Invasion Through the Gates of Hell (Republic Invasion of Empress Teta - Republic vs. One Sith)

Stepping slowly, from a lowered ramp, stood a massive Andolith. Its extremely long fully prehensile tail swished and flicked behind its long form, slowly it began its descent downward. Overhead, 3 ships could be seen, racing to avoid blood shed all the while closing in on the ground.

Do it!! The booming telepathic voice of one whom cannot speak, rocketed along the city and its minds within. The moment his words were spoken, all three opened their hatches and pushed out their own humongous cages. When they had finally landed wholy, it would be seen that within the largest were dual Rancor. But not just the run of the mill deadly Apex Predator, these were special.

They were undead alchemy and sith magic creations. Retaining a sliver of their previous anamilistic capabilities, and aggression, they were beyond dangerous - evident already by huge booms from within the cages as they attempted escape. The last, opened on its own, revealing a dozen zombies which made way towards anything that moved. But that wasnt it.

Kasamann personally brought the big guy.

From within his ship, came deafening footsteps that visibly shook the craft. Stepping free, came a half decayed Bull Rancor. Tilting its head back, it roared to the skies above, while Kasamann matched it in his own telepathic cry of war.

Latching onto the connections to his creations, he made them begin. Each of the brutes lifted anything that could be thrown, and stopped at any body that moved. The humanoids, all were less concentrated upon as the others, so were far less intelligent - running at anything proved that as well.

The city would fall, with its dead inside bearing more fruit towards Kasamann's army.

Giving Saki a glare to get back away from how close she was to her. As she just glared upon her for a few more minutes. "I think you are so wrong I do what I do not because some whispers of lies in my ears. I have came to believe that there is more to some sith then the few that make the others look like all the rest. Your the fool, there I am control that all you need to know." , knowing good well what thin line she walks. Fully wanting nothing more then to drop down off this play high above she could feel the emotions of those dieing. Turning her head back to face her with a sad look into her eyes. Giving up more then most had to give up in this battle. It was the planet crying every time it was hit. Soft earth being turn up, planet life disappearing.

It was her looking with her neck, as she looked down at the battle that rage downwards. Just why was she here knowing that she was going to have to face her demons of what she did. "You know nothing, Saki.", knowing in her mind she was still in control. Over her head she wasn't for now at less. Smiling at her as she took a step forward and kissed her cheek. "You know nothing that is at stake, there is more so that I'm true healer of the light side. Inside of me I have my shadow warrior that wants uncage. I have learn to balance the warrior. Just like I can find this balance of light and dark to control both side at once.", now herself letting out more of the shadow with in herself. the Swirling was different but still of a great present would be felt. Toying with the swirling as she let it dance and play all around her. "You speak of hate but is there really nothing more then a way to keep our self balance, you do it through battle to release. I choice to do it in other ways. "

Knowing more that is at stake then anything that was her son. Being able to understand that she gets to see her son. Also knowing that Connar could be taken way from her at anytime again. Even the little time she had been apart from her. He had grown so much, missed out of so much. "I tell you what when you start having children of your own then you can tell me to grow up, I'm part of the solution. I will never be a whore to the dark side power, that once I drink fully of it will I want more and more. Only a fool knows that is the best way to end your life" , pushing back with the force now as to put some space. Getting herself ready, "Tell me are you ready to kill someone that choice not to use a weapon unless force to."

Marcello was silent, pensive. As his mind processed the words spoken by the large Sith and reconciled them what he knew to be the truth of the galaxy, of the Jedi, the Jedi Master found his own opinions on the matter increasingly...muddled. Several things happened as Marcello allowed his mind to slip into his past. He thought on all the various conversations he had with his master. Conversations he'd had with his own apprentices. Was Marcello really on the wrong side of that which he believed himself to stand for in the galaxy? It was the nature of life for any group to think their way best, of course. The Jedi Order was a brotherhood in name only - a collection of countless individuals all out for personal gain, for titles. Sure...they masked their selfish desires in some misplaced sense of righteousness...of knowing what the galaxy needed.

On the flip side, there were some that fought for what was right, that acted selflessly. The One Sith...well if what [member="Darth Shara"] said was true, why did the first mention of their name come on the wings of a massive planetary invasion? Raising a single hand to stem the tide of [member="Tracyn Ordo"]'s emotion-fueled comments, Marcello deactivated his lightsaber. "Personal experience is just that, personal. It is foolish to attribute it to a large swath of beings no matter what you infer their motivations to be. Innocent people will always be caught up in the conflicts of opposing sides clashing to build what they believe to be the best version of life." That much was inevitable.

Keeping his gaze focused on Shara, Marcello asked a question. "Why routinely attack the Jedi and the Republic to accomplish your objectives. Why not reach out with the hand of friendship to build a better galaxy cooperatively?" Not that anyone on the Council or in Republic High Command had thought to make such an attempt. Marcello did not argue the point of their attack on this world because he...wholeheartedly agreed with the Sith. This was indeed stupid, and he had only come to try and prevent Jedi deaths.

Peace through bloodshed was a fallacy. It would only continue the cycle of violence and destruction. Perhaps that was the natural state of the galaxy. It was painful to Marcello...to have all of his doubts and fears about his path highlighted by others. He did what he could to effect change, but he was always stifled by the bureaucracy of it all. At the moment, he doubted any organization could escape such.

