Private The Way of Water

Worth the trouble She gave him a shy smile, she looked around the room eyes darted to them and away. This was fun wasn't it this was everything that a great evening was made of. "Thank you I needed to hear that. I want you to stick around let's just be together" She didn't want him to go and she would try her best to help him understand her, flaws included, just as she would try to understand him. Right now she understood one thing he wasn't going anywhere which made her smile all the more.

Her finger tips drew softly down his jawline, "We've a lot to learn about one another. We can find out as we go." She looked to their bet they made a little it would do. "So we have a few extra credits now" She winked at him, "And we've gotten lots of attention"

The only one still watching was the droids so..she'd would this part of the tale to him now as the stood there connected, exchanging glances, and touches in front of everyone.

"There's a group, lead by a man called Loup. He use to be Mon Loup but...." she looked down, "We had different ideas about life and parted ways." She reached out and removed the bet from the table, "Come walk with me to the balcony....I"m not fond of the races but the gentle breeze will be refreshing." She had to tell him this story. He deserved to know this in case Loup decided to do something foolish.

Emotions stirred within her that had not in some time. Oh she just...she could tell him everything tonight just throw it all out there but it would be better to tell him a little at a time and to build upon the bond they had started here. She couldn't help but stroke his cheek one more time to watching how his eyes watched her. The hint of mischief, the seriousness of his tone, and more how he made her feel like the center of attention.

Akabane Jarvik Akabane Jarvik

Akabane received a pretty good response from his partner-in-crime. First some gratitude and then her request for him to stick around so they could be together. He nodded with a smile to make sure she was reminded he would not be leaving anytime soon. There wasn't anything interesting happening elsewhere anyway, and he was quite happy where he was in the first place. The fun wasn't showing signs of leaving either. Akabane checked the time and did a periodical scan around the room.

Miss Rekha claimed they had a lot to learn about one another and he couldn't have agreed more. She also said it could be done as they went on, implying they wouldn't be leaving each other in the near future or so he thought. Her hand was focused on his jaw for this part of the conversation. Showing restraint seemed like to be more of a threat than the knives and blasters in the room. Along with the treatment he was already being gifted, a bonus came along in the form of money. They had scored a profit off the bet. She announced to him their winnings of both money and attention. The latter wasn't so exciting... but since she winked he carried on and pretended it didn't bother him. Akabane did like attention though so maybe he didnt have to pretend so much.

She started to talk about a former lover, or it sounded that way at least... well nevertheless, he was a leader of a group and may have been in a special relationship with the Lady. Soon enough they ended up parting ways and go down different paths? Akabane watched her as she took off their bet. He stayed silent as she walked, accepting her invitation and following in line. She touched his face once more and he simply retained a smile with his eyes lost out there in her own. "So you were in a group with this guy and he had a change of heart, then?" He suspected this is what she meant. "Where is he now? Have you ever contacted him?" Akabane was curious, even if it wasn't his business. "What a loss..." He silently said this while staring and running a finger over her bottom lip while caressing her face. It wasn't anything serious but he was seemingly losing himself. He wouldn't interrupt the story purposely though.

She had started the conversation intentionally because there was the other side of the things on this. "Yes, he felt that he needed more control, more revenge...and me..." She half smiled then, "I just wanted some peace." They drifted to the balcony her gaze went down for a moment and then turned back up to meet his gaze.

She wasn't one for a lot of secrets, she liked transparency especially given he wanted to be around and she wanted him around. She'd talk about Loup tonight the other would have to wait, no need in giving him sensory overload.

"We parted ways, and have upon occasion run into each other. He's currently running some operations on Coruscant, and I suspect here too." Green eyes looked up to the camera as she frowned. "A few months back he....took one of my shipments for the Lucky Lady on Coruscant. I being who I am...went after it. And then I....made him look bad in front of his folks" Her voice dropped for a moment.

"He and 3 of his guys visited me to.....teach me lesson." Lesson...he left her for dead. "Took me about 6 months to recover from the lesson. When I showed up here. A woman approached me and...said we had a mutual friend....she never told me how they were friends but....I don't need to know."

Rekha didn't smile she just kept her voice low and told the story, "He's still alive...and waiting....I tried to get him first lure him in...sucker punch him for it didn't work." She and Coren had set him up he somehow figured it out, be damned if she knew how.

