Kay scrunched up her nose as [member="Lord Mythos"] began washing her feet, doing her best not to jerk her feet away. She was perfectly capable of washing her own feet. At least she didn't go for a swim. Now that would be scary.

She was glad to hear that Ferus was gone. Though at first he seemed like a respectful ally, he soon changed his tune and tried to kill her and those that kept her under their charge while she was being investigated.

To hear of Xavka's amazing feats, she smiled a little, relaxing her feet in the water as Mythos had stopped touching them. "I've hired Xavka for a few slave rescues, though he tended to give the money away to those that we freed. He's a good ally to have."

She jumped as he tickled her feet, quickly bringing them out of the water, narrowing her eyes with a smirk. She wasn't being aggressive, just treating him like an annoying brother that's picking on her. Kay dried her feet off with her skirt and then started to put her shoes back on. "Erebos has taught me a few things about the Galaxy and a different way of looking at things. We spoke of war and companies and how silly our governments are being right now. It's good to hear that he is still alive and well."

She got to her feet and clasped her hands in front of her as she decided to walk around the garden a bit. "Silver Tongue, is the inside of my room monitored in any way? I'd probably sleep better if I knew that I wasn't being spied on."

"Erebos opened my eyes... he taught me secrets of the force, he was one of my first teachers and he was an acolyte like myself... he is my brother in the order, he is my only friend in the Sith"

It was comforting to him knowing that she would at least relax in her time here, she deserved that much in the least and an annoying brother that would tickle her and force out a smile was something Mythos could, and would gladly do. Mythos sighed at her question, an understandable worry yet Mythos would be honest with her like he had always been, he could not dream of lying to her, he saw no point in it. "For your protection" He stated, his yellow eyes reflecting a calm demeanor for the moment.

"Every inch of the palace is monitored... i was a Sith Assassin Kay, i know how no matter how well defended a place is there is always a way for a silent dagger to sneak in... " He exhaled a long sigh and conceded. "But if you would rather me pull those back and shut down the monitoring i will do so..."

He gave her a smirk of pride and confidence while producing a single flower plucked from the garden and placed it in her ear, a romantic gesture, considering it was a romanira flower from Naboo, one of the few in the system. "Trust me when i say i would not let anything happen to you" His voice changed, a tone he had not used since before he became an acolyte...

Yup, that sounded like Erebos alright. He saw things in a different light than most others she knew. Maybe it was because he was blind?

She glanced around as he spoke of every part of the palace being monitored. Kay couldn't help it. It was a reflex one often does to see if one could see the hidden cameras. "Only pull back the monitoring when I am changing or drawing a bath, please. I'd like to preserve my modesty and I don't need anything leaked to the holonet." She didn't want any prying eyes either.

And then [member="Lord Mythos"] produced the flower. Having been born on Naboo, she knew very well what placing it behind her ear had meant. Kay tightened her jaw a bit. He was trying again, even though he knew how she felt about his lack of faithfulness. "Silver Tongue...Mythos...I don't want to make you angry, but the room, the statue, all of that is not going to make me change my mind. You are a valued friend and not for your riches and luxury offered. But you know how I feel about your...courting practices. They just don't match mine. We are both stubborn in our ways and I don't think that we could have a lasting happiness together in that way. I'd rather have you as a friend forever than a short time lover. Please understand that."

Not to mention that they both had secrets, and both their governments wouldn't be happy with either of them.

Mythos did not part his gaze or shut down his smile, he expected a retort like that yet the Sith Lord understood exactly what she meant. First of all he chuckled at the mention of her pictures being leaked to the holonet and could not help but see humor in it. "I respect you too much to allow that to happen. No one will be gazing anywhere near you i promise.."

A lover unique among the galaxy, but he was first and foremost a gentlemen of the highest caliber. He was raised the right way to say the least.

He noticed how she shifted when he told her about the monitoring, immediately he sought to comfort her."You are safe Kay, allow yourself to be at ease in my walls, it is the only thing i ask" He spoke calmly but he listened silently as she spoke.

Truly she must have thought all he did for her was to conquer her with gifts and luxuries, it was not so... if her heart could be bought by gifts and gems He would never have looked upon her that way. His smile was disarming, uncharacteristic of Sith Lords to say the least.