Saki looked at Maya and remained still, her muscles tensing and flexing with constrained control. She wanted to play it back and let her hear it, so she could hear how idiotic she sounded. More like the child trying to find reason. The darkside wasn't a plaything, it wasn't something you touched and went to for little hints, it was dangerous and addictive. "Then grow up." Saki looked at her, she was Hapen, she was also female there was a reason she had returned to Hapes for half a year and come back talking about her baby sister. Now she stood up and looked down at Maya before backing away and she spoke more turning around grabbing the chain.

"You think your the only one to believe she can find a balance can touch that darkness and come out unscathed? Did you? Do you think it makes you special?/ That no one else wishes they could? Snap out of it Maya. My daughter will grow up in a galaxy that is at peace, not one plagued by the sith. I can fight, I can kill and I can bleed because it is for her, it is for them. Because I can take it and not lose myself by giving in and believe me little one when it comes to inner darkness and shadow warriors I could eviscerate you. Lay you out on the ground and fill your mouth is your own heart and feel fine with it. Because darksiders don't make good mothers, your child or children would be better without you."

Saki had finished wrapping the chain around her hand as she lifted it and choked up lifting the weight. and she turned back around holding it. "The darkside is not to be trifled with Maya and if this is the path you have chosen then I have no choice. I will beat the brains back into your head until you learn the lesson all jedi teach their students. Nexu don't change their strips, sith are evil and no matter what happens in this galaxy thoughts like yours, thoughts that one can be better then everyone else. Is pride, is evil, I'll stop you so your friends don't have to deliver the blow. They can be upset with me if they wish it."

Saki let her body remain stiff and the weight in her hands became less and less while she prepared. Pushing from her core the energy through her limbs and into the area around her. She was going to shake the platform and make sure Maya was buried in her own tomb if she continued and perhaps this tough love approach would work and the skullthumper would knock the smarts back into her head. Once she drew on the darkside she had lost herself and now the only solution was to pummel her until she was back to being the girl in the grotto who was excited about her padawan.

With a look of sadness in her eyes though for a brief moment Saki considered just leaving her, leaving Maya to her own darkness to wallow and suffer.... but it was against the jedi way to allow suffering. She spoke reciting the words that had been told to her by her master. "I do this for your memory Maya Whitelight and for the jedi. By the will of the force that is my ally." She smirked. "And a powerful ally it is. Life creates it, makes it grow. Its energy surrounds us and binds us. Luminous beings are we, not this crude matter. You have forgotten to feel the Force around you. Here, between you, me, the earth, the sky, everywhere!"

Saki kept looking at Maya. "Your words hold no wisdom Maya, you want it all, you want the easy way out. Never having to commit, allowing yourself to be free and float from whatever tickles your fancy, so you can do whatever but you made a mistake. You should never have brought a kid into this because if there is anything that I dislike more it is when a mother uses their child as an excuse. That is the easy way and life isn't supposed to be easy, you will face what you have become and I will make you see. To be a force user is to face the truth, to choose light or dark, be the light or the shadow Maya and you refuse to choose."

Saki kept her mind focused there couldn't be any question about what was needing to be done, she was the one who was willing to pass judgement so she needed to be willing to pass the sentence. She had the tradition, she had the resolve and she had the method. The need was clear and Maya was ranting and talking crazy talk when it came to what she was doing. She wanted it all that was the problem, she had been prepared for many problems but not for that comment about her kid. That had struck a cord for her and Saki thought about her own child on Hapes.

She hadn't meant for it to happen but she had not denied it, just rolled with it and the will of the force meant she would have a child. She though never said who the father was and didn't plan to there were too many things and problems that could happen with that and it was better to just have her child believe she was a Ducha on Hapes that had some credits and an estate with a big sister that was a jedi. Saki shook the thoughts out of her head and turned to look at Maya as she sucked a little air through her teeth.

"Oh, Maya. When was it that you lost your way?" She said it more to herself and felt that fight, that enjoyment and her energy flowing into her limbs through her breath and core. She poured it into her limbs and muscles before walking forward and holding a length of the chain out. She had it wrapped around her fist and spoke coming forward. All intentions clear but more then that the calmness and serenity needed before she unleashed every ounce of her inner darkness into the attacks. The thrill of the fight would bring Maya into the path of a jedi who served one purpose and that was clearing the way for others more tempermental, more skilled in diplomatic talks.

"You see, I'm came here to help you kid not because I love you or because I care for you, but because the sith are evil and cruel and a danger to the galaxy, and one more sith is one sith too many, and I can't have that. So you are going to do one of two things, be dragged back to the light kicking and screaming or your going to be buried in a pine box with a traitors funeral and I will spend ever waking hour of every day looking for your kid. So the jedi can raise him and every year on his birthday I will tell him the story of how his mother died." Saki stood there just out of a traditional saber range but she had plenty of range with her weight and chain.

She smirked though not giving off anger from her last statement but just that cold breeze of someone who knew and could stick to a plan. "I'll tell him how she betrayed her friends, betrayed her order and most of all betrayed them. For nothing more then the foolish thought she could be special and better then others, that she could rise above the common men and women of this galaxy, so she could fulfill her own selfish quest for power. I will make sure your child knows your story Maya so that when they look back on you there is no attachment only disdain for what their mother became. Just another darkside junkie who didn't know when to say no."

What use is saving the galaxy if so much hurt and pain must be caused? Saki wondered it briefly and prepared to see what Maya was going to do. This was the final chance for the girl and deep down in her heart Saki wished she would make the only right choice. The sith were corruptible they did not allow non believers to frolic for long. She would be tortured or worse unless she submitted and all that bravado would be gone she would just be another servant of the darkside in its thrall believing it served her when she just served it. The sad little queen of a sad little hill in the darkness.

