There's a Fly in my Soup! [Elpsis]

[member="Elpsis Kallikora"]

No matter where they would go they would be surrounded by coppers. As air speeders descended around the they went up, and began their dance of dodging the spot lights. They had to get out of sight as soon as possible, and Abaigeal ran across the roof top toward the edge of the building. As she approached she pushed the force to her legs and leaped off, crossing the gap between the this roof and the next. She hit the roof hard and turned to see if Elpsis was close behind her.

As she waited, Abaigeal looked around to see if there was an escape route, nothing appeared immediate and the search air speeders would soon look to the other roof tops. If they could find an air vent or maintenance shaft they might yet get out to this dangerous situation. "We need to keep going, there is nothing here", she said as Elpsis approached.

Coppers, coppers everywhere! Alas the Nal Hutta version of Constable Bobby was a most unpleasant fellow. Truth be told, it was very difficult to distinguish him from the common criminal based on behaviour. Minus the fact that he tended to be better armed and armoured. Beyond that it amounted to the same thing.

As searchlights swept over the streets Elpsis ran after Abaigeal, breaking into a sprint when she jumped over the edge of the rooftop. With the Force surging through her legs she managed to close the gap and land on the next roof with a hard thud. A groan escaped her throat as she got up, feeling rather wobbly on her legs and breathing more heavily than she would have liked. Even adrenaline and the Force could only get you so far before it started to take a toll on your body. Especially given how little training she had received.

The roar of engines heralded the coming of the air speeders as they began approaching this building and so she pushed herself to increase her pace as she furiously searched for an exit. "There, there's an air vent," she spoke quickly to Abaigeal, when she finally found it. Feeling very impatient and quite pissed, she called upon the Force to grip the vent and brutally pull it open.

"Let's go," she called to her friend and broke into a sprint, but in this exact moment a speeder shot down from the air. Flares were fired by the coppers and lit up the roof, providing illumination...and putting them right into the spotlight. Coppers wasted no time with unloading blaster bolts upon them as Elpsis bolted, pushing the Force to her legs to increase her speed as she raced across the roof. She was getting closer and closer to the air vent...just a few more steps, then she suddenly cried out in pain and fell to the ground, hitting the roof with a hard thud when a slug round hit her in the back of her leg.

It would be all in the timing. It always is. Abaigeal spotted the vent and ran for it after Elpsis pointed it out, but it was to late. She stopped in her tracks and turned to see Elpsis fall to the surface of the roof, she had been hit and the air speeder began to descent to the roof. Abaigeal went to her friend, and crouched down to quickly see the damage of the bolt. She is incapacitated, at least enough for her not to be able to run and now they are trapped.

Abaigeal looked around over the roof top, looking for anything that might help defend off these coppers but found nothing save the grill from the vent. She thought about using it against but the metal not strong enough to make any impact of the speeder. Her ability to use telekinesis good but not good enough to through the speeder, it would only push it aside at the very most. Then she had an idea, it would be there only hope.

"Get ready with your blaster, can you stand?", she whispered to Elpsis as she stood up and raised her arms in the air to indicate surrender. The sound of more coppers could be heard coming up to the roof, they would be here soon, and they would be arrested and subjected to force knows what.

Abaigeal's saber is concealed under her jacket and ready to jump to her hand as soon as the speeder got close enough for her to launch toward it. If they could get control of the speed they might just get away.

So far Elpsis had decided that Nal Hutta sort of pissed her off. Maybe next time she should go somewhere nice and sunny like...Tatooine. It was covered in sand, which was coarse and got everywhere. Then again, with Elpsis' luck it would probably end with her having to fight every gangster in Mos Eisley. Any time her mother [member="Coryth Elaris"], visited that planet something bad happened. Hmm. Maybe mother would no longer be so cross about that one time when Elpsis boarded her ship and tried to raid it if she burnt down Mos Eisley!

Anyhow, there were more pressing matters to be concerned with. For one, her leg was bloody hurting. Sure, slugs were not that impressive or powerful, but it still hurt like the dickens, though she managed to stand with a deep groan, shaking slightly. Realising what Abaigeal was planning to do she likewise raised her arms in what appeared to be surrender.

The speeder came closer and closer as it swooped down. One of the coppers carried a loudspeaker, which he used to great effect. "Weapons on the ground and get down on your knees. Now! This is your last chance to get out of this alive. Resistance is futile." Well, that was dramatic and motivating. Down on the ground coppers were already entering the building, thus cutting off that avenue of retreat. Eventually they would have ascended the stairs and be up on the roof.

