[TLM] "The Unknown" [Silver Jedi]

Part 1
Mission Name: "The Unknown"
Mission Location: Jedi Temple Ruins

The Order of the Silver Jedi has established themselves on Voss. The Jedi council has sent an archaeological team to investigate the ruins of the previous Jedi Temple in an attempt to find any lost artifacts that were preservable, but what will they find? What lost information will they stumble upon? Nothing is more frightening than a fear you cannot name.

Jedi Master Sochi Ru has, upon the will of the council, organized an Archaeological expedition to the previous Jedi Temple stationed on Voss. This would be open to all members of the New Order to partake and help search for artifacts that were deemed preservable enough to bring back to the temple and placed within the Archives. The team was stationed outside the main entrance, and so stood Sochi as everyone gathered.

She herself would not be partaking within the excavation, as she had been inside previously on multiple occasions performing restoration projects so that the place could be deemed accessible once again; this did not mean that the ruins themselves were completely safe. No one knew what really hid within. As everyone formed around, she began to address them.

"Greetings my fellows, welcome to the Jedi ruins. Your participation is greatly appreciated, today you will be assisting in and excavation project presented by the Council. We are hoping to find any and all artifacts or items that can be brought back to the temple and archived." She said softly, motioning with her hands as she spoke.

"This has been offered up as a chance for everyone to gain some experience under their belt, and can work in your favor when your are later brought before the Council concerning your elevation in rank. This environment is strictly for the learning and progression of our order. The dangers that might live within are currently unknown, the native Gormaks have been sited around these parts, so might I suggest forming teams, and whenever your ready you may proceed." She said softly, slowly tilting her head in a form of a bow to her fellows.

"May the force be with you."

Her curiosity piqued as [member="Sochi Ru"] 's words well upon artifacts, questions whirled around her head as the Master finished.

"May the force be with you Master." she wished and waltzed into the ruins, whomever followed would want to, she had learned a long time ago that those which stuck around, didn't pick over the petty details and plans were the best of friends, of partners in crime so to speak.

"May the force be with you all." Chani called out as she disappeared out of sight behind a long left bend beyond the reinforced stone walls, the Master had been busy and it showed all around, scaffolding here, supports there, even some excavation tools. She looked around for any workers, didn't see any and so borrowed the archeology tools on the ground, removing her belt and rolling them all together, this sure would be interesting.

Hasjo glanced a disapproving glare to Chani as she waltzed into the ruins, alone. It would prove ultimately foolish when a Master had recommended teams. There was a reason for everything behind a Master's words, and when they told you to form teams. Well, you best snap too it. Hasjo moved his stare onto the crowd where others stood around. He began to hulk through the masses, whilst shorter than some, his large muscular stature allowed him to part through crowds relatively easy. He was in search of [member="Asaak Tey"], [member="Maya Whitelight"], [member="Cambria Zadira"] and [member="Erek'Ard Wagvar"]. People for whom he was familiar with, of which he could trust his safety in their hands, and their safety in his.

Her purpose is two fold. Firstly, as a Silver Jedi Warden her job is to assure the safety of the members of the Silver Jedi, to the best of her ability, but moreover, her interest is in the possible findings of this expedition. This part of her purpose would remain silent to them. And so she is here today, standing toward the back of the group as they began to form. Listening to Master Ru and her orders given, Coci moved forward to begin to form up. Although she much prefers to work alone, as is her nature, it would not be prudent to do so today. Her black eyes looked over all the members gathered as they shifted into groups.

It was then she noticed the girl called Chani disappear behind some stone work walls. Coci raised an eye brow at this unwise move, if she was not back soon Coci would go find her, this is 'uncharted' territory and one steeped in a dark and dangerous past, and how knew what future. A pang of suspicious began of bite at Coci, a habit from her past maybe, but still this behaviour from the girl is questionable and she would keep an eye on the Padawan.

Hawk stood outside the entrances with the others. He couldn't believe it when Chani went in alone. Someone need to learn some patience. Chani action reminded himself how he used to be. He would leap before thinking.

"I'm going to join her. She shouldn't be in there by herself." He says to the others. He followed the same path that Chani had took. He disappeared behind the wall. Hawk spotted Chani picking some tools. "Good idea," he says picking up some tools for himself. "Hi." He says to her awhile he reached out with the force. He didn't sense any danger yet. "This place is impressive."

Asaak could not believe how far they’d come in such a short amount of time. It was incredible to look over her shoulder and see the finished Silver Jedi Temple, something that every single one of them had been working towards in one way or another over the last few weeks. Everything was growing so fast and Asaak was proud to be a part of it.

She gathered with her fellow Jedi, listening to Master Ru and nodding her head.

