Private The Unyielding Stone

Darth Libertas Darth Libertas

Jade observed the preparations in silence. She said nothing as they sprung to their tasks with an eagerness and vigour she did not necessarily feel. Her gaze returned to the Sith.
"Yes, it is true. I have assisted you thus far with your operations. However, if this is to extend I feel we should make something more formal. I am not, as you might say, willing to operate for free."

Her minions seemed to be busy, not paying much attention to them as they made their preparations. She lowered her voice as much as possible.
"Are you actually interested in their rebellion? Or are you more observing them to see who survives, who follows, who flees?"
It was not a suspicion about Sith per se, it was just her perception on anyone in this case. To her the Sith didn't need these rebels. To Jade it looked a lot like a scientist observing a test tube, but perhaps she was not understanding Libertas' play.

"When I look at the Force, I see a web. It leads me different pathways, and tracks. Picture a Corusca gem. Its interlocking crystalline structure makes it tougher than durasteel. Strike it with a hammer and you'll do nothing except dent the weapon. Yet the same crystalline structure also gives the gem a a spot where a carefully measured application of force can break it."

"Find the weak points and stress lines in an object, then use it to your advantage. People and situations can be such fracture points, too. Think lynchpin. But they are fluid. Most of the rebellious slaves are mundane beings. But some may become critical fracture points." Even the smallest, humblest of beings had a place in the web that was the Force.
