This Visit is Long Overdue

Kay-Larr

It had been many months since she had seen or heard from Lord Mythos. Or was it Emperor Mythos? Probably the latter. But with bounty hunters on her tail and the failed coup of the Republic, her own political career was in jeopardy. So she needed to go somewhere unexpected for a bit.

Kay had sent word ahead as she had to make sure that Mythos was home. She then got on the next available transport vessel to Atrisia. Hopefully it was going to be a nice visit. Every other time that she had seen the man, she had been disappointed. It was time to see if he had taken anything that she had to say to heart, or if he was still cruel to the people that he took over, to the planet that he now occupied.

Once the vessel arrived, she made her way to his palace, standing outside and waiting once she had informed the guard of who she was. It had to be verified of course. Kay glanced around in those spare moments as she stood by the door. She wasn't dressed in any fancy way, just as an upper class merchant, for she had no desire to join his harem. Her satchel lay over her shoulder like always, easily accessible for the guards to look through if they wished. Wasn't as though she had anything to hide from them.

Finally she was allowed entry. Kay bowed her head in thanks and followed the escort that waited for her inside.

They day had finally arrived, the day the second visit of Kay would come to Atrisia. Mythos had been expecting her and dutifully gave the order to escort her in with his personal elite guards. The emperor of Atrisia awaited in his throne, axe beside his hand and his Tuk'ata faithfully by his side at all times. He thought normally about what report he would give to Kay, about how he would convince her he was not the tyrant he was made out to be... but Mythos had begun to question if that was true...

When her image met his eyes he could not hide the smile, beautiful as always even in simple garments Kay once against stood before the Sith Lord lightyears behind enemy lines for the good of the people. His people. The people of Atrisia. Mythos stood from his throne gracefully and with purpose in his stride. His second step was his last, he glided with the force, cape fluttering behind him as he landed a few feet from miss Kay with a smile that lacked the youthful light of the one she had seen in Naboo... Mythos had grown... grown darker.

"Miss Kay, it has been quite some time since i have gazed upon your beauty, even more time since it has graced the halls of my city" His voice boomed, powerful and imposing as well a warm and inviting. His open upright palm outstretched invitingly as his yellow eyes locked into her own not making any attempt at hiding the intense whirlwind of darkness that surrounded him. "I have a surprise for you." he said as a wide grin decorated his face. She would notice, she would notice what he could not, she could see what he had missed... she would notice the light inside him was dying... she would also see that the Axe beside him was largely to blame.

Kay raised a brow slightly as [member="Lord Mythos"] seemed to float along the floor towards her. He had grown in power, that was easy to see. The heaviness of the Darkside was evident in the air. She didn't quite like it. Neither did she like the look in his eye. She had to tread a bit more carefully than normal.

"Lovely to see you too. I see that you've grown accustomed to your role here. It's changed you, though you're still as flirtatious as ever..."

Kay slowly placed her hand in his, while her other held onto the strap of her satchel. "You have a surprise for me? Lately surprises for me haven't been good ones..." Most have been bounty hunters springing traps, or rogue politicians attempting coups. Either way, there hasn't been a lot of good happening for her lately. But she didn't feel sorry for herself at all. Nor did she ask that of anyone else. Things always change.

"I am aware." He answered but did not elaborate. In truth Mythos knew more than he was inclined to let on at this moment about the state of the republic and the ongoing power struggle in the galaxy. Yet when he strode through the halls with Kay by his side and Groom trailing closely behind he let none of these thoughts enter his mind. In preparation for her visit Mythos had fashioned quarters especially for her, a room that while she was away no one else would enter. A small touch for a woman who meant something to the Sith Lord.

After a few turns and strides through the beautiful Atrisian palace halls they arrived at the intended destination. In front of the pair was an imposing door made out of Glapos wood and hand carved by Atrisian carpenters. The handle of the massive door and the hinges were in solid gold and forged by the weavers of steel in the Atrisian court as well as carved with imagery and design.

