[TLM] "The Unknown" [Silver Jedi]

"Well indeed here I am. I have saved you an unnecessary search," the blue-skinned Twi'lek Knight said returning the smile to [member="Hasjo Hallu"], then turned to the other two Jedi, who seemingly appeared to be more seasoned Padawans. ([member="Maya Whitelight"] and [member="Asaak Tey"])

"This mission given to us by Master [member="Sochi Ru"] should be quite interesting. Are you two ready to face what we may find waiting for us inside, good or bad?"

Cambria smiled to herself when [member="Judah Lesan"] pushed into her mind as she always left the mental connection open through their special brother/sister type bond they had. Well unless he and his wife, [member="Katara Starkos"], were in close proximity to each other as she found out the hard way while visiting the married couple at their home on Corellia… It wasn't a good thing to do. TMI.

//"Hello, my friend. I am glad you are here… And yes, now there are two. So eager they are." //

Rasu had made sure to stand a far bit away from the group, giving her the isolation needed to focus on the Force. Being a member of the Council, Rasu was one of the only one's who knew the alternate objective of this mission. The Council had been sensing much darkness since the arrival to Voss, and it was the Jedi Temple ruins that had stood out as a dense area of dark side energy. Now Rasu sat, cross-legged on the mossy stone floor, opening herself to the Force while searching the ruins through her mental vision. Immediately Rasu could sense the presence of Voss' dark entity, a stain that had been present since the Jedi's arrival and one that would hopefully be purged in due time. She ignored the darkness, shutting herself off from the dark side so to avoid a fate similar to her Padawan, Chani, who had collapsed after venturing too close to its dark heart. Rasu ventured further with her vision, hesitating as she approached a rather stronger lightless area, one that stood out among the varying patches of darkness across the entire temple ruins. There is where I must go, she thought, rising from her position.

Jogging over to join the rest of the group, Rasu just caught the invitation cast by young Coci, one that she could just not ignore. She had grown to know the young woman more and more during the time on Voss, and was confident in her abilities as a Jedi. It was nothing against the other Padawans of the group, but this darkness that she sensed, just didn't sit well with her, and she would rather have the younger ones placed under the careful and protective eye of her dear friend Sochi, rather than put them in harms way, at least to keep her own conscience clear. She approached the woman, standing beside one of the various Padawans that had joined in on the mission, her two students being part of the group, catching sight of both Asaak and Chani. She cast them both a smile, but was unsure whether they had glimpsed the gesture. Turning back to face [member="Coci Sinopi"], she greeted the woman.

"Hello there, Knight Sinopi. I was wondering if you wouldn't mind having an old Shi'ido accompanying you as a member of your little group?" she asked smiling, hoping that Rasu's presence wouldn't provide any trouble with what the woman had already in mind.

She never thought she’d say it but not only was she used to [member="Maya Whitelight"]’s very physical greetings, she’d come to expect them. There was a time in her life such quick and unexpected contact would have sent her in to a flurry of self-defense, but now she only tilted her head to accept the kiss on the cheek, giving Maya a quick squeeze on the arm. “No, feet firmly planted this time my friend,” she offered with a small grin.

When a Twi’lek woman she had not yet met came over she smiled, her lekku moving slightly in kind as greeting. She looked between the newcomer and [member="Hasjo Hallu"], back and forth thinking…nah, she was probably just imagining a rather warm exchange between the two. Wishful thinking. “Hello, I’m Asaak Tey,” she offered in reply.

She missed the second Padawan moseying towards the caves and stopped by Hasjo when she noticed [member="Rasu Gan"] arriving. She caught the small smile and returned it with one of her own before turning back to the quickly gathering group of Padawans. She heard [member="Cambria Zadira"]’s question and turned to look at her once more, the rings on her lekku flashing a bit brighter with anticipation. “We have a good team gathered here already – I think we should be ready to face whatever is waiting,” she said, turning to fall in to step with the group.

Hawk could sense the more people gathering outside of the ruins. Still he and Chani were the only ones inside exploring. Hawk removes a flash light from his bag and switches the light on before going into the tunnel he and Chani discovered. "It smells in here." The light beam sides over the dead body. The light causes something on the body to sparkle.

"It a lightsaber hilt." He says to Chani. He kneels down to body. He gentle rolls it over. "Oh god." He mutters. The face on the body was his own. "What the frak? ". He shakes his head. "Chani what do you see here?"

After the initial discust faded what did not fade was the hair raising feeling all around them like the air was electric, the Kiffar reached out and touched the light-saber hilt, the device hummed awake in a brilliant display of red, a feeling of liberation washed over her as she glared at Hawk, an urge to bite him overwhelmed her, she wanted to eat his force presence and so she engaged him, wildly wielding the red saber with all the pent up emotions she felt, finally the body of Hawk crumpled into a pile and Chani splayed down on his mangled corpse, bathing her tendrils of arms and legs and face in his blood laughing maniacally-when all of a sudden a tug made her aware of something other than the sheer ecstasy of killing, then the force pulled her all the way back through a vortex of reality just in time to hear [member="Hawk Solo"] say, "-do you see here?"