"Ok," Elpsis said quietly, in what to all intents and purposes seemed like a meek, submissive tone, with a strong note of fear, as she tossed her blaster aside. Then suddenly the Force surged inside her, manifesting in her talent for pyrokinesis. Summoning a fireball would do her little good, but she was going for something else. And so suddenly the coppers on the speeder would be assaulted not by fire, but by a flash of very bright, burning light that would light up the darkness, confuse and blind them in the way a flashbang would. Just for a second or two, maybe three, but sufficient. The Force was pulled into her muscles and she leapt into the air. As she launched herself towards the speeder the discarded blaster was once again pulled into her grasp.

[member="Elpsis Kallikora"]

The cue came in the form of her sensing Elpsis summoning the force around her, what her friend had in mind she could not tell, but the pull on the force was powerful. Agaigeal did the same, push the power of the force to her legs. "I am going to shove that speaker down that guys neck", she whispered. As soon as the force released from Elpsis, Abaigeal jumped high in the air in hope to land on top the air speeder.

She had expected balls of fire or the like, but instead a bright flash of bright light filled the area and not only temporarily blinded the coppers but Agaigeal as well. "Oh shhhhiiii...". She landed on the speeder with a thud and rolled over the side, the wind pushed out of her lungs and she lay there for a moment trying desperately to gain air once more.

Abaigeal now had saber in hand as she stumbled up on her feet, shaking her head to regain her sight, as if that would help. But the blindness did not last long and she had her sight back. Opening up the side door that faced away from Elpsis position, she reached in a grabbed one of the coppers, the one with the speaker and pulled him out of his seat, with a swift hit to the side of his head with her saber hilt, the guy was out cold for the night.

[member="Abaigeal E'ron"]

Well, that had not gone completely as intended! Blinding Abai as well had not been something Elpsis had planned. Then again, she had not really planned much. Fortunately her friend's temporary blindness had not lasted long.

As for Elpsis, she leapt through the air towards the speeder as she launched herself towards it much like an organic missile or a boulder chucked by a catapult. With the coppers aboard the vehicle temporarily blinded, they were firing, well, blindly! Spinning through the air in mid-flight she weaved through an uncoordinated, poorly aimed hail of bolts. Then she crashed right into the pilot of the speeder, just as he regained the use of his sight.

The impact...hurt a lot. As a matter of fact Elpsis was temporarily knocked out cold from the sheer force of the crash and so she ended up rolling over and down the speeder before she finally managed to grab ahold of the door and pull herself up and back into the vehicle. The aforementioned pilot was not so lucky since he fell out of his craft and to a presumably very painful death into the street that was far beneath them. Gravity, thou art a heartless queen, as [member="Coryth Elaris"] would no doubt say!

Elpsis was reeling and the wind had been knocked out of her lungs but she soon recovered, breathing heavily. As a heavy boot came for her face her lightsabre chopped off the leg of the offending copper. At least they had a vehicle now!

[member="Elpsis Kallikora"]

The last of the coppers in the air speeder was dispatched forthwith and his body dumped on the roof surface minus his leg. Abaigeal scrambled into the air speeder and took the controls. "Quickly jump in!", she yelled to Elpsis. Elpsis soon seated next to her.

The radio of the air speeder filled the small space with many voices, barking orders and requesting information on the situation. "Jenkins! what is going on up there? I can hear blaster fire". Came one of the demands.

Abaigeal opened the com, "This is, ... Seargent ... Skyrunner", she looked to Elpsis and shrugged as it was the only name she could think of at this point. "We have the fugitive in custody and returning to headquarters". Abaigeal lifted the air speeder to the night sky in a hope to get them away as fast as she could. "You ok?", she said looking down at Elpsis's leg.

"Who the hell are you?!, Skyrunner?".

Well, it was worth a try.

[member="Abaigeal E'ron"]

"Skyrunner?" Elpsis could not help exclaim. In all fairness, this was a galaxy where people had names like Skywalker and Starkiller! Or General Grievous!

Anyhow, it seemed the friendly coppers had not bought their ruse, judging by the fact that scanners would show more speeders closing in. "Feth it. Get us out of here. I'll shoot," Elpsis grunted. Right now Nal Hutta was kind of pissing her off. She grabbed a blaster rifle that had been left behind by a copper. Not a moment too soon because speeders were closing in on them.

