To Malif Cove (One Sith/Sith Assassins)

Fortress_-_Cliffs.jpg
Malif Cove
The sound of water rushing over smooth rocks filled the air across the beach. This was a beautiful area to be seen, the blue of the ocean, the green of the grasslands, and the white of the sand making an amazing picture. One could not imagine this place as anything but a vacation spot for small families. Yet, there were several who knew more. The Seyuigi Dervish. Once, a powerful group of Force Users whose one goal was assassination. Known for their uncanny ability to track their marks and their impressive unarmed form, they were once hunted down and killed by the Jedi Order.

To this day, they were believed dead and gone. But the Sith knew more than most would believe. There last stronghold, Malif Cove, was on a planet known as Recopia. And it was here that the Sith Lord known as Darth Ferus had chosen to make his home. He was far from alone in this, and as he walked down the white beech he awaited none other than those who were to assist him in recreating the feared Sith Assassins.

[member="Darth Kentarch"] , the Lord of Guile; [member="Darth Arcanix"] , the Lady of Elegance; [member="Darth Valtryx"] , The Red Jewel; [member=Vi'kas Mirtis"], The Demon's Fist; [member="Feral Sapith (K'sara)"] ; [member="Vual"] ; [member="Ardana 'nilim"] ; [member="Kilrys Serccci"] ; [member="Wes Jorel"] ; and none other than [member="Matsu Xiangu"] ; the one who started all of this. It was this day that the Sith Assassins would not only find a home, but a base of operations. A training group. A forge. This was going to be their temple.

The blue eyes of the Darth rested upon the visage that was the old Seyuigi Dervish's home. Still preserved, even after hundreds of years. The walls stood against the rushing tide sturdy as ever, and everything about the rock face screamed danger. The best part was it was hidden from any eyes in the sky, a perfect place to rest your head. A smile formed across Ferus's face as a single thought passed through his mind.

This will be our fortress.

Vi'kas Mirtis, the Fist of the Demon, stepped off of the shuttle and onto the white, sandy beach. The time had come, the assassins would be reborn. And he would become one of the first. [member="Darth Ferus"] himself would be the first assassin of this age. He mused over the name Al Owal, which meant "The First."

He approached the Zabrak. It seemed that it was just him and his master for the time being. He stood there admiring the monastery-fortress. A worthy base indeed.

"Master, it is a pleasure to lay eyes upon this structure. I trust you feel the same?"

He was reluctant to enter a circle based around Assassins due to his heritage and history with other assassins. Kilrys stepped off the shuttle that had brought him to the planet, he looked around him, inspecting the area and nodded his head. This place was somewhat calming for those that needed it and it was powerful, even in his unfocussed powers he could feel the Force vibrate from the walls of this planet.

Kilrys stepped onto the surface and slowly moved forward as he looked from side to side, he looked to see if anyone was following him or if he could feel anyone follow him, the paranoia that affected him was driving higher with his lack of soup, the life source that drove his need to kill, to conquer other beings.

Kilrys eventually approached where he saw two beings standing side by side, looking and waiting. He approached them slowly, before speaking I need soup, I need to feast on lesser minds. Will the assassins prove that? His need was what had kept him alive for over 340 years and if he was going to live as long as other Anzati he needed more soup.

Vual took his time exiting the shuttle that he acquired to the Malif Cove, he enjoyed the moments he had after landing on the planet as a way to assess the immediate environment before finally exiting. Once his feet hit the soil of the land, he took in a deep breath and made his way towards the group that was forming but made sure that he kept aware because he was entering a group of assassins after all. The pureblood didn't give anyone more attention that he believed they deserved and once he slunk in among them, he crossed his arms and listened in.

Taeli cracked her neck as she landed her personal Sicarius-class Infiltrator near where the rest of the ships had landed. While she was not cut out to be an assassin, her skills lay elsewhere, she had decided to help them in other ways. Everyone needed weapons, armor, ships, and a stable base of operations. Plus, she knew Darth Ferus would not mind her helping with this and she didn't mind helping him.

Stepping off her ship, she made her way to where the others where gathering in the shadow of Malif Cove. This area had such an interesting history, and Taeli had been perusing it on her short flight here. A secret shipment of materials and such would be on it its way to a nearby location for use by them to build up and create what they desired of this area.

It was a great rarity to find Darth Kentarch in the Core. Typically the Sith Lord stayed in the far reaches of the galaxy, in Wild Space or the Outer-Rim, however things had changed. His home planet Ession was overrun by another schism of Jedi and half the people in the galaxy vanished in the blink of an eye for sometime. Thus he returned to the stars looking a new place to operate from. Recopia however was not a typical core-world. A rural planet it lacked strategic significance to the galaxy as a whole and was surprisingly low profile for its place along the major trade routes. Yet the planet had a small yet interesting history to it that Kentarch found alluring, and that had brought him across the stars to place know as Malif Cove.