This time she did not vomit, instead she cried and the tears flowed forth from the pockets of her past, she wept for all the wrong she had done and for all that was happening currently and even images flashing through her thoughts of what would be if she continued to follow a path skating the precipice of imbalance. Chani crawled to Hawk and held his waist, sitting on that dark dirty floor in the room that smelled a little too much like death, for a few moments she was hysteric in the purge of the darkside energy that inhabited her.

A few moments blended into another and she finally felt sane enough to speak, detach herself from hawk and groan out-loud in an exasperated cursing, "What the frak was that!" half question, half declaration of this place's ridiculous nature.

Hawk only saw glimpse of Chani vision. It was a possible future. He knew from experience that the future wasn't written in stone. Still it bothered him until Chani remorse washed over him. He held onto her as cried against him. Chani grief was powerful. He didn't know what she done in her past. He murmur words of comfort to her. "You have to forgive yourself before you can move on." He whispered to her.

Once Chani had regained her composure she release her hold on him. "I don't know. Whatever it is the body is gone."

She stole a sideways glance at the corpse and it was true! The specter had dissipated into the void, Chani waited a moment to compose herself more and exclaimed, "It goes farther in, shall we continue?" but this time she waited for some reason, maybe because of the vision she just experienced, possibly because of something totally unbelievable, she was actually learning, "Do you see anything else?" she produced a manufactured smile for [member="Hawk Solo"] , or more for herself. She noticed then the lightsaber hilt was still there...

It was time to be part of something, rather than just watch. Strike now, or regret it. He heard the offer of forming a group, it came from the pale one with dark hair, the girl. [member="Coci Sinopi"]?

He moved over the soft ground before him, moving through some of the others. He walked by a familiar looking man, but didn't look back. Was that [member="Thurion Heavenshield"]? The man who had pulled him off Rhen Var many months ago....it looked liked him. His warmth was radiating from his very presence there. Still, Connor smiled to himself at the memory and walked over until he came to edge of the pit where she was.

"Miss Sinopi. I may be new to the Order, but I offer my help if you require it."

His spine tingled slightly upon talking to her touching her with the Force. Had he met her before?

No. He couldn't have. It seemed the Force was starting to challenge his perception of things.

He didn't let the concern show.

Before she could get any words out things started to happen faster then would have like things to happen. Feeling of the group hitting her all at once, this causing her to keep quite not knowing how to act with this many all at once. It wasn't she didn't like crowd it was the echos she was getting of the one around her. Smiling still playing up her own lips, with a few winks, then came a rush of reality this might be more then meets the eye to this mission. Getting a sense from some that didn't like them being her, it wasn't as if wasn't face with danger with all the trips across the galaxy, dangers she had faced as a smuggler. Then before that was the wild of the jungle she born into the many dangers face upon that, what could be worse then this?

[member="Cambria Zadira"] Its nice to met you, I"m Maya Whitelight. Reaching out to touch Cambria to show of friendless she had with in she was after all a bubble of fun once those around could understand her personality being will being so outgoing.

Thurion promptly let go of the sturdy [member="Lok Jorunn"] as a multitude of others flocked to the man's side at the mere notion of him traversing this place alone. A sign of true camaraderie, right there, and one he would heed in letting the padawans roam freely. He would not hinder them from their work here, but would rather take on the role of an overseer, should things turn to the worse. For now, though, everything appeared to be going smoothly. No nastly surprises as of yet, from what he could tell.

"Go then, all of you youngsters!" he said in a jovial tone, more jokingly than anything else. "But don't stray too far in case this old man is need of attention, though", he continued in an old-timey voice. Giving a chuckle at his own little performance to outline how ridiculous it was, Thurion then turned and stepped away from the group, allowing them free reigns of exploration. For now, he would remain at the starting point, perhaps manage a little meditation to pass the time. Should anyone call out for help, the echo would carry itself to him, and he would set out in swift motion.

The man gave a short lived smile to the group, still continuing to marvel in their notion of sticking together. This was quite the rare occasion that Lok would work with someone. Perhaps he could even make a friend or two. Lok sucked in a heap of the dusty air, wincing as the particles went through his respiratory system. It smelled and felt much different than Midvinter, even more different than Coruscant and Corellia. Whatever. He'd get used to it like the few of his brethren that dared travel the stars. His muscles relaxed as more people arrived, easing himself into the feeling of being amonst people. This was something he could get used to.

