The Yovshin's Blade

[Junko Ike]

THe woman gave a nod of her head when they went over the details, showing where they could start expanding the farmlands and areas of protection. They were setting up more of the area to expand the walls of the village. "This should be one of the places where we can go and set all of the things up. Give ourselves a number of brand new areas or some of the places that you will be able to start growing new things." There was a smile on her face though as she liked the idea of cultivating the entire valley.

Lady Wisteria seemed to be pointing out to some fo the other areas the forest that they were wanting to work with. "We'd have to enter it though and the villagers who have went there have reported strange sightings and feeling. There might be a need for jedi investigators of the area to tell what they might be doing. It could be more spirits or a place where the force swirls and it manifests with all of the people... or they could just be thinking they see things." She was wondering what the woman had been getting told about it.

"I will report this back to the people, sending you and a small group might help their nerves and fears but it doesn't have to be done. The expansion areas and plans will also make them happy as some more families have shown up to work the soil and make new credits. The promise of higher paying wages then what the miners guild can offer is an impressive incentive for them to come to the valley and they spend plenty of credits at the businesses you own in the village. THey even are welll aware of who owns them."

"I will do both, send a team and go visit these woods myself, perhaps there is something there, perhaps it is just paranoia and fear but either way will prove interesting and allow me to work with the people instead of just sitting up here and expecting them to follow my orders or commands. It will go a long way in serving the purposes of the ORder as well since it will give the jedi at the lake temple something to look over and bring about with their own works." Junko said it and believed it, very important stuff.

This all presented for them a number of different and new things as Junko sat back in the throne looking down at the others. Staying with her attentions on the others who came in and were standing there with her. Lady Wisteria was leaving but some of the other problems of the people that were here. She gave a small look until looking over then. Some were old men, some were the younger ones who were coming here to try and appeal for a spot within her guards and the soldiers. As the valley expanded then they would need more soldiers.

Junko was waited to hear them when she gave a nod of her head. "Proceed." She thought about it when she was working on more of the things, staying there when the one man came up she was given a small datapad that would be able to work on some of the things. Presenting herself with a nod of her head for him to start speaking to her. "Thank you queen lady, ah I ame here cause there was an offer for new soldiers. With a lot of pay to live by." Junko looked at him while he was speaking with a look at his records.

Her hand came up to silence him as colorful as he seemed to be well she wasn't going to turn someone who at least had the potential to protect the people down. The Yovshin themselves would easily be able to handle him, they would be able to provide a number of methods to break him down and rebuild him as a respectable member of the small community they were fostering out here. "Very well then, you shall be hired and trained, your fate though and if you will make the credits you seek in this endeavor however will not be up to me."

The man seemed happy with it but Junko continued. "THe decision if you make it will be with the Yovshin commanders as they control the military and our standing guards here. From the training I have seen and gone through it will not be easy and if you fail you shall be given compensation and possibly a small offer if you stay around to be in the militia but I make no promises." Junko watched him as he was being escorted to go with the guards offering some of the things now. Staying her small hand.

He was led away and able to be taken with them, they would mold him or at least make him less ah... loud in some cases. The swagger and the danger of it all would be there but here there was a contant stream of new and exciting things going on before the jedi princess saw another group there. THey according to the datapad were wanting to settle a dispute over some of the land. The lines were unclear for what they were wanting to do. She knew some fo the smaller problems in the village might not seem important but it was important to get the peoples opinions.

"What seems to be the problem between the two of you?" Junko sat there and the datapad was vague but there seemed to be quite a lot of work that went into it. They were developing the house off the back of one of the small market stalls and it was causing problems from his employees to the other ones. Her house was getting the waste instead of the converters that would break it all down. Instead of waiting for sanitation but they were having to handle most of the things. She could see hopefully a good end to this dispute.

Junko looked at this as a way to develop and add some of the wisdom to it, something that would be impressive and feed into her own skills as a jedi. This could show so many more things for her that she wanted to be impressive but was not completely sure of what it would be or what it would mean. THoughts about the situation. "So his employees are refusing to adhere to the sanitation and recycling that helps fuel the new technology that we brought in to keep the village healthy as well as able to give the people what they need."

She was looking at more of it and the situation was not one of difficultly. They had set up the sanitation and converters to break down waste and everything so that they would be able to keep the village clean and continue to have supplies within it. instead of having to deal with some of the simple things they would be able to get what they want and what they need. "It seems the problem is that your employees are acting lazy despite us making a very simple process and setup for keeping the village clean."

Junko looked at the shop keeper as it was his business, his job to keep and maintain the employees. "The employee who is doing it is in your place of business, you are in need of handling this affair. if he continues to do it there will be penalties to you in the way of fines." She looked at him and he seemed releaved that that was the only thing that was happening to him. She stayed there for the time. "If you do not know which one it is, we shall handle such a thing ourselves with the local guards and they will not be as kind in interviewing and figuring out who it is."

