Those Things In Your Head

[member="Spark Finn"]

"Really asking the impossible here." Munin said as he closed his eyes and covered them with his hands.

Munin didn't want to push Spark, wouldn't push her, but he could at the very least make jokes.

The truth was, while he was more than happy to wait, he did also want her. It was a silly thing perhaps, but at time he did have the simple urge to simply...well see her. It wasn't something he would bring up, not for a while yet anyway, but it was there.

Still, he would wait.

"May want to hurry." He told her, eyes still covered in that child-like manner. "I think they're drawing closer."

"Pffft," she sputtered, shimmying on some pants and then finally swooping on a shirt. Still, she was nervous and her adrenaline was pumping furiously. She didn't want anyone to see...

Head poked out and she laughed at Munin's child-like appearance. "I'm done," she tiptoed out, finding a rock to perch on so she could put on her boots. She glanced at the cave entrance. No one yet. Then back at Mun.

Blue eyes widened slightly. She couldn't help their dart downward before going back up. "Mun. They'll see you!" He still had to change, though, she wasn't sure if he shared her same reservations about...privacy.

"Honey." Munin said with a smile as he slowly moved himself towards the ledge where she had pulled herself out. "I grew up in an orphanage."

He shook his head as he pulled himself out. "I didn't know what Privacy was until I was sixteen."

Munin pulled himself out of the water and slowly wandered over towards Spark.

"But." He smiled at her. "I understand if you just want to keep me all to yourself."

Blue-eyes beneath glasses lenses continued to widen. Head ducked slightly and familiar warmth spread along the pale skin of her cheeks. #lookathisswagger #NOdon'tlook

Hands pressed against her cheeks as she looked up at him. "Just hurry up and change already," she breathed and nudged his pack to him with one booted-toe. Then, very purposefully and slowly, she trained her gaze on the cave entrance. Heart beat a bit faster in her chest and she gave a nervous gulp.

Awkward self didn't know what to do even though she knew Munin was being a tease.

Munin smiled a small smile. "You can look if you wan't."

He was teasing of course...wasn't he?

Before Spark had a chance to yell at him however Munin followed Spark's instructions and changed, dropping his now soaked underwear and quickly sifting through his backpack, finding that...he'd left his underwear back at the cabin. He frowned for a moment and let out a quiet curse, snatching up his pants and quickly slipping them on.

He didn't bother with socks.

A moment later Munin's rather lanky form stood half dressed, pants on, shirt half thrown over his head, jacket bundled over his pack.

He was ready to go at least.

Did he just say...

Cheeks burned. She pressed her palms further into her skin, for once, wishing she was out in that cold snow. Eyes darted to the side but her head didn't turn. Good thing too because a rodian couple waltzed up. They were in their skivvies and it looked like they were quickly going nude.

Sandy-brows rose and she couldn't help gawking.

"Uh," she squeaked and finally risked a glance at Munin. He was clothed. "Yeah, we should go." She stood and gave an awkward wave to the couple as she quickly passed, almost tripping over a rock. Jacket slipped on and she stopped suddenly in front of Munin as the cold from outside hit her.

Munin half caught Spark as they stepped outside, the cold striking him a bit harder since he wasn't wearing his jacket and had more recently left the water. Almost instantly the Information broker let out a gasp of air, but quickly pressed his fingers on Spark's back. "Quick!"

He called to her.

"Get to the speeder!" He pressed his fingers into her side in an attempt to tickle her. "Run run run!"

The vehicle would heat up fairly quickly, and they would be able to at least make themselves comfortable in there. "Go go go!"

Munin urged her forward, pulling the keys of the speeder from his pack and hitting the remote ignition. The vehicle buzzed to life almost instantly, the heaters inside already spooling up since Spark had, of course, kept them on max setting.

"Eep," she giggled and dodged away from him as he tickled her side. Booted feet slipped and slid in the snow as she made a beeline for the speeder. Just as quickly, she shut the door as she snuggled inside of the speeder's cabin.

She laughed, fingers held up to the vents. Seat was nice and toasty. #toastytoast "I can't believe you didn't put on your jacket," she teased. Stars knew how cold it was out there. Another set of giggles went through her gangly-form as she eyes the wet snow quickly melting on Munin's head.

"I'm spending the night in here, after the Keep," she announced, proudly.

[member="Spark Finn"]

He smiled at her. "Sure about that?"

The Speeder was rather warm.

"You'd think..." He slowly switched on the heated seats to a higher setting, making sure that Spark was nice and comfy. "You'd want to spend it with your boyfriend, under a blanket with the fireplace going in front of you."

Munin was pretty sure that he could fix the fireplace.

All he had to do was put that one pipe in place, bypass the secondary valve and everything would work just fine. The Cabin would get heated up in a matter of moments. Of course it wouldn't ever be as warm as the inside of the speeder...but he'd only rented it for a day.

"I dunno," she mused, burrowing down into the seat more. Eyes closed as a mischievous smile tugged on her lips. A happy sigh escaped her mouth, matching that same sigh when she dipped into the hot springs.

"You're not helping your case with these seats," one eye peaked open, to look at the switched-up setting. "But if you can fix the fireplace...," eye closed lazily.

