"She's really nice. All of my siblings are. I know my parents seemed rather... harsh when you first met them, but you should understand that they were just trying to protect me and ensure that you weren't with me for the wrong reasons." She was fixing herself up so he left her to that and watched her do so. Truth be told, Navella would be good for Lenne. They were almost the same age, and who couldn't use a good friend? It would certainly help Lenne to have a friend that lived so close to her. He reached his hand over and brushed her hair lightly. "I think you'll be surprised when you see them at dinner."

Harsh? Harsh was telling her that her dress made her look fat and pregnant. No. His parents came off as a little more than harsh. Still, Lenne held her tongue on the subject. If he said she would be surprised at dinner, then she would wait until dinner. Stepping up to the looking glass she straightened out her wild tussled locks around her horns.
"Do you think... Do you think your people will like me?"

He watched her for a moment without answering. It was a tough question to answer because he just didn't know. Telling her what he wanted to tell her could make her upset later. Telling her the worst case scenario would just make her upset now. He opted for the most logical answer. "Some will and some won't. That's an inevitable reality since you are not a Falleen. They will respect you, though, regardless. When we're married they'll have no choice. To disrespect you would be folly." Chiefly speaking, if anyone tried anything against her, they'd probably wind up dead. If Radon didn't immediately kill them, his parents would certainly have them killed. The reality of being rulers. "It'll be alright, though. I think many will like you when they get to know you."

It was a tough question to answer. She knew what she wanted to hear. She also knew that if he told her what she wanted to hear, he would be lying, and her Prince never lied to her. So she took the answer he gave her. She took that answer and stored it deep in her heart. They didn't have to like her now, but someday, when she'd given their next King many little princes and Princesses, then she could hope to earn their love.
"I know," she sighed, "I have a lot to learn, don't I? About this life style..."

He nodded at what she said. "Yes, it takes a while to learn it all. I grew up learning it. For you... It might be harder," he said as he stood up and walked over to her, slipping his arms around her waist. He offered a glance at the chrono and then leaned in to kiss her neck lightly. She was going to be great. She had it in her to be great, she just needed to believe in herself. "It'll be fine with time. You have it in you to be a great Princess and future Queen, Lenne. I've known that the entire time we've been together. I wouldn't trade you for anyone in this galaxy." He smiled and pulled back, offering her his hand. "Come on. Let's go to the dining hall."

It was nice that he had such confidence in her. It made her smile, despite how nervous she felt. She gave her Prince her hand to follow him out of the room to the dining hall.
"Any advice for me?"

"Sure," he said, giving her hand a squeeze. "Be yourself." He winked at her and led her down the stairs and out of their suite. The hall was empty as it was when his siblings weren't there to occupy it. Only Navella was around and she would already be as the dining hall he was certain. They walked along until he turned her through a doorway and into the dining hall, where Navella and his parents were already seated. "Good, Radon and Lenne, please be seated where you wish," his father said, motioning to the table. Navella smiled at Lenne and nodded to the seat beside her if she wanted. Radon released Lenne's hand so that she could be seated, and then he sat beside her. "Forgive me, Lenne. I did not get the chance to compliment you on your dress earlier," his mother said. "You look charming, my dear."

Be herself? Did he understand WHO herself was? She followed him in silence anyways, all the way to the dining hall. What she saw made her gulp in fear. Still so darn intricate and fancy! When she ate back at home, it was a plain wooden table, one plate and 3 utensils!
She nervously took her seat next to her soon-to-be sister, glad to have a least ONE woman here she could talk to. She blushed when her soon-to-be Mother complemented her.
"I-err... Thank you."

"You're quite welcome. I do hope you enjoy the meal." And by meal she meant a multiple course feast. For them, this was normal. To start with it was a salad made with calamari and various other meets. It might look gross to some, but it was actually quite delicious. And it was well cooked, not slimy or anything. Navella leaned over to Lenne. "It's okay if you don't like it, but make sure you try it." Radon's father was looking right at him as he cut into the calamari, but Radon ignored him. The man was bound to ask some silly question that he could answer later in private. Instead, it was his mother, again, that spoke. She did like to do most of the talking. "Tell me, Lenne. How did you meet my son?"

The young Zabrak looked down at the first course. Something slimy and gross-looking on her plate. She looked around at the others to see if anyone else was eating. They were. She picked up a fork (hoping that it was the correct one) swallowed her pride, and took a bite. Actually... it wasn't bad!
She almost choked on her first bite though when Radons Mother spoke out.
"H-how we.... met?"
She glanced at radon for guidance.

Radon was busy eating. It tasted good, after all. Having been away from Falleen for a while, he'd forgotten what it was like to be at home, eating with the rest of his family. Now that he was there, he wasn't entirely sure he wanted to leave again. He did, after all, prefer his people to the rest of the galaxy. Lenne was looking at him. He glanced at her. "Go ahead and tell them." He smiled a bit and winked at her before he sat back and looked between Lenne and his parents, waiting to see what they would do in reaction to how he and Lenne had first met.