Saki continued to stand there and focus on Maya, her words might have seemed vindictive but she was focused, so much more would have to be done possibly, more said to snap her out of her stupor. "The darksiders have made this war because they hate us, you and me and all people of the galaxy. The force has given you this grace and pushed us into a balance. They're desperate now. They've never been able to conquer the jedi for long, and so this war has remained in stalemate for thousands of eons.

Saki had a look while she continued to stand there and spoke pushing it. She needed to drive that blade in deeper until she cut through the darkness over the girls mind. "And while this state of affairs endures no one can meet their fate. Your parents, and your children, and so on from the beginning lie still in wormy earth. Of course, some of them do come eventually to the realm beyond shadows and chaos, for while the paradise promised in the force may be closed the realm beyond shadows is always open, even on life day."

She moved forward more and wondered about the others, [member="Rasu Gan"] should be around and here playing good cop to her bad cop if anything but there was no time. The madness in Maya that made her believe she could walk a line in the sith and not be hurt had to be obliterated and she was the best one for that. "You said something about the war, how the Republic slaughters and fights. Well Maya time to face the truth, your war." Saki moved more. "Your war is arrogance and that makes it evil. It is what caused the first jedi to be cast out."

"I have not sold my soul for someone to spread my legs around Maya, I have my family, I have my resolve and I have truth. Something you have not shown spouting the words of others, without your own truth you will never survive, never become anything more then a child playing at being the bad girl but makes everyone slow clap for her." She kept moving now, stalking around Maya and letting her energies build to a crescendo that would let her unleash a violent series of attacks to tear into her. She could be patient and this waiting game was all about patience.

"Though while I have you here unable to leave, I will tell you a story and perhaps this will be the last thing that comes to you. If it fails kid well back to beating the smarts and brains back into you with a chain and dragging you kicking and screaming." Saki stood there and stopped focusing the energies so her presence in the force came out to establish her own dominance. "This is the story of the scorpion and the monkey lizard. See this scorpion comes to a stream and he needs to get across, he waits there for a time until a monkey lizard comes along. Please help be cross the river the scorpion says."

She paused for a moment, the indication would become clear and she would have to make sure. "No I can't you'll sting me the monkey lizard says. The scorpion says he won't and can be trusted that he isn't bad it is everyone else. So trusting him the monkey lizard allows the scorpion hops on his back and they start across." One more pause. "Halfway across the river the scorpion stings the monkey lizard.... Why did you sting me? the monkey lizard says. And do you know what the scorpion said Maya?" She waited a moment..... "It's in my nature."

The meaning was clear, at least as far as the fable went, the sith were the scorpion and the monkey lizard everyone who trusted them. It was in their nature to betray and lie and kill, they wouldn't stop and with her words done all Saki could think about was how much she was prepared to smack Maya until she understood properly what she was getting herself into. A smile coming on at the thrill and anticipation of battle as it tightened her body lower and lower.

Location - Maria's ship "Reverie", near Teta Museum of Fine Art & Antiquities
Objective - Save the cultural artefacts.
Team - Gamma
Allies - [member="Avalore Eden"], [member="Turin Val Kur"], [member="Jannik Morlandt"] [@All Republic Forces]
Enemies - @All One Sith Forces.

Maria was then close enough to the museum that it was better to land. Along with Jannik Morlandt, they had just reached the meeting place of Team Gamma, where they were supposed to save the valuable artefacts of Empress Teta. They could be extremely useful for the Republic, and thus it was better to get them back from the uncivilised One Sith. They had nothing to do with them, but the grand galactic power of the Galactic Republic had to much to do with them.

To be honest, Maria hoped with this little invasion, One Sith gets seriously damaged. She hoped so, at least.

And so Reverie landed near the museum, and Maria stepped outside, letting Jannik leave the transport whenever he desires to. Maria was bit confused as she did not know where she should head. But there was so much going on, there was destruction everywhere, complete mess on the planet. It was not too safe to save the artefacts, even though the main fight probably took place in a different location.

Urgh... Why did I have to come here?

Shara looked at Marcello, his head turning. He could see the doubt in the Jedi's eyes. He could see the apprehensiveness, the belief. He frowned slightly, the great lumbering Sith Lord taking another step forward towards the Jedi Master, not threatening, but simply another step so that he did not have to roar his words.

“We have watched this galaxy for nearly a thousand years. Behind a veil of secrecy, of darkness, we have watched and waited.” Shara waved his hand slightly, explaining further “We watched as the Jedi rebuilt, we watched as the Republic grew.”

His words became impassioned. “We watched as your brothers slaughtered countless innocents in the war against the so called Empire. We watched as the Republic grew sluggish and complacent. We watched as Corruption seized, and at the heart of that corruption, do you know what we saw?"

The Sith Lord paused for dramatic effect.

“Jedi.” He almost spat the word in disgust. “You do not rebuild a house on a broken foundation. You clear away the rubble In its entirety, and rebuild from scratch. That is what we are doing, that is what has to be done.”

Marcello's right eye twitched slightly as [member="Darth Shara"]'s words rolled across the void between them. The hulking Sith was not saying anything that Marcello himself had not conveyed repeatedly to those that fancied themselves leaders of the Jedi Order. This while thing, this entire existence was little more than a crap shoot.

