The Slog (Dominion Tier 2 Dom of Vjun and Aargonar)

Bhakt Wemk

The Prospective Weapon Master
Bhakt ordered the 501st to begin taking away prisoners and warning them to watch for any resistance. He commanded the rest of the Dominion forces to sweep the rest of the castle and either kill any resistance or capture more prisoners. Bhakt suddenly felt something down his spine...the all too familiar feeling of the darkside. He looked to the source and saw a young human standing in the door frame. She greeted them kindly enough, though Bhakt kept an eye on her.

"Yes it has been. Guess you're one of the Sith the Dominion taken in."

Bhakt snorted, feeling the dark aura around her. He couldn't judge her too harshly as only a few years earlier he'd been just a deep in the dark. Though he saw something different about this woman. She was fully shrouded in the dark but it swirled around her more than burned. She seemed to be in control of herself. Bhakt shrugged as it didn't for the moment but he would have to seek this woman out again.

"Names Bhakt. You missed the battle but I feel like that's not why you're here."

Grace watched [member="Bhakt Wemk"]'s reaction to her. He seemed disturbed by her, as if her presence in the Dark Side was enough to offset him. Interesting. Something to remember in the future when dealing with the Nikto. Her smile grew as he spoke, weighing each word against the distrust in his posture. He could become something powerful, something great, if only his judgments weren't so sudden. Then again, that may just keep him alive.

"Indeed I am. Grace Darkson, at your service." She pushed off the wall, giving a small bow as she introduced herself. Maybe the theatrics was too much, but she certainly enjoyed them. After being a street performer, a taste for flamboyant gestures had certainly stuck.

"The Archlord has charged me with custodianship of the fortress." She told him simply. "I'm simply here to see what remains of those who came before."

Red cloaks came to greet him.

The warriors aboard the Chimaera were not similar to the 501st below. They were clad in armor that seemed to be grated to their skin, their faces shrouded in cowls not dissimilar to Cedric's own. Beneath the cowls were gas masks with glowing ocular slots that indicated an electric current. Each man was armed with a rifle of a sort not often seen within the galaxy. The weapons, firearms that relied purely on the use of plasma, were held at rest across their chests.

Cedric greeted his closest confidants with a bow of his head. The men each made the sign of the Dominion Eagle as the youth stalked his way through the vessels halls. All knew exactly where he was intending to go. The men parted way for him one by one.

The meditation sphere was Cedric's sole respite. The red-robed guards took their positions on either side of it, rifles held close to their chest. The Archlord stepped into his sphere, and his mind went entirely blank. Reports of the battles around the system scrolled in through a data feed. Cedric was pleased to see the Vjun had been more or less pacified, and Aargonar's resistance was almost entirely crushed.

As expected, this was a Dominion victory, and the casualty figures weren't terribly high either.

Tandar stayed outside where the main fight was killing and killing vong just to kill some more. The lance he was using broke after impaling a vong dewback blood mess that was, all tandar had was his blaster and sword. He looked on to the charging vong their numbers seemed endless and in the misted of them lay a white horse untouched by filth. Tandar took a second look as a clean horse in this battlefield seemed strange but when he looked again all he could see was a quednak and with him the war leader himself.

"Ogir gar are" Tandar shifted his speeder around to clash with the large beast. The glory of this kill would be his and his alone.

The war leader must have seen tandar's shift in direction as a challenge, his mount slowly at first began a charge gaining speed as it closed the distance. Tandar started to push his legs up until they were on the speeders seat, he drew his sword an idea pop up in his head. face to face the beast and speeder collided as tandar jumped up and swung his sword, "ash'amur!" he cried out as the blade met the war leaders neck. He hit the dirt hard smacking his helmet into the ground tandar shook his head then looked back at the beast still alive "You ready?"