Just as he started to move forward and make a go for the little hatch down the dimly lit corridor, a flash of dull red caught his attention. Steel grey eyes wavered, adjusting to make out the shape of two sets of crimson glowing orbs. They shimmered briefly, almost beckoning for him to follow, disappearing almost as quickly as they'd shone. The orbs had shown themselves down a tight little squeeze, a collapsed section of the wall blocking entrance unless you got down to crawl through it. Ever cautious, Lok made sure nobody was looking as he swiftly weaved around the outer edges of the group of Jedi and made a go for the opening. Silently, he dropped down on all fours and was in the little tunnel in an instant. Lightsaber in one hand, he yanked a tiny penlight from his utility belt and continued onward.

"It is good to be working with you again. You had Kat convinced when you mentioned I would have to leave the CIS. She's always been a free spirit, and glad this order gives me more flexability in that matter. Granted as along as I don't do Nything foolish like run ahead on a mission."

Judah chuckled in Bri's head through the force, before becoming quiet. It seemed the groups were forming into teams. There would be no choice for Judah. He quietly made his own decision. The Shadow would follow [member="Cambria Zadira"] and at a protective distance. She was like a sister to him, and Judah had an unorthodox view on attachment as it was. No harm would come to her before it came to him as long as he was around. It was his sense of chivalry in that regard which kept both he and [member="Katara Starkos"] awake every Eve of his departure. There was always the nagging thought it could be their last time together. Despite that the force always brought them back together.

Chocolate eyes caught another looking his way, silently noticing him before moving on. This one was familiar. Judah had worked with [member="Coci Sinopi"] before. It had been some time since they had worked together in the Army of Light, but it was good to see another familiar face. A small nod aknowledged he had seen her as well. There would be no mental intrusion unless discretion called for it.

Pushing off the wall, Judah stepped in line with the group he intended on following, or more precisely, the Twi'lek he intended on following. The Padawans would be found, and the structure explored.

“We have a good team gathered here already – I think we should be ready to face whatever is waiting,” [member="Asaak Tey"] said, turning to fall in to step with the group.
Hasjo nodded in agreement, looking to them as another fell into their ranks; Judah Lesan. He could smell the stench of pheromones in the air by his head-tresses. The Nautolans great eyes regarded the group gathered, some apart of the Kaadu Clan, others not. Hasjo naturally had far greater sight in low light, and superior peripheral vision that had aided him on more than one occasion. There were many things unique about the Nautolan race than that to others, but humans had their own strengths too. While Hasjo required regular hydration, and not just the drinking of liquid, but bathing in waters, the humans did not - only requiring to drink. Where the humans could not perform great feats of acrobatic skill, the Nautolan could with his lack of vertebrae.

Hasjo began to walk towards the decrepit ruins from a bygone age. He had explored numerous underwater caves throughout vast oceans, but something about this cave sent a chill down his back. He glanced over his shoulder to check that they were joining him. He shouldered his way through the thick crowd of Jedi. Darkness seeped around him within the ancient caverns, his immense eyes soaking up whatever light they could get. Dust and rubble cluttered around his black, leather boots. The crunching of delicate stone was audible beneath the padding of his feet.

[member="CHANI"]

Hawk was shaken by their shared vision. "Yes maybe we should wait for the others." He didn't want to tell Chani that most of his vision came true. For once he was hoping that it never came true.

He saw the saber. "I wonder who saber belongs too?" He couldn't tell by looking at it if it was Sith or Jedi. He was hesitate to touch it. Hawk didn't want another vision like the last one.

Her eyes lifted from the black hole to each of the Jedi that had decided to join her to ascertain what might be down there. She spoke little generally, and when she did it was in a blunt manner, it was not for any desire to be rude, but more to keep them at a distance and unfamiliar to her as the nature of the true duty required. "As you wish", she simply answered.

Coci pulled the force around her, strengthening her body and her legs before she jump. Quietening her mind, she focused on room below them search for any sign of life or of a presence of darkness. Although she could not sense any present danger, the darkside licked at her as if enticing a lover to join in an embrace. The disgust showed on her face in a snarl and the pupils of her black eyes widened making them even blacker. There is life down there, she could feel the life of thousands of small cave dwelling creatures of all sizes, hiding in the dark light. Her senses telling her that the room below is vast .. cavernous but with a solid floor.

She walked to the edge of the hole and pushed out .. using the force to jump down into the black abyss. Although her saber still ignited offered some form of vision, she used the force to sense the approaching solid floor and her feet touch down only to cause a loud crunch. Her face showed confusion at the noise .. looking down with the help of her saber light, she saw millions of tiny white bones of unknown creatures which littered the entire floor. The smell of the cavern hit her hard, a rank odour of putrid carcasses decaying couple with the waste of unknown creatures.

Coci held her saber hit and looked out to see thousands of eyes looking back at her. The intrusion of the girl and the light now sent these winged mammal like creatures in a frenzy to escape the hurtful light and they screeched in a loud cacophony of high pitch noise. They flew around her in a cloud of black and protested their disturbance before they all flew up and out of the whole in disgust.

