Those Things In Your Head

[member="Spark Finn"]

Munin smiled and then complied. He slipped from the bed in one smooth motions, bare feet touching the cold wooden floor. His toes curled involuntarily, as if seeing some sort of warmth. He quickly bent down and half scooped Spark off the floor, depositing her on the bed in a sitting position before slowly unwinding the blankets from around her.

"It's like unwrapping a present." He told her with a smirk.

He looked up at her with a smile, half kneeling on the ground.

"See." He said as he pulled the blankets off her. "Not so hard."

"Now I know what to get you for Life Day," she said quietly. Then grinned. A look of relief crossed her face as her arm that was twisted around her back came free. Palm flexed in and out, trying to bring neck feeling. She had blanket creases all over her exposed skin and her cheeks were flushed from a mixture of warmth and embarrassment.

#freedom

Taking one of the many blankets, she extended her arms and wrapped it around Munin's back and shoulders. "There. Now I don't have to worry about you becoming an ice cube before I get back."

Glasses were pushed up and she sat on the edge of the bed and watched him. "What do you want for breakfast?" Fuzzy socks tapped against the floor with a soft pad, pad, pad.

[member="Spark Finn"]

"I don't think we have all that many options." He told her in all honesty. "Don't think we bought any actual groceries."

Like eggs or meat.

If they wanted something more than chips, snacks, and energy drinks they would probably have to go out and find a cafe or something along those lines. He was sure that this town had loads of them, this place was a massive hub for tourists that came to the planet. That was mostly due to the scenic area, plus the odd medieval feeling that the two carried. It seemed odd to him that whomever had experimented on him would have chosen this place, but perhaps they had the thought of 'hiding in plain sight'.

He didn't know. "So...maybe we should just have the caf then go out."

[member="Munin"]

"I already said I was going to the Starcreds down the street for caf," she poked him on the shoulder and stood, slipping by him and scurrying to her suitcase. "I can pick you up breakfast there, too. Since I owe you."

That little tongue stuck out at him again before she turned and took out her snow pants, shirt, and jacket. She quickly shuffled into the refresher and closed the door to change.

#stillalittleselfconscious

Voice was slightly muffled as she began stripping off her night pjs from the other side. "But they have a lot of breakfast stuff now. Breakfast sandwiches, bagels, nuna eggs. Any if that sound good?"

He would hear the water run as she began brushing her teeth.

[member="Spark Finn"]

Oh yeah.

He had forgotten about that little detail when she'd fallen off the bed and ended up wrapping herself like a burrito. A slight frown pulled on his lips, head shaking for a moment as he stood up off the ground and deposited himself down on the bed. "Yeah that'll be good."

Munin said as he glanced out the window.

"Be careful though." Snow was still falling. "I think the walk-ways will be slippery."

At least that's what it looked like. "I'll look at the fireplace while you're gone."

Maybe he could fix it without getting parts.

[member="Munin"]

"You know me," she called, "I'm always careful." What she didn't say was that they both knew she was also a klutz. #uncoordinated It was a wonder she was a force master at all. The door swooshed open and she stepped out, dressed in winter-gear.

Hands tugged a light blue beanie over tousled strands of blonde-hair. Then she stuffed her digits into some gloves.

"i'll be fine," she encouraged once more, though she was already dreading the outside part. In that cold snow. #bleck But it was already cold in here so it didn't matter. "See you soon."

#withcaf!!!! #andnoms

She was tempted to smack his prone form with a pillow but held herself back. Barely. Jacket zipped up and she disappeared from the bedroom. Mun would hear a click of the front door as she disappeared into the cold.

Munin pulled on a shirt, and some socks, then set about doing what he had told her he would.

He looked around the cabin first of all, checking for heating vents or the like to see if there was something wrong there. When he found none, he quickly deduced that the only actual source of warmth in the cabin came from the fireplace itself, nowhere else. He frowned slightly as he made this deduction, his head already beginning to ache. Perhaps he should have taken a closer look at the brochure.