Causstik Rahn hefted his blade high in the air and cleft the nearest Vong in half. "GRAGH!" He charged forward at a group of the orcish warriors. Three hundred pounds of Trandoshan knocked them off the wall. A vong ran forward with a flail swinging round in the air. He swung the metal ball and chain at Causstik and the Trandoshan cut the chain as it flew towards him. The spiked ball impacted with his side and he grunted as his phrik plating blocked the spikes. Still the blunt trauma was enough to make him pause for a moment. The vong drew his flail back to strike again and Causstik closed the ground. He beheaded the Vong and continued forward.

"Ah I see, well [member="Grace Darkson"] the castle is yours. Well as soon as we clear the rest of the place. No telling what kind of hideaways and holes they've built into this place."

He took note of her lithe bow. She was polite wasn't she. As he got used to her presence the Nikto relaxed, though the feeling of her dark aura still tingled his spine. Bhakt didn't really care much that she was getting the castle that he had almost died to take, place gave him creeps anyway. He would go to one of the control consoles and release the security protocols over the castle. Any locked door would now open and any traps would be disarmed which allowed the Dominion army to easily sweep through the rest of the castle. He came to one root command that simply said vault. He motioned Grace over and pointed to the screen.

"Seeing how this is your castle now I figured you'd want to see this."

He pulled up a map on the display this vault was a few floors below them and he doubted they're would be much resistance now.

"The location has been confirmed Archlord."

A brow was quirked at the custodian. It took the man a few moments to register just what was being relayed to him, and even longer to absorb the gravity of what it meant. The Acerbitas had been discovered, its whereabouts confirmed.

The massive vessel would be the Dominion's for the taking. They only needed to set a course. Cedric's lips parted to speak the order, but he forced himself to halt. Acting without prior planning rarely brought about success, this action least of all. There was the possibility, however slim, that the dreadnought's location had been leaked to DSB on purpose. If that was the case, even if it was an unlikely one, moving ahead now would be unwise. The situation on Vjun and Aargomar had more or less been resolved, but there were still clean-up duties. A new government needed to be formed, which could take months to decide upon, and the entire economy of both worlds would need to be restored.

Yes, better to air on the side of caution. In silence, Cedric opened the reports further detailing the recon team's efforts. He wanted to know every little detail as to what had happened to the legendary vessel during its absence from the greater galaxy.

This was the first step into a much larger world.

"I'd wager there's a room or two not listed on the floor plans. The Taipani seem to love those, and it would make sense the Mecrosa followed suit." Her eyes moved around the room, slow steps carrying her closer to the command room's center, and to [member="Bhakt Wemk"]. The other force user seemed to relax to her presence, although from his initial reaction, she doubted he'd ever trust her. Part of her wanted to know what the castle felt like to him. Could he feel the anguish that bleed from the walls? The regret that pooled like water at their feet?

As he pointed the vault out to her, her smile changed from a playful one to a gleeful, excited look. "Oh, they kept a vault! This I have to see." She nearly ran out the door, stopping only to call back to the Nikto "You wanna come?"

His muscles ached all this killing was getting a little tiring but Tandar thought he could take on the beast. The beast itself seemed angry Must of had a connection to the dead guy Tandar thought. The beast came charging again but this time tandar had no speeder to crash into it. tandar jumped to the side as the beast ran past him no use getting trampled, the beast turned around for a third charge but this time tandar wasn't going to move. Instead as the beast was face to face with him he dropped to the ground and using his sword he sliced the beast belly as it ran. Blood and guts all dropped on top of tandar covering him in a greenish mess but the beast laid dead and luckly not on him.

Tandar using his helmet called his rep in the dominion "The job is done. I expect the money to be put in my account on time." and with that, he made his way to the ship.

The Prospective Weapon Master
Bhakt almost chuckled seeing this person so shrouded in the dark react like a kid to the news of possible treasure. She rushed out but stopped momentarily to ask if he wanted to join her. He shrugged, and nodded. His job was pretty much done here and he figured the Dominion troops could easily finish the clean up.

"Uh yeah sure let's go."