Mythos waved his hand gently over him and the door rumbled open slowly by the will of the force. The intricate designs of the locking mechanism slowly were undone by the force and a red glowing light bathed both bodies as the door was pushed wide open. Mythos glanced to her and smiled as he stepped forward, this had been in works since the day she had come to visit. What was in the center of the room was a statue made out of lava crystals from Mustafar made to resemble Kay. Covered in the long cloak what looked like fire, it was not clear, but she would know that was the intent of the artists, to create a resemblance of her. The crystal statue was on top of a giro-rotating platform that moved as the planet shifted in orbit, it's eyes always glancing to Csilla... but of course she would not know that.

The platform was fitted with military grade searchlights below the statue and it shifted a red prism light that bathed the entire room subtly and with the turn of a switch the intensity of the red light could be turned higher or lower. The entire room itself was a work of art, the shelves that held the bookcase was handcrafted from anakares wood, the books that it held were ancient Atrisian text that would cost a fortune to even rent. The bed was made of solid red slab from Korriban, what was left of what could be recovered of the Cortan Blade, the inside of the bed was a large quilt of bantha fur, stuffed with wookie hair and wrapped around a fine slink embroidery. The chandelier that was in the ceiling, battered and destroyed as it looked was actually the chandelier of Mindabaal, taken after the dominion of the planet.

The balcony was to the right and the double door that lead outside to the fountain and the balcony was also made of solid gold mixed with mirror crystal. While taking in the sight of his creation he looked to the person that inspired the room. His eyes lingering on her just slightly before turning in awe at all the beauty he had created. Pride swelled in his voice as he spoke to her, her approval the only thing that he sought. "From the crafted wood floors to the statue, i was there when it all was being made." he stated, thinking of the great workers he had at his command... the Atrisians were almost supermen when it came to the work of their hands."with the exception the chandelier, that one i took from a world after i helped rid it of it's royal family." He shrugged and smiled to his image in the mirrors reflection. "All in a days work for a Lord of the Sith."

He turned to her and his eyes brimmed with the yellow glow like always. "This is your room while in Atrisia, no one else will enter it even if you are away. I will never close my doors to you, if you wish to stay, do so, no one will come hunting for you here" He said as he took a seat beside the shelves, a small reading table was set out with three large chairs beside them. He awaited a response, patiently and with no hurry. As he did so he took one of his premier ZP tobacco death stick cigars and plopped it in his mouth, without asking permission, lightning surged from a single fingertip and blazed the tip of the cigar as the red smoke of wine and honey fell aloft in the room.

As Kay walked with [member="Lord Mythos"] she glanced back over her shoulder. Groom was following and he wasn't growling. That was odd as he always growled at her. But it wasn't as though she was complaining. It was better to have the beast in a good mood, much like his Master.

She stood at the door when they arrived at it and studied it all the while that she could before it was opened. The craftsmanship was something to behold and she had hoped that the woodcarvers created it out of the joy the work gave them, instead of being forced.

Then the door opened and for a second or two Kay squinted at the light from the statue. It wasn't until she stepped into the room that the detail of the statue became clear. The likeness was remarkable, as strange as it was to be bathed in a red glow. Her jaw dropped slightly as she walked around the statue, speechless for once. No one had ever made a likeness of her, especially in a large piece of art.

Kay shifted her eyes to Mythos, noting how he almost beamed with the pride of his creation. Still she remained silent as she took in the details of the room as he described them, stopping at the chandelier that hung in ruin above them. She'll have to ask him about that later. Now wasn't the time.

The balcony was next. Kay walked over to it and opened one of the doors, taking a peek outside at the view. It was all lovely and beautiful, yet something just didn't sit well with her. Why was he doing this?

She stepped back from the balcony, closing the door, before turning to Mythos and approached him, taking a seat on a nearby chair, not really next to him, but nearby. Kay placed her satchel on her lap and looked about the room again as she spoke, glancing his way every once in a while. "So the Silver Tongue has progressed to Silver Platters. I am flattered and humbled and..in awe at what you had created. It is quite the retreat..."