"We might be able to come to some sort of agreement."

"Oh?" He asked quietly.

The speeder ride back to the village wouldn't take them all that long, after all they hadn't gone very far. On their way back though Munin noticed that even more cars had somehow managed to populate the hot springs that had earlier already been occupied. He marveled for a second as he banked them to the left, heading towards the village as he wiggled in his seat slightly to get more of the warmth.

"What did you have in mind? He glanced towards her. "Massage?"

Munin grinned her way. "More kissing?"

He teased.

"No-o," she sputtered, eyes flying open. "I mean maybe. I mean," she paused finally catching the smile on Mun's face. #suchatease

"Very funny," they were approaching the lot they'd just come from earlier that morning. "Does it have to end so soon?" She bemoaned, though a grin pulled at her thin-lips. If possible, she snuggled further into the seat. Face grew a bit more serious as Munin parked.

"That was fun," she admitted quietly. "I'm glad we went." And it wasn't just about being glad for a warm speeder ride. Though, the heated seats had definitely been an added bonus.

It would be cold tonight. She'd have to mentally prepare herself. Not only for the environment but what they might find about Munin and his past. She felt...protective of him.

[member="Spark Finn"]

"I'm glad you enjoyed it." He reached over and squeezed her hand gently.

He was happy too.

"As for ending." Munin smiled. "I'll fix that fireplace."

The Information Broker was pretty sure that he could do that, it was simple enough really and Spark wanted to be warm. He could at the very least give her that much given all the trouble that she had gone through to come here with him. "I can do that much for you."

The speeder came to a stop on the parking lot again.

[member="Munin"]

She offered a soft smile back, squeezing his hand lightly. For a moment, she found herself lost in his gaze, like a stupefied teen with a crush. Head shook.

"Okay. You'll be warmer too," she logically pointed out. Letting her thumb stroke across his hand, she finally released him and stepped free from the toasty speeder.

#coldcoldcold

"Race you back to the cabin!" She announced suddenly and took off, knowing full well Mun still had to return the keys and she would be getting a head start. Booted-feet slid and slipped on the ice and snow as she mounted the steps from earlier but she didn't care.

She ran off with his mouth agape, his head shaking. "I ca-"

Ugh.

His fingers pulled the key free from the ignition then he quickly dashed over towards the box where one would deposit them. Spark was already halfway up the hill by the time he closed the box, dashing away and back towards the cabin before he steadied himself.

"Wait up!" He called after her. "This is unfair!"

Some people in the streets glanced towards them, but no one tried to stop them.

Munin broke out into a sprint, rushing after Spark as fast as he possibly could, taking careful measure not to fall on the ice.

[member="Munin"]

She giggled and risked a glance back as she heard his voice. Chit. How has he caught up so much? She bounded off the steps and he was already halfway-up.

#cheatingminicomputerthings

"It's totally...fair!" She breathed. And then sucked in more oxygen. She risked another glance as she made the turn to go up their little street. The move almost caused her to trip over her own two feet and face plant. She saved herself at the last minute by bending over double and pushing off the ground with her hands.

Up. Up. Up!

She could just spot the cabin ahead just as a stitch grew in her side.

[member="Spark Finn"]

Munin rushed after her as fast as he possibly could.

His footsteps trampled over everything as he moved, quickly rushing over snowy streets. Spark remained just in his vision, though barely. His face scrunched a bit as a gust of cold air rushed over him, lips thinning as he turned and suddenly realized...

He'd forgotten his jacket.

"Damn it!" Munin called out, his hand coming to his face.

The keys had already been deposited and renting the speeder again would cost him money. A frown pulled at his lips and he shifted slightly, his head turning back towards the Car Lot and then towards Spark. He let out a sigh, shivered slightly, and then headed towards the Cabin.

[member="Munin"]

One-two-three....more....steps. Palm slapped against the cabin door in triumph. Then she promptly collapsed to her bony-butt in the front steps, grinning and gulping down air like a fool. Elbows propped on her thighs as she hunched over.

#needtodomorecardio

Hand went to her side, rubbing a sharp pain there. Head finally looked up, speckled-gaze falling on the defeated Munin. Arms rose and she pumped the air in a silly and awkward little seated dance.

"I wiiiiiiiiiiiiiiin. The winner. Whoohoo," she paused, noting his slightly grumpy and jacket less appearance. "Hey. Where's your jacket?"

[member="Spark Finn"]

"I..." He glanced at her. "uhhh."

HIs hand came up to scratch the back of his head.

"It's in the speeder." His words were barely a mumble.

The idea that he had left behind pretty much the only jacket that he'd brought to this planet was a bit sad really. He would have to wear long-sleeve shirts and maybe some underarmor, or perhaps they'd be able to find something for sale.

"Don't worry about it." He told her.

[member="Munin"]

"Mun," she frowned. "You'll freeze tonight." Her own legs still felt like jelly and she was pretty sure she couldn't stand yet. She shifted on the steps.

"You've gotta go back and get it."

#duh

Glasses were adjusted as she peered up at him. She stifled a yawn. She'd definitely need a nap before tonight. Standing slowly, she turned and pushed open their cabin door.