[member="CHANI"] ’s actions, though not necessarily something Asaak would have advised, were not altogether unexpected now that she knew the girl better. The bright-haired woman was new around here but she had come from circumstances that didn’t really ingratiate her to the way things worked around here. So the Togruta was willing to give her a break, giving [member="Hawk Solo"] a wide smile when he said he would go after Chani. She felt better knowing her friend (could she call Chani that, knowing how wild she was?) would be in Hawk’s hands.

She looked around the rest of the group, her gaze falling on [member="Hasjo Hallu"]. They had been working very closely lately due both to the lower numbers of their group and as both led Clans. There was a camaraderie in such hard work and she was happy to say that she truly considered the Nautolan a friend. She was proud of all his accomplishments and hoped to follow in his footsteps.

“Hey Hasjo – mind if I join you?” she queried, settling herself next to him. She looked around, an inviting expression on her face. Not only was she looking for her close friend [member="Maya Whitelight"], but she wouldn’t mind unfamiliar faces joining the group – after all, the two had been at it for quite a while now and she wanted to meet some of the new members, and it would only be fair to help others get their start.

And what a start it would be.

From a distance she listen to what had been said, only to find herself more then not holding back, just what was she doing. It was if she looking seeking, there coming a cross those that knew her best. Finding her footing some what taken a step towards the group again. [member="Asaak Tey"][member="Hasjo Hallu"] Putting a smile upon her face at less this time Hasjo wasn't driving which was a good thing right. Coming right up to them both not really finding it to anyone else what she didn't next by kissing them both on the cheeks. Asaak, Hasjo I was hoping that you would be on this adventure to be, I hope there are some treasure be be found don't you...so what did I miss anything....

The Kiffar touched everything, she knew there was a risk in the act of psychometry on such a dark planet, she could receive images that where uncomfortable, even affect her physical state, her ordeal with Master Rasu Gan proved this to be a treacherous occurrence on Voss, when in the past this hadn't always been the case, here the effect was tremendously more sensitive, acute and powerful.

As she finished tucking away the tools in her robes, somewhat startled by someone following her turned to see [member="Hawk Solo"] also collecting archeological tools, "Impressively creepy," but she smiled despite the words in response, welcoming the company, "..and hello, my name is Chani, I don't believe we have ever really met," her smile faded and she looked around at the gloomy cave-like atmosphere, "We will not always be able to coddle ourselves into groups," she explained, "I often strike out independently, I feel like the force calls for me to expand my awareness, develop my personal abilities so that when a group is necessary I can be a pillar amongst a foundation."

Stepping over a fallen structure that upon closer inspection may have been an archway frame Chani sniffed the air like a hound, "despite being part of this order, bound to protect and take care of one another in the end we are not useful to anyone if we are feeble followers, judgments can be clouded by archaic ideology of honor and duty, I am beyond the dogmatic humdrum of a soldier's perspective." the smile returned as she groped around a large statue in a wide room that opened up before them, reading its history, "After all, we are but part of the force so we are never truly alone, I always remind myself pride leads to the fall, I'd like to hone my skills to backup my actions instead of becoming a hollow Knight leading fellow Jedi to doom through unwise passion, sort of like this statue" She knocked on it, her ear pressed against the statue a soft gong returned. "Empty."

She looked over to [member="Hawk Solo"], "Tell me about yourself..." For a moment she thought she heard someone else coming down the corridor, [member="Coci Sinopi"] perhaps?

Connor stood alongside the others outside the awesome sight of the ruins. It would certainly be an exciting voyage into the past, that was for sure, but at what cost?

Seeing Chani go in, he was even more perplexed at the girl. A curious one, with no regard to her actions affecting others, however innocent they were, as she seemed to push herself forward; acting first and thinking later.

He placed his index and middle finger to his right temple and closed his eyes, trying to reach her in the Force and map out where she was, but he was met with nothing. Just the other auras of those around him. Either his connection wasn't as strong as he wanted, or something was blocking him.

Not letting anyone else see his failed attempt, a cold sweat raced over his body as the fear of Rhen Var struck him again - he prayed that his connection was a little under-developed and he wasn't about to become cut off from the Force entirely, not again. He couldn't go through this all again.

Beside him, he saw the one know as [member="Maya Whitelight"] plant a kiss on the cheeks of two lucky Jedi, and payed it no heed. Fair enough.

He had to decide to either step forward, or hang back and wait with the others. He decided to wait. For now.

Hawk nods as Chani speaks. He agreed with most f what she was saying. "Sometimes you have to follow the will of the force. Just remember the force isn't everything. You have to remember to have a little common sense."

He walked over to another statue that was connected to the wall. He examines it closely. "My name is Hawk. I'm a Corellian." He could feel air rushing behind the statue. "Chani. Give me hand. I think I just found a hidden passageway."