She paid no mind to his smoking. She was quite used to others doing so, especially in Hutt space. "I don't wish to sound ungrateful, but can I ask you why you made this room for me?" She turned him down once already and this certainly wasn't going to get her to change her mind. No doubt the other doors that they had passed had rooms behind them that were for other women that he courted in his harem. They had different views on courtship and loyalty, each being as stubborn to hold onto their views as the other. And with the Darkside running through Mythos so easily, Kay was glad that she had been taught how to shrink her own Force signature down to that of a small tree nut. She couldn't help but feel slightly in danger here. Did Mythos gain a terrible temper to go with his power? Hopefully not.

Mythos sat in silence, enjoyed the silence and contemplated the statue in the middle of the room, he took pride in it's creation and it's workers who in their work rejoiced as much as Mythos did. His thoughts lingered on their memory, on the faces of those who had helped and gave a hand in the creation out of pure desire to work for the royalty. Before Mythos the workers of the palace did their duties with no expectation of pay, many of the workers had refused pay considering it a great dishonor for the Lord to pay his workers for something they thought they owed him. Try as he might, he could not convince them to accept payment, to quote the head of the work force, an old man with arms as big as support beams:

"Our payment is the satisfaction of our Lord upon gazing at our work"

Mythos could never have asked for more loyal and dedicated workers, the smile that curved on his lips was one of that very satisfaction that the man had spoken of. When Kay spoke his gaze turned to her trailing the smoke behind his lips as he did so, a chuckle escaping his breath at her comments. "It would indeed seem so... all my work and dedication, all my scars and sacrifice have earned me the ability to provide for those i care for" His eyes turned to her as he spoke, emotion and passion subtly shifting from his words. His gaze returned to the red glow of the statue and the silence of the darkness that sorrounded him.

He was never at peace... darkness and power did not allow him such a luxury... his yellow eyes were a testament to that. A true sith lord never really rests, someone had told him that in the academy and he never truly understood it until now. "A fair question" Mythos said as his gaze slowly turned back to her, the slightest smile showing in his lips.

Before he answered he paused to look at her from his chair, she had been one of the few women in the galaxy apart from Martha who had no fear of speaking to him not as a Lord, as a Sith or as a King, but as a human, mortal man. This and the fact that she also had turned him down in his advances when he could very well turn her entire world into prisms and gold earned her a special place in his blood-drenched heart. "Maybe i am secretly madly in love with you and seek to impress you" He said shooting her a teasing wink and smile, then turned his gaze back to the darkness. "Or maybe i just thought you deserved something that is as precious and unique..." He paused while he gathered his strength, unleashing a powerful illusion over her to create the impression that the statue began to dance.

It was the most complex and difficult illusion he had perfected, the shadow of crystal and the shined upon the walls was nearly unpredictable, yet Mythos had narrowed it down to the point that he could make his illusions seem so real they even cast the proper shadows on the floor and shone their red crystal light in the right way.

He turned his gaze to her to view her expression at the light show and also to finish his sentence while gazing upon her. "As you are [member="Lady Kay"]..."

Provide for those that he cared for? Well okay, maybe she cared a bit for him too, even if she seemed standoff-ish, but only as a friend. And that alone was enough to get her into a heap of trouble. It was bad enough that she was earning the reputation in the Republic of a Sith sympathiser. But if they found out about this? Well they'd never believe her if she told them that [member="Lord Mythos"] was just a friend.

She smirked as he teased her, but then that quickly went away as the illusion of the statue dancing appeared. It had to be fake, it just had to be. But maybe there was more to the statue than met the eye. How odd it would be to sleep in a room with a statue of herself just....staring. Kay made a mental note to cover the statue's eyes before attempting to sleep. Or maybe the entire head.

"I'm not very precious or unique, Silver Tongue. I am stubborn and reckless. The only worth that I have to others is the value of the bounties on my head, which are far higher than I could pay off. And as for the Senate, well, they don't approve of my methods for freeing slaves, especially those in Hutt Space. They could vote me out at any time and I have a feeling that day may come soon."

