Private The Way of Water

Well feth her luck on some things just had to run out right. So...her cup of luck was spilled she could begin refilling it. Everyone defined evil differently. Some thought nothing of robbing those who had nothin. And then there was everyone own idea of evil...what was worse the robber or the murderer.

"Yes" her answer to expanding on his not being evil. She nodded slowly, cautiously taking a deep breath. She had to remember now he had an opportunity to do her harm and did not. He could have tossed her off the thranta. Breath Rekha

"So you don't believe in taking something you've not earned." She hoped she was interpreting his words correctly. That was a problem coming from different ends of the galaxy - what she meant might not be what he meant. Talking like this would clear the air and put them in the correct space.

"Do I hate you..." She shook her head, "no I don't hate you...I'm unnerved and if I'm honest a bit scared. Course if you tell someone I said that I'll deny being scared." She smiled not her best smile but she was still in a way 'feeling her way' on this.

"My eyes are green they reflect a zest for life. I don't know too many folks with red eyes." Don't move he said the odd thing was she couldn't really move a lot. She stood where she was waiting for....ohhhh....a breeze. "I like the feel of wind on my face. No" She looked down, "nothing evil about air."

She looked over to the water again, "you just have to understand my history with things, its not great. I guess my memory is too long at times..." She wasn't sure of anything right now. But she knew what might help them both.

"Shall we keep sailing? I've heard that there is a display of bioluminescence at the far end of the lake. It's a peaceful sail. We can...well talk some more. If you're ok with that?" She wasn't sure but she wasn't about to afraid of someone who could push a little air her way.

[member="Akabane"]

Akabane gave her a nod when she announced her conclusion. Taking lives, belongings, and even memories, all of those things along with more was not okay. Mainly the life part though. Someone raised that kid, man or woman. If they are innocent there's no reason to steal someone's life away. Of course he'd killed before, so maybe it was hypocritical of him to say such things. However Akabane killed for justifiable reasons. Other killers eventually get killed naturally and that goes for him too, so he was doing the world a favor. Not just killers though, he'd slain a slave before because of his actions. At the end of the day he took lives of those who deserved it or needed to be dealt with

When she said there was no hate felt towards him relief came over Akabane. But then Rekha admitted she was a little scared of him now. He sighed. That should've been expected. Sith weren't particularly good overall and many people seen them as terrible creatures. Akabane was well aware of that at this point in his life. He tried his best not to look like the rest of them. Those crimson eyes he was cursed with didn't help with such matters. Everything he did in the past few minutes didn't help either. How would he recover? Asking himself that would make him laugh. Akabane grabbed his lightsaber and lightly tossed it her way. He was hoping she would catch it. "Hold on to it for me, if you will... or toss it overboard. I don't want to make you anymore uncomfortable." Saying that so carelessly hurt him in a way that he could not pinpoint. Nothing mattered except for the woman before him though, at this moment.

Miss Rekha claimed to not know many people with his color of eyes. She also said his air wasn't evil, or air in general was not evil at least. It would be understandable if she was only talking about air and not him. Things appeared to be settling down as she tried to explain her perspective. Rekha told Akabane her history wasn't great, and he assumed she was referring to complications with the sith. He smiled, "Your memory is fine. I'm certain your reasons for not liking my kind are good ones, but don't worry. I won't lay an unwanted finger on you, love."

Then, she asked if they should continue sailing. She mentioned a display of some sort, one he'd never ever heard before. It sounded interesting so he asked no questions. Rekha said they could talk some more if it were okay with him. "Let's talk. What about then?" Akabane imagines she wanted to know more about his adventure into the dark. But he decided to attempt to jump into another suject.

She often gave random bits of information while her own mind worked through what to do. She tried to push down that trickle of fear. But he then did something she had not expected he tossed her the light saber. She caught it and held it tightly looking at it. It was a strong temptation to throw it into the water to put it as far as she could away.

But.

She looked at it heavier than she thought, she turned and opened a draw and put it inside. Quickly turning back.

She had to reason this out, it was like at the bar when you toss someone out the night before for fighting and they come back staring at their toes as they waited for a drink.