"Look out!", she yelled but knew her warning was too late.

Those gleaming red eyes remained in his mind as he padded forward on all fours through the tight tunnel. The penlight sent a blob of light skittering across the walls, guiding him in his trek forward. After a few minutes of the constant movement and lack of elbow room, he began to get a little anxious of both his setting and of his decision to wander off away from the main group heading into the abandoned and forgotten temple. A scowl crashed upon his features as a musky, yet seemingly exotic scent hit his nostrils. Lok grunted once at the smell, swapped his lightsaber and penlight in his hands and continued forward.

By now, he was sweating. Not just because of the heat inside of the temple and a cramped space where his hot breath didn't help things, but his Valkyrian heritage had a built-in thermostat. His kind was much worse at acclimating to more temperate environments, but Lok managed to progress his body to adapt by exercising and drilling in the heat. The back of his hands were moist with sweat he'd wiped from his brow and his vision wavered ever so slightly. Not only that, a dark and malicious presence made itself known in the bottom of his gut. It was hard to determine the exact motive of the discovery, but it seemed more natural than evil. He gave up. With a little effort, he managed to shift his body and yanked out his canteen, taking several swigs from it with a small portion of it trickling down his chin.

Again, onward.

Salvation was found. He could smell something different in the stale, musky air as his guiding light flashed over the exit of the tiny passage. "Thank the Divines.." He mumbled under his breath, doubling his pace to get out of the cramped space. At last he was out in the open with a flop. Lok almost yelped in delight at the sensation of blood pumping back into his knees and toes, joyously stretching every muscle known to man. A few minutes of the stretching progressed before he curled up crisscrossed style upon a fallen support pillar. Each hand rested upon his knees, palms facing up towards the ceiling. His penlight and saber had been attached back on to his belt, which had been removed and sat next to him. Breathe in, breathe out. He told himself, easing his eyelids shut. The young man could feel everything. The distant group of Jedi, the blood in his veins, the little critters scurrying through cracks in the temple's walls...and something else.

Little did he know, the hunter had become the hunted.

She saw the wisdom in his statement, for once she agreed and looked down at the lightsaber hilt, the tether of the darkside was still pulling at her to active it and slay Hawk, but this would end her struggle into the light, she needed to stay close to the beacon and far away from the murky waters. Noticing Hawk's hesitation to pick it up, for as she knew both of them where Seers within the Silver Jedi Order she thought perhaps because of her Kiffar psychometry she could control the urge to plunge into the shadow vision. After a moment this seemed logical and so she bent down and snatched it up, looking into Hawk's eyes as she dampened the artifacts influence.

"Let's head back and group up, all of this adventure is giving me the shakes," she managed a smile and hopped back up into the passageway, retracing their steps.

He frowns when Chani picks up the saber. "I would have left the saber alone." They had no idea who it belong too. It felt wrong disturbing it. He follows her to the rest of the group. "This place is strong with the Darkside."

"Nice to make your acquaintances. I shall look forward to working with you padawans on this mission," Bri answered politely with a nod to [member="Asaak Tey"] and [member="Maya Whitelight"].

Cambria allowed the the young Torguta and Zeltron to go on ahead of her as they followed their Nautolan leader, [member="Hasjo Hallu"], into the Jedi Temple ruins. The Twi'lek Knight didn't need to look behind her to see who was tailing her as it was a given her good friend, [member="Judah Lesan"], would not be too far away. It was comforting to know she could always count on the Telosian Knight and hopefully he thought like wise of her.

She chuckled to herself as they were quite the team; one human and the rest aliens of different species.

Judah was a natural leader, and he tended to do what he wanted regardless of what he was told to do. That was a problem when he was a Jedi, and a variable with the Silver Jedi as of now. He did not know how they would react to his decidedly independent approach. The Knight was not one to take orders directly. He knew there was a chain of command, or maybe a default one for this group, but the moment a leadership vacuum was created, or anyone got so cocky the group got endangered, the Knight would default to his usual response, and simply step in as the leader.

Everyone could feel it, the very thing which made Hasjo's "skin" crawl was the dark side of the force. There was no need to warn Hasjo, he hoped. The new knight should be able to discern the dark side, but Judah still reached out to the entire group through the force.

"This place is crawling with the dark side. There is no telling what we may encounter. Keep your guard up, and Padawans, do not leave the group."

Did it sound like Judah was calling the shots there, yes, but that's how he was, direct. Another message was sent to [member="Cambria Zadira"] privately.

"There is more here than anyone bargained for. We had best keep our eyes on the Padawans. I don't know the green one well enough to know if he's the type to just rush into something before engaging his brain or not, same with these Padawans. Oh and Kat wanted me to say hello."