Mythos could not help but to laugh out loud at her statement and shook his head. His eyes turned to gaze at the dancing statue, focusing on her movements and synchronized spins. "I wholeheartedly disagree, i have never met a woman like you in my life and i have traveled from Korriban to Mustafar and everywhere in between" Mythos said as his voice trailed off in the echo of the room, as if sensing her concern he pointed out a simple mechanic in the statue that if she liked she could use. "The red lever beside the statuette will make it go below and under for when you need to sleep."

He smiled and gave her a comforting nod while he gave his cigar one long drawn out puff and let the smoke flow freely from his lips, enmeshing into the illusion of the statue at the will of the dark side of the force. "Not a thousand armies could breach my city miss Kay, you are safe here and the Jar'Kai are ordered to follow at your behest while you are in Atrisia. As for the senate... they are fools not to trust you" His eyes rested upon her for a small pause, then turned away to the door meeting the darkness of the night sky. When he continued he spoke with eyes gazing to the night sky...

"Sleep soundly, gather flowers and berries in the garden, take a peek when i go into the royal hot-springs, join me if you like" He smiled as he spoke, shooting a wink at that last statement, easing the tension and seeking only to bring her comfort. "Whatever you wish to do, do so with the peace of mind that no one will coming hunting for you here. If they do their lives will end quickly and decisively.... but when you leave" A hollow feeling of anguish and dread washed over him at the very thought of her leaving... In Atrisia he knew nothing could touch her, but out there he knew she was constantly in danger and he could do nothing to protect her. He sighed to himself, knowing that her very nature would eventually drive her back into the corners of the galaxy to do what she did best. Freeing those under oppression.

"Outside One Sith space i can't protect you..."
He said with saddened eyed, resigned to the fact that when duty called they again must part ways...Mythos to the war-machine and Kay to the depths of the slave cartels. Yet he was determined to make this day a memory she could keep close to her heart even in the darkness of war and conflict.

Kay shifted a little uncomfortably in her chair as [member="Lord Mythos"] continued his outpouring of compliments. He was still trying, even if he didn't realize it. But it wasn't entirely unappreciated. As he mentioned the statue being able to be hidden, she smiled a little in relief. That certainly saved her the effort of using up a blanket for it.

Then he mentioned the Senate and how they were fools for not trusting her. Yet she knew the reasonings for it and he didn't. Kay wasn't quite sure if she wanted to tell him about it or not. There were consequences either way, and she had to weigh the pros and cons for each before she decided.

It was nice to know that she had free reign if the Palace and it's grounds, smirking as he suggested she join him in a bath. Not likely. She wouldn't be comfortable with anyone nearby, even guards.

Then he had to talk about her leaving, and how she wasn't safe outside of One Sith space. That wasn't entirely true. He just didn't understand. "That's just it, Silver Tongue. I'm not safe in One Sith space either. I may have arrived here okay today, but that doesn't mean that it'll be that way for always. We both work for opposing governments, ones at war with eachother. I'm more in danger from yours than mine. They could take me hostage or kill me, neither of which that I like. I am here safe with you now, but unless this war scales down, that won't always be."

She looked at him to see if he understood. His yellow eyes were a bit disturbing, as if he was obsessed with something. The Darkside hung around him like a cloak. That was to blame. Her late husband was a powerful Sith Lord, but he never had that look in his eyes when he came home. Only in the heat of battle did his fury take over. So what was driving Mythos?

Mythos nodded, conceding the point after she had elaborated. The way she put things into perspective was indeed true in that way, however with Mythos overseeing Atrisia at least in this system she was safe. "Fair enough" He said, the trail of smoke leaving his lips as he said so, it's trailing colors hypnotizing his gaze and he meditated in his mind. With a wave of his hand simply touching the tip of the death stick to it moving to his side the force moved around him violently. The reason why his eyes had been yellow since the day he killed his parents was because he had given himself fully and completely to the darkside, even if some light remained it was so far beneath his pride it had not shined as far as he could care to remember.... everything he did he did so out of some gain or purpose.