Chani laughed at herself out loud, "The force is everything, it's all around us, we are in the business of confronting the darkside, as a wise Master once said, 'you must unlearn what you have learned', I will never forget those words I heard at the Neutral Force Academy, all my life I thought one thing, assumed on a great many more, people, ideals, decisions on what i should do and in the end all these fell away into the ignorance of my perspective, I had to relearn the way of the Jedi, the force, myself, so forgive me if I am little cautious of common sense, it's a little too common." She groaned in the effort and the Statue refused to budge, "Let's try another way." Reaching out with the force she could feel the object and the relationship between her and It and Hawk, her breathing slowed as they all connected.

Together the two of them were unable to physical move the statue. "We are going to have to use the force to move it." He closes his eyes as he feels connected to the force, Chani and the statue. "On the count of three. 1...2...3".

The statue wiggles at first than slowly lifts off the ground. Behind it there was a dark passage way. It was filled with cob webs. A burst of cold air hits them.

Hawk breaks his connection. A cold chill goes down his spine. It was the dark side.

"Ok...3" She felt amazed that they where able to lift such a heavy thing together, stale air hit her nostrils in a sudden burst, [member="Hawk Solo"] released his force hold and Chani barely allowed room to enter the passageway before she dropped it, the big statue tilted left and right before settling still. "What happened?" then it hit her, an excited feeling which made the hairs on her arms raise, "darkside," she repeated after Hawk and approached the entrance, peeking inside, "shall we?" and then disappeared into the place as she hopped in. Half the stairwell was rotted and she fell through sideways on a pillar and the wall, the fall was just a few feet and she wasn't hurt, the stairway was wooden and had given in under the stress of her weight, it must have been ancient. Chani looked around, it was pitch black, she produced an electric torch, cracked it and the room glowed, lying on the pillar she shone the light over it and groaned in disgust out loud, springing to her feet she brushed off cob webs and dust, "Gross-" she declared, "A body!" coughing from the debris, "A long dead one...watch your step the stairway is broken."

Prior to meeting up with the rest of the Silver Jedi at the old Jedi Temple ruins, the Twi'lek Knight had been up with the sunrise following through with her usual morning routine of mediating while doing katas in the meadow near where Clan Kaadu was going to construct their training dojo. Cambria was excited about the prospect of doing so and hoped to go over the plans in more detail with fellow Guardian [member="Hasjo Hallu"] later when the other Silver Knight was available to do so as they had only talked about it in passing.

Standing with the gathered crowd of other Silver Jedi serenely, Cambria listened attentively to what Master [member="Sochi Ru"] had to say about their mission within the Temple ruins. It was unfortunate that an eager Padawan didn't listen and entered the ruins alone and not with a team as the Master Jedi had suggested. But fortunately, others followed the young girl in hopefully to catch up with her before something bad befell her.

Spotting Hasjo was easy as the green Nautolan was the one with a tall head-dress of tentacles and that ever present smile of his even when he wasn't trying and a pair of dark unblinking orbs that could look into your very soul. Bri walked over to where her friend was standing with others ([member="Asaak Tey"] and [member="Maya Whitelight"]) she had not met as of yet. "Greetings… I am Cambria Zadira," the Rutian Twi'lek offered in her smooth yet thick accent with a slight bow of her head and a friendly twitch of her lekku.

Well, this wasn't Lok's forte at all. Prior to the announcement of objectives and other news, the Valkyri kept himself a little further away from the group than most did. The dank, damp, and dimly lit cavern was much like others he'd encountered on Midvinter, but a lot warmer in temperature. He drew in a deep breath and sighed, tugging at the collar of his outfit. Find artifacts, huh? Yeah. Lok wasn't so great at digging things up or actually looking for things of this nature. His realm was upon the battlefield or an arena, a born warrior.

"Stang.." He growled under his breath as teams immediately began to form and he was stuck with nobody. The man pursed his lips and heaved yet another heavy sigh. Fingers wrapped around miscellaneous tools as he bent down to retrieve a few picks, hammers, and a magnifying glass. These objects soon found themselves housed within his utility belt's compartments. After finishing up his little preparation phase, a quick glance around informed him of his team options. Outlook: Not so good.

With a mental shrug, the man yanked his dear lightsaber from its hook, and set out in a completely opposite direction than that of the majority of the students. Perhaps he could discover something even greater than theirs?

:: HERO of KORRIBAN ::
Archeology, why did it have to be archeology? It was as good as anything he guessed, especially when it was for the order. For the first time in a long time Judah felt some pride. He was glad his friend [member="Cambria Zadira"] let him know what she had been up to. Judah was also glad [member="Katara Starkos"] had been his voice of reason. His secret bride had always been able to tell when he was not happy. The move was good, and she had told him it would be. Judah would never admit it to her face, but when it came to major things, like Judah's happiness, the fiery redhead was always right.

