The Run

"Tatooine Twist." There was no hesitation to his voice.

That drink was almost entirely made of alcohol. There was no sweeteners, no juice, nothing. It was the type of drink that someone had when they were looking to get into trouble, or the kind you had when you wanted to forget about everything you ever did.

Wes was both.

"Wow you guys are in it."

"Yep." He said as his hand fell to Alexia's rump.

"Just married." He leaned in and kissed her cheek. "Tonight I'm gonna show her all the trouble she's gotten herself into."

The bartender smirked at Wes and waggles his eyebrows before setting their drinks down on the bar top. Alexia sat up a little straighter as Wes' hand wandered to where it tended to go. Scoundrel!

Oooooo. She was gonna show him.

She took a good long sip of her drink before her fingers reached out and latched onto his jawline, bringing him closer to her face. "Now, now dear. Let's not forget you're in about as much trouble as I am and you'll have to pay for it." Grinning, she pressed her lips against his for a quick kiss before releasing that stubble.

The bartender shook his head and wandered over to some other patrons. The wookie couple chortled next to them.

The night probably wouldn't get any better from here on out.

Wes put some credits from the stolen wallet onto the table, though he actually had no idea just how much he'd placed there. He was sure that he and Alexia would likely steal from someone else before the night was out, and thus he didn't particularly care all that much whether or not they would actually be spending too much on alcohol right that minute. The Forger glanced at Alexia, wondering for a brief moment if she could keep this up forever.

"Oh I'll show you trouble." He said finally as he scooped up his drink.

The first sip always burned the most, but after that it was nearly gone.

"You have no idea." He leaned into her. "What I can do beneath those covers."

[member="Wes Spalding"]

"Oh yeah?" She turned to him, swirling her drink with one hand before taking another healthy gulp. She had a third left. Finger reached up and tapped against his lips before leaning in so her own lips brushed against his ear lobe.

"I only sleep with those I'm conning and with men who actually like me. And since you don't fall into either of those categories...," she smirked and trailed kisses down his jaw. "Guess I'll just have to imagine."

"Dear."

Hand slipped into the pocket of a rodian who was distracted behind her, swiping two spice pills she'd seen him stuff in there when she and Wes walked in.

[member="Alexia Santiago"]

"Uh huh." He said in response.

Wes wasn't really holding out hope for anything particular to happen with Alexia, mostly because he was pretty sure that what they had witnessed earlier was still unsettling him to a degree he couldn't really describe. The smell of blood still stuck in his nostrils, and he couldn't help but picture that scene over and over again within his head.

The Forger frowned slightly.

"I reckon after a few more drinks." He caught her hand. "Or some of these..."

Wes wasn't really big on spice, but when on Empress Teta. "You'll be the one asking."

[member="Wes Spalding"]

"Hey," she finished off her drink and stared at Wes' fingers wrapped around her enclosed fist. Lips curled into a sly smirk and she pulled her hand back slightly, perhaps making Wes get a little closer.

Tongue clicked against the roof of her mouth before she turned to the bar tender. "Another please."

Focus shifted back to the painter. "Wasn't how things happened last night. And what makes you think I'm sharing?"

[member="Alexia Santiago"]

He smiled. "Who said you have a choice."

Wes wasn't near a slick as Alexia was. Her hands were smooth, subtle, and fast. His? Well they could create immaculate pieces of art and craft the finest statues anyone in the galaxy had ever seen, but they certainly couldn't just pluck something from someones pocket.

Yet, he was still stronger than her, and before she could object Wes pulled one of the pills from her palm.

"Remember." He said downing it. "We're in this together."

He smiled at her. "Honey."

[member="Wes Spalding"]

"Heeeey," chin rested on her palm. They'd be lucky to make it back to their room in one piece. Maybe they wouldn't. Neither she nor Wes were in any mood to be the 'DD.' She downed the pill with her new drink before Wes could steal that one too.

Went down smooth.

Then the second drink. Warmth began to flood her skin, starting at the base of her neck and up to her cheeks. And she felt like she was....floating. A fit of giggles suddenly took her. Going to stand off the stool, she suddenly found herself smack on her rear on the ground, staring up at Wes.

A fresh set of giggle left her lips.

He had no idea what this night was going to turn out to be like, for all he knew they were running headlong into a disaster of untold proportions, but then again their day had already been one of those. They couldn't possibly make things worse at this point.

Hell, even getting arrested sounded like a good idea. "Now now, Honey."

Wes reached over and booped her nose.

"Pace yourself." He slid closer to her as he spoke, arm wrapping around her. "Don't want to over do it just yet."

They had the entire night.

"I am fined. Fine!" She laughed and grew serious again. As she blinked, she saw them. Body after body. Blood. So much blood. Palms lifted and she saw red. Head shook.

"I'm fine," she whispered to Wes and sloppily stood, grabbing the rest of her second drink and finishing it. Stars, she was so hot. Maybe a bad reaction to the spice and alcohol. She needed to cool down. She wobbled dangerously as she strutted toward the exit, half bumping into a few people, managing to pick-pocket a few as she went - even as trashed as she was.

Turning, she hollered to her fake husband.

"I'm going to the pool hubby," she pressed off another body and caught herself on the door-frame. The pool was definitely closed. She didn't care. She just had to make it there and past the tilting ground and swirling people.

Heh.

Heheh.