"Why not tell me something else about yourself not the sithy things, simple things that everyone talks about..do you travel a lot?" Rekha began to get the ship ready for the slow journey across the lake. She looked over at him wondering what kind of man was this, really? She knew in her mind that giving her the weapon was a sign, like she gives up her own to someone. Its all about comfort, and some trust.

The ship's engines purred as she set the course allowing the navigation to take them out while she attended her guest. "Drink of something?"

[member="Akabane"]

She didn't throw the weapon to the side or into the water. That made Akabane raise a brow as he wondered if she had respect for another person's weapons. He grinned along with that thought. Akabane certainly appreciated it if that was the case. If not, he'd carry on of course. But it was an interesting thought to ponder. It was a weapon of a Sith in the end. There wasn't much to be respected out of a weapon like that so he'd understand throwing it away. In response to her drink offer, "Any human blood?" It sounded funnier when she didn't have a laser sword on her person. He brought his stealth blade as a secondary but he'd be too shocked to defend if she could even use the apparent evil weapon.

Miss Rekha told him they should talk about the non-sith things in his life. She asked if he traveled a lot. "I'm not sure how much is a lot. Depends on where I'm needed, really." He paused randomly thinking about where he'd settle. The question of traveling made him think. "Ya know... I could happily live and die on Naboo. Something bout that place gives me nostalgia and it feels like home. That's where I usually stay when I'm not working or traveling so I guess it wouldn't hurt to get a house there at one point." Now was not the time to joke or flirt especially, but he couldn't help himself. Akabane turned to view Rekha with a smirk. "A home though... I suppose I should wait until I find a fine lady such as yourself." He chuckled, not sure how she would take the ungentlemen-like joke.

[member="Rekha Kaarde"]

"Nope not this week should have let me know before hand but I can offer bantha blood." She didn't miss a beat with the request she once asked someone if they wanted marinated swamp rat so blood. She looked over and smiled she was use to being a smart alec and she liked feeling like she was herself. This was Rekha being herself. Some of the edge of the situation fell away.

"A lot for some is twice a year. I travel 3 times month to 3 different places, price of business I don't seem to have my feet on the ground long. Though when I want to I am able to devote time to places and people." She would't mention that she associated with the ORC unsure of what the relationship was with them.

But then...she had a feeling that it probably wasn't a good one. Yeah best leave sleeping wampah where they are.

"OH Naboo, I love Naboo." He brought up a place she adored. "All that green, the lake country...and" she laughed, "you might think me a bit odd but I love their buildings. They just have these great lines that make them so elegant."

"Oh you should definitely build on Naboo...lady?" She blushed she wasn't sure that she was exactly a lady in the way she pictured it. Ya know someone who sticks their pinky out when drinking or sipping so not her.

"Well...this...lady" She looked over at him, "she should be able to hold her own ground. Afterall a man such as yourself deserves somoene who can hold their own." She smiled, "such as myself. Course I come with perks too..." She didn't mind the flirting it was fun.

The ship was moving slowly along the moon glistening off the surface as the stillness of the night began to fall around them.

"Why not a place like Coruscant? Cutting edge technology available."

[member="Akabane"]

She spoke as if she had sold blood before. Akabane wasn't weirded out but he cocked his head in slight confusion. He simply laughed. "You're fun, Miss Rekha." It was nice to see her uneasiness go away as they conversed normally. When she spoke about her own traveling, he smiled admiring her focus and detailed reply. Akabane understood what she meant about business. No matter the business, all caretakers of it had to go out to get stuff done. That's just how the world worked. "So you're a fighter and hard worker, then? Hmm..." He said as a tease.

When Miss Rekha expressed her love for Naboo Akabane's eyes lit up and widened briefly. A woman who had an affectionate appreciation for that place was a great and interesting one. She told him she may seem odd for liking the building designs on Naboo. "There's nothing odd about liking unique infrastructure, love." Coruscant was probably his favorite place to sightsee great structures. It was ironic that she would later speak about Coruscant.

Her reaction to his flirting was priceless. She even sent shots right back at him. "Perks?" Akabane smirked. Such a bold girl... was she having as much fun as him? Her question on why not wanting to settle on Coruscant stole the moment for him to make a joke. "Well..." he took a few steps her way. "I do like that place but I'm a man born from nature. I can survive without all that fancy stuff." A few more steps, he hesitated to move too close due to his reason confession. Akabane's eyes focused on hers, face arrogant with a grin, hands in pockets. "I have a proposition then. Become my partner. You will receive my freedom in exchange for your own... or will you not fall for a bad boy?" The arrogance was very apparent.