"I am not angry" He said with a chuckle sitting down in the grassy surface of the arboreum cross-legged. "You speak your mind, you speak the truth, you speak what you believe in your heart is the right way. I did not build the room or the statue and brought all of this to you so you would be my lover, you have me mistaken... " He shot her a self accomplished smile that held a surprising amount of emotion and feelings behind it that surprised even him.

" I did all of this to let you know how beautiful you are to me, regardless of whether or not you think the same of me."

Again, he spoke truth. Not for one moment did he entertain the fantasy that Kay would feel something deep for him, He considered the thought beautiful but based in fantasy. He bit his lower lip and pushed his hair our of his face, his eyes still gazed upon hers but with calm and serenity unbecoming of a sith. "I am a sith at the end of the day, you will find it hard to make me douse the passions that burn inside me"

His expression changed rapidly to a confused and amused expression when he realized that one of her statements was not like the others.
"What do you mean courting practices? I am not married nor do i have a harem as you can see, i am curious as to what you mean"

Kay let out a breath in relief at having some moments of privacy. There was that at least. Otherwise the rest of the protection and monitoring was appreciated.

She was glad as well that he didn't get angry with her turning down his advances. But his words did make her feel a tad guilty for not sharing his sentiments as deeply. Kay just couldn't allow herself to do that. There was too much danger in it.

And then the harem and courting question. Oh boy. She unclasped her hands and scratched at an imaginary itch on the back of her neck, a common habit when she was a bit nervous. "Well...you know...you told me many months ago that you aren't very faithful. You can't see yourself tied down to just one lady."

She broke his gaze and now scratched an imaginary itch on her arm. "You are a beautiful person, both inside and out. There is good in you. It may be a little hidden right now, but it's there. I would not be drawn to you otherwise."

Another glance around for the hidden cameras. "Can we go somewhere more private or have the monitoring shut down for a moment? I want to talk to you about something...." Misdirection maybe from talking about her feelings, but it was important too.

Mythos had a bewildered expression of confusion that was a bit humorous, he tilted his head like a confused youngling at her statement on faithfulness. "I do not recall ever making such a statement, however i can see how that might be the image a man like myself would impart" He said with a sarcastic expression. It was not untrue, but it was not entirely true either, he had nothing to be faithful to, he and Serena were both lovers but he had lied down the fact that he would not be tied down by any sort of relationship bond from the very start, however if, hypothetically Lady Fantana would be his wife... Faithfulness would not be a a task, it would be pleasure.

"So you are drawn to me!" he teased, a smile on his face accompanied by a playful wink. As she asked for privacy, he nodded in approval... slowly disarming that charismatic smile to a stalwart stone expression. Waving his hand before his face as the force writhed with fury he spoke a single sentence. "Leave us.."

Suddenly the guards stationed in places that he untrained eye could not readily detect left the arboreum and stationed themselves outside and out of sight.

Mythos thought that Kay asked for privacy because she felt uncomfortable with the amount of guards, this made Mythos frown and shake his head to himself, it brought him sadness in thinking that no matter how he behaved or what he did she would never feel truly at ease with him, needless to say this was disheartening beyond measure and it showed in his expression as he resigned himself finally to his fate....to be feared... He accepted it.

He only did what he did, because of his need to protect those he cared about, out of the true wanting in his heart that the darkness of the Sith had not corrupted yet... He let out a sigh and a long breath while thinking to himself, the air that left his lungs on that sigh left with another little piece of light swallowed by the darkness that encroached. Another shred of light lost to the darkness... how long before there was none left?

"We are alone now..." His worry and his feelings could be heard in his tone of voice. Defeated, he decided never to approach the subject again.

Kay smirked a little as [member="Lord Mythos"] 'claimed' that he told her no such thing about his lack of faithfulness. But he did. And they had argued politely about it.

His teasing caught her by surprise. Did she really say that? No sooner had she thought about that then his expression changed. She stepped towards him as multiple guards, more so than she knew were even there had suddenly walked out. Kay had thought that there were cameras to be switched off, not actual people in the room.

When she looked at the hard and sad expression on his face, she lowered her head. Slowly she dropped her focus and let her Force signature grow to it's rightful size. She kept her eyes on the ground, not wanting to see the anger at keeping such a thing a secret. It was bad enough to see that look from Mantic when he found out. He was so mad that he had her arrested. Who knew what reaction a trusted friend would give.