Wes followed after Alexia, noticeably keeping himself far more upright than she was managing to. His gait was still a bit odd though, his eyes flicking all over the place. The spice that was now flowing through his veins had a rather odd effect, making him feel...not woozy, but slightly more careless.

"Hooooooold on a sec, babe." Wes Said as he caught up with her stumbling form.

"I thiiiink." His arms wrapped around her to steady her. "We have to go to the roof pool."

That was also closed, but easier to break into.

"Sneak in." Wes thought he whispered that, though it was more of a half yell.

[member="Wes Spalding"]

"Roof pool? We have one? Oooooooooh." Eyes stared dreamily ahead of them as she abruptly stopped. "Well, come on, silly," just as quickly, she started off. She would've fallen over a few times if Wes' arms hadn't been around her. Flip-flops clacked loudly across the busy hotel floor.

Hand smacked down on the lift button and with a whoosh, the doors opened. Stumbling inside, she smacked down on the top third of all of the buttons, then giggled. "Up, up, up. We're going for a riiiiide," she chortled and sang next to Wes.

Wow. They were going to be living together for a long time.

[member="Alexia Santiago"]

Wes didn't even think about that.

By the time the doors to the roof opened he was more wondering about just what he had taken. There were dozens of different kinds of spice and most were worse than others, unfortunately they had no way of actually knowing what Alexia had stolen.

Strangely though, Wes didn't care. "Okay okay okay."

He told Alexia.

"Shhhh." He told her. "Sneak past the camera and into the pool."

He looked out the door, then slowly moved out.

[member="Wes Spalding"]

"Shh. Shhshhhhh," she broke into a fit of giggles as Wes began to sneak out. Whewbooooy. So tipsy.

Eyes squinted up at the camera. Was it moving slowly or was she?

Snort.

Somehow her shirt and shorts were already off, leaning a trail of clothing as she walked. Normal Alexia would've folded them properly. This one didn't give a kark about anything besides getting cool.

The night air smacked a breath of coolness over her exposed skin besides those bits tucked beneath undergarments. Those important bits. "But where's the wa--," feet caught on the lip of the pool and she tumbled in, in a loud and very graceless splash.

[member="Alexia Santiago"]

Wes watched her fall in, unconcerned about her safety.

Instead his gaze flickered over the place, trying to find something...anything that would stop them from going swimming. He was still security conscious even when completed zonked out of his mind, mostly because he didn't want to get caught. Eventually he saw the lone security camera.

Slowly the Forger wandered over, then just tipped it to the side.

"Okay." He said as he quickly stripped off his own clothes, not bothering with keeping his underwear on, mostly because there was no one here anyway and he didn't want to wear wet undies for the rest of the night either.

A second later he went jumping into the pool.

[member="Wes Spalding"]

Body floated underwater. Cerulean gaze opened, seeing darkness with splashes of moonlight reflecting off the ceramic tiles at the bottom. It was so quiet and peaceful down here.

A bubble of laughter left her mouth and floated lazily to the surface. Hair floated around her face in dark, silky waves. Lungs were starting to burn a little but her mind wasn't exactly catching up. She couldn't stop looking at that sparkly tile.

There was a ripple in the water as Wes came in. Head turned slightly underwater but she couldn't see him. Maybe it would be better just to stay down here. Floating, weightless, and careless forever.

[member="Alexia Santiago"]

Wes floated around for a few moments.

He hadn't actually gone swimming in...he couldn't even remember how long.

There were a few public pools on Coruscant, actually more like thousands, but all of them needed a membership and none of them were really all that private. Wes just didn't really care for that sort of thing, mostly because he was a rather private person. Not because he was embarrassed, but because he'd rather work on his art.

He supposed it was one of the reasons why the idea of going into isolation and hiding form Rasho wasn't so bad.

"Careful." He said with a slight slur. "Don't drawn...drown."

[member="Wes Spalding"]

She heard a muted voice from somewhere up above. Still, she didn't surface. Lungs were on fire.

Yeah, maybe it would be better for everyone if she....

Feet found the shallow bottom and her head whipped back. Face broke the surface as lungs gulped in precious mouthfuls of air. Heart hammered in her chest.

Palms pushed against her eyes, clearing the rivers of water running over them. Another gulp full of air as her bleary-gaze searched for Wes. "What?"

[member="Alexia Santiago"]

For a moment he was going to repeat himself, mostly because he didn't really know what else to do. His head was now swimming, his vision was blurry, and his fingers and toes were very tingly. The Spice had worked its way completely into his system and he wasn't entirely sure whether or not things were going to be alright.

Then he noticed something

"I said you lost your bra." Wes told her as he pointed to a bit of fabric that had loosed itself from her while she had launched herself from the bottom of the pool.

Those things weren't meant for swimming after all.

[member="Wes Spalding"]

"Wha-?" Bewildered face looked down. She could kind of feel the difference now. Sorta. Water and cool air lapped against even more exposed skin. Then she laughed.

Hand plucked the black fabric from the water and tossed it to the deck where it plopped down with a wet squish. A shrug came next as her head dipped back and she found herself floating on her back. "So many stars," she could kind of see past the pollution of city lights. "Sparkly," another fit of giggles.

Everything was shiny, numb, and mostly dark. She could care less if she was topless. Feth, even if it wasn't dark. Shoulder brushed against Wes' arm as she floated next to him.