[member="Rekha Kaarde"]

"I try to be fun, its boring to be otherwise" there was a time for seriousness it just wasn't right now. This was relaxation time, unwind time...so she was on her level best to be fun. He didn't think her odd for her appreciation of the Naboo designs, that was a relief she had so many other things that she could be considered odd over.

"Born of nature sounds..warm and homey....me well I guess that makes me born of duracrete and durasteel." All fluid and fun, until she hardened and then she was unbreakable. That description worked as good as any other. He was stepping closer she noticed..ok...she wasn't alarmed. She made sure to keep them on course to the other end of the lake.

"Partner?" that was a word she had not expected but she knew what to say to the other "Oh honey bad boys are all around us..bad boys are breaking my heart all the time." She winked at him, "when you say partner...what does that mean?"

What did he want.

[member="Akabane"]

Her description for what being of nature was made him chuckle. It wasn't something he expected. A lady acting this way tended to be unexpected by him. Even though he'd met many who did say such things, it was as if he forgot there were ones out there like that. When he found one he'd always appreciate, or savour the moment. The description of herself was quite funny as well. Not that he was mocking her... he just couldn't help but laugh. It would be fair if she assumed that to be the case though.

The reply he got caught him off guard. Before that she said bad boys were all around and broke her heart frequently. With a wink following. He wondered if she dated many people then. That's what it sounded like, and they must've been crappy boyfriends for that matter. She did wink so maybe it was a joke. He wasn't sure. Back to the reply though, she asked him to clarify on the partner thing. Again, it caught him off guard so he stared for a moment in thought. It seemed she was confused on his question or she just wanted to hear it once more. He sighed and prepared an answer. "You know what I'm saying... I've taken an interest in you. I wish to explore Miss Rekha and her secrets." Akabane tried not to sound creepy while his title probably still lingered in her mind. He was certain she'd refuse to be in a relationship with him, but maybe there was hope too.

[member="Akabane"]

OH! that's what he meant...not what she thought he meant....

She stood there for a moment not wanting to give him a bad impression...."um..." He is a sith she reminded herself. But maybe there was something to learn in this? About sith...about...him...she liked friends and she rarely parted from anyone as an enemy...course no one had been a sith before either........oh but that wasn't quite true was it....

"I'm..flattered...really." She was taking too long she knew it. "You may not like what you find out...just as a warning. I'm mouthy, sarcastic, and tend to be overly friendly." They would know after a few outings how this would go.

ORC has just fought the Sith. Technically they weren't on the same team. "You might like a real lady..as opposed to a bar maid." She smiled. She felt like she should sound more enthusiastic...she was caught a bit off guard............about all of it..

How she wished she could talk to her mother.

Akabane was aware of his sith ties possibly affecting her answer. It seemed as if she was hesitant to answer so he assumed that was the reason. He had no faction however and being a sith wasn't all that important to him. The only thing really making the man considered one of those creatures was his source of power. Other than that, he was a good man and tried to live as pure as possible. None of that mattered though. He hoped she could set that aside and appreciate the finer things about himself. Well, he wasn't quite sure what those things might be. One outcome he could guarantee though would be fair treatment to her over anything else.

She claimed to be flattered and tried to name bad qualities about herself. Akabane smiled because they were normal to him. He believed she was trying to push him away. Nevertheless he continued on. The next thing Rekha said was interesting. She assumed he would like a proper lady over her? Akabane laughed and shook his head slowly. "You're right. I would love to start a relationship with a cute princess... but I see a perfect woman right in front of me." He stopped smiling for a moment, remembering a young lady. "Your occupation does not matter. It shows what kind of worker you are though, and I can see you work hard, Miss Rekha." Akabane began smiling again as his crimson eyes locked onto her. He had a cruel and very inappropriate joke on the way. "I want to be a father, ya know."

It was such a bad joke.

[member="Rekha Kaarde"]

She laughed she couldn't help it, "Yes well I am perfection." She winked and laughed. She didn't catch the slight pause as his thoughts turned for a moment would she have asked him about it? Not tonight.