"So..if he sees you around it might put you in his plans. You need to know this so that you are prepared..he doesn't play fair, and he means to win. And by winning I mean well you can figure that part out." She smiled now took that deep breath that said I got it all out and didn't cry once.. woohoo.

"So thoughts?" She looked up again, yep I told him she thought.
..so you can't HA HA

Akabane Jarvik Akabane Jarvik

The search for power had always been a growing obsession for Akabane time and time again... but never had he involved an innocent female in his plans. That was taking things way too far and bringing himself to witnessing the reality of his actions would be too much to handle. He had pride in his abilities and his own personal code, so if he got off track with his moral path... then bad things would be ahead of him.

This man though, he somehow had slipped up and allowed himself to go to those limits. Power felt good and all but no self-control, even as a sith could lead one down a very dangerous path. Akabane shook his head slowly while being mindful of her body movements. He had to be careful, this conversation could make or break him. It was a sensitive one and he didn't want to be goofy even if it was in his personality. Although what she said next didn't allow him to laugh. It was a horrible thing to have happen to someone, especially someone you've shown them your kind side and sworn to protect them.

To sum things up, this man started some trouble and she made sure it was brought to a stop. However he decided to punish her for doing the right thing? Her eyes attention were given to a camera and he gave it a terribly dark glare. Akabane was already quite angry about the situation. Concealing his force presence was going to be near impossible. If the anger wasn't already felt in the force, his crimson eyes were probably beaming like a lava pit. She said it took six months for recovery from their actions. He felt the pain in her voice and expressions. By now, he was so unbelievably upset. Akabane closed his eyes and attempted to calm down but his fist clenched without control. He listened as this was going down while trying to focus on avoiding losing it.

Rekha told him next that her and Coren tried to set Loup up, but ended up failing. Akabane felt like he was a good listener in most cases but it seemed to be bad for him in this situation. He was slowly finding a way to calm down though. His eyes revealed themselves as soon as she informed him of Loup's survival. This was interesting information. At the end of her speech, the point was brought across to him. He assumed she was telling him in the event that this man showed up tonight or anytime. She asked for his thoughts.

Akabane couldn't form any words immediately so he took a moment to and looked to the stars. Saying anything really felt like a struggle... but he was doing his best to hide away his anger. He grinned, not trying to be rude but showing just how scared he was. Akabane started his own story, walking to the edge before hopping onto the railing and playing a balance game. "Kro Var is a scary place Miss Rekha. I was born there so I find chaos a little too enjoyable. I experienced much struggle while growing up there. It taught me how to get through pain and such though." He lifted up a foot, creating an almost perfect right-angle with his legs. Akabane pointed to that foot. It probably looked normal in the boot but underneath was a robotic foot. "I lost my foot in training at a very young age... you see, training there was not safe. It was as if my opponent was always attempting to claim my life. As such, I always expect a strike to be for my vitals." He wasn't sure if he'd lost her yet but he explained anyways while bring his foot down to help balance on the railing. "So if he ever comes after me seriously trying to bring harm, I wont show any mercy. And if he shows up now? Well..." He hopped off of the railing and got close to Rekha once again. "...I'll have some encouragement to pick a bone or two."

Rekha Kaarde Rekha Kaarde

She smiled that little deviant part of her smiled thinking I'd sell tickets to see you pick a bone or two with him. She turned and leaned on the railing watching him as he did his little balancing act then she propped her head up with her hand looking out to the lake below back down there was it was calm and the only thing that she fretted was the waves.

Course the real freedom was in the stars her gaze traveled to the skies, "Kro Var I've heard it...and yes what I've heard is harsh and unforgiving. A place where weakness is removed." She looked at him, no that she thought he was weak but that the place had made him stronger through adversity.

Then he came closer to her jumping from his perch she didn't care about the foot but, "Did it hurt terribly when you lost your foot?" They had talked about all the other things and they might circle back but for now the foot was topic 1.

Akabane Jarvik Akabane Jarvik

Akabane didn't have any respect for anyone who treated a female in an undeserving manner. Anyone for that matter but females were just a priority for him. He would've gladly focused his attention on the man if he were ever to show up. In a way though, he was hoping that not to be the case since security had already been watching the two of them. Fighting a man was one thing but the casino's forces were probably more than enough to handle on his own. Plus, his partner would most likely need a hand in that situation. Sometimes he was thankful to have taken a darker path because power came easy. Of course he was aware of the damage it did as well... but protection came first and that's all that mattered.

