floor I have a idea

She flashed a smile and wink as she started walking, she meandered her way through the crowd making small talk, she came out as she saw [member="Cameron Centurion"] and offered a smile as she moved close and spoke

do you think you can accompany me to the dance floor? I didn't change into dance shoes for nothing now

She leaned in as she whispered

plus makes it look like we are simply speaking rather then...discussing matters

She said as she waited for his response now

"Gentlemen. How unfortunate it is to see that you have beaten my old friend, the Count. No matter. This error shall be rectified."

The two guards in front of him were about to respond when his Royal Guards both stepped forward and quite impressively, in perfect choreography, landed a single blow each to their intended targets. The guards fell to the floor of the backroom, and their unconscious bodies were dragged to the side of the dingy room swiftly. Vinskk himself grabbed the bum by the lapels of the stolen clothing he wore and entered the backroom, closing the door behind him. It was all done in a manner so fast and well executed that even a stray passerby wouldn't have mistaken the brief confrontation for more than a trio of lizards entering a room very quickly.

In the confines of the cramped room, the Trandoshan King made a decision to shut his nostrils completely. The reek would only serve to disorient him again. The Royal Guards guarded the door, prepared for any possible intruders while Revamp took care of business. With a snarl, Vinskk dragged Hemmrie against a wall in the backroom and hissed, his fangs once more in the Human's face.

"I warned you, vagrant. I gave a clear warning the last time we parted ways. You have obviously failed to adhere to my consul, and now, you will suffer for your lack of etiquette and stupidity."

The giant lizard reared back his free talons, ready to disembowel the Human right then and there, but stopped himself. No, murdering someone on another's planet would only create a mess, both literally and politically. But the Black Talon was not too far away. His ship was Trandoshan territory, and there, the King could do as he pleased. His face reared back to Hemmrie's and he hissed again, grinning a wicked, thin-lipped smile.

"I have a better idea, Human. Let us go to the Black Talon, and there, I shall extract justice. Do not be afraid, vagrant. It will be slow and painful, but no one in this galaxy will miss you, weep for you, or mourn. You will serve a greater purpose as a sacrifice to the Scorekeeper, although the amount of points I shall reap from you will be low indeed."

With a turn, Revamp prepared to exit the backroom and drag Hemmrie all the way back to his ship...

Erin stood watch, patrolling throughout the palace. He had reproted in not to long ago, but he had been eyeing the situation with the 'count'. So when he disappeared, and his two guards fell to the ground unconscious, he realized something was up. Erin reported in, requesting permission to engage, then moved in, seeeing the bum being dragged out by the trandoshian king, in the direction of the ship. Erin broke into a sprint, reaching the ship ahead of the trandoshian. He waited in the shadows, ready to ambush the trandoshians, or to stop them if necessary. He was committing a crime on world, that being kidnapping.

He stood... watching out from the balcony. Not just at the people but at the vivid colors and metallic reflections of the hall's decoration. Avin shut his eyes and leaned against a balcony post and gazed out again. The people this time seemed to be talking, laughing and drinking around the feast put on. A group including stardust had moved to a dancefloor within the center of the room and waltzed themselves around to the live music being played.

He had not had a report back from his two guards sent out for the so called count and decided to radio them.

"Three, Four this is HQ what's your sitrep? over"

Avin leaned back and gained no response from his guards, he would assume they were dealing with the issue and just had the com set turned down too far. Avin relaxed and shut his eyes allowing himself to tap into the forces flow throughout the room. He scanned them one by one just as he had learned to under [member="Stardust Raxis"]. He detected a few force sensitives of minor ability or at least they were hiding well, however, he then felt the man Stardust had moved to embrace for dance... His presence was dark and looming. It held a power unmatched in this room and at that moment Avin knew that he was the First Order scumbag that had dragged themselves in here and threatened to tamper with the only peace Avin had... So Avin kept a close eye. Anything wrong and Avin was ready to pounce.

Kurayami seemed uninterested in many of the developments, what others thought of him was of little import to the man. He knew he was good enough to at least get out of anything that went down without too much damage. Much of what he had learned he had recovered the knowledge of, and some of those things he had taken the time to refine to a greater degree. It was a process for sure, but he had learned for sure to pay greater attention to what the Force was trying to tell him.

While what Rayen said about things not being completely okay was spot on, he still made no outward sign of being overly worried. His response would likely sound cold to many, but it was based on his personal view of balance in all things.

"Forgive my brashness in my introduction your Highness. Pleasure to meet you Rayen. I admit that I am not all that familiar with Belasco. You are correct about the disturbance, however events such as these tend to bring out many emotions in all attendees. What will happen remains to be seen, but the events to come will unfurl as the Force wills them to. I see no reason to intervene at this time as there seems to be no physical danger to the hostess. I would be rather disappointed to see this beautiful event collapse into anarchy."

His tone was even and controlled, but there was a hint in his speech that he wasn't entirely as calm as he seemed on the surface, what exactly was bothering him was anyone's guess. To those who were adept enough though it would be clear that his calm detachment was a well rehearsed facade, refined over many years of practice.