"A father huh. Have you had the birds and bees talk from anyone?" She smiled at him. She could be so odd in her humor at times and this was odd already so why not go one more step.

But in truth children were a long way off for her. She could see the ripples around the ship beginning to change. She slowed the ship down while she looked at Akabane. "Do I get to give you some pet name while we figure each other out?"

Lots of questions for him.

[member="Akabane"]

She agreed that she was in fact perfect, but he doubted she meant that seriously. Considering she laughed and all. He joined her in fun and amusement. In response to his joke, she sent shots right back at him. Akabane found an appreciation for her tolerance of his stupid humor. Not many people would let something as serious as conception was go by as a simple joke. It was nice to joke time to time in that a manner but he seemed to do it too much. Of course not in important situations. Luckily, someone on his level was the person involved so all was well. He chuckled. "Yes, yes. I'm fair at biology, ya know." He smirked at the end briefly.

Akabane grinned when she mentioned giving him a pet name. He looked away, "perfect indeed." In a mumble, he spoke honestly and to himself. He returned his gaze and wore a smile. "Go ahead, love. Call me whatever you see fit." He laughed internally. She was beyond interesting, Akabane felt blessed if only for a second.

[member="Rekha Kaarde"]

"Actually sir, I do not now how you fair at biology. I am however willing in time to....allow...some...." She was choosing her words carefully, "exploration of the subject." Yep that was a good way of putting it.

She tried not to laugh too much, "But then..." she could see the where she wanted to take him. There were a few ships there very few they had gathered to look at the site as much as she had. She sighed and then the ship slowly inched forward. Beneath the surface you could begin to see the gathering. The bay. "oooo a pet name of my choice...well then I must give this some thought." His name...let's see was there a play there. Aki....Bane....AkiB....cupcake....sithcake......hmmmm "I'll let you know when I come up with one..Akabane."

The ship was almost still. There what she wanted him to see.

She pointed to the shore, "do you see it?"

[member="Akabane"]

He was shocked in a way when she spoke about exploration of this subject. Perhaps the 'sir' surprised him as well. Akabane could only smile as his face slightly glowed. She my have picked what she thought were the best words, but he couldn't ignore the implications. It even made him blush for the first time in awhile. Only a little though. He maintained most of his resolve somehow. Akabane simply kept a smile on his face instead of giving a reply.

Rekha seemed to enjoy the chance to give him a pet name, later saying she'd let him know when she came up with one. "Do as you will."

Akabane listened and looked towards the shore as she asked him about it. He smiled, pleased with the view. "A beautiful formation, I must say." The glowing water was so pleasant to look at that he got lost into it for some time. Eventually he gathered himself and turned around. "Thanks for bringing me here, Miss Rekha. You are much like these waters." He turned back around to take in the view once more without explaining. Everything was so calming. It was peaceful.

[member="Rekha Kaarde"]

She felt it then, that peace in knowing that he was pleased by her choice. She had accomplished her goal she made him smile.

She did not say anything though she instead looked at the water. The very movement of the water gave her a sense of relaxation. She could let it all go and let nothing steal her calm in these moments.

She nodded still pleased with herself. The ship sat quiet drifting slightly with the current. She would drop anchor here and allow them time to just be.

She looked up to the skies and felt the familiar feeling of wonder.

"It's a perfect moment" The stars, the water, the glow of whatever made that..and the chance for new things. She hoped he would understand her silence, if he was a sith then he could sense her emotions if he chose to and know that she was happy.

[member="Akabane"]

He would've never guessed that she brought him here in hopes of making him smile. That was the purest thing he'd experienced in a long time... not that he was surrounded by evil every day. Many people just weren't trying to please a young fool like himself. Of course, Akabane wasn't asking it out of anyone. Once in awhile though... it felt good. He joined her in silence as nature consumed both of them. Then, she said simple yet oh-so interesting words.

Akabane would say the moment was indeed perfect too. The man grinned as the black void above him gave off nostalgia. Something had happened to his memory so he wouldn't know anything but the night sky filled him with familiar energy. It was fleeting energy though. He soon returned to his normal self. Akabane turned to view Rekha and she appeared calm despite him having declared himself as a sith. As a jokester he couldn't help himself from joking in this moment. Before he spoke though, he watched her in admiration. He didn't know many people who enjoyed nature as much as him. This somehow made him want to be serious for a moment instead of joking.