Miss Rekha knew about his home and what it did to it's people. He missed it sometimes but living mostly carefree was something he'd never wish to give up. She then asked about his foot, curious about the pain it brought on it seemed. A frown found it's way onto his face. This wasn't because of sadness or feeling of being uncomfortable, he was unsure how it had went at the time. He was sure it was unimaginably painful but it was so long ago that he had no clue of what it felt like. The installation of a new foot could've been more painful for all he knew. Akabane lost the frown quickly after noticing his own shift in expression. He grinned and turned to view the land in the distance before he'd speak, hands clasped together behind his back.

"I cant answer that, for I have forgotten. It happened in a distant past after all. I'm sure though, that it was one of the worst pains that was inflicted on me." Akabane wasn't lying, he was a human and memory was faulty sometimes. This didn't mean he didn't remember the battle though. Not that he would openly talk about it. "Well I'm thankful for the foot I'm wearing now, it has come in handy quite few times and surprising an opponent never gets old."

Rekha Kaarde Rekha Kaarde

He had this movement about him really she wouldn't say it was stealth or predatory it was....graceful. A fact that made knowing his foot was not the original a tribute to just how much he could over come. She nodded when he said he couldn't remember. Yes memory is a tricky thing it can rob you of a lifetime, or torture you into the dark of the night.

She finally didn't care about anyone watching or of what was thought or whispered. Ms. White could record the whole thing and sell it on the dark web to whatever perverted little mind would want to watch. She could help but sigh heavily as she let it all go.

"I'm thankful for your foot too. I"m thankful for the sound of your voice as you patiently listen to me and talk with me. But I've shared all my deep dark secrets for the night and now I want to dance the waltz and turn some heads, and sometime tonight maybe entice you to kiss me." She smiled at him a bit of an invite for him to step in now and kiss her, if he so desired.

The evening could go in any way, "Soo.." She cocked her head slightly as she reached for his arm, "dance?"

The decision was his, she would give up lead to follow. At least for now.

Akabane Jarvik Akabane Jarvik

Miss Rekha's tone and language was ever so sweet the more they engaged in conversation. Akabane was appreciative of the way she kept things in her life open. Some things... you of course wanted to keep secret from the general public but she didn't hold back much from him. This treatment made him feel happy. He smiled as she displayed her affection in a type of declaration or maybe it was a confession. The young man wasn't too sure yet. One thing he was certain of though, was his feelings - those feelings being his care and concern for her. She appeared to be matching such things with him too. Things were going so well, he was wondering when tragedy would come their way. For now though, he decided to direct his focus towards the lady of his hour.

When she mentioned dancing and kissing Akabane smirked, turning to view his lovely friend. He let his arm body into formation while he took over as directed. "No complaints here, love. I don't ever recall dancing in a casino so this should be interesting." He assumed their floor would be on the balcony but if she wished for a different spot, he would take her there swiftly. "Will right here work?"

Rekha Kaarde Rekha Kaarde

She looked at him perhaps he wasn't sure how to take some of what she said when she said it. Maybe it was something..she didn't know she tried not to analyze stuff too much it lead to headaches.

"Right here works, but they have a club here, it isn't all gambling." She had been in here a few times looking around, scouting out, and just being a pain in the butt for the people watching. Tonight she wasn't trying to test them she was just trying to have a place where she and Akabane Jarvik Akabane Jarvik could talk without the interruption of customers and incoming messages.

"So..." She moved into his arms, "Let's dance" She smiled she as usual was making conversation. She was certain some things he had said would float away into memory but others she would hold onto.

Watching and feeling her warmth was so special. Akabane smiled as he thought about her. He had wondered if he had went and fell in love already. If so, he had no issue with it. This young lady wasn't evil, nor was she a bad person in general. She also showed that taking care of herself proved to be no problem. That made him admire her more and more... he held her close and didn't offer to let go. Akabane wasn't sure what to do with himself. Dancing seemed to be the next move however so that's what he engaged in with her.