Stepping off the hover-barge, the Sith Lord was dressed in a black cloak, which the hood had been pulled down to conceal his facial features. He had kept a very low profile in his small journey, getting in contact with [member="Darth Ferus"] he made arrangements to be apart of this gathering. The civilian transport vanished over the horizon from where it came, and once out of site Kentarch began his walk to the cove where the other Sith would be waiting.

Another Sicarius-Class Infiltrator descended from the sky, landing next to Arcanix's. This one was owned by Valtryx, who stepped out of the ship shortly after it had powered down. The red-haired woman spotted the gathered people almost instantly, and approached them with a graceful walk. Her attention became mostly taken by the scenery, natural and beautiful in her eyes. She had never come to this planet before and already it had taken to her liking. Having a base here would definitely be in her interests.

Once she had reached the group she nodded to them in greeting, although mainly to the people she knew. Her master had decided to come, which although it didn't surprise her made her feel like this was the right thing to do. The assassins would become something more than just a group of killers, they would be deadly efficient in their own arts, variations of which would be exclusive to them. Hidden blades of the proposed kind were a rarity, and being able to use them would give them the upper hand in assassinations. An optimist could have said the order would become the greatest assassins in the galaxy.

But Valtryx wasn't exactly an optimist. However, she was a woman of plans, and her plans were to take out the people that stood in her way of power. With assassins at her disposal, her goals became ever so closer to completion...

"Ah good, many of you have actually shown up." A smile formed over the red mans face as he looked about at the small group forming behind him. His mission, his goal, was near it's finish. To create a new Assassin order in the name of the One Sith. But one goal was not all he had. Today, they would finish the first step to a much larger plan, and today would be the day the histories mark as the first day of fear. Fear of not knowing who or what is in your shadow. On if you would wake up in the morning.

"This was once the home of a powerful group of assassins. It will serve us well as a new home. A home that all of us will assist in building. It has been many years since anyone other than the monks above have set foot in it's doors after all." Without another word the Red Assassin would walk to the tall door carved in the mountain side, and push it open with a single mighty push. "We have much to set up. Vi'kas, Kulrys, Vual. Clear the debri and any vermin you might find. I figure this would be a good way to feast on lesser minds for you Kulrys." His tone was that of a master speaking to his apprentices, and those three happened to be several of his own. But his gaze would turn to the three would would be left.

"Lord Kentarch. I have not seen you in a very, very long time. I am pleased to have your assistance, more than you know. And as ever, I am pleased both Lady Valtryx and Lady Arcanix are here was well." He would offer a wink to the mother of his child before offered a bow of his head to all three of them. "I will not give you three orders, and instead leave it up to you on what you wish to do. I personally will be looking for any relics from the last order here. Perhaps we could find one of their martial scrolls and use it to make our own combat style, no?" With another smile the red man would turn back to the temple itself, spreading his arms out. "Though, this place is beautiful. A good place to hide the sheer darkness within."

He looked to his mentor and bowed his head, his proboscises flickered from their hiding and his hunger forced him to drool like a starved beast, he walked into the temple with his eyes fixating on finding the vermin.

He wandered down a hallway on his own, preferring to hunt solo as he knew that some were grossed by his feeding actions. He noticed some debri and walked over to it and lifted it up, out of the way.

"If you don't mind, Lord Ferus, I'll begin setting up equipment for my lab here and also getting other important things established," Taeli said, curtsying in response to his bow. "I have a team delivering supplies to a small LZ nearby and we will be moving them into the area to set up shop. Don't wait up for me, but keep some history for me to . . . study."

There was an implied request to make if anyone was still living in the structure to have one or two delivered to her. She had experiments to run after all.

Vi'kas was a very observant person, who watched and analyzed situations from the comfort of his own brain. He had just caught [member="Darth Ferus"] 's wink to [member="Darth Valtryx"] , and wondered if there was some meaning behind the action. He pushed the thought aside, resolving to look into it on his own time.

He set off inside the ancient structure, and switched on his eyes' night vision function. He could have used the force to begin removing the rubble, but decided against it. He rolled up his sleeves, and began hauling out rubble the old-fashioned way. He could use a bit of physical activity, and an upper-body workout seemed fine to him. He picked up large chunks of fallen debris and hauled them out of the halls, tossing them onto the beach.

Darth Kentarch finally reached the group of Sith, and was greeted by Darth Ferus. "I has been a long time, almost seven years if I count correctly." Kentarch replied. He was surprised that [member="Darth Ferus"] just dropped his name, there were few people in the galaxy that knew his name or who he even was. Anonymity was one of Kentarch's strength and he preferred to keep it that way. Glancing around he looked at the other Sith who had gathered here above the ancient fortress.

"I will checking out the monastery and speaking to the monks." Kentarch replied to Ferus. "I don't want to see them driven from their home or killed for sport. Their presence, and the underground nature of the fortress will make this our base even more less suspicious to unwanted visitors." He continued, glancing at the other Sith Lords. "Afterwards I will be more than happy assisting you in setting up operations."

"I should of expected as much. You do love to spoil me, don't you?" Ferus offered a large grin to [member="Darth Arcanix"] , nodding once. "I appreciate the supplies. It makes me happy to know I have such good friends." There was no hint of sarcasm in his voice. He was actually being serious. Arcanix and him had a rather good working relationship, and he figured so long as neither gave the other a reason, they wouldn't betray one another.