Looking away before he got caught, he started. "I apologize for not telling you sooner. I'm hardly a sith but owning that red blade doesn't help my case." Akabane felt like thoughts about him as a sith lingered in her mind. So he brought it up. "All that aside though, I am a good man." He took a few steps her way, all predictable ones in attempt to not scare her. "You can trust me. And if you feel unsafe, I'll leave." Akabane wanted to gain her trust back if he had any. They were only acquainted not too long ago after all.

[member="Rekha Kaarde"]

He had wanted to tell her sooner so that meant he had been thinking about it for sometime. She nodded, "Its ok that you didn't tell me. I mean. I'm well a stranger in a lot of ways. You have no idea how I would react." Her shoulders shrugged.

She let out one of those half laughs half breathing sounds, "I'm loud, sarcastic, have an odd sense of humor, lose focus easily, my mind goes like the energizer yoda" she laughed, "I sometimes drink too much, and I"m sure there's other things I'm forgetting. So...we'll see how this all works."

The night sky covered everything like a dark black blanket filled with little pin pricks to let the stars shine.

"You might decide at some point...that this is wayyy to much to handle." Others had...others...yeah he'd find out eventually that she had baggage too but that wasn't something that came out easily. She'd admit to being a ton of other things before letting that cat out of the bag.

"I'm safe. Do you feel safe?" She reversed the question on him.

[member="Akabane"]

Admitting to being a sith didn't come easy in the vast galaxy. Say it in some parts and chances of survival were slim. Of course jedi experienced some kind of similar treatment. Everybody has enemies and qualities that various people don't fancy. Akabane had many qualities himself that people didn't like. The title of sith was only a small portion. So maybe these two had one thing in common at the least - that would certainly be secrets.

Akabane smiled as she reasoned with his actions. This woman was truly kind and precious... She started to list off 'bad' things about herself, attempting reach common ground perhaps? He chuckled and shook his head. Laughter was contagious it seemed, more so if the initiator was as cute as her. Plus, all the things she listed didn't appear all that bad. In fact, it only increased his interest. She also added that it might be too much to handle at some point. Akabane grinned, while he looked at her in admiration. "You never know until you try, love."

To his surprise, she forced his question back upon himself. He simply smirked for a moment and then formed a smile. "I'm terrified darling. Please don't harm me!" Akabane grinned before going back to being serious. "I trust you, Miss Rekha. Even if we aren't all that close yet... I trust you." He topped it off with a half grin and a wink.

[member="Rekha Kaarde"]

She couldn't help but stand there for a bit now taking in these few little sentences. She wasn't sure really. "Well we'll give a whirl see where it lands. um..." This would sound odd coming from her because well how long had it been since she had done anything that came close to...getting close.

"Shall we just like take a couple of chairs and sit here on the deck. Or..." She turned and looked up at the monster on the hill, the casino. "There is the local entertainment if you want to look" Course she could ask him to go people watching.

It was a thing she did observation and then assign her own thoughts to who they were and what they were up to, the guy with the warts was here for surgery on the warts he'd go home a new man.........turned out she was wrong he went home a new woman. Oh that was bad...really bad...how did she miss that.

Anyhow...she just did not know what to do next...he had passed the note and she had answered with a check mark...........so next?

[member="Akabane"]

At this point the young man was enjoying their time teasing back and forth, but he felt like maybe he'd said something wrong. The lady seemed stuck in place and he could only assume himself to be the cause... Akabane seen this as good and bad though. Either he charmed her or scared her off. All those thoughts went away quickly however, as she accepted his proposal. Reluctantly maybe? Well, she was giving him a chance at least nonetheless.

So what was happening now? It looked as if she was ready to go on a date again. Well, if the flying counted, that is. Two options were presented: sit there on the deck and conversate over drinks, or go do something interesting like venture into the casino. Akabane wasn't certain which one sounded more enticing. He let his gaze relocate to the massive glowing structure. A small grin crept onto his face as he laughed out loud. He returned his eyes to Miss Rekha, as he straightened his jacket. "I would love to stare into your eyes under the stars but I bet the casino chandeliers would bring out their angelic beauty."

What a silly thing to say...