He was a Sith Lord, blood and battle was his only prerogative, his pride the cloak that gave him his true power and the shadow of the Emperor his seal of righteousness. Under that guise he presumed himself the good of the galaxy, the hero that would save the strong so they could cull the weak that naturally needed to be cleansed. It simply was the nature of darksiders.

"Be that as it may, at least here i can say you are safe. As for the war i doubt it will scale down until one side is destroyed and the other marches it's armies above the shattered hulls of the other" He said, no remorse or compassion in his words, yet passion and righteousness in them. "And by the looks of it that side seems to be yours..."

So it came to pass, the reason for the elaborate scheme came to full blossom with that sentence as he turned to her while he stood from his chair and smiled, gesturing her to accompany him. There was still much of the palace he was going to show her, especially one particular project that was already underway. He paced slowly in the room deliberately so he could say one last thing before he lead the way through the upper halls and down into the palace outskirts.

"If and when, the republic falls, and the troops of the One Sith claim victory over the shattered halls of the senate. Consider coming to Atrisia and i shall offer you asylum and protection from those who otherwise would see your head being hoisted over the capital of Chazwa" The voice of the sith lord held no hesitancy, his young body reflecting in nothing the aged wisdom of his words and the power of his authority over those he deemed beneath his station.

He smiled and extended his open palm in the old nabooian fashion to lead her to the intended destination, but not before saying one last piece. "Or have you not heard Kay? I have only one superior and that is the Dark Lord himself"

Kay clenched her jaw a bit as [member="Lord Mythos"] was using the Force abundantly. He almost seemed to abuse it. Yet as he spoke of the war in turn and of the Republic losing, she did a double-take. Her brows furrowed as she stared at the floor, hearing of her head on a pike should the Republic fall. It was a disturbing image to picture. Not so much of her being dead, but of the Republic falling.

"I cannot believe that the Republic will fall, Silver Tongue. I still have hope that we will come out of this. And I don't want to lose that hope either."

She looked up at him and took his hand, standing slowly as he revealed his position to her in the One Sith government. "No, I haven't heard...I suppose a congratulations is in order." A sense of foreboding began to take hold, but maybe it was just the Darkside that emanated from him. Kay did her best to push it aside. "So if things go badly, this might be the only safe place for me in the Galaxy?" She was so used to travelling. Remaining in one place for a long period of time sounded more like a sentence.

Mythos breathed in sharply as he took her words into consideration, he smiled and chuckled under his breath as one boot stepped right in front of the other heading down the flight of stairs as the sound of construction machinery and workers huddling echoed through the halls. "I admire your hope and determination, but you know as well as I do that the republic cannot replace their warships, we can" Mythos said entering the turbo lift with her and heading down a couple of stories.

As the lights of the turbo lift flashed rapidly and the gravity of the descent spiraled downwards they could see little by little the construction of something huge, monumental and needing the construction of thousands of soldiers daily.

"For every fighter the republic destroys we can make three more" Mythos stated, not a secret or anything like that but a fact that most that looked deep enough would understand as basic. "Our resources may not be boundless but they are enough, i assure you" Mythos said in a calm voice and a disarming smile. "But enough of war and politics, i have one thing you need to behold"

As they stepped out of the lift Kay and Mythos were both greeted by the feet and ankles of a colossal statue of pristine blue metal that had around it over four thousand workers and around three hundred construction vehicles. This was a undertaking of a lifetime for many, the statue would raise over one hundred feet in the air and would be crafted meticulously to the likeness of Lady Fantana much like the statue in Kay's room was crafted in hers. The size spoke volumes about how he felt about her, yet obviously Kay would not know who the statue was designed after just like she would not know why the statue in her room always pointed to Csilla.