"Please keep this between us, at least until the news is broken to the Senate. I am Force sensitive. I have kept it secret from most, learning things when I could, but beyond that, not really using it. I will lose my seat as soon as the Senate learns about it and more than likely lose my freedom for a time. So very few know about it and...I want to keep it that way for as long as possible. I only hid because I was afraid that the Sith Lord that killed my husband would discover where I am and kill me too. And in hiding it...I was able to do so much good..I found a purpose and was able to gain allies from enemies, united in a common goal."

Kay felt so tiny at this moment, tears welling in her eyes as she thought of her husbands murder and of everything that she'll lose because she lied about herself to the government in order to gain a seat in power. Though she never abused that power, never had aspirations for more of it. She wasn't dark or evil, her chosen vocation was to save lives, not to take them. Yet even while trying to do the right thing, she got into trouble. But she had accepted it as they were consequences of her actions. Thankfully she had arranged it all in such a way that only she would take the fall.

"I am sorry for keeping such a secret from you...." But she had to.

As her signature in the force grew Mythos put on his best surprised expression, he was a good actor but he could not really act too astonished. "Interesting..." he said as the signature reached it's full extent and he bathed in her light. He dared not speak, he listened intently as her words came as a shock even if the revelation did not. His expression changed instantly to shock and awe, then happiness when he realized that the reason she wanted privacy was to tell him about this.

Her words struck a cord of understanding, he could not understand why anyone would want to reprehend her for being force sensitive, he simply did not understand and if he had heard that Mantic had her arrested on those grounds.... Well... he would have yet another reason to kill him, as if he needed any others. He stood as she spoke, noting her rising levels of sadness and negative emotions. Yet he dared not speak, yet he did place his left hand under her chin and gently forced her to look into his eyes while she spoke and held her forearm tightly as a gesture of comfort. It was then He saw Her eyes well up with tears, he did not allow them to take root before he embraced her tightly and wrapped his arms around her in a warm hug, letting the darkness that enveloped him mix with the light she beamed out.

He held it for long before he gently pulled to wipe her tears away. "Kay... the secret is safe with me, no one will know from me, you have my word." He whispered under his breath, his lips pursed as he thought of anything he could say that would ease her distress.

"How does someone... with such light... come across so much suffering..." It was not a question, it was the beginning of something Mythos needed to do now that she entrusted him with the knowledge of her gift. "You said they would take your freedom when they discovered your gift, is that the republic you defend with your life?... i can't say i understand, why does the republic senate care if you are force sensitive Kay?"

The answer came to his mind and try as he might he could not keep his rage and hatred from showing. "It's the Jedi isn't it? they sought to bring you under heel because they can't have anyone that doesn't follow their antiquated ideals and shares our gift, live freely." Mythos said, anger seeping through his teeth as he could not contain the fury she had unleashed inside him... they, who profess themselves the bringers of light and justice bringing a woman like Kay who did nothing but free the oppressed and enslaved to prison or worse for the mere fact that she is force sensitive.

They, who in their self righteous pursuit for what they call the "balance" of the force forsake all honor and duty to justice for the sake of efficiency and brutality. This was all the proof Mythos needed to reinforce what he already believed to be true.

The Jedi are Evil... and he was the Hero meant to bring freedom and justice, not them.

Kay was quite surprised with the hug, but it wasn't as though it wasn't welcomed. She hugged him back and shut her eyes. Such contact was a rare thing these days for her, but that was from her choosing. This hug however was greatly appreciated.

The Darkside flowing from him made her shudder a little, but that was only because she was more open to the Force around her now that she wasn't surpressing it.

How does someone so Light come across such suffering? The answer to that was simple for her. Darksiders and non Force users like Thraxis wanted to strip the Light and joy from her and others like her. It was all for control. But she was too stubborn to let that happen or at least to let her be controlled completely.

As he asked of the Republic's view on Force users and then blamed the Jedi, she furrowed her brows and shook her head. "No, it's not the fault of the Jedi. They are just enforcing the rules. Please let me explain before you jump to conclusions."

Kay let out a sigh as she figured out how best to explain it so that he would understand. "Look to the past, Silver Tongue. Palpatine hid his Force ability from everyone and look at the destruction and oppression his government caused the Galaxy. The Senate was duped by him, everyone was. So they created the law to keep such things from happening again. Some Force users have the ability to control another's mind and influence laws and votes, so having one in such a position is dangerous. I can understand their point of view on that."