She tried to calm herself and steady her aim as she willed the Force to heed her call, then squeezed the trigger. The first incoming speeder was hit by a volley of crimson kill-bolts that blasted the pilot's head off.

She looked a little sheepish over to Elpsis but her face broke into a grin, "Yeah I know, not my greatest moment", she said refering to her name choice.

Abaigeal did not need a second invitation to get them out of there, but to where? That mattered little at this point in time and she floored the peddle and the air speeder bolted ahead. She pushed it's limits, the speeder protested under her command with high engine revs and shuddering but it held up. Lucky this is not Coruscant, the sky lanes minimal and easy to dodge. However, Abaigeal would use the buildings to their advantage as she ducked and weaved the speeder around them.

Of course the coppers speeder is tracable, the persuit hot on their tails and even if they had lost them, the trace would. They had to get away and have enough distance between them and the pursuit to get away. Or find alternative transport.

Having left the comlink open, the two would hear the communiations although clipped now, and probably not to be trusted. Abaigeal continued moving the speeder fast, her eyes looking for a place to land and with crowd for cover. Finally they reached what would be an entertainment quarter, well the whole planet was one big entertainment quarter, but this area more populated and they could get lost in the crowd.

There was not time to hide the speeder, in a swooping arc, Abaigeal landed the speeder in the main street and jumpled out. There is a flow of pedestrians going either way and by sheer luck they are closer to the starport in which is Abaigeal's ship. But that would be too dangerous now, no doubt locked down and authorities on the look out for them.

"Come on lets disappear", she said as Elpsis joined her.

And so our two anti-heroines had escaped the clutches of the horde of corrupt coppers thanks to Abai's piloting skills! Well, that was the good news. The bad one was that seemingly everyone still wanted to capture or kill them and they faced the conundrum of how to escape the planet, since Nal Hutta seemed terribly uninviting this season.

The speeder was brought dow into the main street in a swooping arc and Elpsis quickly hastened out after Abaigeal. The speeder was very traceable and the pursuit was hot, but they could get lost in the massive crowd of pedestrians that had filled the streets. In the distance she could see the spaceport, a sight that made something like hope surge through her body, but before it could overtake her she realised that her ship would be a good deal less accessible than she had thought. Undoubtedly the 'port was under lockdown and would be swarming with coppers.

Feth. That ship had not been much. Well, truth be told it had been barely serviceable half the time, but it was still her ship!

Abaigeal spoke and Elpsis gave her a nod as she turned her mind back to the present. "Yeah. We need a ship and a fething plan to get it," she grunted, keeping her tone low, though in any case it was not that likely anyone would overhear them given how much noise the crowd generated. As they vanished inside the mass of people that was populating the street, Elpsis caught sight of a holographic projection that pinned on a wall. As a matter of fact, it was an image of her and Elpsis. One with very poor quality. A most wanted poster, you might say.

WANTED FOR MURDER, ILLEGAL USE OF THE FORCE, DESTRUCTION OF PRIVATE PROPERTY AND THEFT
THESE GIRLS ARE ARMED AND DANGEROUS. APPROACH THEM WITH EXTREME CAUTION
NOTIFY THE CONSTABULARY IF YOU SEE THEM
IF YOU ENGAGE THEM USE OVERWHELMNING FORCE
EIGHT THOUSAND CREDITS REWARD
THIS BOUNTY IS ENDORSED BY VOGGA THE HUTT AND THE SYNDICATE

Elpsis scoffed. "Oh, goodie, we're famous. That ain't even a good picture," she quickly pulled Abaigeal along into an alley, disapearing from the scene. The more distance they got, the better. Then they just needed to...figure out a proper plan to escape.

[member="Elpsis Kallikora"]

"Ok so your pictures are splattered all over Natt Hutta, everyone will .. by now .. recognise us and we need to get to our ships in the star port", she reinterated as if to make things clear to herself more than stating the bleeding obvious. The two girls stopped in the darken alley way, grateful for the grimy place this time as it afforded them time to hide and think. Not for long however they would have to move sooner or later.

"We need a change of clothes to start with, and something to hide our faces more, a hood might do but somehow change our hair and looks", she looked to Elpsis for some sign of ideas she might have that would be better. "You any good at mind tricks?". Abaigeal can to a point and that might help at the star port to gain access through the checks.

"Wait, maybe a disguise, if we get close to the star port and find a way to get our hands on the star port security uniforms, that might work?".