Mythos thought of her every day since they had last seen each other so in a bid to impress her that surely would he had the greatest architects of Atrisia design a statue in her likeness that would cause all lesser civilization to gaze in awe at it's majesty. Pleased at the developing Mythos smiled and turned to her with a satisfied expression.

"This will be my greatest creation, a majesty that will be seen from across the galaxy. As of now it is just beginning but hopefully by the end of the year it will be finished"

Kay had to bite her tongue as [member="Lord Mythos"] spoke ill about the Republic's military. She knew that what he said wasn't true. It couldn't be. They had vast resources and supporters. All was not lost because of a failed coup.

She walked along side him and peeked at the construction when she could while they were in the lift. Was it a massive ship? It was hard to tell.

When they reached the bottom he changed the subject. Probably rightfully so as they surely would have debated on it. But how much could she tell him anyways? He was basically a Vice Chancellor to the Sith. This was all very dangerous politicking. Kay was just a Senator with no aspirations to go higher up the ladder. Her life was preoccupied with helping others that were trapped. If she were to gain a higher position, then those missions would become fewer and further in between. She didn't want others to suffer over something so selfish.

As they approached the massive statue under construction, Kay was glad that it wasn't of herself, for the feet didn't look like her own. "It's...an incredible feat. Is that what this palace will become? A monument to the women in your life?" She didn't say it in a bad way, it's just what she could surmise from what she had seen. Centuries from now, people would wonder who they were.

It was hard for Kay to try to figure out why Mythos was trying so hard to impress her. If he knew some of her secrets he would most likely change his tune. She was conflicted on whether to tell him before or after it was reported on the holonews. The noises of the construction was making it difficult to think. "I'd like to go outside now, if that's okay..."

Mythos took her quip with gallant grace and chuckled under his breath. "No, i am afraid this is the last project of it's kind." He had to raise his voice to be heard above the loud machinery of place. "Why of course, this way, i will show you to the gardens" The soldiers, officers and workers flanked him and saluted or bowed, some even knelt and placed both their hands on the floor as a symbol of absolute submission. The way he spoke of the republic military was not because of some failed coup or the fall of the supreme chancellor, but because of their defeat at Contrumm and every conflict they had lost afterwords.... that was enough the failed coup just hasted their demise in the eyes of Lord Mythos. They had lost Onderon, even the Mandalorians have turned against the republic. Mythos knew it was just a matter of time before the inevitable fall of the republic came, when it did, he would be ready and if Kay should need him he would be willing to lend his hand.

The walk was a bit long and filled with flanking soldiers and armed guards around them but eventually they made it out the massive construction site and the green pastures of the gardens opened up before their eyes. Here is where he and Kida would spend their afternoons together, those that he could spend with her at the very least, now there was once princess that needed no statues or trinkets to know how much he loved her. "The truth is my passion is my power, i act upon it... the monolithic statue i am creating is in the likeness of the only woman in the galaxy that was capable of stealing my heart, so i made an image of her as large as the deed" Mythos said with a melancholic smile, pacing around the gardens and his eyes darting to the flowers and lingering. "So much power... to destroy...." He spoke, mumbling to himself but loud enough for her to hear. Lightning surged from his fingertips scorching a single flower to ash, it trailed with the wind as his eyes followed it's trajectory back to her.

"Yet none to give life... or preserve it..."

What drove Mythos beyond all things, was the incessant, never ending search for power, he understood that most of his power came from passion, love, hatred and anger so Kay brought upon him yet another fountain of power. Desire.... for he would always desire what he could not have. It made him strong, it made him seek more power... for some reason Mythos thought that if he became strong enough in the force or raised skyscrapers high enough or amassed enough gems and credits perhaps Kay would fall for him as all others had fallen for him... yet his mind was somewhere else now...

<<Why can i destroy life... but can't preserve it?>> he boomed in the force, the darkside resonating his thoughts as if they themselves were words.