As he watched the Sith, Marcello thought about how much easier it would be to simply wipe away the remnants of weakness and rebuild with a fresh start. Hell, he along with many others had attempted to foster a fresh start amongst the Jedi Order. The destruction of the Jedi Temple on Coruscant had been the opportunity they needed, the chance to mend the fractured nature of their Order. What had happened, of course, he had come to expect.

They failed.

Yet...failure was a constant among the galaxy. In the current moment, Marcello was realizing the simply was not a perfect option, no ideal organization. Amongst the Sith and Jedi there would be people...that broke from the organization's ideals or failed to accomplish a task. This war would never be over, and it would only continue to be a danger to those Marcello cared for. That was why he fought...not for himself but others. Outside of that...what would happen when the Sith prevailed? Someone would rise up to oppose them.

Glacier-blue eyes looked up at the gargantuan Sith. This would, perhaps, be an impossible fight. Marcello was many things but he was not a hero. His actions had cost the lives of innocents, he'd seen it with his very own eyes. Marcello was not a savior that came to people in their hour of need regardless of where they were. Marcello was just a man, a warrior. He was a silent professional that did only what was necessary and he accepted the reality of occasional failure as a part of life.

There was only one thing in Marcello's mind that was truly perfect, pure. It was his love and affections for a woman that he routinely placed behind his dedication to others, to the galaxy. That was his lot in life. If that made him weak or delusional in the eyes of others, so be it. He did not seek acceptance, and he punished himself more than any other possibly could.

"No." With a snap-hiss, the dark blue blade of Marcello's lightsaber reactivated. The sight was followed immediately by a rush of Force energy that exploded from the Jedi Master's body. He was keenly aware that the strong, sudden attack would effect friend and foe alike. He was where he belonged. The failure of the Jedi would only be complete when those with purpose abandoned it entirely.

Marcello would not.

The cyan blade came up in a blur, meeting each of the enemy's strikes with surpassing speed. Ryan grit his teeth as his double handed grip shuddered at the impact of a sharpened sword. His foe had the forehand advantage of kinetic energy with the heavy blade, but Korr held speed on his side. After countering the second strike, Korr gathered his feet and leaped in a high flip that brought him over the head of his opponent. He slashed down with his lightsaber as he tumbled through the air, intending to take the garishly masked Sith in the back of the head.

Korr landed lightly and pivoted around, bringing his saber into the traditional Ataru guard stance. There would be no trading of words with these Sith. He knew what they were about and conversation would be but wasted breath. The horrid mask which the short one wore mirrored the monstrosity of the horned demon. Both represented evil in varying degrees, but both would kill innocents without thought in order for their "grand scheme" to be accomplished. Ryan would not let that happen. Ends never justified the means.

CINNAGAR'S CONSULTATION CHAMBERS

"Our battles were supposed to be over."

"The Sith's oppression is coming to an end! The Republic is coming to liberate us!"

"It's not an oppression, it's.."

"Well it's certainly not fruitful, is it. All of our trade routes have suffocated-- out economy is fractured with their infestation."

"He's right, The Republic had always ensured our exports are met with imports. And with this new Chancellor, we were supposed to receive double on carbonite investments."

"Is that because he's a Hutt?"

"I think that was a one time thing long ago that belongs in story books."

"I dunno. I've got a mug with the image of that smuggler in carbonite-- prisoner of a Hutt."

"I think it was for something more beneficial.."

"You sure? Seems like a fetish thing to me."

"That's quite enough. I think we can all agree The Republic is able to provide us the best options for our economy. Senators, can we all agree?"

Faint nods came from around the room, a somewhat collective agreement from the politicians who squirmed in their seats. These seats were erected high above the skyline of the ecumenopolis that was Cinnagar. Outside, Republic vessels peppered the skyline bringing a sensation of optimistic expectancy among those that lived within the system. The Sith hadn't been outright oppressive yet -- but their history meant chains were to come. This was not something the Teta Empire system wanted -- especially after the Battles of Unification 3000 years ago. The Republic was the closest they could get to a coalesced governance.

"I'll have a contact reach out."

LOCATION: ABOVE LIBRARY

Kiskla's visage was not a mirror to her emotions. It reflected nothing. Or perhaps her pretty face's stoic indifference was a reflection of her emotions-- for she currently felt nothing.

Again though, that was not true.

These creatures that infected Republic space were necromantic novelties that spawned like the plague. The Jedi were here to eradicate them -- but unlike prior times of The Order, Kiskla made sure The Republic lead the onslaught; with The Jedi by their side. Like peanut butter and jelly, but spreading the peanut butter first. The objectives of this liberation were to purge the Sith from republic territory, to remove their claws from the governance of Teta. As a Jedi, she sincerely hoped this was not a reflection of Manaan--- or anything else with innocents squished under the soles of the liberators.

Cortosis covered knuckles rapped against her thigh as she orphaned herself to The Force; allowing it to encompass her and give a broad image of what her shuttle was launching into. This was the first time Kiskla had taken the Kuat-created armour for a test-spin, and she felt rather peculiar about it.

Armour was a physical admittance of mortality and the fear of death.

Or, in Kiskla's instance, a preserver of secrets rather than life. She'd fought for years without protection; but now the war demanded her prodigal prowess. She could no longer divide her attention to concealing her facial Quukufs and summoning other Force tricks. Hence her commission of a helmet--- the suit was a nice addition; especially with the cortisis gauntlets.

Although she didn't look like a Jedi with it on,she did look badass.

And that's all that counts.

