H'lo, an' waelcome tae th'Republic an' th'Jedi Order, [member="Cadmus Fontaine"]!
I've taken a gander at your bio and seen that you're here to be a Jedi, so pursuant to that information, I'd like to suggest that you post in
THIS THREAD if you're looking for a master. Don't be afraid to tag a specific master in the list in that thread (as it says) if you're interested in having them take you on.
THIS OTHER THREAD is if you outright want to learn some specific skills, either if you don't have a master, if you do have a master and it's something they don't know, or... well, for those of us who
are Knights and Masters looking to learn certain things (it's also great for seeing if an available knight or master might be a good fit for you with respect to their skillset) which brings me to a related point...
What I find to be very important (and what most new padawans don't realise) is that
you must take the responsibility to get training into your own hands. Sometimes you can get a master right away, but other times that might not happen, so don't be afraid to ask someone specifically for training in a skill or two - most knights and masters around here are happy to mentor you here and there, even if they can't take you on as a full-time padawan.
And
do take advantage of the open classes that pop up. There are two I know of going on
right now in
Force Basics and in lightsaber
Form III, Soresu (don't worry if you don't have your own lightsaber yet - training lightsabers are provided
and recommended for use in training!).
Oh, and I
just remembered!
It
may also be worth taking advantage of this
Form I (Shii-Cho) class that seems to have gone un-noticed. This is the very first form that most Jedi learned, in canon! Just ping the instructor to see if they're still willing to hold the class!
Lastly, I do hope you enjoy your time with us, and that you grow to be a
fantastic Jedi.
Cheers!