Spark would not be pleased....though then again she hadn't seemed to mind last night too much.

"Maybe this won't be so bad." Munin said to himself as he wandered into the living room and towards the fireplace. He checked beneath the sink in the kitchen, fishing out a small toolkit and opening it up to check it at least had the necessities. For a moment he frowned, then shifted and moved towards the fireplace.

There he quickly set himself to work.

She slipped and slid a little up the path. Gloved hand balanced two cups of caf in a to-go tray a bit precariously. A bag of some nuna egg breakfast sandwiches and n'yorks and honey were clutched with the other. Snow kept falling against her glasses.

She sputtered.

#thestruggleisreal

Next time she was staying in bed. #forreal wiping her glasses with her shoulder, she looked up. A figure seemed to melt into the shadows just before their cabin. Blue-eyes squinted but she didn't see anything else.

Thin-lips frowned.

Must've been nothing. Maybe a trick of the snow. Trudging up the path, she kicked on the cabin door. It was her form of a knock since both her hands were full.

Munin pulled himself off the floor, giving a slight grunt as he did so.

The Fireplace lay before him, most of it taken apart. There were small metal screws everywhere and more than a few large metallic pieces lay scattered around the living room. A piece of pipe had been removed, though Munin seemingly hadn't thought it important since he'd tossed it aside without so much as a second glance. He trotted over towards the Cabin's door, making sure not to step on any of the pieces of his newly dismantled fireplace.

"Sec." He called out.

The Infochant stumbled over one of the ottomans, but then quickly righted himself. His hand fell on the handle and he quickly opened the door.

"There you are." He said as some of the cold air rushed into what little warmth remained in the cabin. "Come on it's cold."

Munin said, urging her inside.

[member="Munin"]

She stumbled in, bony elbow banging lightly into his side. She handed off the caf and put the bag of food on the counter. It wasn't much warmer in the cabin but she wasn't going to say anything.

Blue eyes beneath speckled lenses widened slightly at the...mess. "You've been busy," she finally managed, peeling off her gloves and immediately gripping her caf like it was some force-life giving crystal. "Any lick?" Booted feet stepped gingerly between parts and pieces.

[member="Spark Finn"]

"Well." Munin began as he scooped up his own cup. "I'm trying to make sure my girlfriend doesn't freeze to death."

He smiled at her.

Munin was pretty confident that he could fix the fireplace by the time they went to bed tonight...or tomorrow. It really depended on how everything with the Keep went. A part of him didn't think they'd actually stay long enough to enjoy the fireplace, but if they ended up not finding anything...well maybe they could take an actual vacation.

That would be nice. "Ooooor."

He slid a bit closer to her.

"I could leave it broken." Munin smiled at her. "And we can just keep staying under blankets."

[member="Munin"]

She buried her face in the cup of caf before Munin could see any sort of blush. "We were pretty close last night," she finally squeaked and cleared her throat. Thin-lips spread into a quick, soft smile as she slid onto one of the two chairs around a small, little eat-in type table. Hands rummaged around in the bag.

Pulling out one of the breakfast sandwiches, she offered one to Mun, taking another and some n'yorks and honey for herself.

#hungry #nomnom

"If you left it broken," she began, taking a nibble of breakfast. "I would never leave the bed. You'd have to carry me back to the ship, wrapped in all those blankets."

[member="Spark Finn"]

"Might not be a bad idea." He told her as he took the sandwich.

Munin wasn't serious of course.

As tempting as the idea was, he wasn't too eager to spend his time in a place that was freezing cold all the time. He liked the warmth just as much as Spark did, maybe more sometimes. If he could avoid being in the cold then he would most definitely do it. "I liked last night."

He told her quietly.

It was a step, a small step, but a step nonetheless.

What that would mean for them Munin had no idea, but he figured it was good.