She closed her eyes. Her objective today was to bring these people the hope necessary for restorative purposes. She only hoped there wouldn't need to be a campaign like Ahto City again.

A crackle echoed from the belova bracer that rested on her right wrist. The source of the messenger was from the Empire's main political building in Cinnagar.

"Tssssch. Republic. This is Senator Jarro jdjdnstschhhhhhhh... Soldiers fighting criminals.......,,,,,,,:..sttssch. Assistance requested to protect the main...museum and artifaccchhhtttt.....History needs protecting. Do this, and our diplomats are more than ready to re-sscxhht The Republic as provisional members." The transmission was followed by a series of snaps and crackles, and Kiskla leaned against the hangar arch as her personal shuttle curled to the drop zone.

She replied a short "Copy" back to the messenger and dropped her arm. Many of The Jedi had been arranged into teams-- as Grandmaster, she had not participated in this organization. She had found on Ossus that being a Master only attracted unwanted attention; her Padawan had nearly been jeopardized. Besides, she was entering the atmosphere with a different objective than The Republic's armies.

From the centre of her being, a serene feeling rolled outward. The hopeful emotion blanketed the ground beneath her, hopefully cutting through the oppression and overall dank cloud that weighed down on those below.

The airlock released and she crouched, her knee touching the edge of the opening as Veil V2's helmet came up from the collar of the suit and covered her face from the wind's sting. The communication within the helmet synched with the frequencies to the cockpit.

"Circle around the back of the library, ensure the citizens studying inside get out." This liberation had been organized delicately, but the blonde Grandmaster couldn't afford the strain that there'd be any unsought deaths.

"We do that, and we don't come back for you."

"I'm not planning on needing an evacuation, Commander."

A confirmation of reception echoed in her ears and she leaned forward while they circled nearer the ground. Then she tipped forward, her body heavier than usual with the metal coating. It was still a somewhat graceful descent, one that landed her at the steps of the ornately designed library.

The Force cushioned her landing, and she quickly stood; the suit pulsing with the energy contained in the crystal that reinforced it. Immediately, she realized the proximity of other Force-users and her cerulean blades snapped to life; held in an 'x' behind her. There was a darkness in particular that was unfortunately familiar; not only to her battle of past, but to a young boy from Anaxes and a witch from Umbara.

"Hello, darkness my old friend." The blonde grinned beneath her protective helm as she gave a slight gesture indicating [member="Darth Vornskr"] was the apple of her eye and was not to advance after the fleeing electro. There would be something different about her; a more focused Force presence. More impressive. On Coruscant, she had been distracted by hiding her Quukufs. Here, Veil v2 did the work for her so she could focus on kicking butt and taking names. Dutifully, she imparted her speech of arrest before the tango could begin; "Your presence isn't welcomed here. Return to your shadows." A pause, nobody could see the glint of humour in those cerulean eyes, but she continued "But you and your brethren are very much under arrest for war treacheries against The Galactic Republic and it's citizens."

He'd probably not buy it, but it was her job to try!

Now this was good. For once I had gotten the chance to make an effect on someone with a lightsaber. With a heavier blade, I would have a more powerful approach, while the weightless lightsaber would almost force the tall Jedi to take the fast approach. He effectively blocked both of my strikes, however, he was pressed to do so. Influencing more of the idea that I would be using strength here, but I had to be careful of his next attacks as they would be fast. Most likely he would preform fast attacks at a close range to overpower me with just the sheer amount of attacks that I have to block. This would test me.

After my second strike had been thrown to the side by his saber, he jumped. Deciding to not try to combat him toe to toe, I rolled to the side as he came over where I was once standing. His lightsaber hummed over my head and I could hear it just behind my head. Close, too close for comfort. After facing him, he took what looked to be a standard stance for a lightsaber fight. I did not know what form he took. call it that I don't use a lightsaber, I did not know any form of combat. Maybe I should learn up on those after I am done here? Yeah, that way I can learn how to get past people with lightsabers since I seem to encounter them all the time now.

He was silent. Duty of keeping his mouth shut and believing that he was in the right. Always with the Jedi and who is in the right. I could hear yammering off to my side of the Master almost yelling at each other. This was not a debate, we are standing in the middle of a battle. Rushing forward again, I came with the double-edged sword to swipe at his feet from his left to right, followed by a reverse of a diagonal uppercut from his right to left. I was giving the man almost simple strikes to deal with. Testing his speed and strength. Trying to find a weak point in his proverbial armor.

Maybe he would jump again? If he did, I was prepared.

Balaya felt it and with Vulpesen running away from the fight with Vindica she had been on the move holding her grenade launcher and sonic rifle. The empathy and everything was coming to her head now that she was outside the iron citadel. Tossing it aside when she saw the large brawl and holing the sonic rifle brought her attention to her old master and a grin came upon her face. She didn't have to wait and could take her time while she walked. Resetting the rifle and calibrations for human settings, the small variation enough for her own amusement. "You know we could have stayed and enjoyed the time relaxing or gone for those pretty jewels." Gggggggggggggrrrr Balaya growled a little in her head and at the saber as it continued its conversation.

"Must you be so.... annoying." "Your the one who helped awaken me now I am here and nothing will get rid of me." Bah her rage boiled over at that and getting closer to the brawl she paused looking back and feeling [member="Vulpesen"] now. Even with what was happening she was more then ready and turned on her heel standing to full size. "Come to me little jedi and I am going to rend the flash from your bones."