Judah took his spot against a wall, in the shadows, away from the crowd. It was usual for him to do so. The Telosian would remain quiet unless talked to directly. Unless that happened, Judah would simply maintain the mental connection he and Bri kept open when on missions together.

"To bad about that Padawan huh?

Bri would be the only one to here him. In fact he was so quiet, and late enough, that the others may or may not notice he was there. After all when in unknown situations, Judah kept his aura masked.

“Hey Hasjo – mind if I join you?” [member="Asaak Tey"] asked.
"No, I was searching for you" Hasjo answered, having a knack of saying this too seriously. A frown creased his forehead as he concentrated on the crowd, looking for another familiar face. He asked "Where's Ma-"
[member="Maya Whitelight"] came into view "Asaak, Hasjo I was hoping that you would be on this adventure to be, I hope there are some treasure to be found don't you...so what did I miss anything..."
And lastly, [member="Cambria Zadira"] "Greetings… I am Cambria Zadira,"
Hasjo smiled warmly towards her, his eyes wandering over her. He replied "I was just about to come find you." He threw his head over his shoulder to watch how the others of the Jedi Temple were going. He glanced back to Maya and Asaak, it was strange. He had known Asaak for a very long time, and while their meetings were far and in-between, he felt her equal. He didn't feel like a Knight in her presence, but once more, another Padawan. And he would always consider Sochi Ru as his Master. He looked towards a stranger, of whom was beginning to take his own path just like Chani. Alone. Hasjo's frowned return, he lumbered towards him with a powerful stride. His webbed, green hand curled around [member="Lok Jorunn"] right shoulder, gripping down. Hasjo spoke "You're not going alone. You can join us." It was a tone of authority that he commonly used with his troopers. His black eyes studied the man, awaiting a response.

Before [member="Lok Jorunn"] had managed to walk too far off from the others, a firm hand was placed on the large man's shoulder. Should the padawan turn around, he would find the face of a newcomer to their folds, yet more experienced than most at the site. Master Thurion Heavenshield, envoy of the Levantine Sanctum and newly appointed Shield of the Guardians of the Silver Jedi, looked the man over with concerned eyes. "You shouldn't wander off on your own, padawan. It doesn't take much to get lost in these dark tunnels." His words were not demanding, but caring.

Thurion had initially travelled to Voss to meet with Master [member="Iella E'ron"], one of the founding members of the Silver Jedi, and ask her to reinstate him into the Jedi ranks. She had done so blissfully and without hesitation, and he in turn had gladly accepted her offer. What followed was a request that he join the group of padawans sent to the ruins of the once splendid Jedi Temple on Voss. He was not asked to aid them or join their search and exploration, but rather watch over them and intervene should anything unpredictable occur. It was a task he was most than willing to perform, if not just for the kindness from one friend to another.

"Don't you think you ought to rejoin one of the other teams, friend?"

With her black eyes Coci penetrated the darkness beyond the main area in which they stood, her eyes that have talent to see well beyond the normal of most sentient begins and coupled with the use of the force, she searched into the darkness directly ahead of them. She sensed and could just make out what appeared to be a hold in the floor. As she did so, her feet moved her forward to along side one of the new comers to the Silver Jedi, [member="Lok Jorunn"].

She stood, and turned to Master Ru, "I would like to take a small group and explore the lower depths .. anyone care to join me?", she said in a lower voice. Her eyes gave a quick flash to a man stand off from the group, [member="Judah Lesan"]. His presence in the force masked or at least depleted. Her research on this place had told her there is more to this ruin below the surface, much mystery surrounded the lower levels and one in which she was most curious to find out. There will be a purpose to this and one needed for a more secluded group.

Coci's soft foot falls touched the ruined stone as she moved closer to the darkness. The veil of the dark light washed over her as she ignited her purple saber to aid vision, the purple light washing the walls highlighting the much decayed place and indicating that in fact a large hole was present. She walked around the hole looking inward, even her eyes could not penetrate the pit. But there is only one way to find out what is down there.

Before he even had a chance to step foot in the direction of his choosing, a pair of hands camped around his shoulders and halted his movement forward. Whoever it was, they were definitely strong, strong enough to hold back a Valkyri. "Yes?" He slowly turned around, a not so pleasant look on his face at the sight of a pair of beings touching him. They almost spoke in unison, both bearing the same advice regarding his singular status. Whether he liked to admit it or not, Lok worked best on his own. It had always been that way. Then again, the lead master did say to roll out in teams. Oh well. At least he wouldn't have to watch his own back quite so often.

As the men dropped their hands from his shoulder, he offered a curt nod to them. Again, he was cut off. A female approached, informing them of a new route ahead and a possibility of scoping it out. "Sure. I'll go." He replied in a nonchalant tone, adjusting his grip on the lightsaber.