[member="Munin"]

"I did too," she said quietly and took another nibble of the sandwich. "Minus the really, really cold." #duh She almost freezed her bony-butt off. Even with Munin's body warmth.

She shivered, involuntarily and quickly finished off her caf.

"We can't stay here all day. Can we go somewhere warmer and wait for night to come for the Keep?"

Or, they'd definitely have to snuggle until then. #lolol #omgee #blushingforever

Soon, her breakfast sandwich was gone along with the n'yorks and honey. They never stood a chance. All while Mun was still working on his. The skinny girl could eat.

[member="Spark Finn"]

"Sure." He glanced towards the fireplace.

He could fix that whenever they retired for the day. They wouldn't be heading towards the keep until well past midnight when everyone had gone to sleep, and he doubted that Spark would want to run around the village night to see things around here, mostly because the cold would only get worse. He considered for a moment, tapping his chind.

"I think there's a museum here." He suggested. "That would be warm."

At least he was pretty sure. "There's also a few hikes you can take."

He thought for a moment.

"Oh, there's also hot springs in the mountains." They'd need to take a speeder, but that wasn't a huge issue.

[member="Munin"]

Hikes meant outdoors. #hardpass

Museums sounded....interesting? Maybe she could find a small cafe to bury herself in. Setting her empty caf cup down, she looked up to Mun. "I wouldn't survive on a hike unless you brought a heater. I didn't pack any swim clothes."

Bony-shoulders shrugged. And she liked water and swimming. But when it was cold and snowy in the surrounding area? She wasn't so sure.

"Museum? Or....what did you want to do?"

She pulled out her datapad from her pocket and began searching for whatever this museum was.

[member="Spark Finn"]

"I like the sound of hot springs." He told her. "Though Maybe that's just because I want to see you in a swimsuit again."

He grinned at her for a second.

"Honestly I'm fine with whatever you want to do, sweetheart." It was true he didn't particularly what activity they did. He would enjoy whatever it was no matter what they decided on. He was happy just to have her here.

His hand gently slid over her back for a second as he leaned down and kissed the top of her head. "As long as you're there."

That was all he needed.

[member="Munin"]

This trip was for him. And she knew he was getting nervous as night slowly approached and what they were about to discover or not discover about his past. #lifestories #history

Fingers lightly drummed on the tabletop.

"Okay. Let's try the hot springs. But....I don't have anything to wear. Might just put my feet in." Then again, she had that nightshirt tank top and her boy-shorts. Cheeks flushed slightly, just thinking about wearing something like that in public. Maybe they'd luck out and no one would be there.

"I'll grab some towels." She stood and squeezed Munun's hand on the way to the bedroom.

[member="Spark Finn"]

The answer surprised him.

He had tried never to push Spark into anything, never to press or make a request that would make her uncomfortable. As far as he knew he had succeeded, so when she volunteered to go the hot springs he couldn't help but be a little bit surprised. He wanted to go obviously, he wanted to see Spark enjoy herself, but...well it just came sort of out of the blue. "O-Okay."

Munin stuttered out as she squeezed his hand and wandered away.

For a moment the infochant was dumbfounded, but slowly he looked around the room before realizing that they would need a speeder. He dug around his pocket, not wanting any obstacles to stand in his way, quickly he pulled free his small datapad and went onto the holo-net.

Before Spark had even come back out of the bedroom Munin booked a speeder for rent, something small...and obviously closed to Spark wouldn't freeze to death.

Fingers adjusted the black-rimmed glasses on her face. She slung a small bag over her shoulder with towels and plenty of snacks and water. "I think I'm ready."

#justwannabewarm

"Why are you looking at me like that?" Sandy-brows rose. She wasn't good on observing emotions. But Munin wouldn't stop staring and giving her these double looks. She shifted the bag, becoming a bit self-conscious.

She could defeat sith but she couldn't read her boyfriend.