Due to being already unconscious, Veles did not even know of the punch aimed to keep him down. It definitely wasn't a peaceful sleep, not only because the 'honorable' Mandalorians had the great idea to beat the unconscious man, but also because he could not connect to the Force, taste the Dark Side again. Only once had he experienced such feeling. A Sith Master severed young Veles' connection to the Force for several minutes to punish the boy. Not a pleasant experience, but no harm came to him. Unlike now, with the battle raging all around him, with enemies hoping to rob the Sith of his life. Somewhere deep in his consciousness, the Mon Calamari knew he had to wake up if he wanted to survive. Without the Dark Side filling him with strength, he couldn't find another source of energy to do so though. The fire in his heart died out, no more burning with hate and anger. Was this peace he felt? Indeed, but the thing filling his heart was cold, scary, unlike the peace he remembered from meditations. And right then and there, Darth Veles realized he did not want to die. Not yet. Not like this. The Mon Cal still had his duty to fulfill and an apprentice who needed his guidance. The thought of the beautiful pink skinned woman gave him the strength he desperately needed to fight against the chains dragging him to the other side. He was a Sith. Then he heard the voice, soon followed by an intense smell of something he could not describe. "Awake, brother. We have much to do."

"Yes," the Mon Cal whispered and his large eyes shut open. The first thing he noticed was something red pouring over the cybernetic eye. Frowning, the young Sith reached up and touched his forehead, hissing as his webbed claws touched the wound. He had no memory of getting hurt like this though. Darting the large eyes around, he noticed two lifeless Mandalorians. Grinning, the amphibian wiped the blood off his cybernetic eye into his sleeve and looked at his savior, a pale Sith Lord with eyes colored by the Dark Side of the Force. Darth Helios. "Thank you, Lord Helios... uhm," Veles grunted in pain as he pushed himself to his feet, "This is so embarrassing. Getting defeated by a simple Force push...," the Sith Knight cursed and shook his large domed head as he got up. It was not a painless process, but he welcomed the pain, once again. It made him realize he was still alive, sharpened his senses. The left eye swiveled to gaze at the right leg and he quickly checked it for any serious injuries. It seemed fine, nothing was broken, but it still hurt whenever he placed his weight on the right foot.

The young Mon Cal then realized what caused all of this to happen. "Listen," the Mon Cal's head turned with urgency, facing the more powerful and vastly more experienced Sith, "Our enemies have some sort of gas that disables our connection to the Force. I am unable to feel the embrace of the Dark Side... Do you have a gas mask? Or a helmet with filtration system..." By then, the Sith realized he still held both lightsabers in his hands. Apparently, the Mandalorians couldn't have been bothered to take those from him. Such a glaring display of stupidity has been rightfully punished by death. "There is no helping me, I have already breathed in the poison and won't feel the Force for several hours. Keep my words in mind so you don't suffer the same fate." His sight darted towards the dead Mandalorians and he raised his hand in an attempt to telekinetically grab their weapons and arm himself. Obviously, it did not work, he had to do it the old way. Taking a blaster pistol and a rifle, the young Sith posed a threat to the enemies of One Sith. Just what he wanted.

A mischievous smile spread across the Mon Cal's face as he looked at one of the buildings towering on the horizon, deep in the Sith controlled territory. A radio transmitter. Veles glanced back at the Sith Lord. "I cannot help you in combat. Not yet. There is something I have to do, Lord Helios... But please, if you'd manage to get your hands on a few of those Force breaking grenades. If we discover the composition of the gas and produce it in massive ammounts..."

***

A few minutes later, breathing heavily, the Mon Cal sat in a small room with a microphone in front of his face. Calming himself, he took one last breath and slowed his heart rate, moving his lips closer to the microphone. "My friends." His voice boomed all over the city.

“We stand now, at the precipice. Our great planet once more threatens to crumble, to topple into the sea of lawlessness and despair that have ruled us before the Sith came and brought us salvation. In short, my dearest friends - we are at war. Even as I speak these words, fearless Sith soldiers are fortifying their positions across the city, defending you and your families from the cowardly assault. The Republic, accompanied by the Jedi, preying on any and all, stealing, murdering, want to claim Empress Teta as their own! The so-called "peacekeepers.” Now, don't be fooled by their pseudo-knightly nonsense. They have invaded your planet, slaughtering any and all in their path. They would steal your homes, ruin the prosperity, put you all into shackles and strip you of even the most basic rights! It is only a matter of time before the barbaric hordes march to you, and attempt to take everything you hold dear by force. Let them come! Wave upon traitorous wave will crash against the united will of the people! They take no prisoners and show no mercy; offer them none in return, fight against the invader! The Republic will fail! All those who oppose the Sith will fail! For One Sith! For Empress Teta! For freedom!”

People across the city cheered, the speech gave them hope, gave them strength. Young and old, men and women, all kinds of species united in their fight against the Jedi and the Republic. From the most basic kitchen tools to the military grade weaponry, the citizens of Cinnagar armed themselves and prepared for the incoming invading forces. Republic troops as well as the Sixth Battalion soldiers fell to the might of the people, squads ambushed in the streets and attacked from everywhere. Buildings or barricades, it did not matter what the citizens of Cinnagar used for cover, they had to fight for their families, the future of their children, their very lives!

"You don't understand when the very one you want to keep the galaxy safe with peace is torn from you. That sith [member="Darth Veles"] took him used him as a pawn. As I got to know him, the more I understood him. It not using the darkside that makes someone evil. Its how you use the force itself." , waiting as took her own force making it a shell around her. To protect herself from what every to come if anything did come about. Feeling the rage of the warrior to switch to survivor mode.