She chewed the inside of her cheek. "I like to think of myself as a good person. Ferus taught me to shrink my signature down so that I wouldn't be easily detected. I never influenced any of votes or made things go my way. Ferus wanted to go to the Senate and fake a hostage crisis in order to gain the freedom of Sith prisoners. I asked him for time to figure out a different way. By that time I was already being investigated because of my activities in Hutt space, but I asked Mantic and an agent for help with the Ferus situation. Mantic was really angry with me when he found out...He chose to uphold the law and place me under custody. I didn't resist outside of trying to explain myself. He feels as though Darksiders may have influenced me and could have power over me, so he wants me to go to the Temple some time soon so that they could find out. As of right now, the Republic is busy cleaning up after the failed coup, so I am doing what I can as a Senator while I still have the position. But maybe.....there's a small chance that I could be pardoned and keep from using the Force while I am performing my Senate duties. That all depends on who the next Supreme Chancellor is."

Kay wasn't quite sure if she explained herself well enough, so she simply added, "Do you understand?"

[member="Lord Mythos"]

"Mantic..."

Mythos held his gaze, held his anger but he still listened and tried his best to understand. She spoke of Palpatine, and he immediately knew where this was headed yet he spoke no words and raised no protest to her reasoning. He still held his position even after hearing her, if the senate was prohibiting force sensitives from entering the senate out of fear of another Palpatine then they were no better than Palpatine himself when he rounded up all those who opposed him and were force sensitive and had them eliminated or absorbed into the Galactic Empire.

"I understand Kay"

He said, a stern tone in his voice but he held his gaze, he held the anger. "But it is not right. A small chance to be pardoned? You have done nothing that requires pardoning Kay,I do not think you deserve imprisonment and scrutiny simply because you have a gift that a sith eight hundred years ago misused..."

He took along breath and exhaled slowly closing his eyes and darting inside him an illusion that would possibly make her a bit more comfortable. When he opened his eyes again they shone with the color of his eyes before he was a sith, dark brown and very humane. When he spoke his words came as soft as the breeze in the Atrisian plains and a calm as the slow river that flowed beside them. "They enforce the rules they themselves place at their own connivance to further no agenda but their own, then they arrest an innocent woman that has done nothing but place her life on the line for the very republic they defend on the grounds of fear... fear of a sith who has been dead for eight hundred years"

He shook his head and closed his eyes, breathing in a strong breath before opening his eyes letting their true color show once again, this time a flash of red mixed with the amber orbs as fury and fire came with his next words. "Do no ask me to condone injustice Kay" He said while sliding a single finger under her cheek wiping away a tear from her face.

"I faced Mantic on Atten II a long time ago... I spared his life out of honor. My honor upon the battlefield that day could have cost you your freedom or worse, your life... I will not make that mistake again, next time i see the Jedi Master..."

He let it hang at that.

Oh no....As soon as [member="Lord Mythos"] spoke Mantic's name, she regretted even saying it. Now she quite possibly has put his life in danger, and that was not what she wanted at all.

Kay watched as his eyes went from yellow to brown to yellow and red. This wasn't good. Sure he understood but only partly. It wasn't as though she had the same gift of a silver tongue that he possessed. She stepped back from him and started to pace a bit as she went over things in her mind, rubbing her hands together in a fidgeting manner.

"Please....I beg you...leave Mantic alone, at least until after him and I have spoken. The best way to handle this in which no lives are lost, is to show them that a Force user in the Senate isn't a threat. If you go after them, then you will only enforce their belief that Force users are dangerous and you will invoke their fear even further. I know that both of us wouldn't want that."

She headed over to one of the nearby trees and placed her hand on it's trunk, looking up at it, the winding branches, the leaves, all of it working in unison to make the tree strong. Nature was always a good source for inspiration.

"I am working on my own plan. Trust between the government and Force users needs to be grown, and it cannot be gained through violence and murder. I can't blame Mantic for his decision as he was only following the rules that he had sworn to uphold. Would you hold a soldier responsible for the orders by their Commanders?" Kay sighed a little. "Look at what the failed coup did. It weeded out the corrupt from our ranks. The good
people are coming forth and looking to lead us in a better direction. Please give us time, give me time."