Kay just kept her eyes forward as they walked. Some were acting as though [member="Lord Mythos"] was a God to them and that wasn't the type of position that she wanted to be in. Once they reached the outdoors, she relaxed some and took in a large breath of fresh air. It was helpful. Being in the gardens seemed less artificial than a palace.

"I'm sure that the woman would be quite honoured with your monument to her." Stole his heart did she? But where was she now? Maybe she felt the same as Kay and wanted loyalty from him or any other that sought her heart. Yet that kind of loyalty just wasn't in his nature. He was selfish that way.

Kay removed her shoes and let her bare feet touch the grass. It was soothing. As he spoke of power and not being able to create or preserve life, she had to disagree. "Look at this garden, Silver Tongue. You help to keep it sustained. You have a daughter that you protect, preserving her life and ensuring her survival. You have the power,it's just that you don't see it."

Mythos smiled and shook his head. "If a baradium tipped missile headed straight for this garden all i could try to do would be to destroy that missile, if i could not then the force will not answer me to heal the ground and mend the scarred or heal the sick..." He spoke as he held the ashen flower in his hand and it dissipated upon the breeze of the wind. He had heard of some sith legends that spoke of powers that could even keep those he cared about from dying... yet he had never even come close to such power.

"That is the power is speak of, the power of the force... " He had no idea that Kay too was force sensitive, he spoke to her as if she knew nothing about what the force was or was capable of doing in some way. "It can do things some consider impossible, even myself at times... yet" He turned to face her as he was met with the barefoot Lady Kay that few ever really got to see it was a welcome change of pace. His eyes caught the charging figure of Groom who always took the chance of being in the garden to do some hunting of small prey... this time the hound darted into the forest a few yards back and vanished for a long while, when he returned he brought upon his powerful maws a body...

Mythos' eyes narrowed as he approached his hound who by the looks of it had suffered a blaster wound. After inspecting the cavity and realizing that the hound had killed a mercenary scout he called in on his coms and reported the incident. "This is Mythos, we have a breach code, target is neutralized yet i will be needing a full recon of sector six as soon as possible."

Mythos knelt down and looked his Tuk'ata straight in the eye, his companion for years the hound showed no pain even after being blaster in his side with what looked to be an E-11 blaster shot. It was then he thought of his inability to properly heal his companion, yet before his eyes the flesh of the hound started mending before his eyes, he gasped and gazed in shock at the hound as it patted away, the blaster wound no longer in his body.... if his hound could do that... Mythos looked at his hands and smiled then back at Kay. "You might be right, i suggest we get going back inside, there is a bit of trouble my troops have to deal with out here" Mythos said kicking the body the hound had dragged in by his feet.

"As of now your security is top priority, there are places in the palace that mimic the gardens, the Arboreum for one on the third story is particularly naturalistic" For the seriousness of the situation, Mythos did not show it, he was completely calm and offered her his open palm to move graciously through the palace.

So the power that he lacked was one that she had. Almost the same situation with her and her late husband. Should she tell him? Should she let him know? Everything seemed to be pointing towards it, yet using the Force wasn't the only way to heal others. He probably wasn't patient enough for conventional means, however.

Just as Kay was about to tell [member="Lord Mythos"] her secret, Groom came bounding in, carrying in a body. She didn't recognize the man nor his armour. Maybe that was another sign for her to not tell him. Oh it was so confusing.

She slipped on her shoes and then took his hand. "Do the others know that I am here? Couldn't you command them to leave me alone?" He was just below the Dark Lord. He had the ability to make such an order, didn't he? "You are not the only Sith that I can call friend. There are others that will protect me as well. So such an order might not be so ill received. Yet..I am a Senator for the Republic...."

Patience was not a virtue Mythos sported, unlikely for a Sith having been known to wait entire lifetimes to strike Mythos was more interested in instant gratification and bold frontal assaults that threw aside any concerns for patience and planning. "No one knows you are here Kay, absolutely no one, however the press in this planet is free press so if they caught a picture of you entering the planet or docking in the shipyards it will be on the holonet before long i assure you"

He paced into the place with her in his flank and began rising the stairs behind the Jar'Kai contingency and in front of the Sentinels, security was tight for V.I.P.'s especially ones like her. She was naturally worried of the repercussions of such a visit yet Mythos was not, if the Republic held him as a reason to hurt her, imprison her or otherwise defame her, He would bring his wrath upon them like a tidal wave of blood that they would never be able to stop. Or at least, he did not think they had the power to do so.