"Come to think of it like this, if you threaten me like this. Are you no better then the sith, out for blood for what end at what cause. You play god, just like they play god only that you true to justified being the righteous. There has to be a balance with that there has to be both good and bad. It just that the most even ones that care nothing at all for the live. Yes, I can feel each life that is taken to have there soul be no more. Like a star going dead after being shinny brightly for so many billions of years. "

Reaching out with her empathy then with a warm hand reaching out to touch her face. "My sweet you need to think that all is even if does not match up with your own ideas. All isn't lost on me, I haven't raised a hand in this battle, I came to aid, to help just on a different side. If you try and stop me to kill me. You just as blood thirsty as the most blood thirsty sith.", as she looked at her releasing her own hand. There wasn't anything wrong with not that she came her to want to have their blood. No she wanted to be left alone to help aid these people any way she could.

"Do you feel the conflict with in me, the evil just rolling of me like some waterfall. No, I will tell you now I will stay true to my word I will be use for good in all this.", looking at her with empathy once again. "I still love each in the silver jedi order, like the very first day I step foot on planet.", letting it all flow from her into Saki. "My dear why would you want to put hate in a child of his mother, love not matter who it comes from is still love. A mother and child has this unbreakable bond. Do you think by tell him stories of how his mommy betray and then YOU murder her because her believes changed. ", tear slip from her eye ran down her cheek.

"Maybe your just as lost in this as many others are to find peace you must make peace in here.", laying her hand upon her chest where the feeling of her heart beat. "Not with this ", placing the other hand on the chain of her weapon. Letting her heart flow more out of her into the once to show the compassion she had in her heart. To know what was right and wrong.

"The story about the monkey lizard yes it is true, he got betrayed. Here a story There once lived an old man that buried all his treasures only to find that his granddaughter came to stay. Once evening she asked about some of his hidden treasures telling her a place. Going there there was nothing. Feeling that lie, there wasn't the trust before. Until figured out that one must build a trust back up. Slow way of building over time. Until one day got to see one of his treasure only to find out it was hers along but he was just keeping it safe out of harm ways and teaching her along the way. That all not what it seem to be. " , letting go of both her chest and the weapon. As she once again drop her own arms to her side.

"What do you say want to take on a person that means you know harm or do you want to go after the ones that are as blood thirsty as you seem to be, my sweet dear.", hear eyes told the story of empathy for her and how her thinking was messed up. "Here we all high above out of the battle where there is innocents to be saved, not to take out one that is always be true to shine where there is blackness to help those that need it. I understand the sith more then you think I do, yes are there dangerous ones out there, if I said maybe I would be lieing yes there are dangerous ones those are the ones that need to be taken care of not me, and not..", her eyes wide as she could get a feel of [member="Darth Veles"] through the force.

"Enough talking I must go aid others and find those that are lost or in need of my help.", nothing more could be said hopping that this would all sink into her some way. To see her own point of view if not. The gathered force that she had already set in play around her would give her the protection she need along with her own armor. Not wanting it to come to this but if she had to she would defend herself. Which would only mean that strengthen what already said to her about the jedi they want nothing more then to rule the galaxy themselves. Doing away with everyone else.

The Sith acolyte quickly raised his lightsaber to deflect once he saw his adversary reach for a heavy blaster; he had been well aware of Makashi's weakness when it came to dealing with blasters, and so he had observed other forms in order to compensate for this. However, unlike a simple block, he instead made a slashing motion into the incoming blaster bolt, which aimed to deflect it right back to its source. Either way, he would need to disable that blaster in order to force his opponent to advance on him, and thus play right into his hands.

"Hmph! And I thought that the Jedi frowned upon the use of random, clumsy, and uncivilized weapons like the blaster" Albrecht sneered, quoting one of the primary reason why the Jedi hadn't switched to blasters long ago: their belief that the blaster was not a diplomat's weapon. The Sith, on the other hand, had no such reservations, although they typically preferred ranged force attacks or ranged weapons of Sith origin, like the Lanvarok. "Oh, and another thing, your marksmanship is...how should I put it? Terrible, perhaps? No, nonexistent seems to be the best word to describe it."

Saki looked at Maya coming closer and she remained there for the time, her eyes remaining on the fallen jedi and she listened. If Veles was using her son to force her then that.... explained one thing, why she was an idiot. She had just signed her sons death sentence. Surely she understood what it took to actually be a sith, that attachment to her son she would have to break it to be free. She would have to kill her child to actually be worth more then a sack of bantha poodoo unless her plan was to simply try and not join in on the atrocities the sith would commit.

Her eyes narrowed though while Maya continued to speak, continued to justify her own reasoning. The words were not her own,and Saki flashed back over several times she had worked with the jedi and silver jedi. She wasn't one for nostalgia but she preferred when the bad guys actually had the balls or in this case ovaries to be bad guys. All this limp walking around one foot in and one foot out was more sickening then Dragonsflames attempts at food. The idea she found them anything but dispicable made her almost want to vomit in her mouth.

But this had its advantages, and it was only foul play to kick a man when he was down while she moved. With Maya to block her path. She wasn't letting her go, she wasn't going to let someone fall because they were an idiot. Saki reached out and with her force enhanced speed and strength gripped Maya hard. "No. Your not leaving Maya, you might want to go off with the sith because like all the women who write to serial killers you believe you can trust and save them but I will not allow it. You rush off to spread your legs and we stood aside, you show up here to fight your friends and we have held back, you side with people who have killed billions of lives and now expect me to let you join them?"