She was worried now, worried that letting out her secret to him could have been a mistake, just as it was when she informed Mantic and the Minister of Intelligence.

The eyes of the Sith Lord narrowed at her request, his hands crossed before his chest and his arm muscles flexed with the tension of anger and pride. "Mantc is a Jedi, as any other Jedi I am expected to engage and destroy when i see them." He said, saying the truth of his station and the reality of his work. Even if she had never spoken his name the result would have been the same, Mythos would not now or ever go out of his way to hunt down the Jedi Master as such a thing was beneath his station, however if at anytime Mantic were to cross his path Mythos would mercilessly and viciously engage with the intent to kill and destroy.

He shook his head as he gazed upon her, she took the trunk of a tree and examined it as she took in nature reminding Mythos of his own daughter Kida who was one with nature and could not be parted from it. "I will not go hunting for the Jedi Kay, nor will I interfere with any plans you may have in building a bridge between force users and the Senate, however i do not understand how you can place your faith in those who arrested you, did not trust you, elected a tyrant like Genivive and even now in your own words, give you a slight chance to be pardoned." He paused as his breath rhythmically beat along side his heart. "A slight.... chance." He repeated, emphasizing the words.

A smirk made it's way into his face as he intended to answer a particular question she spoke up. "And yes, the saying 'I was just following orders', do not condone ones actions, everyone is held accountable for their own actions... My soldiers included. Mantic may have acted upon the rules set forth by His primitive order of tyrannical priests, but that does not exclude Him from the guilt and blame of what He did."
Mythos gestured to the end of the arboreum, where a large painting of warriors in battle dated back to a thousand years ABY was held and framed. "If i ordered my soldiers to slaughter the native species of a world, do you think the excuse of following orders would exclude them judgement from killing millions ?" Mythos said, his eyes expecting a response for his obvious question, his fingers tapping impatiently beside his forearms.

"I don't think so. Neither does any good man in the galaxy, orders may be orders, but when the time comes to act only you are responsible for your actions, no one else. Mantic was wrong in this, i think you know that Kay. He should have known better if he is the justice bringing hero you make him out to be"

Kay just clenched her jaw and stared at his arms as he folded them, remaining silent as he spoke of destroying the Jedi. What if she was to become one? Would he destroy her as well? Her late husband never would have. He gave his life to protect her, even though there were times in which she wondered if he made the right choice. Everyone gets their sad days.

She listened to the other points he made. They made sense, yet she still clung to the hope that she could prove him wrong and that everything would work in her favour eventually.

To his points on Mantic and taking responsibility, she spoke under her breath, more so for herself than for [member="Lord Mythos"]. "Putting someone under custody is a far cry from genocide or murder...." She sat down at the base of the tree, using the trunk for support as she draw her knees up to her chest and wrapped her arms around them. It felt as though the weight of the Galaxy was on her shoulders, even though it wasn't. Only her small part in it was weighing her down.

"He doesn't know all of the facts, he acted on impulse like a lot of us do. No government is perfect. If we would have known about Gen, we wouldn't of elected her. That's clearly evident in the fact that most of the Republic rebelled against her. I, myself am partly to blame for her gaining power and keeping it. So I am trying to make up for that mistake. Quitting, running away, that's not going to help me or save lives. And we both know that eventually, your government will see me as a threat and want to destroy me too."

Kay was starting to get frustrated and a bit confused over the whole thing. She needed to approach Mantic and her government once a new leader was elected and go from there. That was about the best that she could come up with at the moment.

Mythos nodded and conceded the point. "Agreed, I only used it as an example to portray the fact that following orders is no excuse, nor does it exempt one from the responsibilities and consequences of ones actions." His tone was soft and relaxed, but stern and confident portraying his pride and trust in his own judgement that he knew, in this time, was correct and sound.

Mythos noticed her tension when the subject was elaborated and he did not want this conversation to rule over her visit, this was not to become a visit of anger, inconvenience and arguments. Mythos wanted Kay to feel safe, secure and comfortable in his palace, he did not want to pressure her with political talks or arguments on ideologies, so he changed the subject on the spot after she spoke. "I can sense your power in the force, it is strong with you yet unfocused and blurred, if you allow me to be so bold... I'd like to be your teacher. Allow me to show you a fraction of what i can do..." He said, a wicked smile playing upon his lips as his arms parted from his chest and his palms opened before his frame.