Bhakt followed behind the woman and they eventually came to the vault. The console next to it read green. It must have also been linked to the man security protocols. He looked to [member="Grace Darkson"] and motioned forward ax in hand. He felt something incredibly dark emanating from inside. Hell ever since he came down here the darkside seemed to seep from the walls. It was taking a bit of toll on the Nikto and he'd prefer to get in and get out.

"Um...ladies first?"

All over the battle field the Vong surrendered. Causstik Rahn and his forces moved into the castle and secured its surroundings. The Trandoshans began to bind the enemy Vong and lined them up outside. Meanwhile, several Cargo ships launched from the Scorekeeper and landed softly near the prisoners. The Trandoshans loaded the prisoners aboard the vessels and Causstik snickered. Unbeknownst to the Dominion the Trandoshans were taking the Vong to Mugg Fallow. There they would be sold on the slave market. Those that were lucky enough to avoid the sacrificial arena. Causstik was approached by his second Crossk. "We have claimed many hides today," He growled. "Aye, the scorekeeper will shower us in Jagganath points today," Causstik replied. The pair boarded one of the vessels and the ships left the planet.

As she stepped into the vault, Grace could feel waves of dark power rolling over her. The room was simple, laid out in grids of shelves and crates, marked and labeled. They had been meticulous in their efforts, it seemed. She wanted to dig through them all, to find every last thing and hold them all. But something drew her eye as she stepped deeper in. A golden helm, embedded with a large ruby, seeming to glow with dark powers. She stepped closer and closer, her hand brushing against the shining metal.

Dvasai

The word reverberated in her skull, sending shivers down her spine. No, not a word. A name. Dvasai, Yunoks vaera.

"Knight of the sith." She whispered the words to herself, the phrase seeming to resonate in her being. Dvasai, Knight of the Sith.

She could do this.

Bhakt Wemk

The Prospective Weapon Master
Bhakt simply watched as Grace entered the the vault. The power of the dark was nearly overwhelming and Bhakt felt that anything within was not for him. He could see nothing but pain and turmoil if he even touched a single item.

"Well...uh...yeah you enjoy your helmet there Grace. I'm gonna head back up now...sooooo see ya later."

He didn't run, but he surely made haste back up stairs. After coming all this way and taking his first few steps away from that kind of darkness, the Nikto didn't want to around anything that could tempt him. Not until he had truly mastered the dark inside himself.

He arrived to find the clean up wrapping up. With their leaders taken and the promise to be able to retain some of their power and influence in the region; most had readily surrendered to the Dominion. Bhakt oversaw the departure of the prisoners to the capital but after that his job was truly done.

Fifteen minutes later he sighed happily as he slouched in seat of the shuttle that would return him to Eol Sha. The ex pirate would have a lot to think on in the coming days, though that would wait for now. Bhakt let his eyelids get heavy and slowly drifted off to sleep.

His dreams seemed it fit however to make his sleep fitful. Dark visions swirled in his mind. True darkness, blacker than anything he'd ever witnessed assaulted him on all sides. Hope drained from his being with every attack from the specters. Until a brilliant light pierced through the blackness. Bhakt clawed his way toward it feeling renewed the closer he came, until he reached out felt something solid in his hands. The cool metal and leather felt amazing in his hands. He came to his feet and pulled the object toward himself. It was a lightsaber. Though no typical make of lightsaber. The hilt was long, though not as long as polearm, about the same lengths as the haft of his vibroax. The blade glowed a comforting yellow that filled the Nikto with warmth. The saber felt amazing in his hands and he felt at truly at peace while holding it. He looked out and saw the shadow specters shrinking away, not able to tolerate the light of the weapon.

Bhakt jolted awake and looked around. A few soldiers looked his way but nothing more. Bhakt looked out of the ships view port to see the swirling blue masses that were hyperspace travel. He looked back on the dream and knew...that saber was his. He didn't know why but the force was telling him he needed that weapon, that tool of the light. The light. He thought to the way the specters couldn't stand it and realized the Force was telling him something else. That Bhakt had no place in the dark...he was to become a weapon for the the light.
