To catch a Street Rat.

Yusan watched the skyline as he stood outside his home on Coruscant. He lived in a lower class area where workers for the Jedi Temple, the Senate building, and other government buildings lived. He stayed close to them and improved their lives the best he could when he could. The morning air was no better than the midday or night air, but he pretended such and took in a deep breath, remembering the sights and smells of Eshan, and his old home. Today was going to be a good day. @[member="Carliah Dakrone"]

Walking the Path to Redemption
Carliah was walking down the street, eyes cast towards the ground. She'd had a rough night once again, finding a place to sleep out on the streets was becoming harder and harder for her. People were beginning to take notice of the seemingly blind girl wandering the streets at night and it was becoming hard for her to avoid some manner of confrontation each night. She sighed, wishing she could find a job and get off the streets. As she was walking past a nearby alley a hand shot out and pulled her into the shadows between the buildings on either side of the small pathway.

Yusan's eyes drifted to the side, the uneasy feeling was only there for half a second, but it was there long enough for him to know something was wrong. His eyes followed the street side as he walked down it, stopping at the mouth of an alley and turning to face it before he grabbed his lightsaber. Went down the alley and kept as silent as possible and slowly went down it, sticking to the shadows. His breath was controlled, his steps light, and his eyes sharp as he starred into the dark alley. @[member="Carliah Dakrone"]

Carliah felt herself being slammed into the wall. Her head cracked against it painfully and she slid to the ground. She didn't waste any time before grabbing her vibrosword from where it hung at her side. She quickly got to her feet and looked around the dark alley, searching for her attacker. @[member="Yusan Fenn"]

Yusan watched her, but wasnt as stupid as the girl's attacker. The girl was far from being blind and Yusan knew immediately what she was just by letting his mind reach out to the two and sensing she had the force. He knew she was Miraluka and now all he had to do was sit back and wait for her attacker to think she was joking and reach out, her force sight would show her what he was doing and she would cleave off the hand if he was right... or she could just be a blind human who had Force sensitivity, but the former was more likely. @[member="Carliah Dakrone"]

Carliah waited for her attacker to reach towards her once more, this time she caught his hand and pulled him off balance using the weight behind his own movement. She stepped closer as she pulled him forward and placed her vibrosword mere inches from his throat. "In a few seconds I'm gonna let you go, and you're going to turn around, and run or I'll cut your arms off. Got it?" The man nodded weakly in reply. Carliah smirked and let go of his wrist, though not before she had twisted it to the left until it snapped.

Yusan watched the man stumble past and started clapping as he left, walking out of the shadows. A grin was on his face and his eyes rested on the girl as he walked closer, stopping about two meters from her and inclining his head slightly. "So, how are you doing miss. It seems like you are having a good day. The locals seem to take a liking to a Miraluka they think is just a blind little girl who cant defend herself. I must ask, can you actually use that thing your carrying or is it for show?" @[member="Carliah Dakrone"]

Carliah turned head in Yusan's direction, the smirk still present on her face. "Oh I can use it, want me to show you?" She kept the sword raised as she spoke, her stance betraying her distrust of the person speaking.

Yusan raised a brow and activated the saber in his hand for a moment, holding it up for her to 'see'. "If you want, i can assure you though im better trained." He left the sky blue blade lit, its light illuminating the beautifully crafted handle as he stared at the girl. He had no intention to fight or hurt her... well that was a lie, he wanted to a little. That way he could show her what she faced in this world but also study her and see if she truly know how to use her force powers, or if she just was sensitive to them with no training. @[member="Carliah Dakrone"]

Carliah let her smirk fade as she returned her vibrosword to it's place at her side. "You're trained in the Force aren't you? Better than I am anyway." She paused for a moment and studied him. "What is it you want? Why bother coming in here after me?"@[member="Yusan Fenn"]

"Well that depends, how come you look like youve had a already rough week, much less a rough day?" He leaned on the wall and deactivated his saber, letting it clip to his side before speaking again. "And no, im not a Jedi or a Sith, just someone with a past that follows me everyday." @[member="Carliah Dakrone"]

"It's... Been a rough few years actually.... Though lately I've been having an even harder time. Finding a place to sleep out on the streets without having to worry about being killed in your sleep is a really hard thing to do!" Carliah sounded a bit angry as she spoke. "Especialy when everyone think's you're blind."@[member="Yusan Fenn"]

"Mostly." He held up a finger, grinning still as he corrected her and leaned against the wall of the alley. "So you have no where to stay? What about family or friends?" He listened intently, his life had shaped him to gather as much information as possible on someone in the first meeting, so that if you met again you knew what to expect of them. It wasnt a hard thing to do, you just had to speak little, ask key questions, and listen and watch them intently. @[member="Carliah Dakrone"]

"I... Don't really have a family anymore... I left home when I was thirteen... Didn't have the kindest man alive for a father.... Damn spice addict." Carliah punched the wall next to her as she spoke, opening a bloody gash on her knuckles though she seemed not to notice it. She looked again at Yusan. "Why do you care?"

Yusan nodded and walked over to her, his eyes not on her but her blood hand and unless she resisted he would take it and look at it. "Well you see, this neighborhood is under my watch and your in this neighborhood. Therefore, you are under my watch and protection too." He grabbed at his cloak and tore off a bit, tying it around her knuckles and palm tight, it would like likely sting as he did but it did the job. @[member="Carliah Dakrone"]

Watched calmly as he bandages her hand. She glanced up at him after he had finished speaking. "I don't actually live in this neighborhood... I kinda hop around from one place to another. Easier to avoid any street gangs and other dangerous people."
@[member="Yusan Fenn"]

"Well if you need somewhere to stay im sure i can find you some place, people in this neighborhood are generally a kind group. Its why i choose to live here, its a nice place when you look past it being a lower class area." He stepped back and looked her over once, thinking to himself. "But first, you need a place to get cleaned up, you look like you have had a shower for years." He started towards the end of the alley and waved his hand. "Come along." @[member="Carliah Dakrone"]

Carliah followed behind him cautiously, keeping one hand on her vibrosword. She had no reason to distrust the man in front of her, but she had no reason to trust him either. She wondered where he could possibly be taking her. @[member="Yusan Fenn"]

Yusan only turned the corner and came to the first door on the left, entering what looked like a rundown apartment complex. He looked at the person at the main desk and smiled. "Hows your day been Haidrian?" The man replied with a shrug and Yusan nodded, heading towards the elevator and heading it it. He keyed in the thirteenth floor once Carliah was in and let the repulsorlifts bring them up. Once at the floor he stepped out and went to the first room, opening the door and stepping in.

The place had only three rooms, one of which was a bed room, the other a study and the third, the main one, was a Kitchen and living room. The Furniture was cheap and there was barely anything that wasnt generally a necessity. Just a table, a stocked kitchen, chairs here and there and a holoscreen. It had a a few windows, and through them one would notice key features showed in the distance. And lastly the room had several obvious cameras and too a extremely sharp eye they would notice small cracks in the wall, man made ones. @[member="Carliah Dakrone"]