With that gesture, the force answered his call with a violent and brutal whirlwind of power and darkness that began to twist and churn in the invisible air ripping grass at first then snapping small trees as it got bigger by the second. He closed his eyes as the intoxicating, all-encompassing power that he had honed to a fine extent manifested itself in the form of a small, condensed force storm of darkness that began to envelop the room and make the electronics snap on and off with the magnetic pull. His power only grew stronger after that, the Valthris crystal in his person made it so that this display of power was easier to manifest and taxed him much less than normal and the Axe always in his back made the power he displayed stronger than if he did not have it, soon the dark energies of the force began to lift him, his boots slowly raised to the tip before fully parting from the ground as Mythos started to slowly levitate several inches and rising from the floor. The storm became violent then, trees and sand along with water and stone began to be ripped and thrown into the whirlwind around him, his eyes opening into a shining red light that gazed at Kay beneath him before he spoke.

"None but the Dark Lord exceed me, I am the sentinel of his Majesty, those who learn from writhe in wisdom and power!" His voice shattered transparisteel that was already cracked and sent the glass shards whirling around him yet all of the things he did never touched Kay but instead whirled around her further displaying his control and mastery over the dark side of the force.

Suddenly.... the storm slowly subsided.

Mythos began to drop in front of her a smile upon his lips speaking of his pride and satisfaction at the display even if it had destroyed half of the arboreum. It did not matter, it all could be repaired and re-planted by the expert gardeners that worked for the royalty for generations. Slowly he descended from the air, his boots plopping before her as the force slowly subsided like a calming storm until it finally stopped. Mythos breathed in and out rhythmically as he gathered his stamina back and stood back on a relaxed stance, head tilted to the side as if expecting an answer to from Kay, if she faced off against cartel members and was constantly in hot zones which was her trade, she would need a more combat oriented set of skills, which Mythos could provide.

"I wasn't exempting him...That's why I want to approach him on it so that we can discuss it and find a good solution."

She looked up at him, raising a brow as [member="Lord Mythos"] offered to be her teacher. And then it happened. The wind whipped around as the Darkside was drawn to him like matter into a black hole. Kay braced herself against the tree, glad that she was low to the ground so that there was little threat of her being lifted. She squinted her eyes so that she could see, her hair flying into her face. The flower placed minutes earlier into her hair was now long gone.

Moments later however, the powerful display was over and everything subsided. Kay relaxed herself, slowly easing the tension in her muscles once she realized that it was safe to do so.

"Thank you for the offer, Silver Tongue, but I don't long for power. I know how to heal, and hide myself, as well as move small objects. If I become too strong he might come looking for me. And if I were to learn the Darkside, I would be thrown out of the Republic. I'm in trouble enough already, that would just increase it." She didn't even think that she was the right fit for a Darksider anyways. Most would find her weak due to her compassion in others.

He did not answer immediately, instead Mythos allowed himself to readjust to his surroundings and take in the destruction. He listened to the words of Kay as he did so but he fully expected her to turn him down on his offer to teach her how, yet she did not have to. With her being present during the storm of the force, it would be enough, she would if she ever needed have the instinct necessary to at least attempt to use the force in that way. "Kay you spend most of your time in hotzones and places that even my soldiers go with extra firepower, consider having something that can put an attack down with the force, or at the very least consider using one of these."

He gestured to his lightsaber, the weapon beside his hip with the insignia of house chaf emblazoned upon his handle. He shrugged and took the weapon from it's belt and igniting it's black blade before her in full display. "This has saved my life as many times as the force, do you know how to use it? I could show you basic movements."

He gazed upon the black core of the lightsaber, a beautiful yet simply crafted weapon that had been with him since the day he crafted it personally. "It would make me feel a lot better at night if you allow me to teach you how to use it, what do you say?"

Well it was true. She did spend a lot of time in dangerous places, namely Hutt Space, and executed enough rescue missions to warrant two high priced bounties on her head. That has brought many bounty hunters her way. But as always, she had many allies and friends to help her, so it wasn't as though she fought alone.