[member="Abaigeal E'ron"]

When Abaigeal put it like that, their situation sort of sucked. On the bright side at least they were famous. Everyone on Nal Hutta knew how they looked, everyone was talking about them, everyone knew how badass they were! Alright, it really sucked. And once again they were stuck in a grimy alley. Unsurprisingly no one ever came to collect the garbage and so the smell was awful. Presumably thugs also had a habit of tossing dead bodies in between said garbage. Elpsis was leaning against a wall, breathing in whilst Abaigeal spoke. "Mind tricks? Of the...'these..."

Before she could speak the pair suddenly got interrupted when a thuggish-looking fellow suddenly appeared in the alley. "Hey, that's them!" he called to his friend, who was quickly going for his blaster before Elpsis...waved her hand. You see, apparently handwavium is an actual power.

"'These aren't the girls you're looking for,'" Elpsis said, drawing upon the epically, awesome power of space magic handwavium...err, pulling at the tangled web of the Force to utilise her nascent talent of mentalism as she projected her will into the minds of the thugs. The images in their mind would blur as she worked, step by step, to make them appear as ordinary and banal as could be imagined, until in the minds of the thugs they had no resemblance to the badass girls who had been causing so much carnage on the planet.

As they say, the Force is a pathway to many abilities some consider to be unnatural...or unfair. Fact was, both her mother and father - no, not her father, since she had none, just a sperm donour who had raped her mother for his sick pleasure - were both very powerful mentalists. Elpsis had inherited these gifts, though obviously she still needed training and had so often proved strangely reluctant to use them. Perhaps this adventure on Nal Hutta was being a growing experience for her. If she survived this day, that is. "These aren't the girls we're looking for," thug number one said mechanically like a robot, giving his similarly dazed companion a nod.

"Lets get the hell out of here", she whispered as the thugs are brought into a trance like state under the influence of Elpsis. Abaigeal backed away down the grimy alley, her feet hitting every single rank and diease ridden puddle on the way. This place, this infested planet of nothing but the butt end of a bantha, she vowed she would never return too.

The main street loomed up ahead, the stream of beings passing the gap between the buildings paid no attention to the two dark figure in the alley for now. They still need a disguies simply walking back out there would be of little use and they would be spotted almost immediately. She looked up and could see a window high up on the wall, ajar. Below it what could only be described as a ledge, but passed for a balcony in these parts. "I'm going up", she said and with that Abaigeal strengthened her legs with the force and jumped to the balcony.

Placing her back to the wall and turning to look inside the room, Abaigeal realised it to be an apartment, dingy, but an apartment. Sensing no one about, she lifted the window and entered. Only the dull light from the street afforded her physical vision which as enough for her to find the bedroom. Without hesitation she opened the wardrobe and grabbed what clothes she could lay her hands on. Some shirts, trousers and jackets she scooped up in her arms and without hesitation ran back to the window and climbed out. Looking down to Elpsis, "Hey", she whisper/yelled as she dropped the bundle of male clothes down to her.

This would have to do for a while until they entered the starport.

[member="Abaigeal E'ron"]

Yay! New clothes! Alas it seemed the leather pants and jacket Elpsis had been wearing were too torn, burnt and soiled to be salvageable. It was truly a shame because she had spent plenty of credits on them. Besides, she looked good in leather. Anyhow, she gave Abaigeal a grateful nod and caught the bundle of male clothes. She quickly stripped off and slipped a pair of trousers and a shirt on, tossing her old clothes into a garbage can.

For a change, they were not interrupted by folks suddenly appearing in the alleyway and taking a peek. Blaster hidden inside her new jacket but ready to be drawn, she would wait until Abaigeal was likewise ready with putting her new attire on. Alas, a change of clothes could not erase all the scars and bruises on Elpsis' face so she still looked like she had been in one too many bar fights or a small civil war, but that could not be helped. Besides, everyone on Nal Hutta got into a fight sooner or later!

Anyhow, now to the starport. Hopefully to get their hands on some starport security uniforms and then to steal a ship. Security at the spaceport was tight and it seemed the place was under lockdown. Coppers, or rather what passed for starport security on a planet of criminals, social miscreants and slaves, were seemingly everywhere, along with security drones. A holographic reporter was giving a long, somewhat exaggerated account of our girls' criminal deeds, reminding everyone of how heinous they were. However, one got the impression that most of the people visiting the port were not particularly interested and have venting their frustrations about all the security checks delying their flights. This caused quite a clamour until a security officer got fed up and, swiftly grabbing his blaster, kneecaped a particularly loud and aggressive Twi'lek male. This had the effect of shutting people up for a while.