The girls eyes narrowed at her lover. How was she supposed to explain how they met? Best to just... say it.
"We were... on opposite sides in a war. I was on a mission to blow up a building. What building it was doesn't really matter."
She glanced at Radon once again, then looked into her lap, blushing.
"He, well... 'convinced' me not to fight him. I kind of... fell under his spell. I let him leave. He promised we would meet again. When we did meet again, I umm.... broke him out of a Republic prison."

Radon's father didn't seem at all pleased. "Radon. What were you doing in prison?" The younger Mont grimaced a little as he looked up at his father. "Exploring the depths of their depravity?" The expression he got from his father said that he wasn't convinced. "Alright. I killed a bunch of humans on some world. No big deal. Turned myself in so she would come and find me. When she did, she helped me escape. It was all planned." The King shook his head and his mother stared at the two of them with an open mouth. Navella spoke next. "You broke him out of prison? I would have left him there. Would serve him right for all the times he teased me." She grinned and winked at Lenne. "You sure he's not using his pheromones on you? I don't see what you see in him."

Her cheeks turned the same color as the bright red table cloth. His parents were going to hate her now. Navella speaking out both helped and hurt the situation.
It was a nice, funny distraction, but her comment about pheromones made her shrink in her seat.
"I... um... I'm pretty sure," she stumbled on her words, looking to Radon for support here, "You're not...? Right?"

Radon reached around Lenne and poked his sister in the side. She squirmed and he smirked. "Of course I'm not. Would ruin what we have if I was." His mother shot him a look and he shook his head. She nodded and then smiled a little. "Well, either way, I think you'll have a wonderful wedding. We've begun arranging the parade. Do you have a dress yet?" Radon jabbed a bit of the calamari, only to have his plate taken away and nerf steak replace it. Round two. "I thought she and Navella could go shop for a dress, actually." He turned his attention between two of them. "That would be fun!" Navella said. "We could go tomorrow!" His mother nodded. "That sounds like a good idea. Navella could show her around too."

The plate was mercifully taken away. Delicious as it was, she didn't enjoy something that slimy sitting in front of her. The dish that was placed in front pf her was significantly more appealing though. She actually felt her mouth water a little. While the others discussed her shopping trip (decided for tomorrow, apparently) she cut into her steak with the eagerness of a hungry pregnant woman.
"I'll be happy to have your help," she said to Navella, stabbing at her steak, "truth me told, fashion isn't exactly my thing."

"The dress you're wearing is very nice," Navella said, clearly confused by Lenne's statement. "I picked it out. Bought her several of them." Navella and his mother both blinked at him. "What? You act like I can't buy nice things!" Navella giggled and his mother just laughed. His father smirked a bit, but just ate his steak. Radon was surprised at his father's choice to remain mostly quiet, but Radon guessed that the man just didn't have anything to say, or perhaps he didn't want to say anything to upset anyone. Navella just shrugged. "I don't care. I'm sure you'll pick something out that you think looks good. If not, I will." She leaned over and not so quietly whispered. "You sure you want to marry him?"

Ah, finally some ease to the tension in the room. She laughed with the rest of him, trying not to choke on the steak she was carefully shredding with her sharp teeth. When the girl whispered, Lenne pretended to think about it for a moment.
"I think so," she answered, trying to sound skeptical, "Why, do you think there's somethin' wrong with this one? Should I get a different one?"

Navella grinned. "Nah. He's just so old!" Radon rolled his eyes, and then flicked a piece of steak at his sister. It smacked her right in the face thanks to a little bit of redirection with the Force. "Hey!" He grinned and his father rolled his eyes. "Radon, stop playing with your food and eat it." Radon's smile turned into a wince. "Yes, father." He grabbed a hunk of steak and ate it, staring at his sister, who stuck her tongue out at him. "Keep that in your mouth if you want to keep it," he said. She sucked her tongue back in and he grinned. "Just be glad the others aren't here, Lenne. They'd be picking on him even worse!" Navella went back to eating her steak. "At least they eat their food instead of playing games at the table," his father said, a small smile tugging at the corners of his lips.

Perhaps this was her kind if family after all. In many ways, it reminded her of home. Her siblings... she actually missed them now. But they were mostly gone now. Families of their own. Some of them stayed behind to help Mother and father though. Perhaps, after the baby's born, she would take her little Prince or Princess to go see them.
She cut up another piece, loving the juicy bloody bits. She'd never really had anything this nice before. Not really. At home it was whatever Mother could bring home from the hunt. Father was a good cook, but sometimes he just couldn't help the flavor.