Kay looked to the black lightsaber. "I have one similar that I got from....well a misadventure. It's in my office on Commenor. My own lightsaber is....well the Cartel has it. I'm hoping to get it back as it's the only thing that I own that my husband gave me."

She got to her feet and nodded a little to [member="Lord Mythos"] as he studied his blade. "Alright...you can teach me some defensive techniques with the lightsaber, but know that I don't tend to go into dangerous situations alone. I'm not that silly. I only came here on my own because you were here, which means that I don't have to worry about being harmed."

Mythos smiled and nodded in pleased amusement. "Very well, here you will be using this while we practice." He handed her a blue lightsaber he had taken from a slave in Tatooine back in his acolytehood called [member="Tulkas"], it was his first lightsaber and the weapon that he used for the beginning of his his career in the sith. "Be careful with it, let the force guide you through how to use it, the force is your tool to using this weapon, bend it to your will!"

He took a step back and ignited the black lightsaber upon his right hand elegantly to the side and positioning himself in the basic stance of Soresu, a defensive stance that aided in the deflection of blaster bolts. "Copy the positioning of my feet and arms, we begin with a small rotation of defensive patterns made to block blaster bolts, i teach how i was taught... defend yourself!."

Mythos came forward with the black bladed saber with a wide arc around his neck and clashing into the side of her body slowly and deliberatly so she could block well."Remember to use the leverage of your body to angle the blade correctly, then use the force to guide you into the correct reaction." Instantly when the two blades clashes he would swipe out in a quick one two strike that was very quick, meant to test her reflectex and how she used the force to perceive an oncoming attack. Mythos wasted no time, he took training very seriously, if Kay was to train with him, to train with a Sith Lord, the she would not be exempt from the standards he set for all who trained under him. "Again!"

Kay blinked as he spoke of bending the Force to her will. The Force wasn't a slave, it was as [member="Lord Mythos"] first pointed out, a tool and a guide. She didn't have the thirst to control like he did. She held the hilt of the lightsaber in her hands for a moment as she moved awa from the tree, igniting the blue blade and testing the balance and centre of gravity. That was what her husband taught her to do. Every weapon is different, reacts different, that's why practice swings were so important. Being off balance was never good. It was how duels were lost.

She copied his stance and listened to his words. Defending herself always came easier than attacking. Having so little duelling experience, she could hardly count on herself to predict what moves could be used to disable or disarm her opponent. But blocking another's attack came almost naturally.

As Mythos' blade arched slowly around to her side, Kay brought up hers to block. Yet as he struck quickly, she blocked the first and jumped back from the second. The smell of burned fabric from the sleeve of her dress was a stark reminder to how slow she was as she had not yet opened herself up to the Force's guidance. She ignored it though and just put herself into the same stance that he showed her just moment before. Hopefully muscle memory kicks in.

Mythos shook his head and narrowed his eyes judgmentally at her performance, the strike that had caught her shoulder was testament that she hesitated when it came to combat. "Your body if only half the conduit when handling a lightsaber.." He began stepping around her and pacing carefully while twirling the black edge of the blade to his side. "The force is the other half... it exists in all things... life and air, in the particles that the eyes cannot see... the force does... what the body cannot"

He stepped in slicing to the side looking for the block then jumped to a quick side swipe to the other side of her hip with enough strength behind the strike to knock her down or split her in half. His strikes came strong, yet slow enough for a novice like her to be able to block... for now.

"Use your opponents movements against him, predict the oncoming flow of battle using the force, this is called battle precognition and it is an innate ability of force users, it allows us to see and predict attacks and movements before they happen and as such allow us lightsaber wielders to deflect and redirect.." Mythos gestured to the edge of his blade, angling it as he would deflecting a blaster bolt. "Blaster fire.."

He stopped and turned to her,... a smile upon his lips as he reached out with the force and pulled the blaster pistol from her hip and sent it flying to his extended open palmed hand. "Prepare yourself..."

He aimed the pistol straight down to her distancing himself a few yards, looking directly into her eyes as he did so. "See the blaster bolt before it comes..." His eyes narrowed as his finger slowly reached for the trigger... the seconds became eternal...suddenly he fired down the sight aimed directly between her eyes...

"Success or death..." he whispered under his breath, the words his master had spoken to him when he began his training, words he lived by... she would have to think fast and trust the force... or otherwise bend it to her will as he did to survive, as such was his training since day one.