Needless to say it did not take long for three thugs...security officers to intercept them. "Stop right there, girls. The 'port is under lockdown. Only those authorised may pass. Show us your IDs now," one of them, a rather burly fellow, commanded. Despite the imperious tone, he was looking at both girls in a manner that suggested unvirtuous thoughts.

"Don't they look kind of like those crazy chicks? Let's just haul them to the Commander," another security thug opined. One imagined that any girl even vaguely fitting the age and description of our ladies was now at risk of being hauled off for 'questioning'. Nal Hutta police had never been concerned with legality.

Elpsis made a good show of being nervous. Well, as a matter of fact it was not just a show. "We're just normal girls, sir. There's a flight we really got to catch," she said in what would pass for a meek, submissive tone. As she entered the port, she had surreptitiously undone some of the top buttons of her shirt, showing off some nice cleavage. Nal Hutta police had never been unduly concerned with hiring virtuous fellows. She made a show out of searching for her ID. "I knew I had it a moment ago."

"Speed up, girl. Or we'll haul your pretty arse out," the security thug who seemed the boss of the patrol barked out. However, unfortunately it seemed the poor girl did not have ID on her. One of the men was already reaching for handcuffs when Elpsis spoke up.

"I'm so sorry, sirs, I must have forgotten it. But my girlfriend and I must really catch this flight. Can't we work something out?" at that the sergeant suddenly found that a few credits had appeared in his hand. Then Elpsis took a step closer, wrapping an arm around the guard's shoulder. Her free hand snaked down between his legs to enticingly fondle his groin through his pants. "We'd be very grateful if you let us through. Wouldn't we, darlin?" she spoke in a husky tone, eyeing Abaigeal with the last words and giving her a conspiratorial wink, then nodding towards the maintenance room.

[member="Elpsis Kallikora"]

A shudder ran through Abaigeal. And yet she had to stop a surprised smile breaking the ruse. Things girls have to do to get out of tricky situations, honestly, had it come to this? Internally Abaigeal saw the amusement of it all, but would make sure Elpsis disinfected her hands before they left.

"I am sure we can all come to some agreement", she softened her voice to match the occassion, with a air of flirtation heavy within her words. "My girlfriend and I work well together and I am sure we can ... please you both". Abaigeal mirrored Elpsis's actions as she moved to the other officer. Her hands snaking down his chest, playfully flicking each of his buttons on his shirt before finding the desired destination between his legs. "Or do you boys prefer to watch, my girlfriend and I would put on a good show for you, and than you can join us".

"Shall we? it is too crowded here", she moved her escort toward the maintenance room and opened the door, smiling longingly to him. Once inside, Agaigeal continued the play, unbuttoning her shirt to reveal her cleavage and pressing against her thug. As soon as Elpsis would enter with the boss and the doors close, the display would be entirely different.

[member="Abaigeal E'ron"]

"Yeah, let's go somewhere private," Elpsis said with playful eagerness, fondling the security officer's groin a few more times before she took off after Abaigeal. Needless to say the officer could not resist the urge to grope her arse, which she obligingly wiggled for his inspection. Clearly he liked what he saw.

Moral standards were terribly low in the Nal Hutta police. "Don't spread it around, sir, but I...really like to swallow and I have a thing for older men," Elpsis added because apparently she was in a cheesy mood. Or had seen too many movies kiddies should not watch. The door closed behind them and the coppers' boss wasted no time with tearing at Elpsis' shirt and groping her chest. Suffice to say he did so in a rather primal, animalistic manner since several of her buttons were simply ripped off.

For her part, Elpsis' hand had once again snaked between his legs. However, before anything unvirtuous could open that would upset the poor kiddies, the man was suddenly seized by an unbearabe, agonising pain as Elpsis squeezed as hard as she could, focusing her power. His face went white and he held his breath in agony. Lunging forward Elpsis rammed her tight fist into his face, breaking his nose. Seizing his throat she harnessed her power to burn the unprotected flesh. The man gasped for breath but none came as the flow of oxygen was cut off and, moreover, his blood was boiling, making him feel like he was being cooked. This had the convenient effect of leaving his uniform for her taking, as he crumpled to the ground and died.