Letting her go do her thing, he turned his gaze to [member="Darth Kentarch"] , nodding once. "Aye, that's actually a good idea. This however brings up another question. I cannot see everything by myself. Would you be interested in assisting me?"

Taeli stretched as she watched the freighter land nearby and men began to offload equipment.

"Jaxson, no trouble I presume?" she asked her chief engineer and right-hand man in Krayt operations.

"None, Lady Arcanix, vetted all the men and woman who came here myself, and I was very thorough. All of them know this will be their new home and lab."

"Good, let's get the equipment loaded into the lower floors, should be a sufficiently large space to begin unloading things," she said, looking around a moment before leaning and whispering, "the forge and kit?"

"Ready for you to personally move into wherever your private lab will be, my Lady," he mumbled, and she nodded.

"Good, let's get this stuff loaded in and unloaded,' she ordered and her workers began using hover trolleys and repulsorlifts to begin moving the large crates and plasteel containers towards the entrance to the structure. It was going to take a while, but they would have a fully functional weapon and armor lab in the temple, along with an alchemy forge and potions she would be crafting herself.

Vual would give his master, [member="Darth Ferus"] a bow before setting off to clear the debris. After a good time spent moving by hand he spat on the ground, gripping his saber's hilt and allowing the blade to spring to life and within a split second, he began hacking at the debris and with a wide grin, eventually finished the job. After such, he would let the blade flicker back before latching the hilt to his belt and entering the temple.

"Time to kill vermin."

He would then make his way looking around the place for any sort of vermin.

The debri seemed to be everywhere, Kilrys used the Force when his brute strength wasn't enough. His proboscises flickered as he sensed movement in the hallway, he moved into a crouch and stalked his prey, following the faint footsteps as moved silently, his heart didn't beat so he didn't have to worry about it being heard as he gazed from the shadows and saw his prey move.

Just before he pounced onto the vermin he noticed it wasn't vermin but another padawan. He growled as he was forced to stop his attack, not revealing his presence to whichever padawan it was who he nearly attacked he noticed several rats. Be attacked them, his proboscises shoved up their noses and quickly draining them of soup, it wasn't enough, nowhere near enough. He needed more and something sustainable to stop him killing the other padawans for it or the monks up above from what he heard there were loads up there and he was deeply hungry.

He shook his head, his Mentor gave him a task, kill vermin. Clear debri. The lower levels would require that, he stepped down silently as possible.

"I will do all I can to assist you." Darth Kentarch replied to [member="Darth Ferus"]. "I'll let you work out the fine details on where you need me in terms of operational oversight and support." His tone the same emotionless ominous voice as ever. He glanced at [member="Vual"] and [member="Kilrys Serccci"] then back at Darth Ferus. "It would be much appreciated if we could use some discretion in get the fortress suitable for operations. Just a little." He said out loud.

Glancing off at the nearby monastery, he noticed several small figures in the distance looking at the assassins. No doubt the locals were curious to the recent stir in activity. "Make sure the apprentices stay their blades. I want to speak to the monks, ensure misdirection can used instead of coercion. If things go well, the assassins should be able to dwell here without outside scrutiny. We'll need to screen hyperspace jumps into the system for good measure. But I think thats [member="Darth Arcanix"]'s department." He said back to Ferus.

"Aye, that does sound like [member="Darth Arcanix"] 's forte. I'll be sure to bring it up to her once she is finished." A faint chuckle would escape his lips as he looked over to the group. Locals. Oh how he loved them. Glancing over to his apprentices though, he could see [member="Darth Kentarch"] 's reasoning behind his words. A slight frown would form over his face as he left the Pale Assassin with a nod of agreement and moved to [member="Vual"] and [member="Kilrys Serccci"] .

In a low whisper he would speak, yet his words carried on much darker. "Tone it down, we're Assassins, keep that in mind. To the public, we're nothing more than renovators and exterminators. For now at least. Try to keep the soup drinking to a minimum, or out of sight. Kick people in here out, and kill the rats only." Blue eyes would flick between the two. [member="Vi'kas Mirtis"] was doing a good job on his own, so there was no reason for him to talk with him. Yet that was.

Carrying a heavy crate with the Force into a side entrance into the lower levels, one that would be sealed up and destroyed once they finished moving stuff, Taeli smiled as she looked at the stacked equipment already in place. The others would probably be having fun above her, dealing the monks or such, but she had a job she was more interested in doing. Some of the men and women had started setting up lights and temporary generators, lighting their new work space.

"My Lady, shall we begin setting up?" Jaxson asked, setting a crate down.

"Yes, best to get some of this stuff unloaded," Taeli said, nodding.

Opening the containers and crates, the technicians and workers began picking up equipment, while a few others kept stringing lights along the passages and rooms beyond. Taeli might have gone just a little overboard in what she wanted to turn this area into, but if the Assassins wanted her to provide equipment, she wanted a full lab.