She didn't plan for them to hurt people but they weren't going to let it stand. Having them pay or staying in one of the cells for a day or two to learn would be acceptable. Something to make it a rather unenjoyable experience to keep doing as the jedi princess allowed them to get outside and discuss it with some fo the guards and investigators while she went over the datapad to get all fo the information on the next case. They were almost done and her time here at the court was going to be done. Next could come the frills of it.

The meetings with the different people were done, the time now for them to report and show what they had found in the regions was coming which would give her a whole lot of fun and interesting things. Some brought her trophies of some of the more dangerous creatures, both as gifts since the sithspawn here on the planet could benefit the jedi who studied them allowing them to find better ways to protect against them, the other was when they found force crystals or even some of the more rare deposits for the planet.

Junko looked at one of the men in the village came, he was older and she had met him when he first came here. At the time he was rather old and frail seeming from the work he had been doing and now he was able to make it up the stairs here. That gave her some things to work on before the jedi knight spoke motioning him forward. "Welcome welcome." He was happy to see her while shaking her hands. "Thank you thank you." Turning it over when the two girls with him who were showing the different stones he had found.

"Oh what have you brought here now." She was curious as it was all brought up to her with a look over her face when he presented a chunk of aurodium with a smile on her face. Junko was seeing it with a smile when there were other things. Crystals and gemstones. "Where did you find these and are there more?" She was curious these looked like something that might be within a tal's treasure horde and they were very territorial. The old man was speaking with a smile on his face while showing it.

"Here in a cave, it was there with a body looked like it had been for quite a long time and there was a lot more. We were just not sure how to bring all of it up here to you." Junko looked at him and she wasn't one to demand such things, often the farmers brought her their crops some of them, the finest they had grown or the largest. THings that were simple and had value in more of a symbolic view instead of say in a practical view. She didn't need jewels or gold or aurodium... but it was so pretty.

Ah so they had found a tal's horde, likely one who had died alone when there was no one else here and none of their children had returned to claim the treasures for themselves. "You don't have to bring me everything, the riches we have here are for all of us. We'll retrieve it but put it somewhere where if needed you and the village can use it for going to places like the imperial city or for restoration projects like the underground tunnels and store houses here and in the mountains."

There was a small smile on her face though while working with them when she was sure on many of the things they had presented until she was giving her full attention to the case that he had brought. Giving the coordinates to the different crews so that they would be abel to work on all fo the other things with a nod of her head. THey could gather it all and make a small vault like area that would store it and any other valuables they might be able to find to use for trade purposes and buying things.

Junko waited there to hear more about what they were doing and what they were bringing, her own ideas on the subjects and some of the people brought the finest crops they had grown. Fruits and veggies, their livestock with the fattest calf for a feast the palace could throw. "These are all lovely, see they are done and we shall have a feast with all of the village invited here to the palace. It might be a bit of a walk but it will just mean the food will be better to sate your appetites." The main area to eat could be filled with hundreds of people for a meal after all.

Junko was looking at soem of the bigger things they had to do while her interest in it all here was just getting bigger they had brought food, rishes, special products that they thought she might like. One of the farmers was presenting her with from their farms one of the bolts of vine silk that he kept and she bowed her head in thanks to his works. This was a big thing to just give a person and it was not something easily done. She knew with this and given worlds like Coruscant, Denon and even Alderaan it could be worth a lot.

She was taking many of the ideas they were presenting and liking all of it, the sigils and banners that were all around them before the jedi princess was taking a few of the ideas they had to work on more of it. She rose up seeing them as her voice came out. "It is time for a little celebration, you have all done well and now as they prepare and start to cook the food for a feast. So go and get your families, go and get your friends everyone will get to have a chance to eat here and enjoy what they are doing in the palace."

Junko had a party to set up and behind her in the open forest that she could see it was a massive area, all of those trees and all of those sections of it on the other side of the mountain. The only places that were visible to her though were the small sections of the forest. She wanted to work on the things that they had been developing for themselves with a nod of her head. She would go and explore the forest but would want to get as much information as she could to understand what they were walking into.

Junko tapped the area rising to go and get ready, wearing her robes was fine but she needed to look proper and as best as she could for the feast. "We will need to get ready." She looked at some of her servants who were working on things with a nod of her head going into the room and stripping down. Junko understood why as the make up and traditional atrisian looks were to be applied before the robes and outfit were given to them. So she couldn't ruin it and mess it up as they started to apply the make up for her.

Junko sat there while they were handling it, the white body paint that was being applied to her upper chest, neck and up to her hair almost in some places, the dapping it to get the moisture away before they were putting oil and wax into her hair for it to stay in one place for the night and look reflective. Her mass of hair was given different colors aside from the amber and black as she had requested so that it would have decorative streaks and match in ways her robes themselves. Draw a contrast and fit in before the rest.