[member="Elpsis Kallikora"]

While Elpsis was dealing with her situation, Abaigeal had her own problem. The thug pushed her up against the back wall of the room, his hands like an octopus and pulling at her clothes, "Steady on big boy, lets take it slow", she whispered near his ear. When suddenly Abaigeal's teeth latched onto his ear and bit down hard. The thug yelled but it was too late, Elpsis had already subdued her suitor.

Abaigeal's hand reached up and took hold of his neck, with the aid of the force she began to squeeze until his windpipe began to close coupling this with force choak, the guys face soon turned to fear and blue. He did nothing expect try and pry her hand away but began to go weak from lack of oxygen, to end it, Abaigeal, with her other hand took hold of his face and with a sickening sound came the breaking of his neck. She let go to let the lifeless body fall to the floor at her feet.

"That was a fun party", she looked to her friend. She began to remove her clothing, discarding the stolen clothes before undressing the dead officer and redressing in his clothes. There was not time for modesty, any other time Abaigeal would have turned to shield the scars that covered her body from the torture. Elpsis, if she looked, would see that there was not many places on Abaigeal's body without one. Not scars of battle or fights, but precision cuts from instruments.

Abaigeal finished dressing and stood by all accounts an officer of the starport.

[member="Abaigeal E'ron"]

Two thugs down and new clothes! Elpsis felt like laughing but managed to clamp down on the urge. Swiftly and without any sign of misplaced modesty or embarrassment, she stripped off her stolen clothes from earlier before liberating the now very dead officer with the roasted neck of his uniform. She was not directly peeking, but could not resist the urge to briefly look at Abaigeal. Seeing the vicious scars that were spread across Abaigeal's body, she could not help wincing in sympathy before looking away again.

Not scars from a battle, but precise cuts, signs of torture and torment. From someone who knew his craft and had put her through agony to hurt and break her. If one were to cast a look at Elpsis' body, one would find that it looked...very similar. Harsh, brutal lines criss-crossed over her body and etched into her skin. Elpsis shook the feeling off, trying to still her empathy, and quickly finished putting on the uniform. Including the in her eyes ridiculous cap. Seriously, it made her look like someone who was employed by McYoda's!

"There we go. Damn, this cap is stupid. Just need a ship now," she said cheerfully as she opened the door of the maintenance room.

[member="Elpsis Kallikora"]

It seemed these two girls had more in common than they realised. Abaigeal had seen the scars on Elpsis's body, just as horrific as her own and she knew immediately how they were caused. It was hard not to look, not out of any attraction as Abaigeal does not swing that way, but purly out of curiosity and lack of space in the room.

Abaigeal pulled up her long black hair as best she could fixing it into a knot and shoving it under the stupid cap. The cap to big for her and sat on her head around her ears. She could not help but giggle as the sight of Elpsis, standing there equally as silly as she. The pants baggy as well as the shirt, but for Abaigeal the opposite, the guy she killed more lean and the buttons of her shirt strained at the breasts.

"I .. I can't leave my ship behind", her mother's ship still in the star port. Although Abaigeal has issues, they are not with her mother, but herself. "I .. I can't, I need it". Apart from a hefty load of credits in her bank account, the ship was the only thing Abaigeal had of her mothers. She needed it, it is her only connection to her.

"Where is your ship?", she finally asked, they still might be able to get it. They needed to form a plan of the run, if they could get Abaigeal's ship, she could take her to the location of the other. It would be a tight squeeze but could be done. The old A-Wing only pilots one.

[member="Abaigeal E'ron"]

Fun fact, Elpsis had actually very briefly worked at McYodda's, something which embarrassed her a bit. But she had been short on credits and needed the money! Alas, there had been no way around wearing the silly cap. Verily, one almost felt sorry for the Nal Hutta spaceport security officers.

Elpsis seemed perplexed by Abaigeal's reaction and her insistence on needing her ship. Sure, the redhead was quite attached to hers, despite the fact that it was frankly an old banger that probably cost her more credits for repairs than was warranted, but it was hers. But the wave of emotion she received from Abaigeal hinted at something far deeper. Personal, painful stuff. Just the sort of thing Elpsis did not want to pry about. At least given their present circumstance.

So she held up her hand. "Ok. No problem. We'll get yours. Where is it and how big is it? I got an XS freighter in docking bay 37. Unless someone pinched it by now," she said. The freighter was reasonably fast and armoured, hence why she liked it.