Saki let the weight drop to the ground while she still held the chain in one hand. "No, there is a line here. This far and no further. Your only way past it is through me kid and I will make you regret that because once you gave in you, once you sold your reason and logic for thirty pieces. You made a choice and I will not allow you to harm more people in your delusion of saving them. Sith harm the galaxy and you have become a threat to all life, it is my duty as a jedi to eradicate you and protect life. I will find your son and I will keep my promise. He will know how selfish you were because he needs to, the love a child has fr their parents is hard to take away but he deserves to know the truth."

Her muscle flexed more and prepared, she was ready for a fight and right now looking att the zeltron and the platform they were on she had more then enough of a plan. Her foot rose as she released some of the pent up energy and a small quake made the platform they were on smaller, sections of it harder to climb up and even jump. She was keeping the girl away from the problem and preparing for what needed to be done. She cared for who the girl was not who she had become and felt herself fighting back a few tears. "You were a friend Maya, I loved you like I love all other jedi and I will weep for you."

Her fist clenched straining around the chain and Saki felt it all. She was prepared for this and well. Her hand dropped the chain and she moved keeping the force in her body and feeling everything roll off her as she swung quickly letting the force breathe and direct her motions.. She was slowly down time to a fraction around her and let her grip become like iron to keep Maya within range. "I'm sorry." Her fist went faster with the force and the loop of energy rolling through her made her muscles ripple and bulk as she tried for a solid strike to the side of Maya's face to attempt a one blow knock out. The curling force energy acting like a kinetic impact, the darkside from her core coming out to the strike and adding to the force and impact.

Sai Fel kept moving and looking at what was there. The Republic soldiers around all of them had gear and the fallen ones she could use their equipment but she had seen something special with the mando's who had come. Aedan miles may have once been a potential enemy of the Imperium but now as she spotted one of his fallen warriors the Rifle they brought with them she knew was impressive. The blaster went into its holster on her hip while she kept running and rolled over the mando grabbing the rifle and checking it. The gun was surprisingly lightweight in her hands and had room for a bayonet on the tip.

Thoughts came to her while she kept running and going through the settings on the weapons. Firing the blaster which was simple but there was a computer. "Well then I'll just have to work on that won't I." Sai Fel stopped for a moment as she flipped the switch and winked. She had been impressed with the craftsmanship and realized what this was and why mandos were not something good to fight. They knew how to make weapons that overkilled and she heard the hum before firing a sonic blast. THe last calibration for humans on the settings and amusement on her lips. The rifle had several settings for just this.

Vornskr would have gladly run down the fleeing Jedi Master, and pin his body to the ground with his saber, but his attention was quickly averted as a familiar voiced rang out across the courtyard to grind against the Sith's ears. He chuckled and turned to face her, the fleeing Jedi Master momentarily forgotten as he faced down his nemesis from Coruscant. "Master Grayson, I had wondered when you'd show up." With meticulous movement, Vornskr would slowly ascend the steps leading up to where Kiskla was standing, his lightsaber lit but held down and the the right, the tip occasionally clipping the permacrete with a vile hiss. "Crimes? I see no crimes? I once saw a world accepting of Sith rule, one that had conformed and was beginning to flourish, and then I see the Republic, so hungry and narrow-minded, coming to kill civilians and valiant soldiers."

Oh, yes. For whatever reason, apparently there were some Jedi out there that were content and at peace with slaughtering innocent civilians, something that many would commonly associate with a Sith. Then again, he'd seen stranger things in this galaxy of chaos. "I wonder why that is? Not content to just rooting out those with the Force that oppose your own views, and now you must purge all that have been touched? If so, then I, Darth Vornskr, shall stop this madness, and restore Order to Empress Teta!" Vornskr spun his lightsaber around in front of him, similar to what he did before the quick bout with Master Hallu. He then adopted the opening stance of Form III, his left hand outstretched menacingly at Kiskla, with his right pulled horizontally back and his weapon gripped tightly.

He wasn't a master of Form III, that distinction fell to Dranok Lussk, but he had adopted many aspects of Form III into his overall lightsaber dueling style, and he would employ them initially, but then of course would employ many Form's maneuvers overall. A single moment passed, the tick of a cloak, and then Vornskr lunged with lightning fast speed up the remaining distance to engage Kiskla Grayson.

Upon seeing his opponent reaching for another weapon, Albrecht broke into a sprint and leapt back up onto the balcony from which he had ambushed the Jedi moments earlier, the sonic blast just barely missing him. The humming noise gave away the weapon's sonic aspect, which meant he would have to be especially cautious, due to the somewhat horrific ability of a sonic weapon to cause one's internal organs to rupture on even a glancing hit if calibrated properly. Either way, he supposed it was time to fight fire with fire.

"Well, if you're going to be that way..." he said in a mocking sort of tone as he pulled his own blaster from its holster. Unlike the heavy blaster his opponent had chosen for her sidearm, or the rifle she had just picked up, the SE-14C was a military blaster pistol only in name, being capable of full-automatic fire to a degree rivaling that of a carbine or rifle, but also had settings for semi-automatic, burst and stun fire. He leveled the sights on his opponent and pulled the trigger, releasing a continuous hail of fire in Sai's direction, though he kept his lightsaber active in his other hand just in case he needed to block incoming fire. What started as a lightsaber duel had turned into an Outer Rim-style gunfight.