The winding stairs would lead to the arboreum, a secret place in the palace that [member="Kida Malgus"] inspired. It was home to a special kind of habitat, much like the Temple of Mythos in Obredaan this place was home to exotic plants and a running interior river. What she would not notice is the small and inconsequential tree of the side of the river that seemed to glow with a opaque shimmering light that could hardly be noticed. It was a unique tree in all of the Capital, because it could not be found anywhere else in the planet. The Nom-nom bonsai tree.

"My command can only be overruled by a voice of the Emperor....and an order like that would still have to pass the through me, i am much like a senator but without answering to anyone but the elective counsel of Voices and Hands." Mythos said with a smile in his face as he turned to the small river that ran along the massive room and knelt before it letting his hand break the river stream in half, the bonsai tree beside him turning a eerie red color upon in it's miniature petals. "As for your friends in the Sith.... we have lost many... they may be dead by now"

Kay thought that she had made precautions, even covered up her face as she was used to having to travel in secret due to dodging bounty hunters. But there was always still a chance that she could be recognized.

She followed [member="Lord Mythos"] inside, trying not to be uncomfortable with the vast number of guards all around them. It was hard to just simply ignore them. Sure they were there as security, but she had to remind herself not to let her guard down, just in case.

As they approached the little river, Kay sat down beside it. She had walked all the way in without wearing her shoes, so she dipped her feet into the water to wash them, wiggling her toes as she let the flow of the water remove the dirt.

A plan was already forming in her mind due to their positions in their respective governments. But she needed to work on the details more before she could even talk about it.

When Mythos spoke of some of the Sith being killed, she looked over to him. "The casualties of war....What of Xavka Duquo? Darth Erebos? Darth Ferus? Are they alight?" There were other Sith that had worked with her, but she couldn't recall their names. More than likely they were fake names anyways.

Mythos smiled as he watched her, listening to her and sitting beside her in the man made river. The hand that was in the river moved through the water and to her feet passing through the soles and heels removing any spec of mud and dirt. It was then his eyes saw the bonsai tree change from the pure red the leaves sported beside him and shift into a pink color, Nomkeer told him the tree had a special quality that could detect those sensitive in the force by changing it's colors when around a person. He smiled at the revelation, yet he did not let Kay know he had found her secret, that he knew... she was like him in the force.

He was surprised when she mentioned three sith that were known to him, Ferus was his first Juyo teacher the man that created his thirst for vengeance and taught him the secrets of the fighting style. Duquo was one that also aided him in the depths of Korriban while fighting the shadow of Naga Sadow... Then she mentioned Erebos and Mythos could not help but to crack a smile. "Ferus has disappeared, no one knows where he is and he is presumed dead, Duquo is as silent as night and as unassailable as the assassin he is, but i know for a fact he is alive and well. That Iridonian is a tough as they come, it would take something quite amazing to end him.... i saw him stand before a supernova once... he lived..."

He ran a single finger under her heel and up her soleas he shot her a wink, he continued undaunted as he spoke of the final name she mentioned. "Erebos,... i did not think you knew him... Out of all the beings in the galaxy he is the only Sith i call friend. He is fine and well, taking on a new apprentice as i hear it, he may be blind but he can see better than most of us..." His mind came to the thought of his friend, the times they had spent beside the campfire of Korriban eating the most dangerous of creatures and the time when Erebos opened his eyes of the force... Mythos considered him as a brother in the Sith, a man he would fight alongside and die honorably beside. Erebos brought him thoughts of brotherhood and comradeship, friendship and companionship... the rarest thing in the galaxy for a sith....