Akabane started moving ever-so slowly with Miss Rekha, retaining a smile. He wouldn't admit it randomly but right now, he was happier than he could ever remember. It was strange how love altered emotions. Strange in every aspect... but he knew she was good for his health. Hopefully, it was the same on the flip side. His crimson eyes peaked with curiosity all of a sudden. Akabane was sure he'd mentioned it before but she was so trusting of him now. On the ship, he'd crashed their little dance with his stunt. And here she was back in his arms. He grinned, in a playful way. After a chuckle and looking to the side , and before returning his gaze into her eyes, he asked a pressing question. "Forgive me if I've already asked, but when did you get so friendly with the bad boy who waved a blade around on your ship?" It was more of a tease than a genuine question but he was expecting an interesting answer.

She laughed she assumed he was referring to himself. She kept that same grin couldn't help herself what kind of answer should she give him, "Welll" She started off her Keladian accent slightly heavier than usual, "It's not the first time I've seen him. We tried before to go splat on the back of a thranta in a deep dive. I thought I had scared him....but then he turned up again." She shook her head as she looked up at him.

"I figured he's as nuts as I am I found it attractive. Like I found someone who would understand......me. So I jump in with both feet see where it goes....at the very least we'll make some memories...at the very most we'll make a bond." She shrugged, she could be wrong about somethings but she knew from looking into those eyes that he saw her.

They just swayed slowly to the music as if alone in the room with no one watching. But eyes were watching and in time, not tonight their purpose would be revealed.

Akabane Jarvik Akabane Jarvik

Her playful response almost brought out a light blush in the once-confident flirt. Akabane really enjoyed her company and she wasn't holding back on making him feel welcomed, more and more as time passed. Keeping up his charm would seem to be difficult to do after awhile if she kept up her game... except this was no game at all. Perhaps they were seriously trapping each other within each of their hearts. Only time would tell but he was certain of his own feelings. The question he had was her own. He remembered all of their moments of emotion and how she spoke from the heart in each one, or he thought she did anyway. It would be fairly easy to sense offset emotions for him. Of course he could always be blinded by love.

It had happened before time and time again, which is mainly why he typically ran off before any serious commitment. Escaping one wouldn't have been too hard to achieve in the vast galaxy but he probably wouldn't have had the heart to do it. He also went for princesses for the most part, given his background although those relationships never seemed practical in the first place. Leaving a royal like that usually involved a lot more trouble than it was worth. Akabane really needed to stay out of trouble...

For some reason though, with her - Miss Rekha - he didn't mind risking it all. Everything. All he could focus on was her speech, features, and her own focus on him. He wanted to be able to be like this forever. That was a foolish wish however, but a fool the man was. Akabane smiled at her words about him and the goal she had set for their future. He moved his right hand up to her left cheek, right below the jaw line all the while dancing. Leaning closer to her face maybe a few inches away and while gently holding her, he spoke in a whisper. His crimson eyes scanned her delicate face like a scanner. "You got to watch out for men like that, darling... they won't stop until they have all of you." Soft and slow, he said such bold words.

Rekha Kaarde Rekha Kaarde

The touch on her cheek made her blush she looked down then quickly up. He was really sweet and from his eyes she could see how he meant every word he said. How could someone not want to be with someone who offered such honesty. He said words that made her want to melt inside and forget about the past. She wanted to revel in the idea that there was a possible future out there....that there was more.

"Oh you're telling me. Watching out for men like him...I think he has a secret....." She smiled she knew his one secret already, "I've seen some signs that red is his favorite color. So I don't know...my green eyes his sense of.." she paused, "red" she tried not to laugh, "well...let's say all we need is some lights right around for Winter Fete on Pelagon and we are sure to draw attention."

She moved to his left and just looked up at him. She however had not been so soft spoken, she had leaned closer and tried to sound natural. Any give away in her voice about the level of teasing she was doing and he might decide...on some recourse.

Akabane Jarvik Akabane Jarvik

The future had always been up to the predecessors to shape the best they could. Akabane had not doubt of their relationship having success. He wasn't even being cocky this time, the universe really shouldn't have had any reason to refuse such a fate. Both of them deserved happiness in the first place. Of course he always ran into trouble no matter the place and time. If they were gonna persevere in finding warmth for each other, it'd be a messy and long battle together. How ever long it would take though, Akabane was offering up all he was equipped with to see it through. Keeping her safe and healthy sounded like a good mission to be apart of and he, too believed tonight wasn't the end.