Junko looked over more of it before she stretched herself out in the make up. All of it was there and she could see herself in the mirror while her eyes were looking a little wider and bigger with the eyeliner. It gave the jedi princess a look she could enjoy as they set her back in the robes ensuring that she looked every bit as regal in the make up as she did with the others. Hiring new dancers who would be able to come from the Heartbeat Dance Studio was essential to the goals of the palace to make it a welcoming place where others could come.

Junko was all dressed seeing herself as she was given a fan stylized for the atrisian before she was walking down the hall and could hear the music. It was all in full swing with the people from the village and her people in the palace all working together to make this a festive event. She saw the others who had gone out coing back with the horde from the Tal's cave allowing all of the people to take some for themselves. No more then they wanted to carry around and she was glad that they were not greedy but a thing or two.

Junko got to see all of it was in full swing though as she walked getting bows and some praise. The jedi princess enjoyed all of it as adoration for hopefully her works with them and not her status. While it was true a jedi accepted no rewards except thanks.. this was thanks and the rewards was a meal other then food cubes.. Really there wasn't a whole lot of things wrong with that when you thought about it before she saw some of the villagers from Wisterioa's parlor coming and entertaining the others.

Junko was liking the look of what they had staying over with all of it when she had a grin on her face enjoying the looks that they all had. The massive groupings of people before she was finding her seat and looking out at all of them. Some had brought their children and they were all playing with a nod of her head. They were all working beautifully and prepared to eat when the food was being cooked, she was glad to see the children playing and having fun while showing respect for what was around them.

Junko was enjoying what she saw and found, interest in more of the people themselves so she could meet and have interest in what the villagers below her so she just wasn't in charge of faceless people. Providing them with some things they would be able to do, something that they would be able to meet up with and talk so she would stay grounded and connected to the people. "Welcome welcome." She was looking at all of them with a nod patting some on the back while others she was shaking their hands.

"Welcome all of you." Junko moved around with many of them before she was presenting plenty for them to do and leading the way for all of them to go through into the large dining room. Tables had been set up for all of them to sit as she saw the people to seats making sure they had the different things to drinks. From juices and waters for the kids to different alcohol for the adults if they wanted it but they would have to take care when going home or be escorted down with some of the transports to protect them from harm.

Junko looked and spoke with a few others she had not seen initially while going over towards her seat. Staying with it to give some interest to what they wanted all of the people to do until she was almost hopping around excited at the prospect of eating with all of them and the feast's food was brought out. Served with much showmenship as the chef was slicing into it more fancy allowing all of them to get a piece before he went around and gave Junko the best portion. A small amount as she didn't want much but still it was beautiful.

Junko had her food with a nod of her head while her fingers wrapped around the electrum utensils. The fork and knife was there with a nod of her head to the things that they were doing. All of the people were talking and then were suddenly silent as they looked towards her sitting at the head of the large table. Providing them with direction of course when she saw one of the kids go to eat and his mother slap his hand to make sure he didn't so as not to interrupt her. it was all rather interesting and exciting.

"Thank you all for coming, I know it isn't often that we will have things provided for you but your work is what will make our time here, is what will make the valley here, the village, the area prosper. With the aid of the jedi temple there and the guards I have we will be able to move forward in looking to expand for you through the area. I want to work on getting you all new farmland you will be able to cultivate, new areas in the underground tunnels we will be working on to clear and section off so that is can become habitable again."

She had worked out the ideas but there were other plans she had, the surface of this world was always left largely untouched, providing them a chance to dig and create homes underground. A keen defense if you didn't want people to find you when you were going across the galaxy and attacking primitive cultures. It allowed them to play defensive for a time and also gave the jedi princess a number of places below the surface they would be able to go and expand into eventually so that the village would prosper.

Junko sat there with her giving a nod of her head when she finished speaking and all of them began to eat. After she took the first bite with her hand holding up a glass that was being filled with some of the sake. Mild this time, not the hard stuff she had taken to the party and not the stuff she brought out for special times with other people one on one. The forest was a place she would want to try and expand into but there was a lot of it and she had to admit that there was a strangeness to it, something sinister was in there.

Junko was going over it all in her mind and there was a chance she could have been imagining it but the crystal beacons in the stone lanterns were not just for show. They came off more like barriers that could be erected to keep something contained or to at least mark the border of somethings influence. The scout teams that had gone into the forest had reports strange things happening, increased perception that drove over into paranoia and fear instead like their mind was in a constant state of flight.

Some more time passing as Junko could listen in on a couple of the conversations and frivolity that was going on around all of them. She could see more provided with a number of things to develop the cooler sections before the plates was empty in front of her. She scraped it with her fork for a moment getting the rest of it while she watched all of them. The guards were eating in shifts to guard and join in the festivities before she was thinking about some of the very nice things they had been giving her some ideas.

She was wanting to make sure that this here, this community, this sense of togetherness that they all had was what kept them together. Junko would do a lot to work with so they would have something to be proud with her for and the valley leading towards the jedi with the river would come in handy. They had developed mid way through a section that would meet one of the waterfalls from another river coming out fo the mountains and down from the polar regions. The waterfall would go into a new military base they could have to protect them.