If Akabane was shooting a machine gun magazine of teases then Miss Rekha was using a rocket launcher. She kept playing along and it was oh so enticing to up the ante each time. He wondered when she'd give up though. Or sit here perhaps if she was going to give up rather... he wasn't requesting such things since it was so much fun to him, but he was sure something would come up. This lady was kind and had many qualities he could praise her for all day. That's all he wanted to do now, but he was aware of her business and Akabane knew how much time and effort that took. He also went out on trips himself. Growing attached was a scary thing in this wide galaxy, there was no pain greater than heartbreak.

She spoke of a secret that this man possessed. Akabane grinned while moving his hand back to it's dancing position. More firm this time, however not in an uncomfortable manner. "You think so?" He turned out to love the color of red. Blades of sith lords used the color in most cases but that wasn't why he chose that color as his favorite. The way she revealed it was so playful too, he loved it. She was keeping an eye on him quite well. He was too though. Akabane looked at her as well, almost stopping in place when she rested her eyes on him from below. A lot came to mind when they just stood there gazing, but he was speechless. He got some words out though. Before speaking his eyes looked out at the stars. "You're kind, love. Don't let me get so carried away though... I may get the wrong idea and let out the bad boy in me." He grinned at his own words, which were a terrible tease.

Rekha Kaarde Rekha Kaarde

She wasn't the type of girl that batted her eyes and flipped her hair no she was the girl that saw the open door and stepped through it careless of the circumstances or consequences.

"Every girl loves a bad boy dear...surely you are aware of that." She smiled big she felt the firm hand upon her it gave the slightest hint of this is mine. She knew that this would take work. Her job, all of them some of which she could never ever reveal not even to him. But then...she had to remember this was new this had the ability to get carried away real quick.

She wasn't putting on the breaks but she was reminding herself careful of how much she revealed. Too much a problem, not enough a problem....she needed moderation.

"I have to travel back to Coruscant to the Lucky Lady. it's my main place of business. This is for fun and puts me close to everyone." She didn't want to say it put me close to the gun runners and politicians. "Maybe you would come to Coruscant, its....busy, smelly, and....never a blue sky, but...I can offer a tour of the place. What do you think?"

There you go Kaarde, slow and steady.

Akabane Jarvik Akabane Jarvik

There had been times when something abnormal had showed itself in the mix of events, making him truly a bad boy. Luckily that was only in times of injury or great distress, He was better at controlling his powers now though. Along with maturing abilities came his sense of humbleness. Many sith were prideful and showed no mercy. His master - although he lost memories of him - displayed the type of sith to be. Of course this man was of a whole new level. Feared and respect by many in both Confederate and foreign territories. Needless to say, Akabane was disciplined when it came to his darker powers. The dark has taken over his fighting style since a child. That was not a hard feat in the first place but still one that required attention. All thanks to Darth Metus... but never would he know him again. Maybe.

Long story short, Akabane was trying to behave himself physically and emotionally. However she was making it very difficult considering how well she fought him in teases. Holding her while doing all that was leading him into trouble as well. Attachment never got him anywhere. Why would it with her? If anything, his warning to her should've been said to himself. His mind was losing focus while trying to decipher everything. Akabane Shizuna was losing his cool-headed ways just by realizing this. If Miss Rekha could feel a difference, his dancing lost its sync with hers. His thoughts consumed him. Then, she gave out an invite to one of her other places of business. He was kind of zoned out and nodded, giving a reply soon after snapping out of it. Akabane's head was still foggy but he continued being playful as best as he could.

He stopped for a moment before replying. She was asking him to visit her place on Coruscant. That place... it had been awhile so he didn't remember much but it gave off mixed vibes. It was with Miss Rekha though so he was sure it'd be interesting. Akabane decided that it was a good idea and smiled. It sounded like fun. "A tour and a drink, and I'm in." He was a fan of the liquor so why not share a drink while they're at it. After thinking about how he was not being himself earlier and about losing it, he was curious as to if she had the same thoughts. "Do you really trust me to travel with you to your workplace? I might wave that blade around again like a villian." He would never but add a smirk and it was worth the tease.

Rekha Kaarde Rekha Kaarde

Oh there was that little taunt he couldn't resist and she wasn't backing down. Call it pride, call it whatever word you want but she wasn't giving in to fear, that is what got folks killed.

"I trust you to travel with me,. If you get out of hand, I'll have two choices, put you in the escape pod and jettison you to wherever, or shove you out an airlock. As for the blade you dance with...I'll risk it with my blaster." She often found that forcers tended to overthink and want elegance she wanted get it done.

"Have you been there before, to Coruscant?" She met very few who had not been there, and while she was being a good girl this was her version of taking it cautious. She was finding out what she could from him.

"Can we leave in the morning? I need to be fresh to pilot so we don't run into an asteroid during a jump. Now..that's one thing...I currently don't share pilot duties...you ok with sitting in the co-pilot chair?

Yes there were somethings that would take time and patience flying her ship high on the list. It was her baby.

Akabane Jarvik Akabane Jarvik

She seemed pretty set on risking the trip and her life just to drag him along... maybe he had gained some of her trust. It was almost for sure that he had anyway. That went both ways though, he felt like having faith in Miss Rekha was one of his more smarter moves. Akabane of course cared about her too, so naturally he found comfort in being in her presence. He didn't know too many things about the beauty before him, although he was interested in learning. So this travel with her was gonna be an interesting one. There was plenty of time to explore each other's life on the way to Coruscant and he was going to enjoy the fun while times were relaxed. That's all he wanted. To settle down even if just for a moment.

All jokes and teasing aside... he was going to have to be careful on this journey. Not because of her, but because of her previous contacts. While he should've kept an eye out for Miss Rekha, whatever harm she threatened he really did not mind. Nonetheless, he highly doubted she'd be all this friendly with an ulterior motive. Akabane couldn't sense it if that was the case. Either way he decided to take his chances. Whatever happened he was content with it as long as she was there.

Her reply was pretty much teasing right back at him, or so he thought. He grinned in response to it. Akabane nodded at her first question about if he'd been to Coruscant before, not saying much but still showing that he was focused on her. Then she asked if the morning was okay for departure time. That was a reasonable time so he agreed to his. He let go of her but kept one of her hands with his, smiling with warmth preceding his answer. His reply would be lighthearted, hopefully. "We better drink lightly tonight then, love. Shall we?"

Akabane was letting her lead the way but he figured making a suggestion such as that would keep things interesting.

Rekha Kaarde Rekha Kaarde

She grinned, "What do you consider lightly?" She was a bartender and had learned several secrets over the years to survive in a place where everyone wanted to buy a drink for her, for whatever reason.

But it would be interesting to see what he thought, was lightly a glass, or a bottle...or somewhere in between? She could see it in his eyes his mind working things out. Curiosity when his brow drew down slightly, provoking thoughts when the creases became deeper, little twitches here and there that she hadn't figured out yet.

But each time he came to the same conclusion, he was going to trust her and go with her.

She was trusting him too, a sith when she had done nothing but hate sith her entire life. And....here she was holding hands with one and making like all the world is their playground. If she dared to think about anything else this could crack break, and sever her trust completely. This was a giant gamble.

Akabane Jarvik Akabane Jarvik

His eyes seemed to grow brighter with her question. Akabane didn't want to give her a straight forward answer, no... it was in his personality to maintain a fun character. Alcohol was one of the few things that brought him closure in a day so he stayed consistent with the amount he consumed. However that didn't mean he refused to use it for enjoyment time to time as well. He didn't party much, having developed more responsibilities but on a rare occasion or for the right mood... Akabane would allow himself to tap into such pleasure. Regardless of the past though, he had to offer up a reply for his newly found partner. She wasn't of the normal crowd so he would try his best to answer with something befitting of her.

Hm. Akabane wasn't necessarily sure how much was too much or too little. Every body was different so maybe his suggestion didn't make much sense considering their varying bodies. Of course it was a tease most likely. She had experience in spirits and wine. He grinned too, she knew exactly how much was too much. Or so he believed that much to be true. He personally thought too much was waking up to a hangover, if that was even possible for him. However, building a tolerance and taking the right preparations could avoid such outcomes so maybe that wasn't a good answer. He focused on her little facial expression and smiled. "Well, we have time to find out. I won't spoil the fun."
